Lovely Turkish Breakfast for 2 to share . Service was great and food was too. I think the my definitely charge too much for a little side of yogurt the size of the palm of your hand and should tell you. It came to a $12 charge almost a whole meal and the sides were tiny.

They should definitely let you know otherwise everything else was great.

GG’s is amazing! I have celiac disease and ate here all week. The food was homemade, fresh, and tasty. I also appreciated how the staff helped me customize my meals based on other foods I was avoiding due to being on the Autoimmune Protocol Diet. The staff recognized us and were eager to recommend new things for us to try. My husband has no dietary restrictions and agreed that GG’s was the best in Laguna. Francesca told me on the first day that they have been catering to special dietary restrictions for over a decade. They also have a big “Celiac Restaurant” sign on the patio facing the road.
(fish & chips, ravioli, and bolognese were my husband’s, they are not celiac safe but GG’s may have GF pasta available.) Thank you, GGs. We’ll be back!

The people there are really great. Our friends have food allergies, and they customized everything that was ordered. They even have us 2 types of dolmas to try. The eggplant dolmas are excellent. Everything was delicious.

It was like eating in someone's home. It was really relaxed and we had a wonderful conversation with the owner, who is a wonderful person.

This place was pretty good. Nice quaint little place, not a lot of room though, really cramming people in there. Service was good. I think they're nice people, it might be a personality thing, but they seemed a little less friendly then I would expect from the service industry. No refills on any drinks offered, didn't get a chance to ask for extras, seemed annoyed when making changes. All that is extra money for them so it should be welcomed add ons. I'm not sure I'd return, so not I'd recommend this place either. Kind of expensive for the whole feel of it.

Horrible, horrible. Under the ADA, restaurant owners must legally allow service animals into their establishments. This means that you cannot refuse entry to a person with a service dog based on your own personal beliefs or your concerns for health and food safety rules. This restaurant refused my beautiful service animal with the most arrogant attitude. Im reporting this restaurant.

I took my guest there, and they kept disturbing our conversation and clearing our table while we were eating. They brought our check, and when I told the waiter that I wanted to order more, the manager said, This is America; we bring the check without asking. This made no sense, and I felt very disrespected and insulted by their attitude towards me and my guest.

The manager was incredibly rude to us - treating us like second class citizens because we weren t ordering food. Had ordered cocktails with my significant other and was told we had to leave the dining area if we weren t grabbing food. Sure, that s fine, but then we let them know that we were waiting on two others to join us for cocktails and maybe some appetizers. The same man then refused to let us order another round of drinks and share them with our friends unless we ate there. There was absolutely no line whatsoever, an empty bar, plenty of seating to go around. I ve never felt so disrespected as a paying customer. I m sure the food is great, the drinks were pretty good - but I ll never step foot in this place again. The manager was snippy with us, pushy, and just downright disrespectful - I ve had better service at McDonald s.

GG s Bistro is a rare gem, offering excellent food in a tourist town. I visited today and absolutely loved it! Just a block away from the tourist traps, GG s features a clean, spacious new outdoor patio and a nicely decorated indoor dining room. The service is very pleasant; they even offered me a taste of Turkish Raki and gave great advice. I recommend the Meze Platter, and I especially enjoyed the blackened salmon sandwich I had for lunch.

2/5 stars** Disappointing experience at GG s Bistro ! Food was good, but service and billing were a letdown. Server misled us about a dish being suitable for two people, and we were charged a party fee for a group of four adults and two children(5-7 years old) ! To top it off, we were double-charged for one of the meals. Not impressed with the communication and billing practices. Hope they improve their service to match the quality of their food. Reply : Attached plate with the price showing $39! I ve been charged $78 for this plate!! Can you tell me why??? Check your receipts 5/27/2024 around 6:30 pm. Turned away by the staff at 7:15 PM because the location closed at 7:30PM, despite their website saying it closed at 8:00PM. On Google the location management also confirmed the 8:00PM closing time within the last seven days. Good with going by whatever time it closes, but please put the correct time.

If you re willing to walk just a block up from the tourist traps, GG s offers a clean and spacious new outdoor patio, as well as a nicely decorated indoor dining room. Service is very pleasant. I ordered the Iskandar kabab The food was delicious but it was less than warm which tells me two things. The food is not cooked on demand and second why the hell would you serve me less than warm almost cold food? So far as my first experience at this restaurant Im not impressed but in the coming months Ill give them another chance and see if they get their act together. Service was excellent.

The Turkish breakfast on Sundays is excellent! Very authentic and delicious. Looking forward to coming back! Parking: Shared garage valet for all the restaurants and shops in building. Restaurants offer validation but there is still a fee.

Many thanks to Francesca and the staff at GGs for a wonderful family dinner for 21 people on the night before our wedding! We made a reservation online in advance with help from Francesca over email. The food, atmosphere, and service was outstanding. They had a separate gluten-free menu for my wife who has celiac disease and also had vegan options for my parents. It was great to have a place to go that could make these dietary accomodations and still deliver delicious food to everyones tastes. Thank you, and well be back next time were in Laguna Beach!

Title: Mixed Experience - Delicious Food, Unpleasant Checkout Just tried out this place for breakfast and the food was seriously tasty! Loved the breakfast spread. However, there were a couple of things that didnt sit well with us. First off, they charged 50 cents for hot water. I mean, really? That feels pretty cheap for a restaurant in California. But what bothered us even more was the checkout situation. The server was standing right there while we paid, and it honestly made things a bit uncomfortable. Its like we were being watched, and thats not the kind of experience you want when youre settling the bill. So, while the food was great, the extra charges and the checkout vibe left us a bit disappointed. Hope they can work on these aspects because the potential is definitely there!

This spot was great when I visited. Patio friendly for dogs. I went there 3 times during the week and got the spaghetti bolognese which was bomb. By far the best I ever had. Will definitely stop in again if I decide to go visit Laguna.

The sultans Kabob is a must. It had a variety of different kabobs, lamb chops, beef and chicken. The hummus was chunky and homemade and pita bread was fresh, and the grilled chicken was tender and flavorful. The baklava dessert was heavenly. The staff provided attentive service, and the ocean breeze was refreshing. Highly recommend!

Came here around 4 on a Sunday, was decently full with 1 or two tables open. Great ambiance and vibes, nice view of the street and the other sights of Laguna, food was delicious. I had the Fettuccine Chicken and tasted the Pesto Shrimp pastas, which were amazing, but the chicken for the former was a bit too burnt, seems like it may have been seared for too long. Other than that the time here was quite good and filling, and I plan on swinging by here again. Parking: It s packed, very hard to find parking whether it be free or paid

Laguna can be a hit or BIG miss to find a restaurant that has a table and food that fits a variety of peoples tastes. We just happened by this nice patio-based cafe, and they had a great menu and a fully gluten-free menu, which we needed. Service was spot on. We had a large selection of things, too. Apps, we had eggplant leaf wrapped rice, calamari, and bruschetta. All were really solid, with the calamari standing out since it was big meaty rings versus the standard deep-fried smaller stuff. We went for lunch and ordered a couple of gyros, a burger, and some gluten-free pasta with meat bolognese. Again, its all really solid. Gyros were fresh and had the right blend of ingredients. The burger was 1/2 lb and yummy, and the gluten-free was very tasty and lots of meaty bolognese. The menu allows for repeat numerous casual visits, and we will enjoy them all.

The wait time at the Cliffs was 2 hours long so decided to head here for morning brunch. Tasty falafel appetizer. I had the Ali Nazik, and my partner had the chicken gyro. Both very good. Good cocktails too. Only downside is no ocean view, but there is the people watching and street traffic.

Poor service. Reservation was for an outdoor seating option, but table was in a corner right facing the restaurant door. Staff said additional 40 minutes wait for a different table, so went with the corner seat only to see other guests being given a table facing the street 10 minutes after, for the same family size . Veggie sandwich was bland, no seasoning at all and falafel was undercooked. Staff was not friendly.

We had Turkish breakfast here, Sultan Tray. The breadbasket was too dry and nothing in it was fresh. The hard boiled eggs were obviously boiled in the morning and by the time we were eating them, they were so cold and purple partially. We had to order scrambled eggs as an extra. Also, there was a tiny piece of glass in our Nutella which we were lucky to see before eating. The rest was fine but, I would not say that it was impressive though. Turkish tea was nice.

Loved everything about this spot. The service was perfect and the meal was really good. We had the smoked eggplant appetizer - be prepared to taste the smoke. It wasnt unpleasant but if youre thinking smoked like barbecue then you might be surprised. We also had the falafel app and it was top notch. Highly suggest it. My wife had the chicken salad and loved it and I had the Ali naz m. It was full of delicious lamb and the tomato sauce was excellent. Id for sure recommend this place and go again. Enjoyed my time with my besties to have brunch in this Turkish restaurant. It is selection of breakfast dishes, but small. I wouldn t recommend their breakfast for a few reasons; - Their boiled egg was cold and one of them seemed to be bad - Their breakfast menu wasn t good enough compared to the other ones I went. - Their tea tasted bitter Generally, we had a great time and it was nice to try once but not more.

Service and food were outstanding. Authentic dishes, well prepared and fresh. Indoor and outdoor seating. Vegetarian options. Do not skip the coffee and the ridiculously fresh baklava.

Every time I had a breakfast , lunch, or dinner in here, I was very happy. It s the closest to real Turkish food in Southern California, besides being in Türkiye. They always had a professional attitude and good ingredients in their food. GG s Bistro highly deserves the five stars.

Came here for lunch because Nicks was an hour wait. Hardly anyone was there except those in the know (!) Food was delicious, even the huge calamari rings perfectly cooked. Everyone loved their choice of food and exclaimed it was a place to remember for next time. Definitely will be back...service was great!

We ate dinner and found it to be just ok. I got the steak salad and we shared some calamari. Both were adequate but nothing special. The patio was very cramped and we had to ask other diners to move to get to our table. Service was adequate not great. We had a wobbly table, always irritating

I recently had lunch at GGs Bistro this last weekend. The atmosphere is super cute and fun. It was a perfect location right on the main Laguna Beach strip. I had the shrimp bowl. The protein was cooked to perfection and the rest of the bowl was amazing as well. I also drank the Mexican Mule which was a super fun and refreshing cocktail. Will definitely be back.

Very nice atmosphere. There is ocean view at outside sitting. Nice settings, too. Great for photos. Friendly service and good vegetarian selections. When we was there, staff complied with state COVID-19 guidelines well. Which made us feeling comfortable dining there.

I want to be clear, my party LOVED the food. I reduced the score by one star because of menu choices/price-rampup. Our party of three would have not sat down if one of us was not celebrating a birthday; in fact we saw a party walk away after looking at the menu. If you are not worried about prices, GG is AWESOME - the kebobs and rice are so flavorful! But if you find yourself in LB with slim funds, eat during lunch, or look elsewhere.

My husband and I were walking by and decided to give it a try and I m so glad we did! Lunch was so delicious we decided to return for dinner. The meals were incredible and the service was fantastic. We gathered here fir a birthday party and the server took care of us really well even though we were a large group. Drinks and food came out fast and delicious. Loved our experience here. The restaurant s patio has a nice ambiance as well. Highly recommend it. Try the Turkish coffee with baklava when you go.

Stumbled on to this place while looking for another one to lunch at. Very happy to have picked this one instead. The food was fantastic, and service attentive. Weve been vacationing the California coast for over 5 days, and I can say GGs Bistro is the best place we have had a meal at throughout our stay.

The food is amazing here !! We got eggplants, salmon and steak. All were so delicious. Salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. Steak, you can see on the picture, hands down one of the best steaks. Eggplants as well- very very good! Service was great and friendly as well. One thing I didn t expect is the portions size. One entry was certainly enough for me and my mom to share, so we took a bunch home. Highly recommend this place :) view is pretty nice too !

Ive been coming to Laguna Beach, for the past 18 years for the Summer, I spend an extended amount of time here. Overall, the selection of great restaurants are many, unfortunately, GGs is not one of them. My family and I decided to try it tonight for the first time, since Im of Middle Eastern descent. The food is mediocre (bland) at best; part of our main course was cold. The service was slow and in fact our server ignored us after he served us our appetizer, he was more concerned about a bigger party than our table of four. I also didnt care that they serve their cocktails and wine in plastic cups, when I inquired as to why that is, they used the virus as an excuse, which doesnt make sense, since every restaurant in Laguna is using glasses. Lastly, the prices do not commensurate with the quality. There are too many wonderful restaurants in Laguna and surrounding areas Id rather patronize before I would come back! I do not recommend this place!
