This quaint spot in downtown serves great diner style food. The service was a little mediocre, and the server was not super engaging or friendly. I was impressed that she took our order of 6 people without writing anything down, and only had 1 item mistake, and 1 item missing. The food was decent, but nothing special. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with fruit instead of hashbrowns. The corned beef was typical from the can, but I like that kind so didnt bother me. What did bother me was some of my fruit was not fresh and needed to be tossed out. That tends to turn me off to places and a must get! What was the star of the meal was the stuffed French toast. I was able to sneak a couple of bites of my colleagues plate. Its absolutely amazing.

We decided to stop here after getting into Long Beach on a Friday morning, to start our weekend trip. I liked the corner location as it was easy to find. I also appreciated that this place had its own parking lot and I didn t have to rely on street parking. Upon walking from the parking lot to the entrance in the front entrance which is on the Main Street I noticed they have plenty of outdoor seating. When we (me and my girlfriend) walked inside we were instantly greeted and shown to a large booth. I ordered the D-Fib and some coffee. The coffee refills were regular but there was a stretch where the server didn t make rounds to our table for maybe 10 to 15 minutes. We had been waiting for some extra napkins that she had mentioned she would bring. Although we never received those napkins, overall service was good and friendly. The food! It was well seasoned, cooked well, and was brought out fairly quickly after ordering. I wouldn t object to eating here again if invited.

I was looking for catering in the area for an event my company was hosting and came across Potholder Cafe. Michael was quick to respond and communicated very well. Decently priced and everything was freshly made. My entire team loved the food. We had breakfast burritos, fresh fruit, sandwiches, guacamole, salsa, potatoes and even vegan/vegetarian options. If youre in the area and looking for good food and service try here.

Service 5/5. Atmosphere 5/5. You can eat with your dog on the patio! Food... 3/5. I was unimpressed and I felt like the food lacked flavor. Maybe I just showed up on a bad day, but idk. I got the chicken and waffles and wished I ordered anything but that. And thats usually my go to brunch meal. Tried my boyfriends fruity pebbles french toast... It was meh. For the price that everything was, I expected more taste.

This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Despite the diner not being busy and having 3-4 servers, we were kept waiting. The hostess avoided making eye contact with us. If you are a biracial or gay couple, I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. As someone from South Louisiana, I can confidently say that this restaurant in Long Beach provided the worst service Ive ever encountered. I will never return to Long Beach after this experience with such rude and closed-minded individuals. Im glad I didnt spend my money here.

The Hostess really tried so hard today. I told her nicely about previous experiences. She understood showed me the food, ok perfect I think. When I get home my Denver omelette tastes ok then I get weird taste what is that? I m literally trying to figure out what s in my mouth. I swallow take another bite of my potatoes, MOLD , it was in the cheese! Disgusting I spit it out I m appalled and so disappointed! I am so upset. I traveled so far to try this place. I made a trip out here to go whale watching and came to this place because of the reviews. Man... my waitress was slow...and rushed me like no other. I gave her an order and she asked for my menu and I said oh wait, I think I might change my mind, one second please. After getting her attention, I added a third entree and replaced my French toast with a waffle. She told me she already put the order in and I couldnt change the order. No attempt to even try. While I was ordering, I told her my son and I dont eat pork and had said this specifically to her when ordering. When my chicken fried steak comes out, she told me it was pork sausage in the gravy. I asked for her to take it off and she told me they dont take things off. Again, no attempt to help the situation and no apology. I gave the entree to another table. It turned out for the best because the boy didnt like the meal he ordered and enjoyed the meal I gave him. I still had to pay for it of course. Since I gave my third entree away.... I was going to order a different entree because we were going to be there for a while and I wanted food to go. The waitress came by once and asked how things were. I said not too good and she walked away. Lol. I couldnt even add apple juice to my order. Before finishing our food, she came by with the bill. She didnt ask me if I wanted anything else. Very unpleasant experience. She was not warm or friendly. I didnt want to tip her at all but I did anyway. Why tip when there are no accommodations and service is like this? Thats like me going to watch a water show and I tell my guide I do not want to get wet, and he seats me in the splash zone. If I tell you I dont eat pork and Im looking for non pork options, why not direct me to something different. Oh I know why.... she didnt know either. Be educated on the menu and listen to the customers. Lastly. I got up and the busboy took my Togo tray and put it on his trash cart. I was so upset by then. I just grabbed it and walked out. I will never ever go back here again. Good waffles but bad experience and thus socks tremendously. 75 bucks for 2 people down the drain. Thankfully whale watching later saved my long beach trip. Parking: I paid in the paid parking lot across the street. Affordable. 12 bucks for 7 hrs I was parked there.

Its a bit grumby, the food is bad truckstop fare. Do yourself a favor and dont let your local friends with questionable taste talk you into eating here more than once.

When arriving make sure your entire party is there ready to be seat or you have to wait. You run the chance of loosing your spot and wait until the next available table is open. The menu is pretty well laid out. Omelets, pancakes, waffles and breakfast combinations. Portions are well for the price. The stuffed French toast needs syrup to compliment the overall flavor of the toast. Overall it was ok. Food came out cold and we had to resend a few items back due to eggs and pancakes being a bit cold. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and Vegan options available. Just a few on the menu. Parking: Parking behind the restaurant is free but limited space. Parking structure right across the street. They do not validate. Kid-friendliness: Small kid s menu but covers the basics.
