You can park on the city parking right behind the restaurant and walk right into Baja Sharkeez from the back entrance. Maximum 3 hours for $6. Very convenient!! We sat outside and enjoyed people + dog watching while sipping our drinks. Happy Hour is a bargain. If you want a latte (they only have drip coffee) walk across the street and pick one from the coffee shops and bring it back. They didn’t mind us doing that. Pretty laid back, but reminded us of all the cameras. So security is tight. Had a wonderful afternoon.

So here is my review about this place.

Unfortunately, I can not make a proper review about this place, but I can make one on the customer service.

1- service: 1/10 out of my 18 years traveling around the world or more. This is the worst service customer I ever had. I went there, and the host thought that I was an idiot. And he explained me. It was a $5 charge for the Dodgers game and the UFC. I said no problem. But I believe in good tip ,good service. So, I took out a $20 bill. He said no. It's this ones and he was pointing me at the $5 bill. And told me that I had to give it to that girl with attitude. I go see the girl who is sitting down and talking with her friends. I gave it the 20 bucks. She said it's $5. I say, keep the change, No worries. She doesn't say anything to me and just says find a place, so I walk in, and there's absolutely no places. I come back to her and ask her. Excuse me, there's no place and she says. Yeah, so! What you want to do a refund? I said no I just want a place to sit. She said, "Well, it is what it is."
So I just left 🤷‍♂️ they didn't get back my money. But besides the money, it's more the attitude. I have over a million 500 people that view where I go. And it's the first time that i'm gonna recommend that if you're a tourist, do not come to this place. I repeat , if you're a tourist, do not come to this place.

For the manager, if you wanna know what date was this? It was the first game of the playoffs of the Dodgers against the San Diego Padres this year 2024.

The best bar I’ve ever been to. Located adjacent to the beautiful Hermosa Beach pier and the Pacific Ocean, you couldn’t ask for a better place to be.

The drinks are a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. The staff were all so cool, the clientele was a fun crowd and the setting was perfect. I highly recommend Baja Sharkeez to anyone looking for a fun night out in Hermosa Beach. What I liked most is that one of the staff members remembered me from the previous night and gave me a good welcome the next couple nights I was there. Big shot out to the awesome staff at Baja Sharkeez!

Super fun place for brunch on a Sunday morning. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was really good. We did the breakfast special with eggs, bacon, pancakes, hashbrowns, and mimosas. Came with chips and salsa too! Also, parking was very easy behind the restaurant in the morning. We arrived just before 10 am.

First off, the bar tenders are genuinely good people. Im visiting from out of state and my barkeep bullshitted with me for 20 minutes (on and off) about California and Oregon. Good dude. To be fair, its a hair slow on Sunday at 7:30pm but the Chargers game is on.. I asked whats the one thing I need to try on the menu and the Birria Crusty Queso Tacos were #1 the list according to my dude. These Tacos are the reason Im even writing this review. They are some of the best Ive ever had. These are a must and the Chile spice dipping sauce is hard not to drink by itself. Great job Baja Sharkeerz! I dont know when, but Ill be back!!

Understanding that we came on a game day so the restaurant was pretty busy, the guy at the bar that I ordered from acted like I was ruining his life for placing an order. Again, Im sure he was swamped but Ive been a server too and never treated someone like that. The worst part though was definitely the huge piece of PLASTIC that I found inside my fish tacos. I cant add a photo to this review but it looked like the cling wrap they didnt remove. Enchiladas were great tho Weve been here when it wasnt as busy, which I would recommend but they definitely cannot handle themselves when theres a full house.

Normally great when we come down from out of town but our server was awful and told us we needed to hurry because they are a college bar and it was getting close to 8:00 on a Tuesday evening. We were a table of 12 with adults and children. We will look elsewhere next trip!

Best Singles bars in America. Have logged many one night stands and other flings from here. Great place and well policed area no bullshit. Many USC students and hot latians from burbs of Torrance etc. Girls come here to hook up with rich godo lookin guys. I have yet to see a better singles scene in AMerica. I love the drinks from this place but yesterday I went out to get some drinks with a friend services was so bad it look like they didn t wanna serve us we literally waited for 10 mins and we called the guy and he just give us a look and walk away I was getting mad so I went and sit in front of the bartender register and finally serve us a drink but with an attitude, as a bartender and waitress I know the pressure and customer services is sad. Was attacked at random by a drunk patron and their bouncer ended up grabbing me by my neck and tossing me out for thinking we were fighting. I was punched at random in the crowd of people. I left with bruises on my neck and no chance to have a word in with what happened. Food is trash. Ambience and service is trash. Never returned since, plenty or places that would handle situations like that in a better way.

Rude bartender. Came today when they opened and he told us we had to order at the bar when we sat inside and we had to grab our drinks from the bar but at the the same he was bringing drinks out to the people on the patio. You couldn t walk 5 steps to bring us drinks? Then another group came that sat inside as well, he went up and gave them menus when he told us to grab ours. He served them like you normally would. Super rude. Also gave us a dirty glass of sprite. One of the servers even laughed and said probably chapstick on the glass. Disgusting. Never coming back when I have been coming for years.

Unfortunately, this was perhaps the most disgusting burrito Ive ever encountered. Id suggest opting for something from Taco Bell. My partners burger was served cold, as were the fries and dry Hawaiian roll. While the service and the view were commendable, the quality of the food was undeniably lacking.

If I could leave a review without any stars I would. We stopped in for a late lunch just before 4pm on new years day. It was our last day of our holiday and the experience here left me beyond frustrated and upset. Initially things went ok. Our waitress showed up within 10 minutes and took our full order. Hubbys margarita came out to the table less than 10 minutes later. At 20 minutes I reminded her I was waiting on a coke. At 45 mins we began wondering where our food was as tables around us who sat after us were getting food. At an hour I asked our waitress (this was when we saw her again) about the food order. She grabbed her manager who told us they had lots of fajita orders slowing things down. Our waitress and I explained we had been waiting over an hour and tables around us were being served ahead of us and he was incredibly rude to me saying we just had to wait. He also told the waitress off in front of us before walking off. I proceeded to ask another waiter or manager 15 minutes later (this guy was the only redeeming feature of our visit) who was able to investigate and found our order had been misplaced. He proceeded to rush it through even though we said we didnt want it and just wanted to leave. Barely 10 minutes later we had a carryout bag and our food and drinks were comped. Sadly by this time 2 hours had passed and all the local shops were closed and sunset was finished. We sat in the car and the food was way below average. This was supposed to be a small snack/late lunch and with how much time passed it also ruined our dinner plans and completely wrecked the last night we had here in Calyon holiday.

Understaffed, had to order food from the bar and pick it up from the bar yet they seem to still expect a tip for basically doing nothing. $20 for a margarita served in a small plastic cup. There are many other great spots in the same neighborhood I d recommend before this place. But it is worth a try. They have an extensive menu which can be good or bad The apps we ordered were slightly above average in taste; nothing really special about them to highlight. They did get our order wrong, but that wasn t a huge deal (ordered grilled not fried). The bigger problem was how slow the wait staff was - long wait times for menus and drinks we were drinking beer so nothing that required muddling that may have led to long wait times. From the looks of it- bellying up at the bar seemed like the better and faster route. Also no itemized receipt with the bill, I know that can bug people- again not a deal breaker for me. Lastly, the atmosphere is solid with a great selection of TVs for sports, it s not too loud, lots of seating, and it s comfortable which helped because of the slow service.

Great location. Choose outdoor booths or inside seating. Lots of tvs showing various sports from surfing to pro ball games. Fun crowd. Great Mexican food, and drinks. Great for groups. Parking: Parking is found in metered lot directly behind restaurant, at parking meters on the surrounding streets or a nearby parking structure. Always check posted street signs for any restrictions. Some areas are one hour only, or say residential permits required.

Definitely more a bar than a restaurant. Great place to watch a game. Typical decent bar food. Complimentary chips/salsa. Only criticism is sell 32oz beer until 7pm. So waiting on limited bar staff for a refill is frustrating. Asked why local law? Told IDk just our rules.

We ate on a Monday night in late August. They definitely did not have enough wait staff. The waiter was extremely inattentive and made 0 eye contact, literally looked everywhere but our faces, we ordered cocktails ( he never brought them) never gave us chips and salsa. We had to ask the person who brought our food to bring them. The food was good, the burritos were small and the amount of rice and beans we paid extra for was laughably small but tasty. The next night we actually returned since out hotel was so close and it was Tuesday so they had deals. This time we had a female waitress and she was friendly but very busy because once again she had too many tables to manage. But she brought us chips and salsa( that s how I found out we should have received some the night before). The food was again tasty and the Tuesday night prices were more in line with the worth.

This place is overrated Service is slow and unprofessional, they care about upselling more and more drinks in plastic cups only . Food came out with delays and servers were disorganized. Plastic utensils are used here and we got a spoon to eat their tostada salad which was awful btw. Black beans are mushy paste topped with tiny amount of protein and even less cabbage, olives were not chopped but thrown in whole. Fajitas had unpleasantly thick cuts of unseasoned meat. Shrimp tacos had one or two pieces of actual shrimp in it and cabbage with no sauce or any flavor whatsoever. Not to fresh salsa is brought to the table in tiny to go plastic containers as well.

Visited this restaurant for the first time. The atmosphere is very nice! Super close to the hermosa beach pier. The service was great, and the food is delicious! The wings we ordered were very crispy and the wing sauces had a great flavor. We also got the birria quesadilla 10/10, very good flavor! The drinks were also great, we got the shark attack and a michelada.

Food was okay but most importantly the service was horrible. The food took forever. Waiting for our orders to be taken took forever. The waiters dont wear name tags but the lady with the brown and purple hair was extremely disrespectful. She was rolling her eyes and making faces the entire time and we were being polite regardless. She really did not want to be there and it made the entire experience bad. After we finished eating we probably waited another 40 minutes for the bill to arrive then get change back. She was walking around taking orders just carrying our bill around. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

My man ordered food and said wow how inexpensive at $18. I said my burrito was at least $14. So he went back up to double check the order. Bartender said its all in. Good 30+ minutes goes by and they deliver his sliders to the wrong table. We were able to get it to our table and said there was a burrito as well to which dude was confused. Bartender never put it in. My bad Ill put a rush on it another 30 minutes later this weak burrito came out. Would not reccomend.

So, apparently this is a self-service restaurant LOL!! We didnt know that we were supposed to order at the bar; we sat for half an hour waiting for some attention. No one said Hi, there are chips and salsa in the back, help yourself, Welcome to Baja Sharkeez..., or even the most valuable information: Order at the bar, someone will bring you your food. Some folks came in after us and were given the ordering instructions; we had to assume to order at the bar as no one else paid attention to us. [NOTE: I am not the same ethnicity as those who were given ordering instructions. So I guess its pick-and-choose.] The food was good...cool though (as in not hot nor warm). I think if it had been served hot, it wouldve been great!! The workers at Baja Sharkeez leave a lot to be desired. I dont think any of the staff that worked the day I visited really appreciated the mere fact they were working (had a job), nor did any hide any personal issues marinating while at work!! My 2-star rating is for the overall experience.

Well, we ll never know how it is. Just now the customer service sucked right out the gate. We walked in and sat down. The server walked by, noticed we were there and pretended she didn t see us. She was not interested in helping us. We were there 10 min and nobody acknowledged us.

The blackened shrimp street taco and fried fish street taco were amazing. But the best part was the free chips and salsa. Addicting. Service was really great too. Next time, I would get the birria quesadilla to fry.

As others have stated before me this place has awful service. Bartenders were alright but the door guy and the hostess were truly atrocious. Drinks were weak and the food was salty, no flavor. Won t be returning.

The food is good and portions are great and we got our food quick! It s a seat yourself setup and you order both your food and drinks at the bar. The drinks are really good! I got the spicy cucumber margarita. So bomb. It was hard finding a table because a lot of them were not cleaned up. We asked a worker there and he literally ignored us after we each took turns saying excuse me. My friend had to scream EXCUSE ME! He looked so annoyed when we asked if we can get our table cleaned. The workers could have a better attitude. The place gets very crowded and they get annoyed and roll their eyes if you re in their way and are very dismissive when you try to ask a question. But whatever. Maybe I went on a bad day but I ll definitely go again and update my review.

Great place to have some tacos and burritos. Chips and salsa. Tasty drinks. Large menu. Lots of heat lamps and in-table fireplace warmers. Excellent outdoor seating with great views of the beach, pier and people watching.

Giving a 4 start rating, but just barely, and mostly because of the service. The food is good and the vibe is chill and cool. But, the service depends sooo much on who you have as a server. Most of them are friendly but its the level of attention that really almost make me giving a 3 star. Its often very disorganized and people hardly look after you. 3rd time now that my order was wrong or incomplete and I think because their are always rushing. I think they must spend more time with all customers and not just with the friends or the ones they know. Again, the food is good and the vibe is cool, and thats the 4th star, not the service. PS: been here several times so this is not just a one-moment observation !

The bouncers are on a power trip and accused my sober friend of 12 years of being drunk and would not let her in. She is of Latina descent and majority of people were white. She stood up for herself and they decided she was not allowed to enter. With no other excuse but that they thought she was too drunk to enter the facility. It is really disheartening to see that racism still runs rampant in such a progressive area as Hermosa beach. Im happy my friend stood up for herself but really disappointed at the way the door people handled the situation. Again, thats exactly what they are. Door people. They felt the need to disregard good paying customers who were willing to pay bottle service for a hole in the wall because of their discrimination.

Fun spot in Hermosa Beach with good food, the dishes tend to be big so you will leave full. Id recommend the quesadilla or a burrito but avoid the taquitos.

Baja Sharkeez was recommended to us by some of my dads colleagues who work in flight airlines and therefore very frequently visit the area. This is by far one of their favorite places and they praised it a lot - and I will say that it lived up to its name. It is located quite centrally, very cheap (especially on tuesdays when you get 1 big taco for only 2$), and furthermore the food was great It is naturally no gourmet experience, but for what you expect of such a restaurant then it was incredible, both the food and the massive drinks that they served the day we were there. They also had a wide selection of beers, both IPAs and mexican beers, so there is surely something for everyone Will definitely visit again if I ever fly with my dad to LA again ! So thank you for a great late lunch / dinner

When for a late lunch on a Saturday, it was pretty packed as Im sure the weekend stays! Margaritas are good here, as well as chips and salsa! The guacamole is over priced because it is served in a big bowl stacked with lettuce leafs, then maybe three tablespoons of actual guacamole! We ordered the baja fish tacos and the chicken fajitas, both filling and good!
