Im not going to lie, Im new to Tunisian food. Now I get the theme and culture a little since Ive traveled and eaten in these regions, so I have a palette for the food. Food: brilliant! Tastes flavorful and Mediterranean is fashions. The sauces and dips, wildly delicious. The bread is A++. The Lamb meatballs were a cuisine at its top game. The couscous that attended it was prime. Slider, a must! The falafel sliders hit hard. With such a juicy flavor packed ball sandwiched in between a scrumptious bun and some toppings, 100% right on. Drinks: cocktails and beer, solid. Fairly priced and well made. Service: finally, some genuine service and quality customer service. If Im paying high dollar, I expect high dollar service and they delivered. The servers did amazing. Atmosphere: flawless. They have a stage for live music, hints at the culture and a clean and welcoming setup for anyone dining. Why did I take 1 star from the food and overall? Because I reserve a special wow factor for a 5 star. So this 4 star should be almost equivalent. I wanted not only the experience, but something more. Not sure, but felt unfair giving a full 5. I super recommend this place though.

Inventive dishes, super cool staff, equally awesome for vegans and omnivores alike. Highlights: falafel sliders, sumac fries, roasted cauliflower, and the burek. Our server was the best! And we got a chance to meet the owners husband on the way out. And he was also the best! We will definitely be back!!

I am not one to write bad reviews. The food was good and service was fine. We sat on the patio since we had our dog with us. Unfortunately, there was a party of 10 children screaming and running completely out of control for the entirety of our dinner. This restaurant is located next to a kids dance studio. Definitely don t recommend planning to sit outside here as you could end up with your date night ruined like us.

My boyfriend and I had such an amazing experience dining here on our anniversary. The food was amazing, the ambiance was perfect, and the people were wonderful. Our server Valerie was very nice and helpful! The owner Adnan was also very friendly. We had a great time talking with him. The best thing was that we did not feel rushed and we were really able to enjoy ourselves. Do yourself a favor and get the falafel sliders and the Pilsner for sure. Already can t wait to go back. One of my new favorite restaurants!

TLDR; The food is so delicious that even if youre not familiar with Mediterranean cuisine, youll still love it. If I was to visualize the food, imagine a rainbow of colors spreading through your mouth in various layers. I discovered a whole new world of Mediterranean food that was quite different from what I usually eat. All three appetizers and three main dishes were outstanding, with every detail perfectly executed. For example, the farmers cheese had the perfect mix of vegetables to bring out the sweetness and texture (the yellow beets were a stroke of genius). The beef cheek in the main dish was as soft as jelly, but they added a satisfying crunch by frying the chickpeas until crispy. Oh my gosh! Its no wonder this unassuming restaurant inside a mall is packed before 6 oclock. The wine selection is also quite impressive. The owner seems to be a fan of European wines. Cheers!

$200 = a mediocre meal in Los Angeles. Should of went to Norms! Crudo was rotten, had to go to the bathroom to vomit (Yeast Infection Taste). Should of quit here, but continued on to the beef cheeks, which were meh. BranziNO!!! Mediocrity is celebrated way too much these days. The dead-end is here, so I am turning around and never returning. Similarly, when you go to a Korean restaurant and all you see is white people like the movie, GET OUT!!!

We had such an amazing experience here. Our server helped us pick out wines to go with our meals and the food was beyond any expectations we could have had. There was so much love in every dish. We started with the roasted eggplant small plate and their Zaatar fries, both were excellent. Main course we had the arugula pesto pasta dish and the seafood stew we literally savored every bite. The pesto was SO bright and the homemade pasta was top notch. The stew had intense depth and the different seafoods were perfectly cooked. For desert we had the Rose Trifle that was delicious. This is our new favorite restaurant and we can t wait to take people here! Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options!

Heavy, flavorful food. We shared the roasted cauliflower, which was topped with some nuts, dill, and pesto. I had the moussaka -- very heavy and creamy. Almost ate like a chili with cheese except with eggplant. My partner had the branzino, which was solid. The couscous was dense too. Adored our server. Only thing I didnt love was the outdoor seating, which was basically a tent in the parking lot.

I was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at Barsha, located in an obscure parking lot this hidden gem offers amazingly delicious Tunisian delights. We were greeted by the owner Adnen Marouani, who was so funny and kind. We decided to sit at their outdoor makeshift patio (made during covid, thankfully stuck around to seat more customers and of course makes them dog friendly). The dΓ©cor and restaurant itself are absolutely beautiful. The location is only a few blocks from the beach and guess what you don t have to look or pay for parking! I would suggest coming with a big group of friends and ordering a few items from each of the categories. Ordered Tunisian Bruschetta Tuna Conserva, chick pea mash, tomatoes, cucumbers, hardboiled egg. Roasted Eggplant Heirloom tomato, caramelized onion, balsamic, almond Stewed Chickpeas-Meshouia, feta, crusty bread Braised beef cheeks- Slow braised beef cheeks on creamy polenta served with arugula and crispy shallots Hot fudge (probably wrong name) Gluten free chocolate cake and Tunisian date, scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with out fudge. We wanted to thank the Chef so the owner brought his wife out. Chef/Co-owner Lenora was so fun to chat with. Can t wait to come back! UPDATED JAN 2023 VISIT The first time I visited I fell in love with the vibe and the food! It was a humble and intimate experience The owners, staff and chefs were more than accommodating. I decided to have my partners small birthday gathering here. We have some friends that live in Long Beach and wanted them to share the exact experience with us. We started at an outside table and unfortunately, it started to rain but that didn t stop the amazing food coming out of the kitchen; Chicken liver Pate Delightful! Came with pistachio and seasonal compote (grape or berry) very light in taste not overly seasoned. House Made Farmers Cheese Ahhhmazing! Roasted beets, heirloom tomatoes, caramelized grape and mint! Super fresh, one of my favs on the menu Tunisian Bruschetta Delicious! Tuna conserva, chickpea mash, cucumber, tomato, egg. I can eat this all day! La Gouletter Mussels- Heavenly! Tomatoes, preserved lemon, caper, pilsner broth sooo good with the crusty bread! Braised Beef Cheeks Divine! Polenta, arugula, crispy shallot, becarful this dish is addicting! Tunisian Fried Chicken (Only on Sundays) -Bussin! Tunisian spiced fried chicken with house made biscuits! I was in heaven! Moussaka Delectable! Eggplant stew, tabil bechamel, parm, olive oil, croutons. The eggplant and bechamel was damn good! Chickpea 3 ways Yumms! Chickpea balls, stew and puree for my Gluten Free fans!! And tried all 3 of their desserts! Honestly, it was amaze balls! Thank you Barsha for having us! Vegetarian options: YES Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free and Veg Parking: On site, tons of parking Kid-friendliness: offers kid menu Wheelchair accessibility: Yes they are wheelchair accessible

Enjoyable experience everytime we have come here for dinner. A laid back hometown restaurant with a high quality food and flavor. The food doesnt come with the traditional menu but a blend of Mediterranean and Tunisian cusine options. Giving it a unique menu and a very hospitable crew to make it an enjoyable evening. Then weekends have live music which is fun but loud if on the inside. Parking: The restaurant is in a strip mall so you can find plenty of parking in the evenings while most of the other establishments are closed.

This should no longer be a South Bay secret. Dont let the location throw you - the food is incredible from the eggplant, to the falafel sliders, to the incredibly tender beef cheek. Adnin is a delight. The food is lovely. The Hand of Fatima appetizer has hummus, harissa, pesto, tapenade and olives served with wedges of bread. The tapenade was especially good. Our soup was tomato bisque with a dab of cream on top, herbs and a bit of crunch. We had the small plate of roasted eggplant, and larger plates of tabil branzino (which is fish - I am allergic, but my husband says it was quite tasty) and lamb meatballs with large couscous (about the size of early peas) in mhansa, a tomato based gravy. Though ostensibly meant to be shared family style, we would have been better off getting more large plates. Still, I didnt leave hungry. Dessert was the rose trifle. The lezan mascarpone resembles rose infused whipped cream. The lemon in the poundcake was subtle. Bits of strawberry and blueberry were bursts of flavor. The Milbrandt Chardonnay was crisp and clean, pairing well with the savories and the sweets. Because of health concerns, we sat outside. The downside was that the chairs need more cushioning. The wood ones are hard on elderly backsides, and the metal ones are a bit narrow.

This is my first trip to Barsha, things are a little different of course due to COVID guidelines. But all in all great food, great experience and most importantly great ambiance under the circumstances. Adnen and all the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and make sure you re enjoying your visit with them. Would recommend to anyone! Great variety of foods, meats & non-meats. Drinks, beers and desserts. I will be coming back!

We had an amazing dining experience at Barsha! We brought friends here and they were so impressed. Everything was so flavorful! We ordered Mac and cheese and chicken nibbles for the kids and they had completely clean plates. We had the braised lamb cheeks and shrimp couscous. Both were outstanding! We sat next to two older ladies who were also dining for the first time and raving to us about their experience. Adnen and Lenora make everyone feel like family. The service was great and we can t wait to return. It was a full house on a Thursday night - that tells you something. They are making magic here. Wishing them much success and Barsha (abundance)!

This place is beyond - from the ambience to the DELICIOUS food to the staff! Owners Lenora and Adnen have created a really special gem in the heart of Hermosa Beach. They also have live music almost every night! You truly feel the Tunisian culture as soon as you set foot in here - grateful to BARSHA for setting the bar in the South Bay restaurant scene! Highly recommended - your taste buds will be forever grateful!
