Food and service were excellent! We enjoyed the blue lip mussels and roasted stuffed poblano for starters. The entrees we tried were steak frites and pork tenderloin, and they were great also! Great ambiance and Hilary and Lindsey were super friendly!

5 star experience across the board. The vibe was perfect, the food was high end and delicious, and the service from Patrick was spot on. There were plenty of options on the menu, and you could tell from the descriptions there is love and care that goes into the selections. Pictured is the Steelhead Salmon.

Excellent! Everything was perfect! The service was amazing. The food was so delicious. Everyone in my party of 6 ordered a different menu item and there no disappointments. We started the meal with the blue cheese fries and then I had the vegetable vegan plate. There were a few ingredients that I am allergic to but the chef made substitutions. A perfect entree for me #allergygirl !

Ive been eating around a grill for many years - a friend and I stopped in for a quick bite of an old favorite - the stuffed poblano pepper. It laughed many of the key ingredients that made the original recipe so great there was no texture no substance only creamy and artichokes. Same great atmosphere, but one poblano pepper and two glasses of wine left the bill at 60.00.

Not celiac-friendly, as the menu might have you believe. Though the menu offers multiple items that claim they can be prepared gluten free upon request, this statement is false because items labeled GF are cooked in the same oil/fryer as foods containing gluten. Additionally, items on the menu that come with bread or toast are made GF by simply removing the bread with no alternative grain replacement.

Visted Nirvana back in July and overall had a good experience. Ordered a couple of drinks and a salad which were a bit overpriced but tasted good. One thing to note is that they add a service charge to the check. I am pretty sure this was not disclosed on the menu which is border-line illegal, since I am not sure what I am paying this fee for. Since we were only a party of 2 and we also tipped the server, it would only be compliant that service fees are transparent and aknowledged by patrons before ordering.

We were seated at a booth for 4 although there were only 2 of us. After a few minutes we were told we needed to move to a table for 2 because they needed the booth for a party of 4. We said ok, and unfortunately the table was wedged in a small space behind another booth. We were ok with that until a few minutes later they seated another couple in the booth we had. So much for the party of 4. There were additional problems with our drink and food orders as well.

Location: Good, Service: Decent, Parking: Street. Price for food received: a bit high, Was Owner Present : Yes, Overall: This was a first-time try, and I was looking for a nice light filler to end the evening and see the Pagent of The Masters. At first, I did not know our server was the owner and chef. Both myself and my date wanted to share and order 3 dishes. I will admit all 3 were very good and flavorful . The presentation was also very good. The servers were responsive and did check on us at decent times. When I did find that our main server was the owner and I wanted to ask a question. She made it feel like I was intruding, which was not the case at other tables. So would I go back? Sure, there were a few items on the menu I would enjoy trying. So, for now, 3.8 stars...

On an overnight trip to Laguna we decided to try Nirvana since we hadnt been before, and the menu looked really good. Im glad we did, as it was a spectacular meal. The woman who seated us and served us during the meal turned out to be the chef-owner, and, seeing as she was an expert on everything to do with the restaurant, she made the experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance is casual but lovely and the menu has so much variety. We started with the butternut squash ravioli and then went to the herbs de Provence chicken breast, and ended with tiramisu and ice cream trio. Everything was simply delicious. For sure, we will be back.

We stopped by to have drink and food. The waitress was very helpful and respectful, but the chef that discussed the gluten free and vegan options on the menu with us was very upset and rude. When they realized we are not going to order because their gluten free options are not really gluten free (they only have one fryer) she personally made us get up while having our drinks and waiting for an appetizer and moved us to the bar. Terrible attitude from the chef!!!!!!!

Food was highly overpriced. It seemed as if it was trying to be fine dining. Portions are extremely small for the sea bass plate. Maybe 6oz about 4-5 spoon fulls of potatoes and 4 asparagus choped into sections. The majority of staff seemed like they had no clue what was going on and were very inexperienced. However nice and trying. I would recommend the restrant droping their prices significantly. Definitely nothing fancy. Chicken was very dry.

We ordered some food items for Thanksgiving dinner. I arrived promptly at our scheduled pickup time at 1pm. It was pre-paid. At 2:23 we were finally given our food. The woman wearing the black and white striped shirt was rude and unapologetic for the fact that our order wasn t ready even close to the time it was expected. I can understand running a few minutes late but not an hour and a half on a holiday when we have people waiting for us for a meal. We bought this to make it easier, not harder. I don t recommend ordering for Thanksgiving or holidays. They were a disaster. If the woman hadn t been so rude and unapologetic about the fact we had to sit in their restaurant for almost 90 minutes while they tried to get their stuff in order then I wouldn t have made this review. Her lack of any remorse for their failure to be prepared and her snotty attitude towards me when I finally got upset at them for making is stand there and wait forever is why I took the time out of my day to review instead of letting the entire incident go.

Although we were about 15 min late to our reservation, the hostess was very nice and was able to seat us right away; so, that was a plus and I was very hopeful about my dining experience. However, that experience slowly began going down hill after we sat down. We patiently waited on a server to come by, even made eye contact with a couple servers, but no one came to our table. It wasnt until after we spoke to the couple sitting next to us, who mentioned that they had been waiting for an hour and a half until their main dishes arrived to their table, that a server decided to take our order. That was because the couple next to us had to asked the server to go to our table after he brought out their food. Approximately 20 min after placing our order, we were told that they had run out of a main ingredient for one of the particular dishes we ordered and was given an option of substitution. One would think that we wouldve been told sooner, but we accepted the situation for what it was. We finally received our food 45 min later. Overall, it was an okay experience. The place is nice and so is the ambiance. It gets a little loud because the tables are positioned very close together. The food was very good, but Im not sure if it was because we were just hungry from waiting for so long or if it was actually tasty. Aside from the hostess, the service was not all too great. We also felt annoyed that our server was going a bit overboard on checking in on us to somehow make up for any inconveniences that we experienced thus far. It was unnecessary. If you got this far into my review, just be wary that your server may automatically try to include a 22% tip charge to your bill. I dont think I would recommend this place just yet, however, I would visit this place again to give it a second chance to redeem itself.

Overall... meh. Service was very efficient and faster than expected. Cocktails were good. Food left a little to be desired tonight. NY strip: steak was thinner than expected and over cooked. Mashed potatoes and onions/mushroom sides were good though. Filet mignon: steak was good, correctly cooked med rare. Sides were good, but spinach was too salty for us. Blackened scallops: dont have much to say either way, they were basically flavorless, but cooked well and not over done. Appetizers: stuffed Poblanos and burrata salad were both very good. Didnt try the desserts. Nice atmosphere and good parking. Probably wont go back. Not what we expected for the price we paid and what we received.

Service and ambiance were fine but the food and cocktails were mediocre at best. We had a couple small plates - mushroom ravioli and lump crab cakes. They were nothing to write home about. My wife had the rock fish and she enjoyed it. I had blackened scallops which were bland and rubbery. I know that in a tourist area you pay more for the surroundings but it would be nice to have high-end taste when paying high-end prices.

They have a menu for young persons (kids). The service is always friendly and inviting. Ive gone with friends, on dates, and with children. We like to dine here before going to the Laguna Playhouse or Pageant of the Masters. Its across the street in close walking distance. On our last visit, we had the Roasted Poblano Chile, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Chicken Wontons, Filet Brochettes, and Organic Gnocchi with a Chicken Breast side. For dessert, we enjoyed the ice cream: House-Made Goat Cheese Maple (surprisingly good, tangy and sweet), House-Made Cinnamon, and Dark Chocolate Truffle. I am a regular. The menu is creative, fresh, varies regularly, and is always tasty. They are also quite accommodating to special dietary needs (I am gluten intolerant). The one drawback is that, with their small venue and good food, Nirvana is to some extent a victim of its own success... its popularity makes it crowded at times, and can degrade the quality of the service. The food, however, is worth these minor annoyances.
