Board says 1.80 for a bagel and .50 for cream cheese on bagels, gourmet bagels and croissants but the woman ringing me up said I had to pay 3.49 for cream cheese. I paid left and went to eat me somehow both slightly burnt and cold, stale egg bagel with a thin layer of soupy cream cheese. Wouldn t have left a review but while I was sitting her a man working there came how to loudly explain to me how to read and I said it s okay like 4-5x before he would just leave me alone. I thought they were so busy because it s a great place but I m pretty sure it s because it s the only bagel spot. Really don t care so much about being charged a dollar or so more, I just wish the bagels were good. Parking: Very few spots

Delicious Bagels with a Side of Charm Rating: 5/5 stars The 5th Avenue Bagelry is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked bagels fills the air, setting the stage for a delightful culinary experience. The variety of bagels offered is impressive, ranging from classic plain to adventurous flavors like everything and blueberry. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and a recommendation if youre unsure what to try. Whether youre in the mood for a simple toasted bagel with cream cheese or a loaded breakfast sandwich, theyve got you covered. One of my favorite aspects of this place is its cozy atmosphere. Its the perfect spot to grab a quick bite on your way to work or to linger over a leisurely brunch with friends on the weekend. Plus, the prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. In summary, 5th Avenue Bagelry is a must-visit for any bagel enthusiast or food lover in town. Trust me; you wont be disappointed!

I came into town for the Long Beach Grand Prix and this bagel place was very conveniently close to the venue. I stopped in and ordered a coffee, and a Breakfast bagel. Both were fantastic. It took about 10 mins to get my bagel but it was worth the wait. There s a good amount of seating inside and 2 small tables outside which are preferred for sure. This place also makes boba and all sorts of other non breakfast styled sandwiches.

The bagel was so good! I had the Asiago Spinach bagel. It was soft and fresh. The chai lattes are also tasty. July 2022: I notice they all wear masks now. They also have a separate line for pick ups now which makes it easier for people to get orders quickly. Original review posted November 2021: The workers here don t wear masks. They haven t for months. If they don t follow that health mandate, I don t have any reason to believe they follow other ones. That seems like a big deal since they re handling food.

On an early walk in a brisk cloudful Saturday morning, I find 5th Ave Bagelry. Originally from New Jersey, I take a chance on finding a satisfying bagel meal. Customer service is good; even with a seemingly busy morning, the employees seem to be working efficiently. I don t wait long for the meal. The Heavenly Veggie Deluxe tastes good! The meal is to savor bite by bite, and I prefer to eat one bagel half at a time. The red onions give the meal a necessary zest. Seasoning balances the Avocado texture. Tomatoes make the meal juicier while adding a subtle sweet flavor. The Vegan cream cheese is a solid base which makes the bagel more comfortable to eat. All the ingredients mesh so well together. The pickle is a boost of food juice flavor inbetween bagel halves that makes the flavors of the bagel more present, to me.

I went to this business establishment the other day & left highly disappointed. I attempted to order two completely different bagels. The cashier ether made the mistake or the ones making the order made the mistake. I ordered one Cranberry Cream Cheese Bagel the other one was a crowd pleasers Black Forest Ham Bagel. Instead of giving me my two bagels they combined both of them together. Giving me SpongeBob SquarePants nasty patty vibes. I did not eat the Bagel. No recipt was given to me ether so I couldnt go back to Bagely to complain & just excepted my loss.

Great food. I ordered the blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese & the turkey sandwich but on a plan bagel. Bagels where toasted just right. Just the right amount of crunch, light airy and fluffy. I also ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice. The taste was good, with a lot of pulp, but that s to be expected. Review №114

Poor quality food and high prices are the main reasons for the 1 star rating. The wait is not a bother when you are expecting quality food for the inflation prices 5th Ave Bagelry charges. The increase in pricing seems to be reflected in the decrease in portion and protein sizes on the sandwiches. In addition, I was charged an extra dollar for veggies on the side when I did not order them, nor did they give them to me with said order. I only ordered two sandwiches (5th ave bagel and a BEC on a bagel, I wish I took photos). I even ordered directly over the phone with their staff. Which I understand being busy, but the person who took my order hung up abruptly with no total given or time duration for pick-up. I called back to get those details on the second phone call. The lackluster quality of food and unapologetic service made it clear that no one working did not care either regarding the experience. Upon refund request the original receipt given to me did not reflect the tip left either. Which prompted me to correct the employee of my refund total, because they only go by what the initial receipt total is and not what you left in complete total for your bill. If you made it this far in the 1 star review you know I will not be back again.

My favorite thing about this place is the Vietnamese iced coffee. If you fancy yourself a coffee connoisseur and haven t tried Vietnamese coffee, well you BETTER GET ON IT! It tastes great, and this spot gives you the most bang for your buck in the entire area. I get a huge cup of iced coffee for under $5 where most places charge $5-6 for much less. I also highly suggest the bagel sandwiches. My favorites are the prosciutto, and the turkey. The jalapeños they throw on that baby REALLY SMACK if you re into a lil heat. Otherwise ask for it without.

Absolutely a top bagelry. When I first moved to downtown Long Beach I was disheartened that there wasnt a good bagel place to cute my Saturday hangovers. A few months later, 5th Ave opened, and I was saved. My go-to is the Works bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. But Ive had just about every bagel here and they are all amazing. Their spreads are legit. Not flavored but have actual chunks of chive/jalapeno/strawberry/etc. Friends visiting from New York say it would fit right in on the East Coast. And if youve had too much to drink the night before, grab some of the orange juice with your bagel. It will bring you back to life.

Normally we have great experiences here but today we got our bagels home and realized that one of them wasnt at all what we ordered. Instead of a bagel with chive cream cheese and avocado, we got a sesame seed bagel with avocado and onions... No cream cheese. A quite unappetizing alternative for me personally.

Ive ordered from this place 3 times. The first time was good. Second time, they didnt have what I wanted, so I cancelled the order. The third time I ordered, the muffins I ordered were not fresh! They are stale like they were made a day or two ago. The chocolate chips were so old, they were already starting to get white. This place is hit-or-miss. I recommend you call ahead to see if they have the inventory available before you order and see how old items are before making your purchase. Seriously $4 for an old muffin. Disappointed.

Top 4 reasons why this mom & pop establishment has the best bagels Ive ever eaten: 1. They season BOTH sides of the bagel well. 2. High quality bread - crunchy on the outside (i ask for double toast) and soft/chewy on the inside 3. Generous portion of cream cheese. Jalapeno variety is fire. 4. Pair with the vanilla nut coffee brew and youve got yourself the perfect breakfast on-the-go combo. Ive been coming here for years with my family and this review is well past overdue. Nevertheless, I am happy to support small business!

Best Bagels ever! Its the only place open on Pine in the morning and its the only place that opens when they say they will open. They are keeping everything clean and everyone is wearing masks, awesome!

Really disappointed in this place. The food is incredible, I will give them that, I havent had bad food there. The issue for me is the changing price, and the wait time. The first time I went, they were fast and the price was around $25 for two sandwiches, two drinks and a few bagles to go. My order hasnt really changed since my first time going, and the price has risen every time. My next visit was $28, then $30, and now $33. Not a huge difference, but noticeable. Its really sad, because its very good, but it takes you 15min to get your food and the price constantly shifts. They also dont know the difference between a dairy allergy and an egg allergy, for all of you with anaphylaxis, beware.

Found this place a few weeks back and really liked the food. I pretty much get the same sandwich every week, with 2 regular bagels, and a drink every time. The price has actually increased every single week. When I first went my order was about $20, but it has slowly increased over the past two months to $35. I get that they are the only bagel shop in the area and have no competition so they can price how they want but the consistency is really disappointing. The price is inconsistent along with the quality and portions. Its really such a bummer. On top of that extreme price, they often mess up the order, forget half the order entirely, or mess up with allergy issues. And the last detail is that they dont enforce the mask mandate. I often see employees walking around and making drinks with no masks and customers constantly walk in and out without masks..... I hope they get the consistency under control tho...

Love this spot! They have a much bigger menu than I expected- its not just bagels! They do have a big selection of bagels and multiple cream cheese options which is perfect for someone who likes to try different combinations. Their smoothies are also a must! They taste so fresh and refreshing!

To preface, I am a daily customer, but I will no longer be. Be cautious - this restaurant is not enforcing LA Countys order to have everyone wear facemasks when entering their establishment. This morning there were two separate parties inside without coverings, and when I asked why they werent being asked to put them on, the answer kept changing. Make sure to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands if you chose to eat here.
