Amazing food and drinks! The banana with oats sounded interesting, so I decided to try it and ended up finishing it before I could get a photo. It was delicious! Employees were friendly and the duck salad I ordered was fresh and crispy. It was my first time trying duck! Looking forward to returning to try more items on the menu.

It's one of my favourite places to get Matcha.
The ice cream portion is very generous! The desserts are delicious. They are a little bit on the sweeter side, but I don’t mind that sometimes. There are so many drink options and savoury dishes, too!

The staff are incredibly kind!

The restrooms are clean.

The only thing is that there are only a few parking spots available.

Unbelievable and Unprofessional Experience

I recently walked into this shop and couldn’t believe what I saw. An employee stormed in, absolutely furious, and started yelling at the manager about not being paid. From what I overheard, they haven’t been paid for weeks! I mean, how is this even happening in a business?

To make matters worse, I ordered a matcha latte, and it was absolutely terrible – bland and tasteless. Honestly, it felt like they didn’t even care about the quality of what they were serving. After witnessing the chaos and tasting that awful drink, I left the shop as soon as possible. How can a business expect to function when they don’t even pay their employees or serve decent drinks?

Until they get their act together, treat their staff with basic respect, and improve their products, I won’t be coming back. I’d advise others to think twice before supporting a place like this.

I got the salmon toast and iced rose matcha latte. I went earlier in the day so I didn’t get any of the slow service others were referring to maybe because it was no one there. The rose matcha latte tasted as expected and I especially liked the serving size for the price. The salmon toast was presented beautifully and tasted just as good as it looked!

Updated review: Their menu is much more comprehensive now! But the layered cake is still my favorite. Amazing top-notch drinks with some of the best matcha in LA if not the best.

Cute place! The lighting is very interesting- reminded me of the tea ceremony brushes. Immersive experience of a match wonderland. We tried 69 layer crepe cake— so good! Authentic flavor and not too sweet. The music was a marked down… kinda boring and repetitive. Another thing was that there is no decaf or regular coffee… I guess they want to focus on matcha drinks… but would be nice to have 1-2 brew options. (They do have espresso, just not for me at night) will come back again😊

We always want to visit this cute matcha cafe and today We finally got a chance to try it!
We are so exciting so we order some of everything!

I can taste the matcha they served is premium quality. And my friend like it the matcha drink is not too bitter and not over sweet. Most of their menu only use the right amount of sweetness which i appreciate a lots!

The 2 girls at the front they helped taking our order they both were very friendly and patiently answers all our questions.

Their interior is very upscale decorated. It’s a perfect place to hang out with friends, do homework, work or meeting. Enjoyed their food and service and we can't wait to return for more!

Since they’re desserts are too pretty so we took tons of the pictures!

On September 24th, my friend and I walked in to this cafe trying to get something to drink. We ordered two drink and we waited for 15 minutes but the order before us hasnt even started. We asked the staff there who said we need to wait for 10 more minutes for the drink. I ask the staff if he started to prepare our order and if not can we cancel the order because we are going to be late for our dinner. The staff said he can cancel the order for me since he hasnt even started the order. I did what he said and he told me my refund is on the way. The next day, the credit are still issueed in my statement so i called my credit card and dispute the transation. The transation was disputed successfully in October, but this morning, i received an email from my credit card that this transation is being reversed and they asked if i have more information regarding this transaction. Why would I have a proof of me not having the order? Usually the refund will come and I never encounter similar situation before. I am very disaapointed in this cafe as I never receive the order and the staff told me the order was being properly canceled but i still need to pay. Why should I pay for their mistake?

Ive been here twice to get an iced matcha latte, and each time, they are out of essential things!!! The first time I went, they were out of matcha and all desserts! Like why are they even open at that point lol... its literally called Matcha Village, how can you have no matcha? So, I left and didnt get anything, but I wanted to come back some time because I heard the matcha was good. I came back a few days ago just to get matcha, and they were out of regular milk. The only option they had was coconut milk, which didnt really seem like a good option for a latte but I got it anyway since I had taken the bus ride just to try a matcha from here. When I took my first sip I was disgusted. The matcha had a strange bitter flavor, almost like it was burnt, and there was almost no sweetness too it, even though I selected 50% sweetness. It definitely wasnt the worst matcha Ive ever had, but it was up there. I added some sugar to sweeten it but the taste of the matcha and coconut milk was not good at all so I could only bring myself to drink half. Also, it was almost $8, I feel like I wasted so much money...! They were out of all desserts and ice cream that day as well, so the selection is very low. I wish it would have been good because Id be going back all the time! But unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. Although, the inside is cute and maybe good for studying.

There is the option to order and pay at a kiosk. The drinks are delicious. We ordered the chicken tenders, and there is a signature matcha sauce! Setting seems great for studying aside from honking cars outside.

Came here to get some work done on a weekday. Not too busy and very quiet, other than the typical street noise from outside. I got the Oolong Milk Tea with boba; without tax and tip, it was $5.95 which is easily the cheapest boba Ive found in LA. The drink was good and boba was perfect (not too soft not too hard/stale). Didnt have a chance to try the food but theres lots of real food rather than snacks and it all looks good. Free 2 hour parking in the shopping complexs parking structure. Definitely coming back!

I ordered a mango matcha creamy milk, and it was fabulous, to say the least! I really enjoyed their extensive drink selection and the variety of milk options available. While the milk substitutions were a bit pricey, thats quite common nowadays. The matcha was of excellent quality and didn t have that powdery taste you often find elsewhere. The only downside was that it took a while for my friends and me to receive our drinks.

Has WiFi so a great place to do work! Most tables in here were filled with people working on their laptops so it was a nice quiet productive atmosphere and it s also very aesthetic inside. The drinks are also great! They are doing a free matcha latte promo too!

actually the worst experience i ve ever had. the workers were so useless , i went to get ice cream and the girl worker who was in a brown outfit and hat had terrible attitude, made us wait for the matcha ice cream and when we came back it ran out. then her and some other guy with long hair and the weirdest hat ever charged us for a cake just to tell us it was out of stock, pathetic service. and the guy also said we don t care . unbelievable

I cant comment on the food because O never got it. I placed an order and they cant find it. Already have been charged by the bank and the poor girl has no idea what to do and her manager, Fiona, is completely MIA. Just wasted 45 minutes and am down $40 and still hungry.

The owner of this place needs to be better. The poor barista behind the counter was overworked to the max. She needs a second person to help her on a busy Saturday. She did her best to accommodate everyone, but when you have 15 orders and you are 1 person, you can only do so much. Hire another barista. Be better. Other than that the drink was good. Also the kiosk ordering system is bad and was screwing up peoples orders. The system was so bad and the barista was so over worked that some people asked for refunds. The barista was so over worked she couldnt even look through order history to make sure people actually paid and received orders in the system. You know what would solve that? A Co Worker to help when it gets busy.

Everything is great, but the table is too tall, making it uncomfortable to rest your hands on it. I hope the owner sees this review and considers changing the tables. People will definitely want to sit longer and potentially order more if they make this change.

The vibes here are wonderful - great place to sit and talk. I got a matcha crepe cake and it was fantastic - not too sweet but not overly bitter either. The 2 stars though is for their iced matcha drinks, I dont want to be mean but the strawberry matcha and regular matcha I got on two different days tasted like straight mucky water :( + the service can be slow so just be expected to wait!

Atmosphere is very nice. But, hmm, worst service so far. When I came in, I waited near the counter for 3-5 minutes, the ladies behind the counter didn t say anything to me, didn t look at me, nothing. I get that they might be busy, but they didn t even ask me if I want to order something. I had to ask them and put the order in. I am waiting for my drink and it s been 40-50 minutes. I am literally not joking. I still didn t get it yet. No updates from their employees or anything. Sometimes there is even no one at the counter. They don t have a lot of customers in the store, including me, only 5-8 people. But how is it taking that long?? Another customer had also been waiting for 40 minutes and got so mad for this situation. She complained so loudly and stormed out of the store. AC is not working so it s really hot inside. They do have wifi, which is nice, but the tables are a bit too high for writing or using laptops. The employees are in desperate need of some more training. I already saw two customers who ordered something but left without getting their drinks. And at least 4 people left because they were waiting at the counter for 5 minutes, but no one serves them at all. Where are the employees? Honestly, I am usually very patient but this wait time for a drink is just ridiculous.

The drink itself was good, the atmosphaire and facility is great , but I would like to ask you to change the cups. Suddenly, I felt a sharp plastic piece in my mouth as I was finishing the drink. Inside the cup, there are some kind of boards on the sides, and apparently one of them broke off and ended up in my mouth. I could have swallowed it. I wouldnt want this to happen to anyone else.

Order kiosk kept messing up our order so it took a long time to finally get it through. Waited over 20 minutes for my order. People who ordered after us were served their orders before we were. When I walked up to the counter to ask about our order, the Asian lady sighed, rolled her eyes at me and just pointed to the end counter. Clearly she was bothered that a paying customer asked a question. Turns out our order was sitting on the counter but no one bothered to tell us. Taste wasn t bland and not very good. Horrible experience. Never coming back.

Waited 50minutes for my drink after the guy told me repeatedly it was coming. Well the drink never came. 3 other people waiting on food/drinks had the same problem while I was there. The place is poorly ran and the 2 employees working had no idea what was going on. It wasn t even that busy or I would have been more understanding. Never coming back, don t waste your time here.

I came here recently and I ordered a cinnamon latte with oat milk, when I received the drink there was no cinnamon and it was regular milk which I cannot have, when I asked the girl working there they said that they had run out of cinnamon and proceeded to tell me it was oat milk when I could tell it was not. She then went to remake my drink, which took about 30 extra minutes, despite the fact that I had already been waiting so long for the original drink. I would have just preferred to get a refund considering the fact that the service was so slow and the drink was made poorly and incorrectly.

I came here earlier today at 7:55pm and ordered at 8pm. I ordered a strawberry matcha (It was mediocre at best). I expected it to take at most 10 minutes but was disappointed that I finally received my drink at 8:45pm despite the fact that it was almost empty in the store. It took 45 minutes for my drink. the 3 people that were behind me had waited a long time too but were given their drinks before me. When I went up to the counter after 20 minutes, Fiona, the girl working there, was shocked to hear that my order was taken so long ago. She then said that it is a tough drink to make so she wanted to make the others first. She had already been making the same strawberry matcha for other customers and I don t think it was reasonable to wait 45 minutes because my drink was so difficult to make . I understand that she was working a solo shift but the amount of time I waited was absurd. Not to mention, she also made multiple other drinks incorrectly. There should be more staff on call. Overall if you are looking for a quick, affordable and tasty drink, I don t recommend this place.

Peking duck crepe was 90% lettuce, 5% sauce, and 5% actual duck. Had high hopes but was pretty let down by it :( tables are also too high for the wall bench. Dragon ball matcha and service was nice though!

I was in the area and matcha village was one of the few drink places that was open earlier. The store has a nice atmosphere with cute decorations but there was an odd choice of having political content playing on the tv (turns out it was a really long ad). The service was great and the person taking orders was very nice. I ordered the matcha tornado and wished it had a stronger matcha flavor.

I really wanted to like this place; I did. Unfortunately, I ordered a simple hot matcha and a bbq beef crepe and it took the two employees 35 minutes to make my food and drink. Another customer who is a self-proclaimed regular was giving me the tea as we waited. She said service used to be great, but that the boss keeps firing all of the employees and so they are short staffed again . I mean, if I had waited that long and everything had been amazing, I may have looked the other way, but my matcha was soooo bitter. I drink unsweetened matcha and this is the real way you can tell the quality. I ve never had bitter matcha at Cha Cha Matcha or even La La Land Cafe. And the food was mediocre at best and cold even though she had just made it in the back. So disappointed.

If you love everything matcha you definitely need to try this place out. I saw this on the instagram reels a while back and finally had a chance to come try it out. I ordered a matcha ice cream cone and a rose matcha latte. The rose latte is very smooth and rich. The ice cream cone is chocolate My boyfriend ordered the coconut dragon ball Z and wow that drink is yummy too, one of the ingredients: barley pops reminded us of this childhood cereal honey smacks. There s also cute matcha signs like everything is so matcha better with you. Oh by the way the place is in a shopping center so parking is free, there s a Marshall s, Michael s, and Whole Foods.

The atmosphere is great! Warm, cute interior, quiet enough for conversation after dinner. The music choice is a bit interesting? We had the 69 (nice) Matcha Mille Crepe Cake, Matcha Cream Cheese cake, and Matcha Latte (Iced) The Mille crepe looks fantastic! Super pretty. I love a good presentation. It tastes super good, heavy on the matcha flavor. The cream is cheese foam, so don t add it if you don t like it! The matcha latte is not very sweet, quite light, which is how I prefer it! The cheese cake is more mousse than cake, but it s delicious too.

Looking for a sweet treat to cool your mouth after eating a scalding ramen or udon? A cozy atmosphere to study with a friend? This is the place for you! Ordered the matcha waffle cone, and it was the perfect balance between sweet and earthy. The vibes were great and the service was greater! They ran out of ice cream as they were serving me and gave me a slightly smaller portion along with a full refund! Highly recommend (Excuse the image, I just couldn t wait to dig in)

came here because my friend and i were craving matcha ice cream after lunch we got the matcha waffle cone, and it was super yummy and super rich. loved how chill and warm the ambience was inside as well! i d love to come back here to study and grab a drink. thanks matcha village!!!

I got the matcha Ice cream and my girlfriend got the Matcha Coconut Dragon Ball Z! It was delicious and I would definitely recommend coming back here again. They also had a very nice and relaxing atmosphere good for meet ups and getting work done.

We wanted to give this place a try since the bbt store next to it was closed. The lady taking our order was nice. However we waited for at least 15 minutes for our drinks even though there was no one ahead of us in the store. The drinks were subpar at best - we had the strawberry matcha latte which tasted like a watered down strawberry milkshake and the oolong milk tea with black boba that tasted like powdered milk with day-old pearls. Paying $20 for both drinks was a waste unfortunately. Best of luck to the store but I dont think Ill be coming back.

Good Matcha Selection from varieties of drinks and pastries! I wish they had more options for flower syrup, other than that, they have a good selection of basic flavors like vanilla, honey, and many more.

I come on my 30 minute lunch so sometimes they take a bit long for that short period but other than that I love their breakfast menu. I love getting the breakfast sandwich kinda sad they don t do it on a brioche bun anymore and instead use sandwich bread.

Had ordered the matcha cheesecake, tiramisu, chocolate Mille crepe and an ice matcha coconut dragon ball z .soo good. And the take out came with a little cute carry bag.

Came here on a rainy day with friends, so it was nice to sit down in a dry and warm environment. We had the dragon Ball z matcha drink, the fruit box, and tiramisu dessert. They were all pretty delicious and we had a nice time sitting down and chatting with our food. Would recommend this place if youre looking for matcha related foods!

Cute place! The lighting is very interesting- reminded me of the tea ceremony brushes. Immersive experience of a match wonderland. We tried 69 layer crepe cake so good! Authentic flavor and not too sweet. The music was a marked down kinda boring and repetitive. Another thing was that there is no decaf or regular coffee I guess they want to focus on matcha drinks but would be nice to have 1-2 brew options. (They do have espresso, just not for me at night) will come back again

2nd time coming back here. The matcha drinks are amazing and so high quality! I got the Matcha mega tornado and it was delicious, highly recommend. They also have a good spread of tables making it perfect to study at. Will be coming back very soon!

The location is convenient and the atmosphere is perfect for students looking for a cafe to study at. Theres free wifi and a nice restroom. Ive been coming here for the last 2 years as my go-to matcha place and usually get the Goin bananas drink.

I LOVE coming to Matcha Village every time Im in Santa Monica :D The matcha / black sesame swirl soft serve was soooo incredible! I also recommend the peach milk tea, its a really delicious oolong.

Disappointed by the prices (wow, pricey) and the fact they were out of 3 items especially any soft serve which is why we drove over! Also disappointed that they wouldn t offer a discount given the lack of inventory. The matcha Mille fille cake was good especially with the coconut sauce and I did enjoy their matcha white chocolate chip cookie.

Servers were incredibly nice. The hot drinks were flavorful and cozy for the cold day my girlfriend and I visited. Definitely a place to sit, rest your feet for a bit, and relax.
