Stylish, energetic restaurant with modern takes on Southern Italian cuisine, plus a roomy patio.
Sometimes you only go on one date with someone but something really good comes out of it. I wasn't with a date for this brunch at Ellie's, and was happy for that as all I wanted to do was focus on the food. Thanks to a past date who sent me here tho. :-) Having cooked in top restaurants around the country when I was younger, it's hard to impress me but I was definitely impressed. Had the beats and the roasted corn egg dish. Lots of interesting elements that complemented and didn't fight one another. Didn't feel too fancy either. Service staff was busy but attentive. Definitely want to go back. Pickled raisins on the beads? Yum!

Have gone for brunch twice. Wish I could do partial stars. This spot is so close to being great, taste wise. The service is awesome. Shout out Winnie the Pooh fan server! First I had the breakfast pasta, it was interesting and different but not great. Lacks a punch of flavor. Next I tried the short rib hash. Again, so close to being awesome! The meat is pull apart tender and so juicy. But tastes like they didnβt salt it. The potatoes are fine, potatoes usually arenβt particularly great (unless you season then a lot). My gf and I both asked for hot sauce and used the entire tin provided. Poached egg was slightly over done. There is not even salt on the tables. Bottomless mimosas at like $25 is a good deal tho. Nice outdoor seating. Would love to come back and try dinner!

Heard so much buzz about this place and finally had an opportunity to try it recently. It was crowded and buzzing, like a good restaurant would be back in NY.
Sadly I don't see the hype. The arancini missed the mark, though the whipped creme fraiche was delicious. There was too much stuff on top of the carpaccio you could not see it when brought to the table. The beats salad was delicious, but wouldn't be going back just for that.
The pasta was cooked perfectly, though it was too salty from the caviar and extra salt.
Perhaps it was an off night?

My first time coming here and it did not disappoint. The service and food were great. I wasnβt expecting the good morning lasagna to be that tasty so it definitely exceeded my expectations. It was creamy, cheesy, and not too much meat (so it didnβt counteract the dish itself), the egg was a new thing for me on lasagna but it definitely added to the flavor. The breakfast pasta was the best dish in my opinion. It was full of flavor and I asked to add shrimp which gave it the perfect touch. The portions donβt seem as big but trust me, it will get you leaving full and satisfied. I dined inside which was a bit cramped and there were too many flies. It is a bit pricey but Iβm glad I got to try this new place out.

This is for the private dining room for Ellie's. We went to Ginger's to celebrate a few birthdays on Thursday and I have to say, the experience was amazing. The dining room is a communal table with whoever books for the evening. I really suggest going with an even amount of people as servings are shared plates between two. And if you're looking for a quiet dinner, do not come here. That being said, I really liked the experience here because you get to really see the abilities of the chef as he served dishes not on the normal Ellie's menu. Thank you also to the chef for making a dish that my friend with dietary restrictions required. The server was top notch and really elevated the experience. I will be returning.

- Food was a little salty and wasn't hot, so they were pretty busy on a Tuesday night. The portions were small and not worth it.
- Our server was good but definitely very busy. We had to request the check several times toward the end, but other than that he provided great service throughout the meal.
- The atmosphere was nice. They have cute little electric fans and nice music.

I see the appeal of this place, but its solely visual because the food just does not hit for me. I've dined here a few times now and I always have the same experience. Meh on the flavor. It looks gorgeous and cooked well but the flavor always lacks and is missing something. My recent visit I ordered the lasagna. The sauce was SO acidic it was hard to eat. The lasagna itself was one big pile of mush. I couldn't differentiate between the layers. It all kinda just blended together into one flavor with the overly acidic tomato sauce on top. I didn't even finish or take it home. Best thing we had was the Parkers rolls. I'd go back just for the rolls.

We are visiting from Austin, Texas for a conference in Long Beach. We ate at Ellie s on a Thursday night and had a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional, our server Tuesday was a sweetheart and very professional, and the patio seating was perfect for the weather. The manager, Molly, came and spoke with us at the end of our meal to see how we enjoyed our meal. It s clear that Molly s leadership and the great team at Ellie s make this a well reviewed place. We will definitely return on future trips to SoCal!

Great food, BUT it s missing one secret ingredient that makes Italian food, well Italian food. Love. Imagine going to Nona s house and she serves you chicken Parmesan without pasta. I hate to burst your bubble, but this is unimaginable. Because a Nona serves food with love and serving food with love means your chicken Parmesan is comes with pasta. Ellie s serves amazing food just don t expect them to be overly generous with the portions. Every bite feels carefully accounted for. The shrimp pasta had 1 shrimp. That shrimp was bomb af. But one shrimp. The chicken Parmesan was served with a pasta (thank god we ordered one!). I d go again, but going to Ellie s is like a one night stand. Yeah, you get your rocks off, and it might even be really good. But you aren t expecting any cuddles after. 3 stars.

I was hopeful when I came to Ellies with a friend for her birthday, and we were so disappointed. We could not figure out why this place was so highly regarded. Their service was incredibly slow and inattentive. The food took forever to come out and wasnt very good. They charged for rolls that looked like they were bought from a grocery store and minimally modified. Their pasta was too salty and overcooked. Do not recommend. The place isn t even cute or pretty

Ellies is a phenomenal Italian joint right in the heart of LB. We were here with a large party, they accommodated us easily, the service was friendly and helpful, and the food was to die for. I strongly recommend trying Ellies if your in the neighborhood.

Food was great tasting though I wished the portions were slightly larger. We sat outside and when our table was slightly uneven the hostess quickly came to adjust the table to even it out. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere outside was lively but not loud where you can t hear your own party s conversation. Vegetarian options: They have a good variety of options for vegetarians for dinner. The waitress explained the menu (to make sure the item was vegetarian) and recommended options as well.

Went here twice; first time was great, but second time, not so much. We ordered two lasagna s and they both came out really cold on the inside and cheese wasn t even melted. I had asked the waiter for a cheeseburger, but he said they weren t available. Literally not 5 minutes later someone from the kitchen walks out with one in his hand, sees me, and turns back around. Don t know what that was about. Waiter also wasn t very welcoming, kind of seemed like we were bothering him the whole time. Probably won t be coming again. Parking: Parking is really unfortunate. Uber is best option unless you re ready to circle around for 10-20 minutes.

I arrived at 6:15 and was given a 45 min wait time on Friday, no problem. Came back at 7:15 and they said nobody had left yet. They said 30-45 more minutes, so we waited. I came back at 7:45 to check in. They said we are so sorry nobody is leaving, in another 30 min we will have a table. Come back at 8:15. Sorry we still have a party of 3 ahead of you. Meanwhile I had not seen this party in the 2.5 hours we were there. So they are apparently skipping people in the wait line and letting people sit at tables for 4 hours? How do you not have any tables open up in 3 hours? Absolutely terrible. I was so excited to try this restaurant, but 3 hour wait time after a 45 minute estimate. You guys ruined our night. If you don t have tables just tell people you re booked for the night instead of egging people on until 8:30 when we can no longer get into another restaurant. Terrible management.

This review is for Gingers. I don t really have words for how bad our experience was here: possibly just got an off night, but is that really acceptable in a reservation only fixed tasting menu experience? Look, $75 for 7 full courses (not at all tasting size) is a killer deal. I want to make that point. And the vision behind the dishes and experience is great. There was a genuine sense of potential in the air, but at every turn Ginger s fell on its face. The execution was atrocious on all levels. Host/server repeatedly interrupted the tables conversation to express his personal opinions on the topic. He poured the water from so high it splashed all over the table, between the cracks in the table and into my lap. Every single time and into every persons glass. When clearing plates he would pick up each persons cutlery from their plates and put it on the table. Which means his hands touched everyone s cutlery in succession and could absolutely have spread bodily fluids between diners. We never got fresh silverware, sometimes we didn t even get new plates between courses. Each dish had nice elements, but also there s seemed to be extremely inconsistent execution in the kitchen- some people s plates simply didn t have certain ingredients like caviar on the oysters. In other courses come people had raw ingredients (carrots) while other plates had perfect carrots. The duck was inedible and the whole table refused to eat it. I brought this up to the host and he sorta got embarrassed and said he d let the kitchen know. No apology, no offer to redo the course. Just a chuckle and nod- blaming the kitchen. Some courses had no salt, some were blisteringly salty. The mini split AC blasted freezing air directly into the table the whole night. Maybe good in July, but not pleasant in February. Also a massive wet streak of mold down the wall and wallpaper from said mini split- it has obviously been leaking for quite some time. At one point someone came in with a Bluetooth speaker, apologized profusely that there was no music, and proceeded to play extremely loud jazz. The best part of the night was the good humor and company of our fellow diners. Unfortunately we will not be back.

Great experience and the food was super flavorful and delicious. If its warm enough, Id suggest eating outside though - it was just very noisy and cramped inside. Otherwise, everything was fantastic! Well definitely be back. Dietary restrictions: They were so accommodating of food allergies (severe peanut & tree nut allergy) and gave recommendations to ensure we had a delicious (but safe) meal!

Little place on the corner that is definitely food focus forward. I had the buttered noodles and it was perfect. The lump crab and caviar was present and complementary. Some of the other items were off the mark a bit but not enough to spoil the meal. Local casual place with excellent service and good quality unique twists to Italian classics. Update Feb 24. Food was well put together and hit every mark. Will return, though an update to the menu would be welcome.

Got the grilled bread board, two pasta dishes (cavatappi was my fave) and the panna cotta with blueberry compote; all were Patio seating was wonderful, but the chairs were not as comfortable as they could be. We liked the heating lamps since the temp drops after the sun goes down. The only downside to this place is the bathroom. Its very close to diners and is only 85% fully functional. Just avoid it and youll have a great time.

For something this expensive, I was really hoping to LOVE the food. Alas, I was pretty disappointed. It started out with a service folly, we were given dirty dishes to eat our veggie with (100% forgivable, but really, a foreshadowing of the meal to come). We ordered the tempura hen of the woods and while the sauces on top were amazing, after the harsh tempura, you could hardly even tell there was any mushroom involved! A little disappointed there, but I was still hopeful for the main course. I ordered the tagliatelle with shrimp after a suggestion from the waiter & was badly disappointed in my first bite with how utterly bland it was! For a $25 dish, I was expecting a burst of flavor immediately. My partner s pesto orecchiette was sooo much better. It was absolutely delicious, but I really can t rate a restaurant well if only 1/3 of its dishes were smashing hits. If they cut their prices in half, then the food could be described as acceptable. That being said, for price, was sorely disappointed and won t be recommending this place to anyone.

We had the Burrata with pesto that comes with a few pieces of bread which the bread portion are not enough. The bread was toasty and went well with cheese. We got the seafood pasta, and the noodles were made fresh. The cream sauce was little spicy but had good taste. We also had the chicken plate and it was juicy and flavorful. Parking here can be tough. Happy Chomping Parking: It is near residential area so parking is scarce. We got lucky and found something immediately

I like Ellies. I want to like it more, but I still havent had that great experience consistently. Service is on the slow side consistently. Specifically, it is about 10 minutes before a server comes over once seated. And once we place our order, our server rarely comes back. A servers assistant will bring the food, but the server never comes back to check how things are going or even to bring the check. (This has happened 4 out of the 5 times Ive dined there). I have had tasty dishes, but often the food isnt hot and today my pasta was a little under cooked. The food temperature could be part of the slow service. I usually send it back, but today I just ate it. I like to support local businesses so Ill be back. I just want a great, not just good, overall experience and Ill update this review Vegetarian options: This comment is more about non meat options for my wife who is pescatarian. Would like to see more options.

My wife and I went with another couple for dinner last Friday and loved it! The food was delicious and you could tell the pasta was homemade and fresh. Besides entrees we only got garlic bread to start and it was amazing. For my meal, I had the Orecchiette and I am so glad I did. The pesto sauce was super rich and zesty and I added sausage which added just the right amount of kick. The rest of my party got the Chitarra Pomodoro, Gnocchi, and the Roasted Half Chicken and they all had high praise for their food, as well. The outside seating was okay, but I could see how it wouldnt be ideal depending on the temperature and time of day. They do have a small indoor area, though. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The wait for our food was no more than 15 or 20 minutes and there was no problems with any of our orders. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are very good (though you will want more because of how tasty everything is). Definitely recommend for anyone looking for delicious, fresh, homemade Italian food. We are so happy we found Ellies and look forward to coming back and trying the different items on their menu.

I had outdoor seating at Ellie s, which was two rickety two-tops pushed together. It was almost impossible to sit down, because you would either hit the person behind you with your chair or the opposite chair would go halfway into the dirt on the sidewalk. At night the large, bright lights on the side of the building came on, so needless to say the outdoor ambiance left much to be desired. However, I did go inside once to use the restroom and it was warm and cozy. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The food was certainly overpriced. Each individual scallop was $10 and tasted just okay. The bread board was a little silly $26 with a small bit of bone marrow, some goat s cheese, and some pickled veg. It was difficult to eat as well, because they do not provide individual small plates. For entrees, my party had the short rib (singular) which was a large portion, albeit a bit too salty. The richness and salt of the rib and mushrooms should have been cut with a starch like potato or a bread accompaniment. The other dishes we ordered were the farfalle and the oriechette, both of which were excellent. I am shockingly one of the few people that does not care for pasta, but I found them both to be delicious and well-balanced in flavour. Overall, Ellie s falls squarely into the middle of the road. I think for a cozy date for two, inside, with pasta and wine would be ideal, but for a group outdoors it wasn t stellar.

Wow! This was our first dinner date night in awhile. Ellies was on my list for long time and I was not disappointed. We loved everything we ordered. The bread board and Brussels were a great start. The delicious Brussels were made a way Ive never had before. Each homemade pasta sounded delicious and cant wait to go back and try them all. We had the gnocchi and tagliatelle which I would have a hard time not ordering the exact same thing again when we visit next time. We skipped dessert bc we were stuffed. Because food always comes first for me, I will mention the atmosphere next. I was able to get a same day reservation and sat outside. Which was lovely and the heaters kept us perfectly comfortable. The service was really great; you could tell everyone really loves the food they are serving. The only downfall is the horrible parking. There is no restaurant parking and you should get there 15-20 mins early to find a spot. We will be back!

Had a late brunch here (I was told they serve breakfast until 2pm by a friend but I didn t clarify at the restaurant). Food: 10/10 I had the veggie scramble but I told them I couldn t have dairy (which was basically everything on the menu) and the server was very understanding and had the chef had extra veggies and made it dairy free. It was so good! There was a small bed of fresh greens with some type of dressing that was slightly over salted. Ambience: 9/10 It was a cute and quaint little restaurant. We sat outside and from where I could see it didn t appear to have much seating indoors but enough to serve several customers. I watched a man let his dog sit on the seat cover that he placed on the ground and no one said anything to him, so it made me realize I shouldn t wear any nice pants there because you can t trust the seat cushions. but it s nice that they re dog friendly. Service: 9/10 The server was phenomenal and did a great job. The only problem was he disappeared a couple times and we had to get up and go inside to ask for the things we needed. I appreciated him a lot for making my dining experience something to remember! (Other than that he was amazing!! Honestly I think they had close to a full house and maybe wasn t staffed appropriately for it) Overall I had a great time! I may not come back much due to their menu being oversaturated with dairy (trust me I wish I could indulge in cheese and milk), but since they don t mind substituting things it could be brunch every so often.

We came to Ellies for our engagement celebration and it would be a lie to say I was very surprised. I heard only very good things about this restaurant and I had high hopes. My expectations were met and exceeded! And I did lie a little, I was surprised by how fresh the concept was. The space is small, light, and intimate. The food was equally the same; even though we left very full. Most Italian places here, there is often a feeling of heaviness in the decor, heaviness in the food, and heaviness in the concept. Ellies hit different. There was a lightness to all aspects of the experience. While it was very Italian, it was very Californian too. And i loved that. We started off with a breadboard with sourdough. It was a great alternative to garlic bread, which you can definitely find here. The bread board was scattered with awesome butters and tangy bites. We then split the melon and shrimp salad which was spicy, creamy, sweet, and had an amazing bite to it. It was my second favorite dish by far. We also split the Brussel sprouts, which my fiance absolutely loved. I liked the sausage they tossed it in. Then we got to the special of the night, the pork belly and polenta. Absolutely phenomenal. I was taken back to Californian roots with spicyness in the corn. Absolutely amazing dish. The pasta had the right bite, and while amazing, it was hard to follow up the star protein. They are known for the pasta, and im excited to try more of them when I definitely come back! As an engagement surprise we were gifted two scallops Mid meal which absolutely cut the meal in half and was an excellent, And tasty cleanser before moving to the heavier parts of the meal. This restaurant shot up to my top 5 restaurants in long beach very fast only after Sura, Little Coyote, and Amatolli. Absolutely amazing experience in every respect. Thank you for a memorable dinner on such a special occasion.

Overall, Ellies is a fantastic place to eat... unless you have dietary restrictions. If you dont have dietary restrictions, you should absolutely enjoy their food. You wont be disappointed. That said... so, I ordered the kale salad without the brown butter vinaigrette, and for some reason, it came out more than ten minutes later than my partners standard Caesar salad. I also ordered the farfalle, and the first waiter had told me it was dairy free so long as I didnt get the cheese. Ok, easy choice, just dont get the cheese. When the farfalle came out a few minutes after my partners pomodoro, it was covered in cheese, so I sent it back. I actually feel very lucky that this happened, because a more senior member of the wait staff came over and let me know that the farfalle has a butter sauce for its base, which the first waiter was apparently unaware of. If I had eaten that dish without the cheese, I would have been feeling ill pretty quickly. At this point, I just asked for the check and a box for the pomodoro. The staff comped the bottle of wine that my partner and I shared. Because of that and how good the food is, Im still giving Ellies 4 stars. Ill probably try them one more time, but if they cant accommodate a fairly common dietary restriction, I wont be going back. Either way, Ill still recommend the place to people who can eat whatever. Dietary restrictions: Tread carefully.

This review is for the brunch. Based on other reviews, it looks like my stars would ve been higher if I came for dinner. The photos online look a lot better than they do in person. When we sat down, we ordered T because they didn t have much coffee options. Basically, the only option they had was black coffee. It was a bit disappointing that there was not more options for a drink menu. That is non-alcoholic. We order the bread board, the Benedict, and the short rib hash. Unfortunately, when we asked for our sauce on the side for the short rib hash, they basically brought the entire dish on the side. Meaning that they only brought us the meat and everything else they did not bring. The issue in the place is not so much the presentation - which could be improved - but the actual quality of the food. The only thing we found in abundance was salt. Otherwise, food lacking in taste. But the flies loved it!

-Front desk personnel was nice (and quick) when I came by and asked for a to-go menu. -$23 on the menu for a single slice of lasagna says it all...no thanks. -And breakfast: cheapest option is $12 for 2 eggs, a piece of bacon, and a piece of toast...no thanks (for a basic, tiny breakfast; that would be about $16 after taxes and a basic tip). -I know inflation and the economy are bad right now, but come on! Wont be eating here based off of this expensive menu.

The food was good, but unfortunately I will never go back there, only a child would eat the portion I got, the Tagiatelle I ordered was supposed to contain shrimp and they were, but only in trace amounts, and this price .... to much for this portion ... :(

The tagliatelle and spring root salad were good. Shrimp melon salad is so so. Eating gnocchi was like eating tteokbokki haha. Do you feel like all food is spicy? On the last day of the trip, I wanted to go again and have lunch. Its a shame I couldnt go one more time because it opens at 4 oclock.

I have driven by this restaurant many times and had the opportunity to finally eat there. Service was good but the food is over priced. Ravioli was soaking in butter and oil. Very disappointing and will not stop by again. Eatalian is so much better.

Important FYI! There will be ONE plate to share for the reservation at gingers. We made a res for two for dinner and shared one plate for all the courses and still paid $85pp? Not really worth it. Service was great though

Outstanding restaurant. Everything we ordered was well crafted, an excellent mix of flavors. I did think some of the basic wine was a little underwhelming and overpriced, though. Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options, all of which are excellent. Watch out for meat in the vegetable dishes. Vegan options are few to none. Parking: Its possible to get lucky and find parking nearby but dont plan on it.

Amazing food, knowledgeable service, hank you for accomodating my family when it was raining I recommend the chefs specials, because theyre always bomb AF! Hard to pronounce and remember, but I bet youll be tempted to even order another one! Thanks a million to my One Piece lover, Evelyn! Youll definitely be seeing us again

We had a big party reservation for the patio but it was raining. The manager Evenlyn was kind enough to put us in their private dining room in the back and even let us play our own music. The room was beautiful and absolutely perfect. We basically ordered every appetizer on the menu and each time I was BLOWN away! The food was just amazing ! The chef even brought out a complimentary appetizer for us. The service from the chef and manager Evelyn was just above and beyond. We didn t feel ignored at all being in the private room. She made sure we were taken cared of. I just can t get over the food I m definitely telling all my friends about it. If you re thinking about dinner here go for it you won t regret!

Solid service. We came with a big group. My favorite where the appetizers and I highly recommend all of them but one of the pasta dishes was a little bit too early for me but still tasted good. My own pasta dish that I got was incredible.

So, so good. We lucked out on parking and found a spot right in front. We had our dog, so we sat outside. They have heaters, and we were fine even in December. We started with garnet yam and winter roots. Both bursting with flavors and textures. Then we shared the kale salad and the gnocchi with pork ragu. Hands down the best kale salad Ive ever tasted. So much going on. Every bite was an adventure. The gnocchi are a little large for me. But, even so, they were light and delicious. The ragu is meaty and deeply flavorful. I will return again and again.

It is a good idea to call ahead for reservations as they do get packed. It s a very small facility, the outdoor seating is nice but if you are a local you know that s where all the homeless parkour when the restaurant is closed and they have been known to urinate all over the patio as well as trash it completely so so keep that in mind, also it s a neighborhood setting so people watching can be entertaining as 711 is across the street but if you are here on a date the inside is much nicer although can feel extremely tight. The menu is simple with appetizers, veggie/salad options pasta and dinner courses and they do have brunch but I would recommend avoiding that as it seems chaotic. The food was yummy, although the fresh made pasta dish I ordered reminded me of an udon noodle used with Italian ingredients, they claim the pasta is made fresh and it did taste fresh but if you are familiar with Hmart you can get the same fresh noodles there. My concern was I asked for all beef meatballs since I do not eat pork and my plate was served with meatballs, luckily my husband does not have food restrictions so he ate them and noted that 2 tasted like all beef while one was definitely aid of beef and pork with the traditional spices. The short rib dish was yummy and the pasta itself was good. The staff keep themselves busy chatting with each other. By the time one came to check how we were doing it was too late to say anything about the meatballs I couldn t have and again I am lucky my husband has no food restrictions. Honestly this little establishment could do much better in an area that is better suited for the amount of guests they have. Their is street parking but that can be tricky as this neighborhood is already very cramped and finding parking can be a hastle. Lastly My issue is they never trim their plants that are now taller then the stop signs; this is going to cause an accident inevitably, prior to them moving into the neighborhood we didn t have this problem yet they haven t done any maintenance on the plants, even though they should be trimmed down so the stop sign is visible.

Nice atmosphere and kind servers. Just moved across the street and had been wabting to try it Tagleiatelle was very oily and the acid balance was off way to acidic, but the quality of the pasta was great. Once you eat you are left with a bowl of oil. Definitely wouldnt get that again. Probaly wouldnt come back. But thanks for having me.

The staff were very nice, I cant just give a good review because of the staff. For $30 you get a small portion of food, the majority of the sauce is oil. Im pretty sure I got food poisoning because after I was done eating I got nauseous, and then woke up in the middle of the night with horrible stomach pain and eventually threw up whatever was left in my system. I will definitely not be coming back here.

There was no AC and it was unbearable - about 10 degrees hotter inside than outside on their patio. No fans were on (except fly fans on every table because the flies were unbearable). Water didnt even have ice in it - it was so miserable we had to ask for our entrees to be boxed to go.

Such a solid place, I know what good Italian food should taste like. This is it. There s not one dish that I ve had that I didn t like. Care and application goes into the menu. They rotate seasonal ingredients, insuring everything is as fresh and thoughtful as possible. This is real Italian.

We ate here on vacation from Portland. We didn t have a reservation, but the hostess was spot on with the wait time. The food was so good for no reason. So so so good ! Can t wait to come back just to eat here again !

Was really looking forward to liking this place after hearing all the hype and considering that the last restaurant at this location (At Last Cafe) was absolutely amazing. But it completely fell short. Both entrees - the tagliatelle and the farfalle, were terribly OVERSALTED and ruined the flavor of both dishes. I mean my bf is Italian and was completely disappointed . The only positives were the wine list and the burrata appetizer. Service was good too. The location is what it is, so if you dont live nearby, Uber. Id like to give Ellies a second chance considering its in my neighborhood, but the food is definitely overpriced for the quality recieved. -In search of quality Italian food because its not here.

We ordered three other pasta plates and all were amazing. Only took a snap of the tuna since we were starving. Vegetarian options: Great veggie options Parking: Its Long Beach... good luck

There s not much else to say, service was good, ambiance is very vibey with a cool street view of broadway and palm trees. You can tell the chefs know exactly what they re doing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Fabulous hidden gem. Lovely staff and AMAZING CHEF. Service was good but our waiter forgot to put in our desert order mid meal. It takes 20 min to make and so we opted out. It was a disappointment. Otherwise great food. I had the lasagna which us enough for at least 2 people to share. We also ordered the loin of lamb and another pasta dish which was a bit salty. Order the bread board! It is extraordinary. Caviar butter, pork butter and an assortment of snax and delicacies. Definitely a five star expirience but the missed desert forced 4 stars. Will I return? Absolutely. Parking: It can be a challenge.

Gingers (the chefs special table) is good, but probably not worth the value. Gingers is the side room of Ellie s that has a tasting menu. I went with friends and the value of the service and experience was sub par for the price compared to similar dining experiences. The main issue is that 4 people are expected to split each course family style, which can prove awkward for couples. While the vibes in Gingers were nice, I don t think it s worth the price tag. That all said, I ve been to Ellie s before and it s amazing, would recommend!
