I wanted a cookie and left with disappointment

I discovered lazy acres several months ago. If you have not been here, they’re Belgian chocolate chip cookies are to die for. A few months ago, I learned that there was a new addition; peanut butter cookies. Lazy acres is a natural market with amazing fresh food And, well, the best cookies I have ever had, ever! The problem: service seems to be declining overtime

I was in the area today and honestly, found myself driving into the parking lot with no other need but to pick up a couple of cookies. I actually recall seeing that it was 722 when I entered the store; it’s now 745 and I just got back to my car, sadly without any cookies

When I got to the bakery counter, there was no one around. I waited patiently for a bit, wandering around the bakery, looking for other treats. After a number of minutes, I asked a clerk in another department for some assistance; I was told I needed to wait for a few minutes and they would be right with me. Several minutes later, no one at the bakery counter, I began to wander around and look at other treats in the bakery department, but after our period of time got discouraged and just left. I recall, waiting quite a while last time; this time I’m just lost my patience; perhaps I don’t need the calories anyway.

As I wandered out and looked at my watch again, I realized I just spent 20 minutes waiting for a couple of cookies, and no one around to help. Seems like there was a lot more support staff around when the store first opened several months ago, and they hooked everyone on the cookies. Now as they’ve been around for a while, service seems to have declined. It’s too bad, really, but such as the case with so many stores.

I love this place! The sushi burritos and spicy tuna crunchy rice are my favs!

While browsing my first time around, a regular suggested I try their breakfast burrito, literally 10/10🔥🔥🔥. I crave them often! They also serve other hot breakfast or take home items and lunch/dinner that are ready made.

They have fresh juices and well as a separate juice and smoothie cafe.

Your options are limitless here and you’re sure to find what you need at best quality.

Great food and great products! It's a bit on the pricey end but worth it to satisfy all the cravings you didn't know you had. Go for a quick lunch at the ample food counters, or for a selection of some of the best produce you will find almost anywhere. Don't forget to pick up a "The Cookie" hot and fresh before you leave the store!

If you’re in Long Beach and hungry, stop by Lazy Acres. They have a fantastic food court and bakery with so many options. It’s hard to decide. There’s something for everyone.

I decided on the Mary’s chicken thighs, gravy and potatoes. Delicious!

The cashier raved about the zucchini bread so I had to grab a loaf.

Ashwagandha Latte- tried for the first time. This is my favorite adoptogen to help relieve stress. So good and soothing. I substituted milk with almond milk. I’ll add in some stevia next time. It was a tad bitter but I still liked it.

I have to give this place a solid 4. My wife went there and purchased dinner for us. I must admit that the Poke Bowl is fantastic. We also got some ready to eat items that was good as well. My grandson really liked it. I will go and write another review about the entire store. If you like Poke, please check this place out.

Okay my fellow foodies. As I promised, I personally went to the store to see the daily operation of the store. This place is AWESOME! Juice bar, check! Cheeses, check, Salad Bar, Check. Everything in this store is on-point. The freshest produce, fruits and hard to find items. A very beautiful and well designed place. I went bonkers and spent $500.00 in the store. Glad I don't live nearby because I would be there everyday. Did I mention that there is a self-serve fresh orange juice machine. Yes, Yes, Yes. It might be a bit expensive but you get your money worth.

Overpriced market. I go often but rarely buy anything. Once I did buy a muffin and it tasted like artificially flavored Walmart muffins. I messaged corporate about this and never got a response. I will still go and walk around but shopping will always be minimal. Ill stick to Sprouts and TJs for my big purchases.

Expensive Store with some ok but also some bad overpriced products. Bought some Salami went bad after 2 days. Self check out ask you to slide card even all card now require you to use chip. Chip payment hard to reach. Outside only tesla chargers you cant charge 60% cars. How can such expensive store be so badly organized?? You get next door at TJ you get high quality at better price !

Parking is now an issue - EV charging stations have been installed and eliminating a number of limited store parking spaces. No longer has roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy available everyday at the self-serve hot deli. Major disappointment! Tuesday is senior discount day! The hot self-serve & salad bars are back but not the Taco Tuesday choices. Now only going once a month.

So I bought chips last week and just opened it. I wondered why it was stale. I looked at the back and realized its a month past its best before date! Why is this still even on the shelf? Is it okay to sell expired food? I know I wont die from eating it but this shouldnt be happening for such an upscale supermarket. Ive also been overcharged for items that shouldve been on sale. Check expirations of your food and receipts before leaving the store.

This place is ridiculous. Charge the most and give you the worst customer service imaginable. I have NEVER been asked if I needed any help in the HABA area. The two employees would rather chat when it was obvious I was not finding what I was looking for. This haas happened several times. Next, is the hot food area. Standing around waiting to get a lunch platter and NOT Acknowledged for the entire time I was standing there. I left and you lost $30.

This is one of my favorite places in Long Beach! I visited recently after having not gone in many moons. Theyve done a complete remodel and boy is it nice. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming - I felt healthy just walking in the door. LOL. Its clean as a whistle, large selection, and an AMAZING hot food bar, where my friend and I had a nice mix of dishes. The bar was clean, the food was fresh. Lots of things presented beautifully - chicken, Italian food, Mediterranean, Asian, pasta, etc. Prices are pretty reasonable, too, considering that they compete with Whole Foods. Theres outdoor seating, and theyve expanded the indoor seating as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. For a long time I wondered how long Lazy Acres would last after being Bristol Farms. Looks like theyre really thriving. Highly recommend!

Best local organic grocer, has a juice bar they make smoothies, Wheatgrass, self serve fresh squeeze orange juice machine. Kids love this machine, deli has a variety of meats, prepared salads, sandwich station, delicious vegan sweet treats at the bakery. The store is very nice and clean. It is pricey but everyone is very polite except the bakery. Ive been there 4 times and it seems like the people in the bakery are very annoyed by the customers and do not want to assist them. Trust me, I would rather get the dessert myself than to deal with their attitudes. One girl specifically thats tall, thin, with blonde hair pretends like she doesnt see you and will leave the bakery on purpose ,although I have encountered others that will keep you waiting and refuse to acknowledge you. Other than that I like the store, they just need better people working their bakery department

Super high-end grocery store ($$$) with untrained, unprofessional staff. The two little girls staffing my checkout lane were chattering and nattering to each other the whole while, about particularly appetizing subjects such as all their & their families health issues. Neither of them greeted me or looked at me; the first words the cashier addressed to me were in re the total for my order. At the end she finally offered a fake smile and an equally fake Have a nice day. Who goes out of their way to patronize an expensive store just to hear all about Auntie Tessies GURD? If youre looking for a decent customer experience with staff who realize theyre being paid to do a job, better to go with Ralphs or Vons.

This place was a favorite of mine for years, but they have lost everything I liked about it. The changes happened slowly at first, and then they accelerated, and the charm is now completely gone. The quality isn t what it used to be- example the Last time I bought shrimp it was foul - the personal touches on their customer service are gone, and now they have a creepy security guard lurking about in the store giving weird stares and following people while shopping in the store. Nothing in the ready to eat aisle is appetizing anymore - everything looked dry and picked over and nobody there to refresh it. It was good while it lasted, but the party is clearly over. They should have kept it small and kept their focus on quality and service.

First time shopping at this location and will never come back! I expected a better service!! Everything looks clean and organized however, I encourage you to train your employees to learn to say Hello and Thank you it requires no effort! I waited on the bakery department for some time and no one was there to assist. Looking around I found this young lady who was very kind to assist me even though it wasn t her department. The lady running the bakery arrived and started chatting with her coworker not seem to care if I was being helped!! I was not even finished when she assisted the next person who asked for a cookie! I say excuse miss can I please get more of this pastries? She gave me that attitude like she s being forced to work on this industry!!! I say thank you and have a good night and I get no response back!! Working for the hospitality industry this is not acceptable!! Please have them removed those nose piercings? She represents your location and is not the best dress code! Will never buy from this place again!

Really good quality fruits and vegetables, some of them organic. Lots of delicious and healthy foods to go, a good salad bar, a good hot food bar, and custom sandwiches. 10% off everything for seniors (65+) every Tuesday. Friendly and helpful staff. I like them and Mothers Market.

Excellent wholesome bakery, juices, smoothies... 98% of all produce and baked goods sold is organic. Except for boxed products in the isles. Jut visit and you will see what I am referring to :)

Delightful, friendly service. Premium meat and fish. Fresh organic produce. A nice neighborhood store. Just recently remodeled.

Love their supplements and herbs. Hope it gets expanded during the construction. Not inexpensive but they have wonderful dales and specials. Wish they had a nicer area to eat in. Perhaps that will get an upgrade too?

This place, well, somebody has to give feed back to this grocery store. Quality is average, no guest service, no freshness in meats section, kitchen staff not well trained. Last time I ordered a hot sandwich and the person who make it had no idea about a hot roast beef Philly sandwich. They dont know now to cook a pizza, cooks dont have cheff hats, Bob Marley Hair is not acceptable in front line Kitchen still I shop tbere for fee items.

7am, no staff at the seafood department, other staff (not just one person) saw us and looked for co-workers to help. My wife and I were very happy with the service!

I was in need of artisan cheese and checked here, to have all my wildest dreams come true. They have loads of cheese: imported, American, all manners of milk, an astonishing variety. I had stars in my eyes and cheddar in my hands. I had no time to look elsewhere in the store, but I can vouch for the awesomeness of their cheese counter.

Shady acres has vitamins all natural products very good store the employees there are courteous and very helpful ready to assist and they perform their duties with diligence really good place. The lines are not long its like you would get one like at maybe trader Joes or something but its really good products there and they actually do rotate thats a good thing

I found this place to be a cross between Mothers Market & Whole Foods. They have a salad bar, hot bar, poke bar, & sushi. They have a real deli. Quite a selection of wines. Lots of Gluten Free choices even in the bakery (which is amazing). This is a real find for me. Enjoy.

Great store with helpful employees. In my opinion, its one step up from Trader Joes (no offense). They have a great meat department and an abundance of organic foods.
