The soft serve is organic.

The soft serve is beautifully green and powdered with matcha dust. They serve it in an aesthetically pleasant form that helps you forget the monstrous shapes mcdonals soft serve has. The matcha dust is a nice touch but it’s messy so be careful.

The spoons they have are annoyingly flimsy. Service is meh. Except for the fact they are well trained soft servers.

The store is nice enough and the atmosphere is kind of cool but the touristy feel detracts from it. I’ve been here quite a few times and I can say the quality has always been good.

Parking in the structure underneath is available.

If you’re particular about your Matcha you will find that Midori Matcha matches your expectations. They use ceremonial-grade matcha so the colors are vibrant and the flavor is well-rounded. I felt that their matcha had a little kick to it, very subtle but it was that note presented itself at the very end of a sip.

Their prices are very reasonable at $6 for a matcha latte and $3 for their matcha ice cream.

It’s a beautiful establishment, the interiors are wooden and inviting. The shop is located right across a water fountain and has plenty of seating inside and outside.

The employees are knowledgeable and friendly. It’s one of my favorite places downtown to grab authentic matcha 💚

LOVE the fact that this is a matcha cafe and only sells matcha items… I got the the matcha soft serve! They didn’t have the matcha and hojicha twist at the time I went but the matcha sufficed. It was really good and tasted very genuine and had matcha powder sprinkled over it. I had it in a cone - it was the right sweetness level and the shop also had other matcha pastries that looked really good. Would 100% come back here, the atmosphere of it I think wasn’t as I expected. The shop itself is clean but seems older - not trendy or aesthetically pleasing as other cafes in DTLA or ktown. But the items they sell are definitely quality and worth trying! Can’t wait to try the lattes next’

The matcha tastes watery sometimes. If you order it without any additions, like blueberries, etc., you mostly just taste the milk with a hint of matcha. Theres way too much ice, and if you ask for light ice, So the drink gets smaller. I wish I could taste the matcha flavor more. I can t give a bad rating because their ice cream is delightful.

WAY too slow. Came in on a Monday around noon and waited 45 minutes for a single drink. The staff members were casually chatting on their phone in the back. I will never be back here. Completely unacceptable service.

The food is the only good thing about this place. The service is terrible In how theyre all over the place. I ordered a matcha strawberry late, very good. And I Also ordered a matcha ice-cream, I dont know how it tadte since they had me waiting for 22min. It was also horribly humid. Tried the matcha swirl on a cone. It was okay. The swirl consists of matcha, and vanilla rose. The waffle cone was delicious, but the soft serve just didnt do it for me.

The drinks here are such high quality, I would say it s the best in the area. I absolutely love the Hojicha Latte and I appreciate that when they hand you your drink, they ask you to taste and see if there are any adjustments that need to be made. I haven t gotten any of the food yet but it always looks delicious. Definitely my favorite latte!

I thoroughly miss the option of making the matcha lattes a standard matcha tea. The Blueberry Matcha Tea (made with just water) that they used to have on their menu brought me consistently on a 45 minute drive just to get that. They have changed management since then and are extremely strict about asking for something thats off-menu or is an adjustment to what they have on the menu. I asked for a Blueberry Matcha Water, they said they couldnt do it, I asked if they could just replace the milk with water and still charge me for the Blueberry Matcha Latte (which wouldve effectively saved them money), and they said they have to stick strictly to the recipes. I miss this place dearly, its become a matcha place that generally serves things you could easily get elsewhere rather than just here. The Blueberry Matcha Latte was ok, but far too heavy for what I wanted. Service was very nice and they were apologetic about not being able to make any changes. I wont be coming back unless Im dragged back here. Time to look for a new matcha spot.

I really wanted to love this place. They boast their organic matcha however almost all of their drinks are artificially flavored. I went in with the intention to order the rose latte but when I asked about the ingredients, the server admitted it was a rose flavored syrup . So I asked about the vanilla matcha instead and same thing , vanilla flavored syrup. Alt sweetener options are also lacking. It would be nice to have organic honey. For the price you pay, you re much better off going to a cheap boba shop. I won t be coming back.

Ive never had matcha drinks before, so I cant say if its authentic, but it tasted fishy? And kind of medicinal. I tried the matcha soft serve, matcha vanilla latte, and matcha hot cocoa. The soft serve was good. The other two were quite bitter and fishy. It didnt taste sweet like I thought it would. It was also pricey. I would only get the ice ream again.

after having sashimi for lunch, I was in need of a little sweet. And soft serve ice cream was on my radar! So glad Midori was located right across from our restaurant. And it was not crowded, like the Japanese Villiage Plaza. Major plus. The matcha swirl was so tasty. Made with organic Japanese matcha, not sweet but so flavorful and super healthy for you! Everytime I drop by LA for a visit I often come by to have a treat here. Anything hojicha; softserve or a latte usually.. Lame part about today was one of the machines was down so no softserve besides matcha. No biggie. Still love coming here and hope they stick around until my next visit.

I really, really love Midori Matcha! Of everything, I pretty much always go for a large matcha latte, which comes out to $6.90 after tax, or $8 after tip. This place has the right vibe / music / AC / outdoor seating as well. They don t have a bathroom, but they don t charge for alternative milk (oat, soy, etc) so that s chill. Try their matcha or rose ice cream as well! I tag them all the time in my social media @midorimatcha and would definitely recommend it!

Overall: 4.5/5 (dine in) I tried their matcha & hojicha swirl soft serve ($6.25) and it was so good! I thought it was way better than the Tea Master Matcha one. The flavors stood out and tasted good - no bitterness. It didnt melt easily either. We came on Friday night but there was no line. The soft serve came out immediately. I got the rose matcha latte and matcha scone. I ll start with the good things. What I enjoyed about both of these items was that they were not too sweet. I didn t even make any modifications to the sweetness. The rose flavor was light and not overwhelming. I had mine made with oat milk, as recommended by the barista. I would honestly skip on the scone next time. It was just a dry piece of carbs, like a large crouton. I didn t taste the matcha either.

Match soft serve swirl cone - 5 ! I went here in March but neglected to review the delicious cone I had at Midori Matcha Cafe until now. I am ashamed to admit I cant recall the second flavor I had in the soft serve swirl cone I enjoyed. I want to say milk tea or something similar. Regardless, if you enjoy matcha flavors and soft serve ice cream then this is a special treat. They are located in Little Tokyo in the same mall as the Japanese market. They have a nice selection of matcha drinks and deserts. Great place if youre in the area and/or are craving something matcha.

I stopped by during my lunch break and ordered a blueberry matcha green tea drink. I dont know if the barista didnt mix the drink well enough but the drink was rather watery and I choked on the powder. Also it was probably like 70 percent ice. Not flavorful, bitter tasting, and not thoroughly mixed. I thought about going back but I didnt have the time as I was going back to the office.

Walked in and the gentleman behind the counter was quick to acknowledge me and greeted me. I looked at the menu and asked for the Matcha BlueBerry Latte. He took my payment and started on my drink. I waited for about three maybe four minutes. It was ready. If I may, it was presented(handed) to me quite fancy! The gentleman behind the counter hoped I enjoyed it and thanked me for my patience. Thanks you sir! The drink itself, I finished mixing. Note: Dont mix with the straw! My straw was done by the third ten second swish, Lol. Swish/Mix with your hand in a circular motion! I have been enjoying the drink and regret I didnt stop sooner to try this place out. I will be returning to try the other drinks soon. Thank you. 04/15/2021: Returned to try the Matcha Rose Latte. The essence of rose is present. I loved it. Natural taste. Glad I was able to try it. God bless.

Truely disappointed the matcha soft serve cone was not much bigger than this emoji Pretty sad for Little Tokyo There are so so many places all over LA that have proper sizes & ceremonial matcha that have better prices too!

This is a cafe where you can enjoy rich matcha that even Japanese people will be very satisfied with. I had a matcha latte and matcha cheesecake. There are electrical outlets available and the interior is stylish, so you can relax.

Amazing quality of matcha to match a good variety of drinks! The friendly, accommodating service really stuck out to me as well. Definitely recommend giving the matcha float a try!

Really good high quality matcha. Its delicious and the flavors taste natural. I tried the matcha rose and the matcha strawberry. The matcha rose is good, both flavors are powerful and go well together, but rose might be a little too strong for some people. The matcha strawberry is great! Still need to try the others, but there isnt a great variety, which is okay but could improve.

Top quality matcha and matcha lattes. All dairy-free milk substitutes are available. Best of all, everyone who works there, including the owner, is the absolute nicest. Always leave feeling warm/hygge-y and well taken care of

Visited DTLA yesterday and I would have to say their matcha ice cream is the best I ve ever had! The staff was super kind and quick with serving us, would highly recommend coming here :)

Nothing like authentic matcha green tea ice cream to top off your visit to Little Tokyo in Los Angeles! I cant speak for the other items on the menu but the ice cream always leaves me refreshed and wanting more . Its not my favorite matcha place but its definitely up there in terms of how good it is!

After visiting Japan, Ive been searching for a softserve in LA that matches the intensity and richness of the hojicha flavor. This is it here - they serve matcha, ube, and hojicha. All three are so delicious, but I will go for the matcha-hojicha swirl every time.

Yummy matcha soft serve with different options for those who arent a fan of matcha, or want to try something new! Ube, and hojicha were excellent as well. A lovely option if you cant decide between hojicha and matcha, is having both in swirl form.
