Cafe/Bakery serving food donuts pastries, specialty coffee, matcha, and specialty teas at the USC Village!
Summer hours are Monday - Friday 8a-8p, Saturday - Sunday 8a-8p.
Amazing food and drinks located right in USC village! In my personal opinion, this is the best restaurant and best coffee spot on campus and within reasonable proximity. Both the savory meal items and sweeter desserts were all excellent. Drinks also hit the spot. Definitely recommend it and thanks so much for the quality service even during busy shifts!

amazing IF you know what to get. their breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal and super customizable. also, the matcha, specifically the iced blueberry, is phenomenal. they have pretty good lunch sandwiches and such, but i think their breakfast is significantly better. if you’re feeling like it, their green tea donut is possibly the best donut i’ve ever had — not overly sweet, and you can continue to function after eating it. i would personally not recommend getting their coffee, i haven’t found a version of it i enjoy, and there are better coffee spots in the area imo. also, line is usually really long, but you’ll be shocked at how quickly it moves. usc staple!

I saw a list of matcha places and this was one of them on tik tok. We got lucky with street parking but the village also has paid parking. I got the blueberry matcha and my boyfriend got the iced herbal tonic. Both drinks are delicious. The only reason I put 4 stars was because I had asked for a large matcha and they gave me a medium.

It looked busy on this sunny day.
There was a waiting line out the door.
Blueberry Matcha Latte is quite good. $6 for smaller size; including tips.
Staff was very helpful. I got to taste matcha before making my buying decision.
Comparison of Matchas:
The Matcha at Sunlife is almost $10; as compared to $6 at Dulce and $7 at Soboyeyo.
Unfortunately, it seems like all the Matcha beverages come pre-sweetened at USC Village vendors. Bummer.

It’s one of the busiest cafe in the USC village! Usually during semesters there’s always long line to enter but often takes 20-25min to get your order ready.
The sandwiches are really worth the wait and come with fresh salad!! There are also lots of interesting options for desserts including variety of tarts, pastries and cakes!
Highly recommended to have lunch/brunch.

This was on March 22, 2024 @ 3:34PM and I'm barely reviewing it June 30, 2024. I've been debating if I should post it or not, due to the fact that I work in the Village as well and don't want them to treat me WORST after this review.
Here we go:
Like mentioned before, I work in the Village and see my co-workers, along w/ clients/customers always walking around w/ "the Green Drink" and I wanted to try it to see what the hype was about. The hype was real. Matcha Tea is awesome!!
•1st time I was there, I ordered the Matcha (NO ICE), and a Salad w/ extra dressing. When I received my food, I was missing the extra vinaigrette I had ordered, so I asked the cashier if she had entered it on my order. She looked at me annoyed and asked someone else to get it for me.
I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY BUSY, so I didn't think much of it and walked away happy w/ my Matcha Tea.
•2nd time, I brought my son to also try the Matcha tea. Again, I asked for BOTH NO ICE PLEASE.
When they called my order, I saw both drinks had ice. The same cashier that helped me the 1st visit I made was now making the Tea and when I politely reminded her that I had requested BOTH DRINKS WITH NO ICE..... again, she gave me that LOOK and grabbed a big spoon and took the ice out.
Once the ice was out, the teas were almost down to half the cup. I thought she would refill that missing part.
...yeah right!! She rudely slammed the cups on the counter & kept going.
I wanted to go off on her so bad ecause this was my 2nd time there and both times the same Asian girl treated me poorly.
Since I was with my son; I walked away per his request.
LOOK AT THAT PUCTURE I POSTED & TELL ME IF THAT'S APPROPRIATE.

My son s first Dulce breakfast burrito (bacon and avo) and it was a hit! (Duh. Their breakfast burrito is bomb.) And their Joe Pro brewed coffee today is outstanding - one of the best drip coffees I ve had in a while. Love this place - and (bonus!) there was barely a line today. Check it out (even if you have to wait) - you won t be disappointed.

The music at this cafe is obnoxiously LOUD. It leaves one with the general impression that Dulce employees and management do not care one little bit about customer experience and that they want you to scurry out clutching you $9 oatmilk matcha latte as fast as possible. The loudness of their music has been consistent for years, whether it s 9 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. Save yourself the headache and go to a different coffee shop!

I always love getting dulce, especially today as I was having a rough day. I tell the worker at the register my order and they let me get through my whole order before rudely saying that I didn t hear any of that . They then continued to be extremely rude when I explain that I had lost my voice and was sorry. They said I ve had a long day I m tired which I completely understand, however, was really disappointing to feel so unwelcome in a place I really enjoy going. Please think about others around you too especially those who give no reason to be mean.

For the past 3 years of my college life, Dulce has been incredible with their service and quality of food. However, the manager recently on 10/5/2024 was extremely disrespectful to me, speaking in a manner in which you would not use towards a customer. I did an online order, and when asking about information, she was extremely rude in saying that I ve already been handed a refund and to either get in line or nothing due to their online system being down. Now, I do understand that they are busy and overworked, but the way she informed me about the online situation was incredibly rude.

My recent breakfast experience at Cafe Dulce in the USC food court was deeply disappointing and frankly, unacceptable. The most glaring issue was the shockingly inconsiderate behavior of the staff. In the middle of our meal, a staff member abruptly took chairs from right under us, forcing us to stand. This rude and disrespectful action compelled us to leave immediately, cutting our visit short. Additionally, the overall service was remarkably slow, adding to our frustration. During what is usually a busy breakfast time, such inefficiency is particularly noticeable and inconvenient. The cafes seating situation was also dismal. Very limited seating was available, and the few spots that were, including the bar counter where we initially found space, were poorly maintained and unclean. The counter was stained and covered in cooking liquids, indicative of a lack of attention to cleanliness. As for the food, the breakfast burrito I ordered was smaller than expected, which was disappointing. The only redeeming aspect of the visit was the coffee, which was actually quite good. However, this small positive was completely overshadowed by the unpleasant experience caused by the lack of clean seating and the appalling behavior of the staff. In summary, while the coffee at Cafe Dulce might be commendable, the overall experience was ruined by slow service, inadequate and dirty seating, and, most notably, the disrespectful treatment by the staff. Such behavior is unacceptable in any customer service setting, and its something that the management at Cafe Dulce needs to address urgently.

This is for students. There were no seats available. Everybody was there with their laptops at the table for hours. The tables outside on the quad was just as crowded. You will have to get your food to go. The service was ok. Everybody was professional and it was ran by students. The line was crazy long but it moved relatively quickly. The food was ok. Lots of snacks, pastries, salads, fancy teas and coffe, etc. It reminds me of a more expensive version of Starbucks or Coffee Bean. But hey.....its USC!!!!! This place is not bad but its average. Would I go again..... maybe not during lunch time. Ill give it another try.

Great coffee and pastry shop. If this store is anything like the other Cafe Dulce s, then I understand why it s such a popular brand. The coffee is great, and the pastries, especially the donuts, are unique and delicious. We went late at night and they still had most of their inventory and were happy to serve us. They made me a flat white upon request as well, something not on their menu. I only wish I had more time to try their other items. Great spot in USC Village! Not too expensive either.

I got a black coffee and wow strong. Strong like 3 shift police strong or Fireman strong. But since on UCS campus could be cramming for finals strong. Also, got a fruit tart that was just ok. The fruit was fresh, the cookie shell was good, but the pastry cream very little flavor and the consistency was off.

Though the quality of the coffee and breakfast burrito is good, Dulce consistently has problems serving customers in the correct order. Tickets are frequently filled in reverse, meaning that the people who ordered last receive their food first. I normally excuse this because theyre always busy and the staff is friendly, but today my burrito took a full 30 minutes, and this was after I asked about it and found that they had apparently just lost the ticket.

A cute idea, but they re too focused on the wrong things. I used to love dulce when it was well-maintained and customer centered. Today I hardly visit. The drinks are overpriced and only about half are any good. The indoor seating is limited and clearly not built with any students or women in mind considering there are no bag hooks under any tables a quick fix but it shows where their priorities lie. The music is too loud to enjoy conversation. And the one bathroom that was in use (of two), though adequately clean, also played host to not one, not two, but five fruit flies. There are no paper towels to use to open the door, either, forcing users to use a hand drier and then touch a germy handle. So again, while well-intentioned, Dulce s quality has severely dropped in the last few years and I would much rather spend my time and money elsewhere.

The workers were so kind and explained the difference between the premium and regular matchas, being that the the regular Matcha is presweetened and less strong (and I m assuming premium is better quality). I overheard that they use the same gallons of matcha without cleaning them once they re done. The matcha is overrated here so I m just going to stick with my Starbucks matcha latte at this point.

Delighted pastries with nice breakfast burrito! Long lines can form but go off peak.

Someone taking my order asked me how I was doing in a way that genuinely stopped my usual train of thought. They wanted a genuine answer on how I was and honestly that speaks for itself. The food tastes just as good as the vibes.

Delightful cafe in USC village. Service is friendly and speedy. The breakfast sandwiches are excellent. The rotis are really similar to Mexican conchas, with a crunchy topping and a soft crumb inside.

Id give 5 start when they start to have the gluten free pastries available at afternoon/ evening. If you know its selling well why not have more of it??? Its already so hard to find a gluten free food and when I finally found a spot they rarely have it by the time I can go there, so sad

Met a friend here to catch up over caffeinated drinks! The folks working inside were very friendly and patient. They had good-looking doughnuts and pastries but I didn t try them next time I m in the area, I guess! Drinks were good. There s plenty of seating in the plaza, but it wasn t hard to find a spot right out front either. Expect lots of crowds, since it is on a college campus. There was a pretty long line but it moved super fast.

The coffee + bread lunch on the USC campus, the bread is delicious, you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, and parking is convenient and basically free. TARGET and Trader Joe s are both here, so you can catch up on daily necessities for two or three days or a week. There are also YOGA classes, my driver does yoga, and I go shopping at Target & Trader Joe s. It s easy to pass an hour, you can get what you need, and your stress is relieved.

Foods are great and portions are definitely enough. Sandwiches are especially recommended.

Excellent sandwich and salad. Super yummy and quick since campus wasnt really open. This place gets rammed during school and its not a surprise. The food, pastries, and coffees are great. But do something about the pastry case!! You know what I mean!!

The first time I came here I tried the fruity pebble donut, it was really good. This is my second time going and I tried the matcha latte it was delicious. I had it with the sausage breakfast burrito, that burrito was BUSSSSSIN, I completely devoured its and forgot to take a pic Anyways my new fav place at USC Village. Anyways the donut was $1 And the matcha was $5.25 (small) Burrito was $8.75 A little pricey but totally worth it!
