Vegetarian. Outdoor eating or to go. Great coffee and desserts and you must try the sprouted hummus. If you want to have their pick and choose bar of salads, get there before noon. Frequently when I get there after my exercise class at 12:15 they are out of my favorites. Dietary restrictions: Salads in the bar are premade. You may be able to customize if you order off of the menu Kid-friendliness: If your kid eats vegetables Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

> asks for an egg sandwich that doesn t have super runny eggs so it doesn t explode all over me > gets an egg sandwich literally sitting in a soup of its egg juices, before I even try to take a bite A bit frustrated because I just wanted something easy to eat on break, and didn t have time to ask for it to be remade. Sandwich was completely soaked on the bottom, so I got egg all over my hands, face, etc. Not possible to eat this with a fork and knife due to the thick bagel, so I just had to get dirty. I can admit it tasted good, but it was an unpleasant experience. :/ Place looks nice and I d give it another chance, but really disappointed with my first experience.

I am deeply disturbed and disgusted by my recent experience with a chef helper at a restaurant. This individual was extremely unprofessional and went to the extent of putting BOOGERS in my food because I had asked twice for my order to be brought to me. I was able to obtain his name from a co-worker who informed me that this behavior is something he does on a regular basis. It is incredibly disheartening because I used to love this place and have been a loyal customer. However, I have decided not to share the video evidence of this incident on my TikTok, as it would not only ruin the business owners reputation but also negatively impact the innocent co-workers. Rest assured, I have plenty of evidence to support my claims. It is truly shocking and disturbing to witness someone intentionally contaminating food in such a repulsive manner. When I confronted the chef helper about his actions, he laughed at me and even threatened to ruin me and my vehicle by using my name and license plates. I have waited several months before posting this review, hoping that the situation would be addressed internally. However, since no action has been taken, I feel it is necessary to share my experience with others. It is important for potential customers to be aware of the unhygienic practices and disrespectful behavior exhibited by this chef helper. I sincerely hope that the restaurant management takes this matter seriously and addresses it appropriately. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of an otherwise beloved establishment.

It s official, zinc has died:/ no more fresh baked muffins/goods in the morning .the cafe is now a chain and has baked goods brought in by another cheap mass produced bakery equivalent of going to Starbucks. So sad because zinc was once the heart of Laguna beach and now it s just another urths/panera sold out cafe. The new owners should change the name bc what I just experienced was NOT zinc cafe. RIP Zinc :/ welcome to chain Laguna beach

Zinc is a MUST if you enjoy food and dining out! It s Hands down one of the very best vegetarian spots in all of Orange County! In fact, as a non-vegetarian myself, I still prefer Zinc s burger and their life changing rubenesqe over the meat version any day! Everything is organic, mostly locally grown, made fresh daily and you will feel and taste the difference in the high quality food and incredible service!!! Plus the general location and ambiance of Zinc is simply perfect! If I could rate Zinc with 10 stars, I would! Enjoy! Vegetarian options: Zinc offers an entirely vegetarian menu and the selection and quality are so incredible that You will never miss meat, or possibly want to eat it again..and I m speaking as a meat eater the way that Zinc melds true authentic flavor with healthy and organic veggies and ingredients is something that can only be experienced in person! You will not be disappointed!! Parking: Because of Zinc s close proximity to Laguna s main beach , parking can be tricky at times. However, there is metered parking lining both sides of the street directly in front of Zinc as well as several parking lots that usually have available spots for a fee, ranging anywhere from $10-20. Alternatively, you can park at one of the free or inexpensive lots along Laguna Canyon and take the free trolley which drops off right behind the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Zinc is very kid and dog friendly!!

Dropped in on a Saturday night now that they are open for dinner and had a perfectly wonderful time. The young couple playing music set a great vibe for our meal - my wife had the spinach lasagna with marinara sauce - which added just the right amount of tartness to a vegetarian dish that can (sorry to say) be rather bland without it. Cocktails, coffee and dessert made for a relaxing evening - we spent over 2 hours and never once felt rushed. The staff was a perfect blend of service - not too many interruptions but always around when something was needed. Really enjoyed the outdoor seating + and have I mentioned the live music was a nice touch!

Cute cafe in Laguna with outdoor seating. Service was quick and seating was available around 10:00AM on a Sunday. Parking was easy to find on the street at that time as well. Servers were helpful and quick so extra points for that. The food was not that great though which is unfortunate. I do like the atmosphere and will come back for more of the middle eastern type dishes - maybe that is what they specialize in. Had the Margherita pizza and it was overcooked, the crust was super hard and not nearly enough mozzarella. More tomato sauce than mozzarella. I do enjoy a nice thin crust pizza but this crust, although thin, was almost rock hard, more like a tough unleavened cracker than thin crust pizza. I felt maybe it was overcooked but the bottom of the pizza was still white. So maybe it was cooked too long at too low of a temperature? The beet and arugula salad was alright. The only thing that stood out was the bread in the salad - that was great. A great, crunchy crust with perfect crumb. Very tasty bread so good choice on the bakery that they use or if they bake it in house very good. The dressing on the salad though was not very tasty so I would not get this again. Hopefully I just ordered the wrong things. Will try the other more middle eastern type dishes next time I come and may update the review if things are better.

Seemed high pressure to read menu and quickly decide what to order while standing at cashier area. 3. The lasagne was crusted hard on top due to age since original baking. 4. Some salad greens were beyond their prime....green slimy on their edges. Not much care nor additions to the salad. 5. Staff was nice. 6. The patio furniture seemed past its prime. 7. Had to fetch our own water. 8. Overall, nothing to write home about. 9. Seemed pricey for what you ended up with. 10. Cool musical band was setting up as we left.

I dont know why this is the first time Ive reviewed Zinc Cafe & Market...as I have been enjoying their incredibly delicious foods and perfectly brewed coffees and teas for over a year now! Well today that changes. And what better meal to review than a Wednesday Brunch (of sorts) when theres no lineups nor long waits?!? I took 2 Deviled Eggs a la carte, just to take the edge off of my Low Bloodsugar, which always delight me. *(the eggs, not low bloodsugar) The Belgian Waffles are the lightest, most buttery and still crispy I have ever had...better than even I can make at home... I love quiche, and this one is just alright, nothing to write home about. Made fresh, with fresh ingredients ...though perhaps semi lacking in flavor. But what do I know; Im a smoker. She enjoyed my side greens salad, with black bean chili and toasted garlic bun. Everything, from the lack of waiting time, to friendliness as well as efficiency of service was great today. Indeed. What I liked the MOST, however was that my Mocha came out FIRST, before our meals, allowing me time to enjoy the first fresh sips as well as throughout my meal. That was Heaven to me and unfortunately seems like something my other *favorite brunch Café seems to have lost the ability to do. Zinc Cafe & Market is Always Spot On.

We are visiting from Palm Springs on 08/02/2023; I was last here in 05/2021. My partner & I eat healthy and vegetarian. Something BAD is happening here. We ordered a Quiche and Vegan Reuben for lunch with a can of Coke & a Cup of Coffee. We added an 18% tip when paying for lunch...A Mistake! None of the tables were wiped down. The coffee was warm and bitter, I walked back to the checkout and asked for a fresh cup. The PALE 3 radius Quiche for $8.00 was the only thing on a 9 plate! The Vegan Reuben with side salad $14.00 was nicely presented, but how could I enjoy this sandwich while looking at that 3 radius Quiche no more that 3/4 high on my partners Bare 9 plate? I would be EMBARASED if I set this plate in front of a guest who paid $33.00 for this lunch. Times must be HARD in Laguna Beach! No one bothered to check on our table...they must have been too busy counting the cash for the day! Vegetarian options: Something is Terribly wrong!

Food was not great. Avocado Toast had about half a cup of cold butter on each slice under the avocado, I thought it was cheese at first but then realized what I was eating, it was gross and not good. Eggs were on the far side of over salted on the fried egg sandwich. The kid had the Belgian waffle, which was good but not something I would go out of my way for. Meal was about $60, over priced for the quality. Presentation looks like the photos, but taste was not good. This is the type of restaurant that is designed to get people in and out quickly with while squeezing the most they can out of the food. Again, skip this place- there are way better options nearby.

Nice location with a nice, comfortable terrace, approximately 400 m above the beach and coast. Definitely highly recommended; even for people like me who rarely eat anything without meat products.
