In my very honest opinion, overpriced. I ve eaten at a whole lot of breakfast places and for the price it just isn t worth it. Food looked great don t get me wrong, but the taste wasn t all that great. Waiters seemed pretty frustrated and wasn t the greatest atmosphere, also over 100 bucks for two plates, and two sides; pretty crazy.

We got to the restaurant at 11:22AM. We had to find parking (so expected limited space). Parked around corner and based on reviews, put in 2hrs worth, due to the line we seen outside. Waited approx 45mins...asked if we wanted to sit at bar! We said yes! The staff was welcoming. If your expecting ac inside forget it, due to the door being open for staff servers. It was not terribly hot inside. (Cali heavt wave ° 100) we didnt complain. Server (Light skin black woman) at the bar was wonderful! She was absolutely lovely and the hostess (hispanic male) who showed us to our seats (fun energy). This restaurant caters to everyone! Our food and drinks was awesome and we have no complains! We will be back. They can accommodate your menu for brunch. I got the Eggs N e way served....my sister got Chicken and waffles. She was happy with the southern time gravy with chunks of hamburger steak! The atmosphere was energetic and everyone seemed happy. The staff behind the counter communicated well and didnt hear them complain. That means the staff has a long standing work relationship. Love, love, loved it! Kid-friendliness: Probably better to have the kids outside then inside established.

For a Sunday morning The Breakfast Bar was pretty busy, there were large lines and wait time for groups but my friend and I were able to go in with only a 5-10min wait. The space gave beach side vibes and the service was pretty friendly. Our waiter, Beto was the best!! Really loved his energy and chats. I got an avocado toast as their vegan options were pretty limited and was disappointed in the food. Everyone else mentioned how great the food was but I didnt see the appeal. Maybe it was just because of a basic avocado toast, I wouldnt be opposed to coming back and trying something else! Hope Beto is doing well!!

One of the best coffees in South Cali has to be their Mocha Muchacho with oat milk. I literally went back every day just for that coffee. Came in with high hopes owing to the high ratings but we did not like anything that we tried here. The portion sizes were reasonable given the pricing but the food itself tasted below average. There are better places around that we would go to instead. They have indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of metered street parking if you come in early on the weekend.

I am very disappointed with this restaurant. The service was very slow and my coffee wasnt even hot. I was with my family of 6 and our food took quite some time to come out, which is understandable with our amount of people. But the quality of the food was not worth the cost. For example, 2 pancakes, a slice of bacon and 2 eggs cost me 20 dollars. The flavor was bland and the food was cold. Im sure you can make better food at home, I do not recommend eating here.

This location has a great chill breakfast vibe! There was indoor and outdoor seating which is refreshing on a nice day. The staff was very pleasant and were quick to seat us and place our orders. The food was yummy. I had the Eggs Papi with soyrizo. I have a spicier palate so I was looking for a little more spice. I asked for hot sauce and they gave us a small cup of a VERY spicy sauce which was the perfect touch (literally because pouring it on would have set our mouths on fire). The potato pancake was tasty also. If I could have had a couple of those to-go, I would have but I didnt ask. I love LB and this will definitely be on the list of breakfast spots the next time I visit the area.

Honest breakfast place. Busy for brunch with a 15 mins wait and well managed waiting list by the host. Got nice seating outside. The server took a bit to show up but was kind and smiling. Ordered the virgin cucumber lemonade. Refreshing. The bloody mary could be better. Ordered Eggs Noni and country fried chicken breakfast. Well plated. Eggs Noni was great. It needs to be country fried steak (not chicken). Overall a good experience..and recommended Vegetarian options: Good if can do eggs

Pretty stereotypical breakfast/brunch food, it was good but not outrageously special. Service left something to be desired though, finished my entire main before we ever got ketchup for the tater tots Not to mention, we had to beg for water to ever get any. Makes me regret leaving a tip at all.

Very pricey! Food was good. I ordered the lemon pancake. I say pancake because it was 1 average size pancake, just 1 and it costs $11. It was Sunday for brunch (around 12:30-1pm) the wait for 2 was about 15 mins. I even called ahead and they said it would be about that eta as well. I got the french toast combo with vegan sausage when my friend got the vegan burrito with a side (upcharge 4$) of a waffle. She s not vegan, and enjoyed. We also got the bottle of champagne with OJ for 22$. This allowed 2 glasses pp. If ordered individually a mimosa is 9.50$ so you actually save a few $ by ordering individually but you have the choice of your champagne to OJ ratio if you get the sunday mimosa special by ordering the bottle. I think overall the food was enjoyable. We liked it. It s nothing totally to write home about, but we finished our food. The prices were definitely $$ but I thought the quality matched it decently for this type of place especially for combos. Dietary restrictions: There are vegan options

This place was different from the others in a good way. This was one of the rare restaurants that I ate their food, and my stomach didn t hurt after. 3 stars because their menu was so simple, not a lot of options. I was very confused about it. Thought I was ordering regular fluffy pancakes, but got some cornbread type pancakes. Good, but different without a warning.

I was burning time while picking up my sister from a cruise, so I decided to have an early breakfast. Below is my breakdown. I had the Eggs N-E-way, with turkey sausage. At the time if this review the price was $16.50 which is more than I like to spend. Customer Service: 100% The server was efficient and took care of me. Atmosphere: The place is fine for a breakfast spot. Its right next to a motel that didnt look very nice, but they share parking. Just dont expect Orange County level atmosphere. Food: 90%. My scrambled eggs were just fine. No complaints. The potato pancake was like a small potato burger with the texture of a hash brown. Nice and crispy on the outside, but had chunks of potato on the inside. This was the highlight of the meal and was very good. Maybe the interior couldve had less moisture, but it really was good. I need to learn how to make these at home. The turkey sausage was in link form. Honestly, it was just OK and I only had one bite. The bean came with 3 links. Each was a little hard to slice with a fork and the casing was firm enough to cause juices to squirt out. There was no char on the links (there should always be char on sausage links). At least the turkey was lean. The sourdough bread and fruit spread were excellent. The fruit spread tasted homemade. It was thin with no gelatinous characteristics. Nicely done, indeed. Would I come back? Yes, but I would skip the turkey sausage. I dont like the prices, but I complain about all restaurant prices.

When the check came she was charged for the sausage which was $6 compared to the $2 spinach option. When she asked Jose to change it he claimed that he charged her for double spinach, which was not true there wasn t that much spinach in the omelette. Also, double spinach would still only be $4. I wonder if the same thing would happen if we were not Asian and stereotyped as passive .

The Breakfast Bar to me is a one and done place. I tried it, wasnt bad, but I wouldnt go back. It was decent, better than Dennys...yes. I ordered a waffle combo with bacon and eggs. The waffle was just ok, two solid pieces of bacon, and the eggs were just eggs . The prices are a little on the high end, I figured because of location. I have no problems with paying for an amazing experience, but this wasnt it. To be honest, for a cup of coffee costing $6 is outrageous, 3 dollars the max. The staff was very friendly and my server did a great job. Try it for yourself, everyone taste buds are different.

Nice people but outrageous pricing for indifferent food. $6 for slop coffee! $16.50 for a strange impersonation of eggs Benedict, the hollandaise was flavorless runny goop that must have been made with skim milk.

After a long day of travel yesterday, reached out on Yelp to see where a locally recommended breakfast spot would be close to our hotel + The Breakfast Bar did not disappoint. The vibe was there, the food was delicious + the service was exceptional! Highly recommend if you are in the Long Beach area. We sat inside because it was still a little cool but their patio also looks like a great option. We may even be back!

Parking is tricky and there is a wait to get a table, but the wait is worth it. The atmosphere is great, the service is fantastic and the food is delicious! Got the lemon pancakes combo w/ Bacon, delish and highly recommend! Also ordered the french toast combo with a side of biscuits and gravy and the pancake combo with soyrizo. Parking: Yes, you can park in the hotel parking lot next door. Or street parking.

The staff is very friendly and are willing to help and explain anything on the menu. There is no rush when ordering. They don t swoosh you out when you are done. The food is great and simple, it is presented to you really beautifully. The coffee is great , I had a red eye and it hit the spot.

For the life of me, I cant figure out why this place is so popular. Patrons are packed in like sardines and the place is so noisy that we could not hear the conversation at our own table without shouting at each other. The food was no better than mediocre at best, at least my dish. I ordered an omelet with meat and mushrooms and it cost over $20. Now, I dont mind paying $20 for a good omelet, but this one was overcooked and terribly dry. My order came with 2 sides, which I could not eat because of allergies. But I was not offered replacement sides like fruit or cottage cheese. The server simply removed them from the order, served only the omelet, yet charged me full price. My wife said her potato patty was good. It looked like a small burger and was crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. There were 6 of us: 4 adults and 2 small children, but we only ordered 5 meals and a couple sides for the kids. The bill came to just under $185. We were charged $6 for a side of 2 slices of chewy bacon. Even the 5 year old was disappointed that they werent crispy. The 2 mimosas we ordered were weak but still cost $12 each and the drinks were overpriced: $6 for a tasteless cup of coffee and $6 per soda. Come on! We spent $50 on drinks alone. At least the nongender bathrooms were pretty clean. What a disappointment. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant and we wont be going back. There are too many choices out there to settle for mediocre. Parking: Its downtown Long Beach so we had to park a few blocks away. Wheelchair accessibility: Tables are very close together so I cannot imagine a wheelchair getting through.

This is a great breakfast place. While the menu may have fewer options than some places, the options they have will certainly meet your needs. I haveceaten here for several mornings and can say the food, coffee, and service are great and consistent. They open at 6 am, which is earlier than other places in the area. Highly recommend.

I was a fan of the BB for many years. Enjoyed the food and service. I was a regular. After Covid I noticed a shift in the vibe, prices went up and quality went down. Today, I ordered breakfast and the quality of the food was AWFUL! My shrimp was spoiled, food was cold. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. Now I get why when I recommend the BB to friends and they were not impressed. I felt bad for recommending. Now I get it. Do better people!

We searched for a nearby Breakfast restaurant and were very fortunate to find The Breakfast Bar. The food and service were great. It was interesting to see a bar serving alcohol early in the morning, but when you sell shirts that say Day Drinking, youve got a great excuse. We came in about 7 am. and beat the rush. Seems like a lot of people are boarding cruises today and there was luggage at the entry. A bit pricey but well worth it.
