Chubby Cattle BBQ | Little Tokyo

I heard a lot about this spot through social media and YouTube. I also heard about it from their sister restaurant Niku X & it was worth the 2 1/2 hour wait…

The main rule to remember is you got 90 minutes to order with last call for food at 70 minute mark. If you don’t finish your food they’ll charge you 20% of your bill. I recommend the gold/mid tier & take your time along with don’t overeat.

I really loved the food but I went overboard and should have stopped when I was satisfied. Instead I ordered just a bit more and got super filled. Regardless, no regrets and check this spot out. Robin our server was excellent also, would help us cook and monitor our food.

Overall the quality of the meats were top notch. The sushi, sides, & even the salad was excellent. The price was fair but the wait can be super long and hoping it’ll get to one hour waits for walk ins. Parking is tricky but worth the trip! I highly recommend this spot and enjoy!

Chubby Cattle deserves all the stars and good ratings. This place is officially my new favorite AYCE spot and I am so glad that they opened a location in Little Tokyo. Yes, they are on the pricey side but I can guarantee you that you get the best quality of meat and fish served for the price that you pay. Also super glad that I was able to make a dinner reservation for 3 on a Monday night through phone. Our server Wendy was super knowledgable and helpful, she really made sure to check on us every time. I would also like to note that all of the other food servers were very efficient as well. I highly recommend this place to our family and friends. Hoping to come back soon.

PS: If you decide to splurge, please do choose the Gold Tier as it is the very best option price wise in my opinion.

Tried the place for the first time and it was an amazing experience! Our server Ben talked us through how the menu goes and different price points they offer. He even cooked some the of the meat we had to our desired temp! Great cuts of meat and the apps and sides were amazing! They even had their own drink bar serving milk tea boba, sodas, lemonades, water next to a soft serve ice cream machine to finish off the night. Def a 10/10 place :)

This is my second time eating here within a month. This time we got the diamond option for our menu choice and wow it was incredible and well worth the price. The portions are great, meats and other menu choices are wonderful. Wendy was our server and she was so lovely. I recommend to become a member if you plan to come more than once within a year.

I highly recommend Chubby Cattle. They have several locations, and I was thrilled when they finally opened in Little Tokyo. I opted for the Gold Tier, and all the meats were of excellent quality—definitely better than many BBQ places I’ve tried. Plus, they offer unlimited milk tea, which is a great bonus! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better.

I have been to many similar restraunts but I can confidently say that this is the best place to eat unlimited food. The quality of food is at the highest level. meat and fish are very fresh, everything was very tasty also happy that you can take unlimited drinks it is only in this restaurant. I would also like to mention that the service staff is very helpful and friendly. I do eat out a lot and I'm worried about whether they'll let me in the restaurant next time😂

Janice is good !!!! She has nice smile!!

It was my first time here and she was the most hospitable waitress I have met in a very long time. She alone has changed my perspective about people in America. Where I come from people are very friendly but I had a culture shock upon arriving in LA. Nonetheless she took care of us throughout the whole experience making our dining experience a wonder.

The food was great too and would totally recommend getting the gold option.

If you don’t get a chance to meet Janice as your waitress, come back. Come back until you do.

The beverage space was very awkward as it jutted out in to the hallway space near the bathrooms. Only one men s bathroom meant the line could get long and congested. I ve been wanting to try this place for a while now because all my friends have been raving about it, and boy am I glad I went. Upon arriving, I was greeted by very friendly staff, and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. One staff I was very fond of in particular is Joshua. He checked on me and my table multiple times throughout the night and gave such wonderful customer service! Always been intrigued with Chubby Cattle; decided to g m a Wed night bc they re typically very busy; we got the Diamond tier and I would say it s worth only if you actually like and eat the diamond food items. The staff here are very nice and attentive with their service. I thought I knew what AYCE BBQ was all about until I came here. Mind meltingly good food. Even the sides are really good, everything from the kimchi to the fermented spinach all had a delicious flavor distinct to them. A welcome note of citrus in the kimchi for example. The fresh sushi and caviar were AYCE and amazing. And then there is the meat. Wagyu everywhere. Australian and Japanese and the A5 is the real deal. The brisket was the best Ive ever had in my life. Your waitstaff will cook the A5 for you, in our case Janice did and excellent job doing the cooking and tending to our table. I dont know how they have such high quality at the price. Two of us walked out with full bellies and spent $175. And thats with buying a year long membership that gives future visit discounts at all the locations. Best AYCE weve ever had, period.

This place is amazing. Food, service, and atmosphere is spectacular. I definitely recommend for medium to large parties. Make sure you wear stretchy pants, you ll need it. Our server Joshua was attentive and helpful. He never doubted us for a moment with generous encouragement.

The waiter selected his own tip and told us to sign the bill right away. Other than that, it was fine, but I d say you re better off going to a normal AYCE place for half the price. That s just my opinion. It is better, but it s not worth the price, but that could depend on how much you like the extra fatty cuts. I will say that I ve had A5 wagyu before from a real expensive fancy Japanese place, and this stuff here didn t seem even close to it, which makes sense considering the price and its AYCE. Another problem I have with this place is that it has a lot of fake reviews. If you look, many of the reviews are done by a person either only 1 or 2 reviews, but the dead giveaway is that they reused the same photos nice. Anyways, the food isn t bad, but the servers are unprofessional (tipping themselves), and they use fake reviews, so I ll give 2 stars cuz the food was okay, I d give 3 if they didn t use fake reviews, and then I d give 4 if the workers didn t choose their own tip.

Place was electric and loved the whole experience overall. Everyone is so efficient and good at what they do and you can tell theirs a lot of passion. Our server, Nessie, was amazing and took great care of us along with the other staff. Appreciate everything and we hope to be back in the near future. It may be expensive but totally worth it, the food and experience was like Japan.

I heard a lot about this spot through social media and YouTube. I also heard about it from their sister restaurant Niku X & it was worth the 2 1/2 hour wait The main rule to remember is you got 90 minutes to order with last call for food at 70 minute mark. If you don t finish your food they ll charge you 20% of your bill. I recommend the gold/mid tier & take your time along with don t overeat. I really loved the food but I went overboard and should have stopped when I was satisfied. Instead I ordered just a bit more and got super filled. Regardless, no regrets and check this spot out. Robin our server was excellent also, would help us cook and monitor our food. Overall the quality of the meats were top notch. The sushi, sides, & even the salad was excellent. The price was fair but the wait can be super long and hoping it ll get to one hour waits for walk ins. Parking is tricky but worth the trip! I highly recommend this spot and enjoy!

Got to try this place for the first time after a friend recommended it. Wendy was very attentive and helped us cook some of our meat because we got a bit lazy. I would highly recommend coming here because the meat is really good quality and has a lot of variety!

Tried the place for the first time and it was an amazing experience! Our server Ben talked us through how the menu goes and different price points they offer. He even cooked some the of the meat we had to our desired temp! Great cuts of meat and the apps and sides were amazing! They even had their own drink bar serving milk tea boba, sodas, lemonades, water next to a soft serve ice cream machine to finish off the night. Def a 10/10 place :)

Ben was such an amazing waiter and made our experience a 10/10!!!! He was friendly, attentive, and pro cook! The quality of meat was also very good and the menu was extensive. They also had free drinks and froyo! A bit pricy and noisy but I would come back :) (also the Tom yum and lunches are SPICY)

Prepare for a long waitlist if you re dining on a weekend because it gets busy. Once you re seated though, the staff are friendly and very accommodating. Cody was a great help with a bunch of recommendations and he didn t lead us astray. The meat and fish were of superb quality. I just wish they had a lot of palate cleanser because I can taste the fattiness of the meat on the roof of my mouth (not that I m complaining). The unlimited drinks were also awesome. Definitely will be coming back again soon.

Nessie was our server, he was very professional and helpful. They had hot water which was awesome I wish they had oolong tea. Reminds me a lot of the experience you can get in Japan, which was nostalgic. Chawanmushi, okra, and takowasa so good!! Cant wait to come back.

Meal was so good, and is going to make you sleepy for sure due to its richness. Excellent service from Nessie, he was great at explaining how the whole ordering process worked and helped ensure the meat was not overcooked. A lot of variety and definitely worth the trip!

First time eating here with my husband and we wanted our day date to be extra special. The food, music and our waitress, Wendy hit all the right spots! Wendy was very helpful throughout our dine in experience. The whole staff was friendly and the place is clean. The drinks are self serve and they also have ice cream! 10/10 recommend and bring someone that loves to eat because my husband and I pretty much had everything on the menu. We got the Gold menu and everything was delicious. Parking: We got lucky and found a spot right in front! Just keep in eye on the time so you wont get a ticket!

Worth the money! Food was great! Wendy our server was out standing! She explained and cooked some of our meats. You want her expertise to cook the prime meats so you dont mess it up. Got the gold option and tried all the meats and sushi. Will come back for sure!
