I had just returned to the US from a work trip in Italy. I wanted to see if I could find pasta with similar quality and taste as in Italy here in the US. I was recommended this place, so I went to try it. This restaurant might be the closest I could find to the pasta back in Italy. The pasta is very fresh, and the sauces were very flavorful. The service was great as well. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options

This Italian restaurant has many options to choose from. I chose to do the create your own pasta dish and ordered the vegetarian ravioli with ricotta cheese and spinach covered in a marinara sauce and I added two meatballs for good luck. My daughter had the fetichini bolognese (meat sauce). All was delish and the outdoor ambiance and view was beautiful right by the marina. Parking is ample as its in a mall setting. Its a casual food place with higher quality food. Oh amd many drink options as well. And the customer service was excellent. The gentleman that took our order gave us great suggestions since it was our first time here. We enjoyed our lunch tremendously and will absolutely be returning. You are looking at approx $25 a person on an average and was worth it. Enjoy! Parking: We parked in the mall area which is normally for paid parking but the first 90 minutes is free so if youre going there to eat you wont end up paying parking if you limit your meal to an hour and a half. And it also has a Whole Foods nearby so you could actually do your grocery shopping at the same time. Wheelchair accessibility: This location is wheelchair accessible as it is on the ground floor and the tables and chairs can be moved around for space.

I cannot express how blown away I was by this place! You build your own pasta and no matter what combination of pasta/sauce we had, we couldnt get enough of this amazing food (I literally went back for a 2nd bowl). I had their tortellini with salsa parmigiana sauce as well as their rigatoni butternut squash special. Even their sides and desserts were so incredible from the flatbread to the panna cotta. Juan the manager was fantastic and checked on us multiple times throughout the evening. Definitely will be coming back!

Super unique type of lasagna I hadn t ever had before instead of having a ricotta layer it s more of a pastry type filling that s really tasty and changes the whole flavor profile in a very yummy way so I highly recommend checking this place out. Owner was super friendly loved chatting with him.

The pasta was cooked perfectly, al dente, and the bolognese sauce was indeed authentic in that it was not drenched in garlic like most American Italian food. The flavor of the sauce was subtle and savory, just like I have had in Italy. Prices fair, portions generous but not excessive. Even though it is a casual order-at-the-counter place, an employee came to my table to ask if I was enjoying the meal. The manager Juan was cheerful and friendly. Two thumbs up on this place, I want to try the meatballs next.

Authentic Italian restaurant with homemade pasta and bread. The manager, Alex, is a wonderful guy with great passion about the quality of his products and plates. They have some rare-to-find plates on the menu and their pasta is truly delicious. The bread is fantastic as well as the focaccia. Finally, their mini donuts (bomboloni) are sooooo delicious. Go there. Didnt miss it.

Casual pasteria place with house made pasta. Tried the pesto, cacio pepe and bolognese. Pesto was the best out of the three; the bolognese with the meatball was very average, nothing special; but the cacio pepe was horrifyingly salty. It tasted like there was sea water or chef accidentally spilled salt. Kitchen was kind enough to make me a different dish but explained that it was naturally a salty dish. having had plenty cacio de pepe, this was the saltiest pasta I ve ever had. Price was a bit high for it being simple, average portioned, and homemade. No appetizer or side dish. Very simple pasta you can make at home. Paid parking or free for a limited time. Hard to find as it s in the back of the shopping center. Service was good and place looked clean. Outdoor patio with a view to the parking lot but past it is the beach. Won t visit again and would not recommend.

I was born and raised in Italy, and even if Ive lived here for more than three decades, sometimes I miss my native countrys food. Here in SoCal, your typical options are: 1. The Olive Garden and similar chain restaurants and 2. Expensive Italian restaurant. Option #1 isnt authentic Italian food, and, personally, I detest it. Option #2 can be very authentic (but theres no guarantee if you dont know real Italian food), but its typically very pricey. To me, its ridiculous to fork out $100 just to eat what my mom made me for dinner. The Italian Homemade Company is the perfect middle ground. Its a casual restaurant, the prices are reasonable, but the food is authentic and delicious (yes, it is owned by Italians). They make their own fresh pasta, tortellini, ravioli, lasagne, etc. And the sauces are 100% authentic. Ah, finally true Italian home cuisine! Besides the noodles, this place serves piadina and cassone, which are flat bread sandwiches from the Emilia-Romagna region. And theyre also authentic and delicious. Finally, they have a Tiramisu to die for, made with real Mascarpone cheese and not with cheap cream cheese, like in many so-called Italian restaurants in America.

Great location, but food doesnt equal it. Marinara sauce was watery and bland, like it came from a jar. And extra $ for a tiny side of it too. Flatbread piadina is super dry, and tasteless. And prices are too high for what u get. No wonder its the most empty restaurant in the whole shopping center.

This place has great home made style pasta. Its a simple menu. Choose your pasta, choose your sauce and any extras. Their meat sauce is really good, plenty of meat and its meaty flavor satisfied this carnivore. Prices are not bad and the simplicity makes it one of my favorites. But when it comes to pasta everyone has a different taste. But I would say give it a try, I think its definitely worth it. They do have lasagna and the portion is massive, so when you look at the price just know you do get a good size portion, enough to share.

I came here with my girl and was blown away by the quality. The food definitely tastes home made. The kitchen is open and near the dining tables so you can see the chefs make the pasta and cook the food. This place really set a high bar for my quality of pasta. The gnocchi were like soft pillows and the tortellini were so well made. Its really cool how you can pair different types of pastas with sauces so you can mix combinations for your liking. The vegan salad that we got also tasted very fresh and crispy. Due to the customization of pasta to sauces, I can see myself coming here more often

Nothing wrong with this place. Interesting concept. I dont think of pasta or lasagna as lunch items (and just to be clear, my daughter had pasta and I had the classic panini type thing which is lunchy and was awesome), but the informal space and walk-up order station kinda exudes that lunch time place vibe. Dont get me wrong, the food was delicious, but Im not sure this fits date night niche, the family dinner sit down go-to, etc. Maybe its me. The food is restaurant / the setting is high-end deli. Either way, give it a shot.

This restaurant is the epitome of creating success based on a focused menu executed well, as opposed to a broad menu of options done to adequate quality. The arugula and burrata salad was incredibly fresh, flavors were bright, and everything done in balance. Its a simple salad executed perfectly. Tagliatelle with Bolognese and 2 meatballs was nearly perfect as well. The fresh-made noodles had the perfect al dente chew and enough rough texture to grab the sauce. Unfortunately the sauce, while certainly scratch-made tasty, was significantly over-salted, and the fats had separated into a an oily pool at the bottom of the plate. It was as if the sauce was missing any binder ingredients. Inside was clean and tastefully decorated, and I appreciated the open prep and kitchen areas. Service was extremely friendly. Im excited to give the place another try to see if a different order keeps the salt a little more under control. Generally speaking, I highly recommend The Italian Homemade for a quality, reasonably-priced meal.

This place was absolutely delicious. I was surprised about how affordable this place was and the quality of the chain. My family and I had Gnocchi w/ marinara tomato sauce, garlic, basil. Along w/ Pannacotta w/ Mixed berries. Customer service is good as well the very sweet and give really good recommendations if you ask. My family and I will definitely be coming back here again.

Real congratulations to the guys who started this business and who manage it with passion and staying on site! Fresh and quality food. Italian for the portions and the taste. Served in soup plates as per tradition. BON APPETITION ps: you can buy the same pasta only in the frozen version to cook at home.. a piece of Italy at home perfect I would say

Cassone verde was burnt. The taste is awful. Eating burnt food is unhealthy.

Walked in to eat and were met by two dogs inside. A woman was holding and petty her dogs stomach right over the counter. These were not service dogs and should not be allowed inside. Wont go back.

Really good sandwiches from here. Proportions are on the small side and that left me wanting more but the price was a bit too steep for a second sandwich. But thats a price paid for quality

I ordered takeout, so I can t comment on the dine-in experience. I got the vegetarian ravioli with pesto and the burrata salad. The pasta was very good. Ravioli can get kind of mushy if you get it from the wrong place, but this pasta has a nice bite and chew to it. Filling was decent, not under salted. I liked the pesto, and I appreciated that it wasn t pine nut heavy. I hate it when I get a pesto and all I can taste is pine nuts. The burrata salad was not just not good. I have a feeling that the cheese was not fresh because it was beginning to taste sour, like old milk. Couldn t eat it, which is disappointing because it was a waste of $13. Needless to say, would NOT buy that again. My rating is mostly based on the pasta, which I would get again.

I dont know whatever happened with the other review I made but I will share in a nutshell. Food quality 4 out of 10. I am not a great cook, but this pasta and the meat werent at par with a restaurants. No parmigiano, no bread. The meat i can tell wasnt good.i left more than half the plate. Sauce flavor ok. Price in relation to quality, 4 out of 10 Service 3 out of 10. I had to stand twice to get basic things that were missing or inquire about the food I was getting. Nice ambiance but really just more hoop-la than actual quality.

Definitely worth a try, but not a place Id go to again. Although its not a full dine in restaurant, the service was good. Ive been to italian restaurants where they make fresh noodles before. You can choose the type of pasta and type of sauce, but the options are limited. As a group we got Pesto, creamy, bolognese, etc. Pastas. Everything was very dry and chewy, especially bolognese and Pesto.
