I was really looking forward to trying this cafe, but unfortunately the service was horrible. The cashier knowingly overcharged us for one of our drinks and didn t offer to make it right. My boyfriend had ordered a London Fog, and he asked the cashier if it had vanilla. The cashier said no, so my boyfriend paid extra to have vanilla added. After we finished paying, we overheard the barista come up to the cashier and say, The London Fog already has vanilla. The cashier only said, Oh, okay, and when the barista asked if he was going to do anything about it, the cashier said no. While my boyfriend only paid 75 cents extra for the syrup, it s the lack of integrity on the cashier s part that really bothered us the most. Our drinks (London Fog and Hong Kong Milk Tea) and food (Matcha Roti and Snowcap Roti) were fine I have no complaints about the flavor or anything like that. The Hong Kong Milk Tea was slightly sweet, which I enjoyed, and the same goes for the roti. However, overhearing that interaction has made me not want to return to this cafe. Even though the cafe was busy, the cashier should have at least offered to make it right. Like I said, we don t care about the cost, but it s just a matter of principle for us. We would ve told him we didn t need a refund anyway, but he didn t even bother to tell us. To me, this is a seriously concerning issue, and I hope that management can work with the employees to keep this from happening to other guests in the future.

There are dozens of foods and drinks to choose from! I got the Viet iced coffee, popular choice, and a simple pastry. Must go to when you want to head to the plaza early, energize yourself w a freshly brewed coffee or tea, and fill up on desserts! Cannot recommend enough for locals and travelers alike! Kid-friendliness: Several recognizable cereal desserts and others that will catch their eye! Also, hot chocolate and other non caffeinated drinks! Wheelchair accessibility: Its cramped inside the cafe. Maybe bring someone to help you navigate the tight corners. Was hard for me as a person not in a wheelchair to get both in and out.

Good cafe in the Tokyo district to Los Angeles. Very popular with the locals. Sometimes queues up to 15 minutes waiting at worst. A small selection of sandwiches etc. We ordered vegetarian options. The bread was a bit dry but the sandwich was good for that. A bit too much selection of cakes and sweets which is apparently normal in the USA. Coffee/Cappuccino was impeccable. All in all, a decent cafe. Recommended

One of my favorite lunch spots in Little Tokyo (I eat here at least once or twice every month). Theres shaded outdoor seating where you can share in the vibe of this energetic part of Little Tokyo while enjoying your coffee and donuts or (as is my preference) a delicious lunch. My go to order is the Steak Ranchera Burrito. Its tasty, the meat is tender, and the salsa is both spicy hot and delicious. Fair warning, the burrito can be a little juicy (i.e., greasy) at times, so ask for extra napkins.

I was in Little Tokyo in LA and had to try the donuts! And I wasn t disappointed. The donuts are fresh and yeast raised. They have the perfect balance of sugar. I tried the macadamia nut with a maple glaze and the green tea. The macadamia nut was the basic recipe good everyone should enjoy. The green tea donut was different yet enjoyable. The green tea flavor mixes well with the filling. The filling is a little thicker like a custard and has its own flavor that works for the donut. I am most surprised with the green tea donut maintaining its flavor and moisture the next day!

A cafe located in Little Tokyo/Nihonmura Plaza. Its a local cafe that doesnt seem to have any connection to Japan. Its open from early morning, so I stopped by for breakfast while walking around Little Tokyo. There were no Japanese people, so I couldnt speak Japanese, but it was crowded. Its a popular store. Indeed, the food and drinks were excellent. (The only thing that happens when you order a burrito is that there is cilantro in it, which I dont like. It seems that the standard recipe for authentic Mexican burritos is to include cilantro in it.) The pastries looked delicious too. We had a relaxing morning on the terrace while looking at the lanterns. Thank you for the meal.

CHECK YOUR FOOD IF YOU EAT HERE. Ordered an egg sandwich and it came with little black seeds hidden inside it. Not sure if these people are trying to force-vaxx people but this is bizarre and illegal. Were having the seeds tested for any toxicity at which point Dulce will be sued and prosecuted criminally. These people used to be cool but they are putting shady stuff in their food now. This is not tolerated at all and these people will be brought up on criminal charges if these black seeds, which have no business being in the sandwich, have any level of toxicity whatsoever.

The texture of the donuts here are amazing. Most of the donuts have a light and fluffy texture. We got the orea, the strawberry jam, the strawberry cream, dino churro, hazelnut cream, and blueberry pito. The strawberry jam was simple and delicious, the hazelnut was like a sweet biscuit with hazelnut cream inside. The oreo was like a giant oreo, the dino churro had a very good fluffy texture but not much of a taste. The strawberry cream was ok just very heavy on the cream and the blueberry was a little chemically. Over all if you want a beautiful donut with a great texture its hard to go wrong here.

Ive only had the Spicy Korean Cheesesteak but Ive seen others order the portobello burger and the chicken pesto sandwich and theyve looked good too! Pricing is pretty reasonable, if youre ordering a drink, food, and a pastry you can expect to run yourself about $20 before tax in total and portions are good (the sandwiches usually come with a side salad and I can hardly touch my salad after my sandwich, Im so full). A bit pricey for a donut, macadamia or not. Maybe I just dont know what to order. Its an impromptu buy. I think Im already converted to Americans taste/style when it comes to donut, so the sweetness can be stronger (so it goes with a cup of coffee). To me, Its not even sweet enough for a high tea. But if one prefer a much lighter taste then maybe this could be your place. Felt rushed the entire time. The wait time was long.

Review №191

This is a terrific spot to get some breakfast and a coffee. Thats what I did when visiting here. It appeared that the desserts were pretty popular as well. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee when I came here. While it wasnt as strong as some of the other Vietnamese coffee Ive tried, it had a great flavor and gave me the jolt that I needed. For food, I got the breakfast burrito and then the spicy Korean cheesesteak, which were both excellent. The burrito was very tasty and filling. The cheesesteak was also flavorful, but not over the top. It also had coleslaw on it, which made for a great mouth feel. One of this places strong attributes is that they open early around breakfast time. Most of the other restaurants in Little Tokyo open at 11am or 12pm. Keep in mind that this place does not have a lot of seating and does fill up quickly. Overall, this place hit the spot, especially when everything else was not open.
