The food is pretty delicious. It is also more interesting that you will cook the meat yourself on the built-in table grill. Prices are expensive, you will pay $24 for a serving of barbecue meat. Also, if you sit together at a large table and people sit down to you, then a plastic transparent partition will be placed between you, which does not help at all.
The waiter rarely comes to the table. But in general, this place is always crowded, the interior is simple, the food is delicious although expensive. However, you get a lot of free sides as rice, kimchi, salad and many other dishes.

This is definitely my favorite place of all times. They closed like a whole year during pandemic and we missed them so much but now they are back and improved. I’ve been coming here since 2015 and just love it. Servers really take care of you but Jose is the best! We were so sad when Furusato was closed at the beginning of the pandemic so super excited to find out it reopened! However, the receipt states that the store is "Ko Hyang Gal Bi" so not sure if there's a ownership change but they kept the Furusato name on the store since that's what the locals know it as..?

Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - most of their dishes would benefit from thinner and more consistent slices. Our order of beef brisket had some that were super chewy just because the slice was thicker and required longer cooking time than others. The beef belly was fairly consistent as was the pork belly. The galbi beef tasted mostly of soy sauce and oil but was missing the sweetness from the brown sugar. Both the rice paper and radish paper were oddly thick. The kimchi wasn't marinated enough

Ambience: 5/5 - the remodel of the store did wonders and the grills have been updated as well for hotter fires

Service: 5/5 - all the servers are really nice and attentive. They stop by to check on us as they walk past

Value for price: 1/5 - while the price has almost doubled, the meat quality has not improved. Unfortunately, this was our favorite cheap BBQ place previously but now it doesn't meet the quality nor price expectations anymore :(

First of all, this restaurant underwent a renovation and change of management which has made this place amazing now. The prior low reviews are all from 4-6 years ago.

Come here for an amazing all you can eat (AYCE) Korean BBQ experience. The menu is limited to 6 items (beef brisket, beef belly, pork belly, beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, and spicy pork bulgogi). By having a small menu, they can keep prices very low (only $21.99 for a buffet as of March 2022)!

The service was the first thing I noticed was exception. The servers checked on us several times and keep food flowing, banchan (side dishes) replenished, and waters topped off.

The side dishes you can get are rice, rice noodle wraps, radish wraps, potato in a sweet sesame sauce, kimchi, spicy cucumber, and salad.

We got the beef brisket, pork belly, and beef belly.

The beef dishes were excellent. The meat was really tender and fresh, and the 3 dipping sauces of a sweet sauce, a spicy sambar, and a salt and sesame oil paired well with the beef. The meat had a good amount of fat on them as well which made it juicy.

The pork belly was thick and so fatty that it melted in your mouth when you would eat it.

Overall, this is an excellent, 5-star restaurant that has great service, great food, and a great price.

It’s a lot of meat they offer. If you eat a lot, go with Menu B. If not, just stick with Menu A. Hite is light beet. One tall bottle is good enough for two if you don’t drink a whole lot. Don’t eat rice from the start. It’ll fill you up quickly. Just stick to the meat.

I've been here about 3 times, I don't like how bright it is so I rarely go but I love their simple menu. Today I visited and I was alone and they gave me no trouble. I sat down around 1130, instantly greeted with service. Throughout my visit, constantly asked do I need something, I had to tell them "gimme a second" once. That is awesome. The guys there were on top of their game, big time. Actually made me feel better after my world cup elimination.

The food wasn't the best but if you take your time and season it, it'll get there. Each time I asked for something, they said ok. Not once did they say they didn't have it. Very chill restaurant. When I need a pick me up, I'll be back. Once again, the servers were more than awesome.

This would be my go to spot if it wasn't so bright but I updated my review and gave it 5 stars. There is nothing to complain about. I go here when I want the basics and that's it. Fair price (I guess), nice staff. A mirror in the men's restroom would be nice, a brother needs to check his hair out at times lol. Keep up the good work. Did you say Korean BBQ? Come check it out. You chose from a selection of meats you BBQ at the table. It you have children/grandchildren this part is so entertaining for them! They bring a salad and an array of side dishes, kimchee, cucumbers, potatoes, ginger, and more! They will continue to bring these as desired. Please no wasting. The staff is friendly (apparently they know my daughter) and they continue to check in if we want/need anything. Good food, good service, reasonable price= Its a WIN for our Ohana! Parking: The parking lot is somewhat small with about 12 spaces. Street parking is available.

First time back since the remodel. Prices have gone up. They used to be like $12 a person but now they are $23.99 a person. Food wise it is still delicious and simple. We always get the brisket, beef bulgogi, and beef belly. Easy and simple choice with rice paper. My wife and I came to have dinner at 5pm with our 4 kids, waited forever to get first round of meats, then waited forever for 2nd round of meats, all the while still waiting for condiment. Bill came and suggested tip was 15% I circled no tip and gave the waiter $20 tip in cash, we got the receipt and they went ahead and charged me 20% when I circled no tip. Thats just crooked and a form of thievery. Will never go here again. California already steals half my pay cheque .

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was able to be seated right away. The parking lot is small, only fits 10 cars or so. I got a spot but I can image that being a problem during dinner time or on weekends. For just over $20 for all you can eat its on the cheaper end of things which is nice, but expectations should match. I think they deliver on their price point. Nothing spectacular but if youre coming here your primary motivation is probably price, so it hits.

Ive seen many ppl thru out the years Ive been coming here just get the Brisket. But trust me dig deeper. See what sides you havent tried, or spicy it up with jalapeno garlic and onions. Each time you eat here try doing different combos of ingredients. We always put pork belly down first on a fresh grill. Makes it all not stick so bad plus BACON. It takes forever to cook.... but so worth it. Be Adventurous and bring Loved Ones, a meal is always more fun when cooked together. A go to place any time were in town. Love Furusato

The thing I didn t like is that they included the tip, whit out asking or giving you on option, and the guy was refusing to take it out, and he took it out he was trying to still on the receive and charge more that he supposed too, and he said is by law!!! Whit is not true except 6 or 8 or more not sure and you know , that you have to paid, I was goin to leave the tip for the waiter and I did after all the fight I don t like if they don t tell you in advance for those type of extra charges

At any point someone spends money to have a meal at a restaurant, its assumed youll be paying for excellent service and great food. Sadly, thats not the case with this restaurant! We had to ask 4 times for additional items and were ignored twice. Then they lowered the heat on the burner... so our food was not able to cook well. Terrible!! Im extremely disappointed in this restaurant! The service was terrible! The food was mehh... mediocre. The environment seemed pretty sterile... No type of ambiance, just plain white walls... We wont be back here.

Solid spot for Korean BBQ. Been there during peak and none peak hours and staff is pretty attentive all the way around. Resonably priced for what you get. Id say the beefand pork options are the way to go. Did not care for the chicken. If youre have the itch for KBBQ this will definitely do the trick

So happy to see this place back open! Wasnt sure what was happening during all the covid craziness. Place had a nice new feel to it for the most part. Food was the same as it was before, prices went up a little but still a bargain. My only dislike about this place is sharing a table with other people. Two guys at our table were just not having the kind of conversation I want while Im out with my wife on a date night.

Food was ok. Not my type of restaurant. Limited on vegetables. Parking was a headache.

Our favorite economic place to enjoy KBBQ hight quality, sadly during these terrible no precedents times the place is currently closed, I hope the owner can reopen very soon so they can keep assisting thousands of happy and nice people. to my friend the owner and staff I am here if you need any hand. We can do it.
