Community Goods is an absolute gem in Los Angeles! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the beautiful interior architecture and atmosphere. The space is so thoughtfully designed, with a warm and inviting vibe that makes you want to stay all day.
Yes, the line was long, and we waited quite a while, but it was absolutely worth it. The sliders and pistachio toast were incredible—bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The coffee and matcha were equally delicious, with rich, balanced flavors that had me savoring every sip.
Sure, it’s on the pricier side, but for the quality of the food, drinks, and the overall experience, it’s totally justified. Community Goods has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the city. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an unforgettable meal in a stunning setting!

Wanted to try this spot in LA, seems to be on everyone’s list to get some tasty matcha.
Definitely exceeded expectations. Came within an hour of closing and didn’t need to wait the 45 minutes like most people.
Gun music and cozy woodsy feel to the interior.
Super friendly staff!
We ordered iced matcha with oat milk and sweet cream and omg the best.
For real worth the hype and def recommend 😊
Lots of residential street parking

We arrived just after 7 AM and encountered a queue, but it moved relatively quickly. The staff were polite. The coffee was okay, not the best I've had, but the matcha was excellent. The breakfast sliders were to die for. I recommend coming early as the queue got longer as time went on.

I was a little worried this place might be overhyped, but it absolutely wasn’t! The food was delicious!
We ordered two sliders – one with added bacon and one with avocado, and the sauces were included, which was a nice touch. We also got iced vanilla coffees, which were perfect.
It seems like a popular spot with a lot of regulars who know their go-to orders, so I did feel a bit rushed to order, but that was mostly on me for not checking the menu ahead of time. The staff were friendly, and the food was definitely worth it!
We visited on a weekday around 9 am, and it was already busy. I imagine it only gets busier, so I’d recommend going early if you can!

Clearly, the most trendy coffee place in LA!
Last time I went, there were 40 people in line.
It’s a little hard to park, and there is almost no sitting inside (just a bench). The outside sitting is nice but small.
Not my all time favorite coffee but a good one tho.
I will definitely come back again for the vibe!

Long lines start in the morning so come ready to wait, however it moves pretty quick. Breakfast sliders are good but would be nice if they came with avocado and bacon, unfortunately they’re up charges making the original sliders quite plain. Their specialty coffees are delicious and staff are helpful

Great drinks, mediocre food. Recommend coming on a weekday for shorter lines.

Their matcha is definitely better than most if not all places in LA; the fragrance of the matcha tea flavour was nice and distinct thought not strong; still pretty creamy overall. The salted foam on the matcha spanner is delicious. Their breakfast sliders were delicious, mostly because of the sauces and freshness. Be prepared to wait in line 30-60+ mins on weekends, especially with the rhode collaboration happening this month. We waited just about an hour last weekend when the line ended right around the end of the block.

The sliders are as good as they say and the coffee is pretty good. The workers could be somewhat friendly but this place is so damn busy I don t blame them. Make sure you have an hour to waste in line if you come after 9am (yes even on a random Wednesday the college kids flock to this place).

Not worth the hype and wait! You ll wait 45 minutes just to order and another 15 to make. They are consistently out of product. They clearly don t have the staff or resources to manage their volume. I v been here a few times and I mean the coffee is good . But there are TONS of coffee shops nearby that are just as good without the over hype. I wouldn t go back.

So... You want to dislike this place. The parking is pretty bad even early, let alone during busy hours. The line is long due to the indecesive/entitled/unprepared daudling clientele and the gal pal packs ordering individually... HOWEVER... The coffee is excellent- the vanilla iced latte the machta latte are both great and come out pretty quick once youve ordered. Next the food, while the menu isnt extensive, I keep reading about the sliders and despite visiting 3-4 times I never got there early enough to order them before they ran out. Prior to this I only got the sandwich which was pretty good in its own right but I had attempted the sliders a few times with no success. Well, today was the day I got there early enough and let me tell you the sliders are worth the hype. Avocado and bacon are scant but the upgrade cost is fairly reasonable by LA standards. Unfortunately the discerning hipsters are right. This place is great for what they deliver despite the difficulty parking and ordering. Placing your order ahead with toast is a semi pro tip. I begrudgingly award 5* because the coffee, food and service are excellent even with the line and few failures to find parking forcing me to leave- plan ahead for both. Parking: Parking is not good even early in the day. Be prepared to park up the block, around the corner or risk a ticket/tow in a riskier spot.

all these people waiting in line were onto something. community goods is actually worth the wait and those might be the best breakfast sliders i ve ever had. matcha drinks were solid and flat white was also tasty. there s seating in the back patio to enjoy your meal. overall, this spot is a welcome addition to the must go places every time i m in town - try to do mobile order next time though! flat white: for a place known for matcha drinks, the flat white held its own hojicha latte: tasty but would try the spanner next time matcha spanner: top tier drink and worth the hype. on the sweeter side, especially with all the cream top. loved the slight saltiness. coffee spanner: one of the most complex tasting coffees i ve had in the best way possible. sweet, salty, bitter and creamy. really enjoyed. baklava croissant: pretty tasty, unique flavor but croissant base itself wasn t top tier breakfast sliders (+bacon, avocado): simple stack up but executed perfectly. ratios were great and ingredients were fresh. the 2 sauces on the side turned this great slider into a top tier one. banana bread (+passionfruit butter): solid banana bread and mustard try with the butter
Published at 3 months ago
matcha spanner is really creamy & smooth. milk & matcha flavor is balanced. only con, drink size is really tiny & you cannot adjust ice levels. street parking slightly difficult if u go during prime time, but if you arrive during prime time the lines do move fast. also the workers here are really friendly :)

We re visiting from out of town and my bf is a massive coffee snob so we had to come, but not sure if we ll come many times for the rest of our visit, line was just too long. Got the Einspanner latte, vanilla latte, and a espresso shot. The lattes were both great, best vanilla I ve had but I preferred the Einspanner cuz it had yummy cream and I wanted something slightly sweeter.

My name was called quickly but the barista made a matcha instead so he quickly fixed it and I got to keep both drinks! I understand why theres a 20 minute wait for this place, it is hands down the best matcha Ive had at a cafe!! The hojicha was also extremely delicious, a deep nutty flavour with some notes of cocoa. If you like matcha, try hojicha!

I like to stop by a cool coffee shop on my once every couple months trip to my Beverly Hills office from the Eastside. Community Goods has been on my list for a while. Its very recognizable as a maru/kumquat east side minimalist coffee shop, but just off Melrose in Hollywood. There was an out the door line at 8 am, but the line is kind of the point, isnt if? My espresso tonic was delish as was my croissant and the staff was crisp and efficient. Def not a place to go if you are in a rush. Not much seating. There was a waiting line compared to weekdays, but the coffee tasted the best. The ice latte had a strong flavor and the matcha had a strong flavor as well. I wish the coffee size was a little bigger. In Korea, the size is big. Oh, the staff are busy. Dont forget to smile. Is that the blunt look of Keritor? Its not cool at all. The smile and kindness are typical of Korea. Parking: You can park for a while. If it werent for the police... Kid-friendliness: Families are welcome, and the outside seating area is in the shade, so its comfortable to rest. Even though its not wide, the scent of the flowers is very nice. Wheelchair accessibility: This is convenient as it is an entrance that wheelchairs can enter rather than stairs.

Currently this spot in LA is on everyone s radar. I had to give it a try. The exterior is simple and clean and the interior is quite small. When I went the line was coiled inside and went outside all the way to their yellow sign. I waited in line for about 35-40 mins. As I waited in line and watched them make drinks I noticed this fluffy sweet cream they kept pouring into drinks. It looked so good. I ordered an iced matcha with oatmilk and the sweet cream! It was delicious! I think this spot is worth the hype but hopefully they figure out how to optimize the wait time better. Possibly more locations? Highly recommend trying! Dietary restrictions: They offer dairy free options Parking: Near a neighborhood so there is a better chance at finding parking.

It was a small space that could be said to be somewhat hip, but it felt like most of the people waiting were already very attracted to the visit... Its not on the menu, but if you ask, theyll make you a drink that mixes matcha with a flat white or a latte... Great about the taste. I didnt have any expectations, but the matcha was very thick and delicious and went well with coffee... I personally think it was the best among maru, community goods, and camel.

Listen, the matcha is amazing. Probably the best I ve had in LA (I don t drink coffee so can t comment). And yes, everything is a lil more expensive and yes the crowd is a mixture of Hypebeasts and Hypebaes. But the toasted sesame banana bread is god level. It s comes with passion fruit butter. I m somewhat of a b bread expert so you can def trust me. But the star of the show is the egg sliders. They make me weep tears of joy. They re worth every penny and every claustrophobic minute spent inside. I cannot even accurately express to you how good these are. I saw Justin Biebhair there once and frankly I would choose the egg sliders over him any day. Move Justin, they called my name. Update: it s wild to see people reviewing this place being pissed that the staff isn t nice enough. I ve been here probably 30 times since I first started visiting almost a year ago, and have never had a bad interaction period. These people are slammed almost every day with trust fund babies rocking up in their daddy s Ferrari wearing designer clothing at the age of like 25. The staff owes you nothing. Tip 20%, you can afford it. Have you ever considered the problem is you?

Thought that maybe you were having a bad day, but then I saw your interactions with white woman, and wow the contrast! Not only did he give attitude to me but to the asian girl in front of us. Suddenly, he sees the white girls behind us and his whole world is lit up! I apologize I couldn t make you smile today, but I m glad other girls did! On the other hand, the white girl working the cashier was extremely helpful and nice! Food and drinks are solid. But Isaac, I hope that after reading this, you can consider being kinder to your own race :) P.S. To other asians coming here, let s all show Isaac some love so he can see how nice we are <3

First things first, Nice Coffee in DTLA is the exact dupe of their matcha latte. And theres no line jussayin Went on a Saturday morning (arrived around 10:20 AM and parked along melrose ave using meter parking. Good luck looking for free residential parking. Online ordering was buggy and didnt work so we decided to wait in the infamous line. Waited about 38 min to order. But as time went by, the line got longer and longer. I think by time I left it looked like an hour wait. Waited maybe 7 ish minutes for my matcha latte, orange tonic, and breakfast sliders. Like I mentioned before, the matcha latte tasted exactly like the coffee shop near my work lol. It was good but I wouldnt wait for it again! The breakfast sliders with bacon were bomb especially the aioli that they included on the side. I wouldnt come back but just wanted to try it for the experience :)

Great coffee but terrible experience to get it, frankly. After waiting 25 minutes from an online order, I go inside to find my drink isn t ready. The inside is crammed with people waiting in line, waiting for food/drinks. After 10 more minutes I then find out I have to ask for my drinks to be started? What was the point of ordering in advanced and how is anybody supposed to know this? It s truly chaotic watching everyone run around behind the counter. After finally getting my drinks I then have to fight through the line to get lids and then go back through the line to get out of the place. It s a terrible experience that could be solved by putting even a few processes in place. The long line ups maybe look great for business but you ve gotta wonder why nobody else is waiting 40+ minutes for a coffee anywhere else in Los Angeles. It s not just because you re popular, unfortunately.

I ve been seeing this spot on social media as a hip spot to go to for excellent coffee. Luckily I went when it isn t super busy. I ordered a latte with almond milk. It only came in one size but it was delicious, perfect flavor and temperature. I d definitely come by here again for a cup of Joe. I think if it s a long line, then it d be a different story. Worth checking out and they have some convenience store items.

Stopped by on a Wednesday morning and it wasn t too busy luckily as this place can get packed. Ordered the hot matcha latte and the breakfast sliders. Matcha latte was $7 and one size and milk alternatives are not extra. It was a great latte no complaints. The breakfast sliders are 4 small rolls with egg and cheese with 2 accompanying dipping sauces for $10. They are soft, flavorful and the dipping sauces are really good. There is a handful of outdoor seating spots and some benches inside while you wait for your order. They have a pastry case and a grab and go fridge with food and drinks. It s decent, prices are somewhat high but worth a stop if you re nearby.

The coffee is very good. Im a basic expresso/americano person but I got the vanilla bean latte and I was soooooo satisfied. I wouldnt order that anywhere else. It was certainly an experience to be there and very busy in the morning. The brown butter chocolate chip coffee was out of this world. So glad I made the stop on the way out of LA. Definitely on my list of places to return to. Thanks!!

Wish I could say this is all hype . It was bomb!!! Food was seriously delicious ( that herby sauce really made it!!) my partner got the sliders with bacon and I got them with avocado. The lattes were 10/10!! ( I got the vanilla bean latte and am still dreaming about it). My partner got one with chocolate and another creamy ingredient ( forget the name) and we both said it was one of the best lattes we ve ever had. As far as the wait, we went to community goods around 9 am on a weekday and there were only a few people waiting. Seemed slower and less intense than what the reviews made it seem like as we ate. The store itself is also beautiful, with a little sunny area to chill in back. Will be back next time I m in LA. Truly loved it. Got the baklava croissant so genius and so tasty ( I m from Montreal- with exceptional French pastries - and this one is LEGIT)

What I ordered: breakfast sliders added bacon and an iced match w/ oat milk Food for Thoughts: breakfast sliders are to the sweeter side due the Hawaiian bun and aïoli. Great portion for the price. Match was decent- not worth price at $7. Woah. Overall thoughts: huge line, vibe is cute and tiny. Would go back if it was quick, otherwise not worth lineup.

The line was long took about 45 minutes but the breakfast sandwich was out of this world. They give u very healthy portion so the best 10 dollars spent on a sandwich. I will totally go back for more. Sadly I did not try any of the coffees but will next round. Heard the banana bread is really good as well.

For anyone ordering online ahead of time- Do not wait in the line to pick up your order. I wish I had known that when I went in to grab my order. There s no signage inside that designates a pick up/ online order area- no employee outside directing/ and not even in the email generated thru TOAST to just walk up and go to the counter. There will likely be an impressively long line outside and the smallest indoor space to navigate. It feels like you re cutting ahead of people and without knowing that, you can waste about 40mins to end up with cold food. They should really communicate that better and have more organization imposed on the inside part of the experience. It looked like a free for all. The sliders were alright. They put sauce on them though- so if you re condiment avoidant know that beforehand. There s also no way to modify/ take that off if you re online ordering.

The lines are INSANE over the holidays. But, if you are patient, it will be worth it. If youre an impatient person, its just not gonna work for you. Its a cramped small space, and if everyone is packed in, youd best not be claustrophobic.

Sliders were good, but sauces actually made the meal. Passion fruit and dill sauces 5/5. Oat cortado was actually a macchiato 4.3/5 good, but not what I wanted. Fruity espresso. Passion fruit and dill sauces 5/5.

Great vibe, simplistic store with great character. Loved the coffee. Slightly overpriced and the servers do need to switch up their attitude a bit.

Eh not worth the hype. Yes, vanilla latte is good but it better be for $7. Other than that, has little goods found in every other shop in LA. Nothing spectacular.

Cheated. One word that comes to mind when talking of this place. This is the the first time I visit (Monday morning) it s busy but enticing. The reviews online so far boast about the quality of this place so I decided to give it a try. I ordered 3 breakfast sliders ($10 each with bacon and avocado added, an extra $12) I thought it was a bit backward. Why not just say your bacon and avocado sliders are $14? Anyway, I came in with high hopes but left a bit disillusioned. I paid about 50 dollars for 3 breakfast orders that ended up being the quality I was looking for, when I could find the toppings that is. One of my orders was missing the avocado, and the other the bacon. To my dismay the egg only covers about 2/3 of the Hawaiian buns which leaves you chewing on nothing but bread for the last bites. Maybe a square egg mold?? The flavor was there and the bacon crispy, the eggs were nice and fluffy. Only locals/regulars get greeted. Not a welcoming environment. Limited seating and even more limited parking. Parking: Horrid

Garbage. Overpriced LA TRASH. Got 2 coffees and 2 pastries. Price was +$100. Pastries were dry, and the coffees were burnt. Dont bother wasting your time or money with this place.

First time going here bc my friends recommended it to me and I had watched so many reviews saying how good the matcha is. Matcha definitely was not for me it was very bland. But regardless, the customer service was so bad they are soooo rude. Theyre only nice to the people they know and theyll let them cut in front of you. You cant even ask them questions without pissing them off. The overall atmosphere was not welcoming at all. Extremely overhyped

Community goods is the most popular coffee shop in LA at the moment, for good reason! I recommend coming on a week day - it s too busy on weekdays. The iced latte is soo tasty- perfectly pairs with their breakfast sliders. The sliders come on Hawaiian rolls, the best bread ever made. Can get them with bacon or avocado or both!

Scotty #beagle & I have been walking past for a few weeks- absolutely buzzing with young people lining up for hours & all trying hard to casually drink the coffee / matcha once they finally secure it. I wont line up for more than 5 minutes for Anything. And I have three other coffee shops I frequent that are excellent in a 4 block radius of my Skate Shack. Last night I walked past near closing time & there was just a couple of people in line- so I decided to investigate what fuss is all about. The serving staff are all TV teen series gorgeous & menu covers all the expected bases with some nice ideas. I had their vanilla bean latte & it was v pleasant. I love the use of organic milk. And the cookie was also good but a tad over-salted & under-risen. Theres a curated collection of things for sale - mainly foodie- that probably seem exotic to Americans, but are fairly standard in the @eucouncil & to an Epicurious Brit. The Face Mag is an eternally cool mag and probably costs a lot now to buy early 80s/90s ones. I have 100+ in storage in UK, because Im old skool cool. The assembled customers are fashionable, some creatives, some rich kids with parents credit card no doubt.. Some v dressed up some super casual but fresh smelling..Some are low key singing and harmonising to pass time or be discovered? Just the right mix to create that magnetic pull that works for a while. They need to really deliver on drinks and snacks to fill the Justin etc void when hes not here! Also I think cutting edge coffee places need to be nudging customers beyond single use plastic. Its gross! So what is the secret sauce?! Its celebrity. What a shocker.. I was hoping it was owned by a notorious brothel Madame or Daddy.. but no.. This is @justinbieber & his Mrs fav caffeine dealership.. I discovered on Google after all the #CommunityGoods evidence didnt add to This Is The Place (finger pointing from Goddess!). Scotty was very popular there. I met a nice man from Turkey who told me about Golden Retriever dogs being rescued by a Brit (of course) from Turkish streets and taken to UK. We Brits love rescuing dogs. Even more than LA folx. Scotty came from @battersea dogs & cats home, London- to now eat treats & be petted by beautiful kidz at hottest coffee shop in LA allegedly. The boy done good. I went back this morning and the line SO long Im skateboarding past after finishing this! PS Im the most famous person here rn. Exactly. Follow @hollywoodhermaphrodite

Very good drinks, decent pricing & they work very efficiently. Only downside is that it gets so busy in there and crowded. They should have a system for where to stand for the line and where to stand to wait for orders.

The vanilla bean latte here is really good. They use fresh vanilla beans and I could see them in the latte. The coffee is perfectly brewed, not too bitter nor too acidic. My wife has the matcha latte and she is very particular about the matcha and said it was delicious. They use cerimonial grade matcha. Craving this place already

This place is very sceney and at some parts of the day the line is wrapped around the street.. BUT Rocky s matcha lattes really are worth the hype.. I wasn t a big matcha fan/ or matcha snob until I had an iced oat matcha latte from here. The breakfast sliders aren t bad either ;)

The most LA coffee shop right now but the coffee and matcha are actually really good. If coming on a weekend get ready to wait in line for 20-30 but they are quick getting drinks out. I got the con de leche and I m not usually a sweet coffee drinker but I would order this again. More of a cinnamon flavor which I prefer over vanilla. Also got the banana bread with passion fruit butter, very delicious
