Yellow chairs welcome you to the lovely outdoor seating . Everything we got was soooo delicious! I normally get juice for drinks when I have brunch, but this time I really wanted to try their cafe cado which is coffee with avocado cream. The avocado cream was thick and sweet. For those who are not a big fan of sweet drinks, ask for light on sweetness! Chasu hash was so soft and flavorful, really liked the poached egg as well. Tres leches pancake, soaked in sweet milk, was the perfect pancake version of the cake. The staffs were attentive even though it was pretty packed. Overall, loved everything about this place!

Top notch, great quality, great staff and service. There might be a bit of a wait but it was quick service after. I tried the coconut creme w/strawberries pancake, super delish. Also not pictured was their chicken sausage - simply perfect - I cannot remember the last time I had a handmade sausage patty and so good. Had a latte - great tasting coffee! I have a feeling everything else at this place is just as delish.

At first glance, Jist may not seem like much with its unassuming exterior, but its a true hidden gem for brunch enthusiasts. Despite my sisters initial judgment of the place looking ghetto, the culinary experience inside was nothing short of delightful. The highlight was the omurice special a shrimp fried rice curry that was incredibly flavorful. Though the staff is small, leading to a wait during busy times, its absolutely worth it. Operating from 8 am to 1:30 pm, Jist is ideal for brunch, but its wise to call ahead for large parties due to limited seating. In essence, Jist proves that you really cant judge a book by its cover, offering a memorable brunch experience thats both unique and satisfying.

Ive been here a couple times. The food is very good. It can get busy because its so good. Be prepared to wait a bit but it is worth the wait. I got their famous Chashu Hash with the sous vide eggs and a side of rice. It was soooo good. The chashu is a bit sweet and salty, their marinade is amazing. The gooey egg yolk adds a richness and eaten with rice that soaks up the marinade & yolk completes the flavor & texture profile. It is so good Ive ordered it every time. My wife got the Creme Fraiche Pancakes. In this COVID times it is harder to eat here, but the outdoor patio is used. Indoor dining area is closed. But COVID also created online ordering for pickup. Please continue to support local businesses like this. This is a great breakfast/brunch spot in LA.

My friend and I, decided to go this on last minute because the pictures were appealing. The most of the service is toughness. The menu is a qr code, ypu order online and pay online. Once you order and pay they take your food. Food is pricey but its very worth it, they make food that its not your usual. I order the crab meat patty and the avocado coffee! Thus place will not disappoint you. Parking: This place has a parking space you have to pay. But I parked 3 blocks away and walked.

Cute cafe next to the iconic old church. The seating is outdoors but covered so the atmosphere is very nice. The menu has great selection of both savory and sweet options, and the coffee is great Vegetarian options: Most of the sweet section is vegetarian, a lot of pancakes Dietary restrictions: Wouldnt recommend if you want something savory and you want pork, most of the meat if not all is pork. But there are plenty of pancake options if you want something sweet, and a scrambled egg dish that is vegetarian Parking: Free parking is hard to come by but there are paid meters, paid garages nearby, and the new station is very close if you want to avoid driving Kid-friendliness: No kids menu but kid-friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, and plenty of space for wheelchair seating

Had their Ghirardelli hot chocolate , the best hot chocolate I had in LA & Minnesota so far . Stronger chocolate taste and less sweet (requested less syrup).

Good lunch option, full of people during lunch, which says it s popular. The chashu hash was recommended, similar to a sweet sour pork dish. I had the chocolate banana, Pancakes which ere really good, fluffy and filling. My chicken burrito was very bland as was the faux Frenchman - toasted croissant with shaved ham, scrambled eggs, avocado, sliced tomato, cheddar, Dijon mustard. Just clear they don t use any seasoning for eggs. One server seating everyone outside and handling the incoming customers to wait and he was efficient and friendly. Payment is done via phone.

With that in mind, they will check up on you from time to time to see if you need anything. I ordered one of the Japenese coffees, which tasted very good. For food, i ordered the porky omurice. It tasted pretty good and was quite filling. The place is quite pricey so keep that in mind. Like I mentioned before though, it is high quality. I was seated outside, which was a very lovely area. They have a yelp wait-list. Ordering is done by QR code at your table. You complete the order online and tip before they bring anything out. Strawberry Dream was really yummy and refreshing but the cup was completely full of ice cubes. Egg Coffee was good. Lucky Ducky was pretty unique. They only provide plastic utensils so it was a little hard to cut the scallion pancake with the plastic knife. There were a lot of duck pieces and two eggs. Fancy French is French toast using creme brulee batter which was so good! 10/10 would come again. Just bring your own water if you need that. Their water smelled a little off.

Amazing first time to this cafe. Was recommended by a friend and I usually eat in the area but have never noticed this small shop. This area can be difficult to find parking, there is meter street parking in front and several paid parking structures in the area. The cafe currently closes at 2pm, so most of your food ventures will have to be within a brunch time frame, but I would definitely put this as a priority location to eat if your in the area. I ordered the Char Shu Hash Skillet, the portion is perfect for two and you will definitely not have any leftovers. The meat is marinated in a delicious sauce and the meat is very tender, served on a skillet with potatoes, two poached eggs on top, and a bowl of white rice. Its definitely not a light breakfast, but a must try!!

The hash is a must! Get the extra side of rice - you ll need it. The crème brûlée waffles were disappointing and mushy. I ll come back for the hash though.

Food was okay, but very overpriced. One pancake was $5.

Great little breakfast dinner by little Tokyo. Its on the outskirts of little Tokyo so not a lot of foot traffic here usually. Ordered the pork belly, pancake and burritos. A lot of people think the pork belly is too sweet but I think its perfect to my liking. Service is great and you can bring your dog here as well.

Just to get the jist of it all, super trendy spot with great location down the street from little Tokyo , walking distance plenty of electric scooters to get around. Don t walk in with coffee from another establishment I did that and they politely asked me to get rid of it so I drank it and was high off caffeine lol. But super good spot the pancakes are fire as well. Check me out on YouTube - IfAndyCantHelpYou
