Menu looks amazing but food quality and service left us very disappointed. Our coffee drinks still hadn t arrived by the time we were almost finished with our meal. Pastry never arrived and when I had to go up to the counter to remind them, it ended up being a really dry croissant. The poached eggs were extremely runny and clear, hardly opaque. Adding to the server confusion on orders is that they are handing out duplicate order numbers so they kept trying to deliver other orders to our table. Great atmosphere outside but we won t be back. Not worth the elevated prices.

This is a combo coffee and sandwich shop..and then some! Popular place. I had the mushroom pizza, which was very good. The desserts looks amazing, but didnt try any. Lots of seating, much of it outside. There seemed to be plenty of heat lamps to make everyone comfortable.

Went on a Sunday and it was super crowded. The queue was all the way out to the near traffic light. We got our food and kept on waiting on our drinks. Checked in with the barista 3 times and kept being told five minutes. We finished our food and still no drinks. We needed to leave so we spoke to a senior staff member and got our drinks immediately. Unfortunately, coffee wasnt hot and the ice drinks looked like they were ready a while ago. The food was delicious though.

I recently visited Urth Caffé in Laguna Beach and had a mixed experience. While the food was decent nothing exceptional it did come out quickly, which was a plus. That said, I found the prices to be a bit steep for the quality offered. The real issue, however, was with the coffee. I ordered a standard latte during a non-peak time when the café wasn t particularly busy, but it still took a staggering 40 minutes to arrive. To make matters worse, when it finally did, it was cold. When I pointed this out, the staff s solution was to MICROWAVE it rather than making a fresh one. Needless to say, this ruined what should have been an $8 overpriced late. It s worth noting that another lady came behind me with the same issue. Overall, while the location has a nice ambiance and the food is serviceable, the slow service and the disappointing coffee experience made the visit frustrating. I expected better, especially given the premium pricing.

We went to Urth because every time we go to Laguna Beach we like going here for breakfast. This time though it was very disappointing. They didn t have pumpkin dough so we ordered the plain waffle. It came just like dad, a waffle with nothing else other than a dish with syrup. I felt $11 was too much for a simple waffle. Then, they forgot the avocado toast. Everyone had eaten and the avocado toast never came. We had to reorder it and pay for it because apparently they never charged us for it. It was probably and off day for them, but it was very expensive for mediocre food. I m not going back.

Urth Caffé offers excellent, high-quality organic coffee that stands out for its rich flavor and unique blends. However, the customer service experience can sometimes fall short, as the staffs attentiveness and friendliness dont always match the quality of the coffee.

Very very disappointing!!!! The potatoe and sausage omelette with side salad( only greens out of Costco box) was not worth the price and wait. It was mediocre!!! Our coffee mugs exterior were filthy. While waiting for our food our next table waiting to be cleaned were a mess with at least 12 pigeons nibbling on left overs. It was a disgusting scene. I reached out to their contact us customer relation and just got an email if I have a photo?! Unbelievable!!! Will NEVER go again. There are many little far better restaurants in Laguna Beach. Stay away.

I recently visited Urth Cafe, and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I ordered a coffee, and while it was delicious and expertly brewed, I found it a bit too sweet for my taste. If you enjoy sweeter beverages, you ll likely love it! For food, I tried the smoked salmon pizza, and it did not disappoint. The combination of flavors was delightful, and the smoked salmon added a nice touch to the dish. Overall, Urth Cafe is a great spot for coffee enthusiasts and those looking for a tasty bite. I would definitely recommend it, though I d suggest asking for less sweetness in your coffee if that s your preference. I look forward to returning to try more of their menu!

In general, I love Urth cafés. HOWEVER, the management at this one? Not so much. Actually, its terrible. I only ordered cappuccino. My wife was completely done, and I still hadnt received my order. I asked the manager why it was so slow. Her answer was we only have one barista. When I mentioned my question is why are you so slow in comparison to all of the other Urth cafés that I go to? There was no answer from her. Its not my problem that they dont have enough on hand. Hire more, schedule more. Figure it out. Also, the city was jack hammering the street right outside the building. No one could hear their conversations. The manager had all the doors open. The customers would get out of their seats and shut the doors and she would go around opening them. The customers coming in would shut the doors. She went around and opened them. Seriously what on earth is the managements problem. Who cares what makes their customers happy and comfortable! Two things are certain: I will continue going to the Urth cafés in Pasadena, on Melrose in West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. The second is I will never go back to the location in Laguna.

This place offers the most disappointing gluten free experience I can at this moment ever remember ever had. The selection of items that is free from gluten containing ingredients is fantastic. You look at the menu, and you realize you might be able to have things you haven t tried in ages. Then at the counter you re handed a waiver of liability, strongly discouraged from trying any gluten free food, and refused any information about the actual efforts made to keep gluten free ingredients gluten free. I understand that it s hard to keep a gluten free kitchen. I understand not wanting to be sued, but why refuse to provide any information about the gluten free practices you keep in the kitchen? I rather suspect those practices are in fact quite good! After all, they have many excellent looking dishes they clearly put thought into. Why not let customers know what precautions you take, how they might fail, so they can make an informed decision rather than stonewall, refusing to give up helpful information. I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance is cute even if outlets are scarce, and I haven t felt so excited at the prospect of trying gluten free versions of foods celiacs has denied me in ages. But in the reasonable attempt to protect themselves from personal injury liability they unreasonably denied me information I need to make an informed decision, so at this point I d need a promise to improve their communication and, honestly, a free meal as apology before I gave this place another chance. Dietary restrictions: Possibly excellent, but they ll never be brave enough to tell you. Parking: It was ample Kid-friendliness: Great ambiance Wheelchair accessibility: Seems pretty difficult

She had no response. In addition there was jack hammering going on outside. The customers kept closing the doors to the inside because it was so loud. The manager kept opening the doors. A Masterclass in Waiting: My Urth Caffé Experience I have a theory: Urth Caffé has a secret mission to teach customers the fine art of patience. Every time my friends and I walk into this place, I feel like I m entering a café-themed version of Survivor, where only the truly strong (and very, very patient) will make it through the meal. First, they hand you one of those buzzers. Oh, the hope you feel when they give you that little device It ll be just a few minutes, you think. Spoiler alert: It won t. I don t know what happens in the kitchen, but it seems like they re personally growing the organic lettuce and squeezing the juice out of every avocado by hand. After about 10 minutes, the panic starts to set in. Did they lose my order? Is my food stuck in a time vortex? Are they on a break or maybe a meditation retreat? I start questioning my life decisions at this point. Then comes the waiting for drinks. In most places, drinks are quick, right? Not here. If you want an iced coffee, expect that they re probably growing the coffee beans in the back garden. My friends and I just sit there staring at each other, pretending we re not thirsty, playing a silent game of Who will crack first and go ask where the drinks are? It usually takes around 20 minutes for anything to show up. I ve considered bringing a deck of cards or maybe a board game next time, just to pass the time. By the time your order finally arrives, it feels like you ve completed a marathon hungry, thirsty, and emotionally drained. It s almost like a victory when you see the server approaching, but there s also a bit of fear that maybe, just maybe, they ll pass your table and the wait will continue. And yet, I keep coming back. Why? Maybe it s because I secretly enjoy the challenge. Maybe it s because the food, when it finally arrives, is actually pretty good. Or maybe, just maybe, it s because I ve invested so much time waiting here that I feel like I deserve a medal by the end of it. In summary, if you want to test your patience and really bond with your friends over shared suffering (and delicious food you ll have to wait forever for), Urth Caffé is the place for you. Just don t make any plans for the rest of your day trust me, you ll need the time.

Have been coming on and off to this place for years, unfortunately things have definitely slipped for the worst. The staff are very friendly so no fove star no complaints about the people directly working there. The issue is process and wait times have become absurd simply because ordering is very slow, even with two cashiers. Especially during busy lunch hours, better forget trying to stop in for a quick lunch break that will not happen here. Once you do get up to order often they are out of this or that and the juice or smoothie bar will be an additional 20min wait+ often times. Staff is very segmented which is inefficient. They have one guy that makes the coffee drinks one guy that makes the juices you cannot run a business that has a lot of traffic this way. Rather than train the bussers or other server staff to assist in making drinks, they make customers wait an extra 10-20min for their order which delays everyone behind them. Management needs to address several things including the online ordering process given the size of the menu. Location is very nice and ideal for tourists and visitors, but moving on to seating, its a great location with the most uncomfortable outdoor seating in the area. Nothing screams get up and leave like a hard metal patio chair with rivets pushing on your behind at every square inch. Not sure who thought that this was an acceptable seating option, it is not. Some of the tables outside are just a little small to fit multiple plates and the umbrellas the last few times are extremely dirty from the pigeon s and birds, it seems in need of some thorough power washing or cleaning more often. Overall very disappointed in where things are today considering the potential of this place.

The service is not the best. Urth Cafe takes for ever to bring your latte. I like to drink my latte while I am eating not when I am done with my food. I found out today that they only give one coffee refill; i was very disappointed since my husband needed to refills. I ordered two different omelettes and they were below average. The taste was very bland. I paid 51.00 plus tip but I was not happy with the taste or the service. The only nice thing about this place is eating in the patio.

The crew is friendly and helpful. The service is fast. I entered the restaurant for breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday and stood in line to wait about 25 minutes. First, check at the cashier, then go to choose a table. Order almond croissant and Italian omelette. The food is delicious.

This is such a beautiful building located in the circle of Orange next to the Starbucks bldg. You don t realize how big it is until you walk inside, it s off seating. They have a great selection of foods and pastries. Check for their specials too. Service was good ands food came quickly. There was a big line but it moved really fast. Works definitely go again.

I initially thought Urth Caffe was unique to Laguna Beach, but it turns out there are several locations in Southern California. Known for its appealing aesthetics and appetizing menu, Urth Caffe has become quite popular since opening. This European-style cafe offers exquisite desserts in an aesthetic atmosphere, making it a must-visit while in L.A. Unfortunately, we had already eaten lunch before arriving, so we just had coffee and dessert. I ordered a Spanish Latte and Pistachio Tiramisu. Both were absolutely delicious, although the Spanish Latte was a bit too sweet for me. Watching other peoples meals, the presentation alone made my mouth water. Ill definitely be back next time to try more of their menu. Parking: It wasn t easy to find the parking space. If you walk about 0.5 miles north of the restaurant, you may be able to find the street parking in the residential area. The paid street parking is usually full during peak hours.

Pastries tasted store bought. There were four of us and we reached ordered something different to try and each item was disappointing. Breakfast itself was okay. The coffee was good. Serving staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great; you can see the beach from the patio. There are better options in Laguna Beach.

Pretty amateur service. Clearing tables but not actually cleaning or wiping them. Completely missing part of the order. The setting is nice, and the portion of the order we did get was good, though.

Delicious food, good service (quick delivery of the food to the table even though its crowded). Parking is a little hard to find and you have to stand in line for 15 to 20 minutes to order your food. But once you order it you get it quickly. We didnt order coffee because they said it would take 30 minutes to get a cappuccino!!!

Location is great espresso is strong! Expensive (expected), perking difficult, and always busy a line around brunch/breakfast on weekends; plan for these two things when you decide to come here. I m not a tourist so these things don t bother me. However today I ordered avocado toast, which I paid $6 extra for an egg and fried pancetta to be added and the pancetta was just overcooked bacon. Our coffees came out late. Also there was an employee just sitting there on their break with their phone on speaker loudly talking next to us the entire time.

As long as you are willing to wait this is a great place. The pancakes are the best in the world. Be aware that the drinks often come out 10+ minutes after your food. Its nice to be able to sit where youd like. The food is healthy and natural. Parking is hard to find close by. Youre better off parking on Cliff somewhere and walking to the restaurant
