Bosai coffee is more spacious inside with clean restrooms & Starbucks is only 2 blocks down Inconsistent . I ordered the most popular drink and got an expresso shot and warm milk. No syrup. Parking: There is none outside of the street in front and if you park in the lot around the corner they tow you

not sure why this place feels the need to blast music at 7am, insanely disrespectful to neighbours in surrounding buildings and surely losing potential customers, you can keep on saying we hate hiphop or something but we dont, its just weirdly selfish to do this.

GoodPeople as a place and project so theoretically deserving my full pledge of support and business. In practice, it is a great place to grab coffee and simply walk away from. Their comedy night boasts comics with extreme biases and hostile material towards their own (supposed) customer base. Expect antagonism, homophobia, fetishization, and harassment as routine goings-on. The folks behind Good People may very well be good people, but using pride iconography or marketing to garner a false sense of security from queer people is disgusting. At present, this is NOT a welcoming environment for all, and it should not be advertized as such either explicitly or implicitly until management begins active and ongoing effort to vet those whom they platform. I came seeing myself celebrated in their branding-- and will not plan on returning because thats the opposite of how my handful of experiences here made me feel. I love their almond crossiants, the service workers are kind and friendly, but something needs to change for this business to live up to the low bar of simply being a safe and fun place to visit. I really wish this werent the case, and I hope it can change in the future. I feel like Ive lost a much-loved neighborhood gem. Update: That the owner refuses to take any form of accountability for the experience his patrons walk away with is another facet of value misalignment. This is a nuanced review, I even highlight good aspects of my experiences here, but was met with an attack on my credibility for... offering my opinions on sushi restaurants? Heres hoping the owner takes some of my money and puts it towards finding a good therapist.

A rip off place with mediocre food, drinks and just ok service. Price for egg burrito with a little meat and mostly bread is 20 dollars, coffee over 5 dollars. You charge this much for simple ingredients, pay your employees well and dont ask for tips!

I had the most disappointing experience at Good People Coffee in Santa Monica, CA. The coffee itself was mediocre at best, but what really ruined the visit was the owner s shockingly rude behavior. From the moment I walked in, they were unwelcoming and dismissive. I tried to ask a simple question about their menu, and their response was condescending and unhelpful. It s one thing to have an off day, but the owner s attitude was downright mean. I ve never felt so uncomfortable in a coffee shop before. If you re looking for a warm, inviting place to grab your coffee, I d highly recommend going elsewhere. Venice and Santa Monica have plenty of better spots where customers are actually treated with respect. Also, if you read the negative reviews his responses are completely unprofessional!!! WORST OWNER/CUSTOMER SERVICE I VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!! Everything about this place is disgusting I m not sure why the guy thinks he can talk to people the way he does. This place will go down as the worst business in history in my eyes. Thank you for your time <3

Good People is an excellent chill place to go for real coffee that caters both to hardcore coffee drinkers and those that just want something delicious. By far my favorite coffee shop west of the 405 and it helps that they have wonderful food (the tater tots are stellar) kind and honest staff, a huge variety of drinks (shout out to Dirty Fluffy and The Vanilla Bullshit), and quick service. Despite going here probably a hundred times in the last year, I have very few pictures of their excellent and unique coffee or food. So, here is an odd one of coffee plus my cute dog. Last note, but they are also very dog friendly and have a huge outdoor seating area.

The staff were very friendly and caring. Feels like they enjoy to do what they do good. Nice and chilly atmosphere. Tasty food and good coffee. The place is dogs friendly, they even have treats at the cashier and bowls for water in the backyard terrace. The venue is very clean, there was not a bite of food leftovers on the floor my dog could find. We had really good experience. I wish more places would be like this

I recently visited Good People , and I must say, the experience was anything but good. Despite the promising name, I found myself disappointed on multiple fronts. First and foremost, the atmosphere felt off as soon as I walked in. The owner, who I presume is the one behind the counter, was incredibly rude. It s hard to enjoy a cup of coffee when the person serving you seems irritated by your presence. Now, onto the food what a letdown! Unfortunately, what I received was a soggy, flavorless mess that I couldn t even finish. In short, Good People fails to deliver on its name. With a rude owner and subpar food, I would recommend checking out one of the many other coffee shops in the area where you might find both better service and a delicious meal. Save your time and money there are definitely better options out there!

We went here for the first time a few weeks ago and have already been back. Great place for brunch/lunch/whatever youre after. They have lots of unique coffee drinks and solid food options, and a nice patio area. My partner got the shroom panini both times, and Ive gotten the breakfast tacos and the turkey bacon panini. Highly recommend all! Also recommend getting their salad - very refreshing and comes with really good pickled onions.

First time in - the coffee was good- had a 405 cold brew. The food was not that great- Hot Pocket - croissant was good but the egg was really greasy and Biscuit Sandwich (dont remember the name) - pretty greasy with a dry, hard biscuit. Also the music was really loud and there was no escaping the speakers in the back patio area.

Me and my partner were looking for a coffee place to do some work real quick. The place we originally were gonna go for had all seats taken so we went to the next best, Good people, and Im really glad we did. Barista were nice & sweet, knew what they were doing. FYI it seems like it was outside seating only but its covered so that didnt bother us. Didnt cross my mind to look for outlets incase people were wondering if there were any, so i dont know! Drinks however....I got an espresso tonic and partner got an Oolong tea. Loved my drink!! I dont think you could go wrong with that, but my partner was mid about his tea. After staying there for 2 hours or so, the vibe was really nice (great music), and the smell of the food people had ordered made me kneel over lol. Unfortunately, we didnt have time to order food but most definitely next time. We agreed to come back again thank you!

Tried the chicken bacon wrap version of Avo Bacon Cibatta... not as filling, plus someone in our party ordered it and salad was much more volume than my wrap also... both came with same salad. Dunno whats up there... anywho, large party of us, 8 and all ordered differently. All had some similar volume discrepancies... one lady had a mustard issue, then her tater tots seemed to grow and shrink and grow again as it got corrected to what she ordered... so... I dunno...

For a place called goodpeople, it doesn t have good vibes. The food was perfectly fine but the patio was a little sad. My biggest frustration is that they added a 35% tip on top of my purchase which I did not authorize. I ordered a latte and a burrito. It came out to $26. I thought that was pretty high but I shrugged and paid anyway and I put a 20% tip on top. However, I checked my bank and the charge was much higher than 26 + 20%. It made me feel icky that they would do this. I will not be returning.

While visiting today, I was troubled to see someone smoking in the outdoor dining area. When I notified the workers, they told me that GoodPeople allowed people to smoke in the outdoor dining area. This is clearly illegal in LA (41.50.B.2.c), and creates an unsafe and exclusionary environment for anyone that may be sensitive to second hand smoke. I talked with the owner, but his understanding of the law differed, and believed that allowing smoking created a more inclusive environment. This is a great cafe otherwise, but anyone who may be sensitive to second hand smoke should be aware of this issue. Kid-friendliness: Hard to say a place is kid friendly when they allow smoking in the only dining area.

Purple nurple (ube espresso drink) is super delicious and unique! Their vanilla latte is also one of the best I have EVER had. Both the hot and iced drinks are perfect. The avocado toast is delicious and so is the shroom panini - food and coffee 5 stars for sure. Taking off one star for the service - I ve come here many times and almost all the baristas are friendly and nice. However, this last weekend I came here and the barista (mainly the one with the medium brown wavy hair w a heart pendant necklace) gave us a terrible experience. We ordered over $70 worth of food and drinks, including three types of espressos from the espresso menu. One of the espressos was not the one we had ordered, and when we politely pointed this out we were met with no apologies and a sullen glare as she dumped it out. I think she was mad at the curly haired girl who initially took our order, but she took it out on us. When I tried to smile and cheer her up she just said it s fine. I had been a regular customer but after this experience am reluctant to return because of this attitude, I am afraid to tell her in the future if my order is wrong.

Between the bucket of cigarette butts eight feet from our table (the only one available on the back patio), the swarm of flies it attracted, and the fact that the staff seemed annoyed both taking our orders and bringing out our food, I have no desire to come back. Their beef shoulder is slow cooked with plantains, and then added to a corn tortilla with scrambled cage free eggs, cilly sauce, and chipotle aisle - 3 savory, sweet, juicy tacos for $14. Hip and fun cafe/restaurant. Staff is very friendly, music is good, and food is very high quality. Outdoor seating is plentiful and cute.

Do yourselves a favor, read the negative reviews as well as the responses. It will give you an extremely clear idea of what youre in for. Truly awful experience.

Heard about this place from a colleague, and came in with high expectations. This place definitely didnt disappoint. I knew it was gonna be a good time when I saw the rainbow patterned sidewalk outside the storefront and racoon bandana logo. Its absolute vibes, from the bright, mismatched chairs on their outdoor patio to the Doja Cat playing from the overhead speakers. The food is delicious too, and I love that they have vegan and vegetarian options. I got a Brekkie Sando with Hangover Sauce and butter grilled mushrooms on a sesame bagel bun, which was filling and satisfying. I also ordered an iced Dirty Fluffy with oat milk and was instantly obsessed. Be warned, though, they dont have Wi-Fi and laptops are prohibited on the weekends, but on the plus side they are very dog-friendly, so it all works out. Needless to say, its money well spent and I cant wait to introduce this place to my friends.

Great place to hang out with friends as long as you don t order the coffee and get gaslit by the owner. Coffee takes after the owner; bitter.

Their coffee, especially their espresso, is really sour amazing atmosphere though. Edit: hehe owner is sour just like his coffee.

This place rules. The Jr mint latte is the way to go. The food is sick too; if youre on the patio in the evening you can order from sasaya, the Japanese place next door for food too.

Smash burger is a absolute joke, drinks are made very poorly. Do not recommend. Service is very poor. But again, they probably got some to say in the comment section.

edit: yes thanks for your concern I am indeed vaccinated. While i understand everyone has their own needs, mask mandates are in full effect in LA county still. not only for your selfish needs but for everyone s safety and protection, regardless of vax status. Upon looking at other reviews on google, yelp, etc my concern seems to be shared amongst others. way to take responsibility of your own establishment. been here on several occasions and coffee is great. However this time going in, Tues8/10 around 4:30p, the guy there on bar was not wearing a mask and it was so off putting.

I was a customer here and ordered a The KetoRito and Flat White, so as i told them through Square before , i liked barista , was very fast , but the omelette( was good) took to make minimum 35 min , but the reply was so bad . Thank you very much for your honest opinion about your customers , thats how you think about almost everyone who didnt like something during visiting your place .
