Omelette Inn

If you’re looking for a hearty breakfast spot with good food that’s fresh with rich flavors, you need to check out Omelette Inn. I ordered the “#3 HOBO” omelette with potatoes and sourdough toast. It was delicious, which is clearly evidenced by the clean plate (see the last photo). My wife had the “#2 Scrambler” with a few add-ins and hash browns. She also went with the sourdough toast. Everything was very good, although I recommend selecting the potatoes over the hash browns. Our server, Mari, suggested the potatoes and I’m glad I took her advice. Those alone are worth a return trip. Coffee was also fresh and strong 💪 ☕️.

Good quality breakfast with fast service and lots of fresh ingredients! Staff was absolutely lovely the entire time we ate they were attentive and kind. I forgot my sunglasses here and they ran out to return them! I had an excellent breakfast and I’d recommend stopping here for a quick reasonably priced bite!

One of the best omelettes I ever had! Amazing... They customise our order as we like. Quick and fast service. The portion is quite big and keeps you filled throughout.

I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage and it tasted good but they barely gave me any sausage. At least a sausage patty would’ve been nice. The sandwich is too expensive for 4 little sausage links.

EDIT: I must mention that I flipped the sausages over and it turns out those are actually HALVES. They actually only gave me TWO SAUSAGES on my $13+ sandwich. I’m very disappointed. I’ll still give them 2 stars cuz the hash browns were actually pretty good but that doesn’t make up for a $13 sandwich with only 2 links.

Went to this place on a whim recommended by a local for breakfast. I got a breakfast burrito. Food was great, large portions and great price! Place was filled with locals and locals getting pick up orders that s says a lot when locals keep coming back!

Last time I went the pancakes were really big and fresh, this time they were significantly smaller and didn t seem that fresh. There was also a slight pepper taste from either an improperly cleaned grill or worse, plate.

This hole in the wall place is a must go eat at, the food extremely good and you can tell that the cook still has a passion for cooking. The omelet and toast are to die for the atmosphere and decor brings you to a back in the day feeling of just having a good time with the people you bring. Mediocre, omelette was disappointing considering that s the name of the place. Ordered a cheese omelette with onions and peppers but they use green onions instead of regular onion ? Egg tasted like it had no salt or pepper. Also shared pancakes that s tasted like a mix and than I saw the packages coming in from Costco. It s not a bad brand but they need a little extra like adding vanilla. The 2 pancakes were over sized and a decent value for the size. Server was very friendly and accommodating.

Went to a conference in Long Beach and ended up eating breakfast here every single day. Good portions at reasonable prices. Breakfast potatoes and fresh squeezed orange juice were the best parts, but I enjoyed the whole meal. Nice staff as well.

Im obsessed with this place! Its a very down-to-Earth, friendly breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in a very cool old building. I love the simple decor and surroundings, but you know what I love even more? The food! My best friend and I came here before attending the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, and I definitely want to return when Im in the area. I ordered a chocolate chip pancake, a breakfast burrito made with bacon (hash browns on the side), and a hot chocolate. It was PERFECT. Definitely go here if you want an awesome breakfast. (Note: The restroom is down a flight of stairs, but theres a sign saying staff will direct disabled people to a more suitable restroom.) Our server was a friendly woman who seated us, brought our food, and checked on us several times, all with a smile. I highly recommend the Omelette Inn!

Omelette Inn is a wonderful hidden little gem in the heart of downtown Long Beach. With Mayor Rex Richardson welcoming you from the kiosk to 2 hours free public parking that is a walk away from the restaurant. The food is delicious, Marisol, our server went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and breakfast. Cons restroom and the A1 stake sauce was watered down, other then that, it is an excellent place to have breakfast with friends and family.

I used to be a regular here and and my pup and I come frequently. I ordered take out because I know they get busy at times. I waited patiently 10-15 min on the patio for the hostess as I always do and no one came out. Eventually I called and the woman Kim she said her name was so rude and unprofessional. The first time I called I told her I was outside waiting. No one came so I called back and she basically said we are short staffed. I can t leave my post. You need to come to the door. Again I have a dog and I m very mindful of taking him inside restaurants. Not everyone feels ok with animals inside restaurants and some have severe allergies. She keeps saying we only have two people working and a lot of take out orders. I told her I have a takeout order. She then repeated that I need to come inside. This is the thing. I get being understaffed but I live in the building, go there frequently and it s sad that the customer service is so awful. Well at least today. The woman was rude and condescending without an apology and shouldn t be working in customer service. What about I m sorry are under staffed. I ll send someone out as soon as possible. They need more people working in the morning. There was one waitress I saw for maybe 6-8 tables. That s a lot. I understand but I will not be going back. It s unfortunate because it s always my go to place.

This place deserves every star! The staff was friendly, the food portions were filling, the prices were fair, and the service was fast. The ambiance was a humble and cozy feel. There is outside dining as well to watch the sites. They also offer plenty of condiment choices. If you are in Long Beach looking for breakfast this is a definite must! Went to Long beach pride & needed a good breakfast. Open for breakfast & lunch only. Google was accurate in the wait time saying it was 15-20min.. but there was multiple tables open & we still had to wait. I didn t mind, I come from the service industry, but once you sit the service & food is delicious. Thought I d mention it because people in line kept repeating that. If you are inpatient, maybe not the place for you. This place is known for Omelettes so go crazy! But I ended up wanting something fresh. Went with the Sandwich called The Natural it was delicious! & the fries OMG. Were huge & crispy. I can appreciate a good home fry. I also got a caramel latte & it was heavenly. Girlfriend got a strawberry lemonade that was TO DIE. Definitely would come back. Location : next to Hamburger Marys which is a LGBTQ club that does shows & tours. Might be a bit packed because of that but I loved it. Seeing everyone dressed up & laughing, having fun was pretty cool. Also they have picture ops if you re into that. Parking: we parked in a parking garage around the corner. There are a lot of options for parking. Especially that early you ll be ok. We didnt end up paying, not sure why. We got a ticket and the gate just opened when we got close to it. hope you get lucky to!

As a big dude, I tend to order a lot of stuff and that gives me to give a more comprehensive review due to amount of variety I get as well as the longer time I spend at a location. Starting from entry, there is no obvious place to ask for a table, no host stand or anything so I m standing awkwardly in the entrance till a server comes up and ask me. Food wise, it really is mediocre. I asked for hash browns extra crispy and if what they gave me was extra crispy, im scared to see what they would consider not crispy. Biscuits tasted very cheap, gravy was okay. The eggs Benedict was very overpowered by the ham but mostly was fine. The hollandaise sauce was okay. Blueberry muffin was decent, lots of blueberries so I d give that a 8/10 Service wise there seemed to be a lot of waiters running around but I was barely checked on, I had to flag a waiter multiple times to get something or another. Overall I would give this a 6.5/10 experience. Okay for a Denny s level breakfast but not any more than that.

Omelette Inn is one of the most under recognized and underrated places in town. Best omelette in downtown Long Beach. Treated myself this morning with the Carnaval omelette that has shrimp, Louisiana sausage, peppers, cajun spices. Omelet is perfectly cooked with generous portions. Hash Brown is crispy on the outside.

Unfortunately, I had to give 3 stars for poor handling of my order. The food was good, well what I received of it. I ordered the Sicilian Omlette with toast and a coffee with cream & sugar but I only received a black coffee and no toast with my omlette. When I called the restaurant the girl that fulfilled my order told me that she had given the driver a baggie with the sugar and cream, so I called the driver which told me he did not receive that & that someone else moments ago had also expected a drink as well which they did not receive. He told me that the restaurant has messed up before. I called back & spoke with the same young lady that fulfilled my order & she stated well, not sure what to say then but the thing is is that I had a very large order to fill and so I must have forgotten your toast and Im sorry. So if she forgot my toast, I am sure she also forgot the sugar & cream for a coffee I was not able to have due to her lack of attention. This was very unprofessional, & unfortunately, I will not bother to return or order from here again.

Had eggs benedict. They use thin sliced ham rather than Canadian bacon. The eggs were cooked to hard rather than medium which was disappointing. The potatoes were delicious and wait staff were very attentive! Coffee was very good. Place was busy.

There is no way to describe the food and service we got. We made it there at 7:02 and I have never had service or breakfast like this before my food was hot, fresh and absolutely fantastic. It was reasonably priced and its in the heart of DTLB so its a win.

YOU WANT TO EAT HERE!! I try breakfasts everywhere I go and this was truly a great find. The wait staff were very friendly and efficient (5 points out of 5) & the interior was nice (3.5). I ordered a make your own omlette w hash browns and a biscuit w gravy on the side. The food came out quickly and looked great. The coffee was very good 4.5, omlette & filling was plentiful and tasty (5), hash browns (4) were thick but crispy on the edges, the biscuit (5) was freshly grilled and the country gravy (3.5) was good but a bit bland for my taste. The real standout was their homemade salsa (5+). I will get some to go the next time I come through town. All in all a great experience which I plan to repeat. I recommend you give them a try, you wont regret it.

This is such a cute breakfast place. I got the eggs Benedict which I always get for breakfast. It was good and the hashbrowns are yummy!! I recommend

Great breakfast. Vegetarian options: Theres vegetarian options. You can easily make menu items vegan or vegetarian. They have vegan meat (beyond or impossible or something). Parking: Youll have to walk a little bit if you cant get parking on that block.
