Gu Ramen is just a perfect neighborhood ramen spot. Delicious food, fantastic staff and a great welcoming vibe. The restaurant is set up to be comfy for groups, dates and folks on their own. Ive been coming here for years and the quality has never wavered. The only thing I wish is they would bring back the 50% off toppings happy hour. I miss it.

IYKYK it s Ramen weather While I typically enjoy Gardena for the amazing pho and ramen offerings; I decided to give my local ramen restaurant a try! The service was friendly and the waiters were attentive, the ambiance was nice, kinda had a sports bar grill feel. Parking was not far from the restaurant which was a plus. I ordered two appetizers and ramen which is customizable. The appetizers were duds in my opinion: firecracker shrimp and corn cheese. Both dishes were underwhelming and uninspired. But the ramen was delicious!! The serving is for two ppl, so you can share if you want. I would come back for the ramen only.

Me & the wifey wanted to randomly select a ramen spot we had both not checked out to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. A pretty good choice for the tastes were on point and quite delicious for our Ramen cravings. Wifey got their Signature Tonkatsu Ramen with wood ear mushroom, corn and a side of garlic butter for the both of us to share. I got the same thing without the fungus among us and corn. However I got it spicy and boy let me tell you it was quite spicy, Got me perspiring and gasping. Dont get me wrong it was well worth it for the flavor taste buds kicked in overdrive and lead me into pure Ramen joy. I had to eat the Ramen at a slow pace which gave me time to enjoy every slurp and chew. If you love spicy like I do, go ahead and get it spicy. If this level of spicy was hot, I dont wanna know what the Super spicy level is all about. Oh yeah we did get an order of their Lolipop chicken which was really crispy and delightful. Not quite the Karaage as it may seem. Traditional Karaage has more ginger kick than this one, however its still a great appetizer which comes with a nice spicy plum sauce for dipping and a small mini spring salad. Service was decent, the restaurant was clean and organized. Im not quite sure if Id come back to this one, however it was a pleasant surprise and I enjoyed being out with my wife.

I go to this Ramen spot for the poke bowl. Had the poke rice bowl this time around, but they also have it available with salad. The teriyaki and mayo sauce can be heavy, so if this isnt your jam, have it with the salad. Honorable mentions are the lollipop chicken and calamari. The lollipop chicken are cute, fun, and delicious deep fried little drumettes. Calamari can also be heavy and leave your mouth with a greasy feel, but the batter is light and crispy. Parking here is def a b*tch. I walk here from work, but if driving, park at the City Place parking structure and walk over. Complementary parking for at least two hours. No validation needed.

Unlike what I perceive to be more traditional ramen places either better quality food. This spot left me wanting more and very disappointed. After being told it wasn t good I wanted to give it a try cause I really wanted Ramen. How bad could it be? No condiments, No Flavored marinated Egg, and lack luster Chashu Pork. Their service seemed rushed. The Extras were at an expensive premium. And didn t even taste good. Just don t recommend this spot. Go to Donburi instead, it s around the corner.

Unfortunately they are the closest ramen spot, so I have come here on a few occasions with a craving, and the food is pretty good, but the service is consistently lacking. Its usually in the attitude of the servers acting like they are bothered by you wanting to order and then give snarky remarks back if you allude to them ignoring you.... Ramen Hub it is

This is a unique little ramen shop. The food is pretty good and I would recommend the lollipop chicken the most. The ramen itself is good but I felt like the base level ramen broth was a little bland. They have a ton of upgrades for a price which is nice but still you should include things like egg in it like they traditionally do. They are not stingy with the chashu and I would say that it is some of the best Ive had in this town. The staff looked a bit annoyed and disinterested which was odd. Im not placing one experience as a constant state of a business. Maybe they had a rough day, things happen and Im not irritated by this, just thought it was odd. Id still like to go back and try some other appetizers. The sitting area is limited so big parties might not be the best idea unless you come in during a slow time.

These were really great crab wontons or rangoons whatever! Nice flavorful crispiness. I would have really preferred to dip into the same sweet and sour sauce that was drizzled on top instead of the water spicy mayo so will request that change if there is a future visit. I have a sore throat so didn t want any spice in my ramen. Overall good but think the sauce was on the more bland side compared to say Jinya. Probably more flavor as spice levels increase. The soft boiled egg was done perfectly. Overall enjoyed my meal

Great spot on a rainy cloudy day. Or any day I m sure. Right in down town. Nice dining area. Has a bar area as well. The ramen I ordered was delicious. Great quality and price. Plenty of people there all had one thing on their mind like we did. Ramen. They have many options and you can build your own. They have happy hour specials but hours vary. They close at 2:30 and reopen at five so make sure you catch them before or after.

The actual broth of the ramen and the mix ins are bomb dot com. My only complaint is the meat options. It s only ground pork, which was very meh, or lollipop chicken, which seemed annoying to eat in the soup. But the noodles and flavors were on point so I d definitely be back! Maybe will just go for tofu next time

Best ramen in Long Beach! Noodles were cooked perfectly, broth was super flavorful, and the meat is tender. Nice quiet atmosphere with good throwback music. Service was excellent. Parking is terrible but I always walk here so I won t take off a star, definitely recommend taking an Uber though. Restaurant is next to a very noisy bar which is intimidating on the outside but once you walk in it s very pleasant and you can t hear anything going on next door. Good beer and wine selection, excellent tapas, and amazingly priced. Ramen is also very customizable. Vegetarian options: Many dishes don t have meat Wheelchair accessibility: On the ground floor, even flooring

The 3 stars isnt necessarily a negative. Ive had lots of ramen in LA. Gu gets a 7 out of 10 from me. This was my first time dining here so will try something different next time. The choices of proteins and topping is plentiful and yummy. Broth need a little more flavor. There are lots of different and interesting appetizer choices. We got the chicken lollipops. I do recommend trying Gu is you like ramen.

Tonkotsu ramen is my favorite type of ramen. The broth is very good. The spicy sharpness was also just right. I only deducted one star because the egg was a normal boiled egg and not a tomago egg. I also missed the nori seaweed. But thats a matter of taste and if you dont know the two ingredients, you wont miss it either... The soup was very tasty and I would order the ramen again...

Ramen was ok for me. I had better one elsewhere. I do like that I can just pick and choose what I want in the ramen. I added pork belly, corn, and egg. They dont make the egg like the usual ramen egg, its just regular boiled egg so that was a bit dissappointing. The interior looked like it used to be a bar place now turn into this ramen place so that was interesting. It was pretty filled though!

I love this place I come here with my husband all the time. The staff pretty much recognize us when we walk in haha.

I was a bit disappointed in this ramen place. I had high hopes since I live so close by. I ordered the typical ramen, no spicy, and a few add ins (which are usually normal includes for other ramen places, but pay extra here). The ramen was quite tasteless, even when adding spices/garlic oil. I had the chicken as my protein; also was pretty bland. I feel microwaveable ramen has more flavor. The service was good, but I would hope so since there were only 3 other people in the whole place. Both servers were on their phones multiple times, it was slow so meh, that didn t really have anything to do with my rating. Inappropriate music/music videos playing on the tvs, so I wouldn t recommend children. Overall, I won t be back, sadly. If you re looking for good ramen, somewhere in Irvine is probably a better option.

Really great food and beer, cant go wrong with ramen. I also recommend their wontons on their tapas menu really good starter before the ramen comes out Service is great here. Parking is not so bad since theres public parking around the block.

Everything I have had here was just wonderful...a flavor explosion! The ramen is perfect comfort food. Ideal for when its a little chilly or you are feeling a little down! Its a perfect pick me up. The fried green beans are beyond description...THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Happy hour M-F 3-7pm The owner/chef and staff are super friendly. They also have PINEAPPLE HARD CIDER (which is hard to find and delicious) I highly recommend them!
