I rate a breakfast place by their cup of coffee. It was a good cup of coffee, nice and smooth. French toast was great. The Matador Omelet was delicious! Service was great. Absolutely would come back!

Got the Spicy Mexican omelet with house made potato chips and a Cinnamon Honey latte (less sweet). The Cinnamon honey latte was perfect, not too sweet and came in a giant mug. Their potato chips were nice and crispy, lightly salted and tasted good with their sauce. The spicy Mexican omelet was delicious (not spicy though) and the hash browns were cooked well with a crunchy top layer. I added Tapatio & their salsa. Tasted great and I left VERY full. It's a cute little place on the corner with a inside and patio seating. Street parking is available, I didn't notice a parking lot.

Came here with some family from out of town for the first time. It's a lovely location. Cozy inside. The 5 of us were seated within 2 minutes. There was abit of a rush once we arrived and so our food took a minute to get to us ... however the wait was worth it. The brownie pancakes were Amazing!!.

Also get the tater tots you won't be disappointed

Sunday brunch can take long however my date's food came 20 minutes before mine, our orders were taken after 20 minutes, and my entrée, the fried chicken sandwich, was so underwhelming, I couldn't understand what took so long as the fried chicken patty was miniscule....wth? For the prices....meh!

I don't know if I just had a bad experience, because the gentleman beside us was raving about the food and service.

Service was exceptional! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcome.

I ordered a cup of fruit to start, now I don't know if it was from packaging or actually mold, but the fruit, specifically the strawberries, appeared old and turned. There was a small green fuzz on one of the strawberries, and I am very allergic to penicillin (a mold) so I sent it back and the waitress took it off our check with no problem. Issue fixed!

Then I ordered the Egg Flower Benedict. The first of the two was perfect, beautiful runny yolk, nice and warm, delicious! I took a bite of the second and got a mouthful of egg shell, and not a small peice, at least a quarter sized section of shell. Needless to say, I spit it out and at that point was done with my meal. The waitress gave me a complimentary banana chocolate bread slice, which was delightful and warm. But for two people I wasn't a fan of spending nearly $50 for that meal.

Service was very friendly and I didn't ask for a refund, which maybe I should have, but we won't be coming back.

Super cute place, no wait for a table about noon on a Saturday, so that was refreshing. The parking was easy. The food was so good, highly recommended the burritos, tried 2, and they were so well prepared and seasoned. Very nice staff and cute interior too.

We have visited the Blackbird cafe in Long Beach on two occasions. Today, Friday 8/23, was the 2nd time and it was fabulous as ever! Our server Annette, was friendly, fast and delightful to speak with. My sister and I split an Italian sausage Omelette and the P-nut butter oat pancakes. The ingredients were fresh and the servings are generous. Try the Blackbird, they will not disappoint.

Hi to everyone of you! Being deaf, I arrived and waited at the front desk, but the employee ignored me as I waited for the next table and talked to someone else. He never came back and was really impolite! Once more, I had no issues using it there until the woman became extremely rude! Then I discovered this Hole Mole restaurant, which made me happy. I will definitely return here because of the welcoming staff! Do not ever return to BlackBird!

Me and my wife decided to come to this restaurant due to the reviews about the food. We ordered the Carnitas Torta, the Spicy Mexican Omelette, and the French toast. I myself am not a huge fan of soy chorizo and believes it gives it an off taste to the food. The carnitas torta tasted more like a pulled pork sandwich, which although not too bad it was not what I was expecting in the sense of taste. I only ate half of the torta due to that reason. The French toast was indeed very good. Nice and spongy. Did a great job soaking up the syrup and butter taste. The staff was great and friendly, providing great costumer service. The restaurant was in mid renovation so the atmosphere was quite blend, also kinda hot inside. Although it was not bad at all, I dont see us going back any time soon.

A co-worker and myself tried this cafe for the 1st time for breakfast this morning! Let s just say we found a new breakfast spot. We both got breakfast burritos hers with shrimp, soy etc. I got a that Barbacoa breakfast burrito with spicy ranchero sauce. The 1st bite we were both hooked! This cafe cooks with FLAVOR! OMG we were bSO pleased with our choices and will be trying other menu items soon! Tasty!

The servers are by far the sweetest and so attentive, the food is incredibly delicious and always served hot, (sn our coffees where always hallways before refilled again, love that!) great atmosphere, love the artwork in the bathroom, and always leave excited for our next breakfast date! Its a small establishment, so you may have to wait. In my recent visit, we were quoted 30 minutes and only ended up being about 20 minutes. Staff are very friendly. While we had an error with our order, it was rectified without issue. Food was excellent, portions were great. Some items dont come with sides so please make sure you read the menu thoroughly. Really enjoyed Black Bird Cafe!

So they put us inside by the door so everyone walking by could bump into us as they walked in and out. I used to come to this place years ago. It was one of my favorites. I came here a couple of days ago and Im so disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere is so different, not in a good way. The staff are friendly but not attentive. Had to keep asking for everything from silverware to syrup for the pancake. It wasnt busy, maybe 3 other tables when we got there. Definitely wont be going again.

Me and my work crew stumbled upon this hidden gem, the services was excellent and very friendly. What a gem! Small, bustling breakfast spot worth the small trek to Orange/Wardlow. Had to wait a minute to get in, but once seated was promptly and properly served. Off the bat I gotta say the iced tea was particularly good! Im sure thats not their marquee item but nevertheless warrants mentioning as its fresh brewed daily (the day I was there they had a tropical-type infused thing going on), unsweetened and utterly-refreshing. But as for breakfast... I had the Chicken Fried Chicken Benedict and by-golly that thing was delishville. The poached egg atop delightfully-fried slices of chicken atop an English muffin all covered in Hollandaise sauce nailed it. The hash browns were perfectly crispy. My wife had a Shrimp Lorraine egg-white omelette topped in Hollandaise sauce and by her reports and my sampling, it was evident that it too was rather scrumptious. The shrimps were succulent and not rubbery. Also came with killer sourdough toast slices. Our waiter was great (quick, attentive, no-nonesense but friendly), food came out quick, coffees and tea stayed full, price was totally fair. Admittedly Im not the biggest breakfast food fan, but I would absolutely eat here again.

Ive been coming to Blackbird Cafe for a couple of years now. This restaurant has become one of my go-to places for breakfast. I have yet to be dissatisfied with the food. My favorite thing to eat here is the breakfast bowl, and as much as I have tried to switch it up, this is the food item I always go back to.

Blackbird is always good and a staple to the neighborhood. My go to is the Dos Caballeros. A Spanish twist to Eggs Benedict. Weve also enjoyed their omelets, peanut butter pancakes, burgers and house made potato chips and both coffees and mimosas! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.

Very good and reasonably priced. Service very good. I will definitely be going back. And when your done and you want to walk it off a little from being stuffed walk north one house and check the garden out. It is one of the most unique gardens you will ever see. They have dogs inside their low front fence but we pet one that was super friendly but best to just look unless owner is there.

Took a long time to be seated, despite there only being one party ahead of us. There was no waiting area so we just had to stand awkwardly in front of the door while people came in and out. The waitress was so rude. Asked her for vegan options, as the internet says there are vegan options available but nothing is marked vegan on the menu. She said she didnt know, asked what that meant. When I explained what I needed, she proceeded to grill me about menu items. Like I am supposed to know what ingredients they have. I am just a customer, I dont know whats vegan there. She did not bother to check with anyone else or give any help whatsoever. I ordered fruit only as she made zero effort to help me find a vegan meal option. She spoke rudely and offered no apologies. An amazing hidden gem with great shops and ambiance surrounding this Golden nugget of goodness. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our typical mimosa whenever we get together, their table mimosa self mad creations was fun. We had orange, pomegranate, and cranberry juice; making it so much more fun to talk about our lives and sos. I had a house special, I didnt know kw until I devoured it. It was a Californian style eggs Benedict, with Chipotle, avocado (small additional charge) fixings, on a separate with a side of delicious black beans. I may be paying for nutrasystem, but this wS beyond worth the cheat day. By the way excellent shopping abd boutiques, vintage stores all around. It was an amazing fun adventure with a amazing friend who lives too far away. Enjoy! Also close to the LB airport

Was quoted a 20 minute wait time was more like 40 when we sat down we are helped very quickly which was nice. Lots of different food options I very well priced. Order the breakfast burrito sub the bacon for turkey bacon, turkey bacon was a little funky. Cant wait to go back and try something else Highly recommended.

The food is very good. And the Mexican Mocha was delicious. However, it couldve been a bit hotter. It was only just luke warm so I knocked a star off for that. Monte Cristo was delicious. Server was great!

Spicy Mexican Omelet is a winner! The others in my party got variations on pancakes - the pancakes were excellent with nice falovr and a light texture.

Omgosh, seriously one of the best breakfast I ve had! I would go there for the cinnamon honey latte alone. I had the caballeros Benedict, and would recommend it to friends and fam. I didn t catch my server s name, but she was absolutely lovely! They seemed busy but she continually checked up on me. I ll be going back
