TLDR: mid We had high hopes for this place but were let down. The breakfast burritos were subpar. Both burritos were lacking in the amount of eggs they held. The burritos were overrun with potatoes, which were hard & bland. The sauces & guac were good but its never a good sign when the condiments are better than the food itself. The burritos were not worth the price at all.

Food was great, service was below average. We waited over an hour and saw people that ordered after us get their food before us. We kindly checked 5 times and were dismissed and just told it s busy. Common acknowledgment would have gone a long way and avoided a bad review. We asked for our food on plates even though we ordered through the QR code. Food still came in boxes, they really could have given AF about us. It s ok to be busy on a Sunday morning, but kindness and care go a long way. I worked in hospitality for many years, I know the drill.

Oh man. This place is fantastic. As you can see we tried a lot of food. The burritos were a big hit, as well as the tacos. But for me, the absolute must have - legendary item on this menu is the the Horchata Latte. Sweet baby Jesus it is good. Certainly top 3 for coffee drinks I ve had in LA. It is soooooo dang good I would come back out of my way just for that latte. Man I would pay good money to know how to make a drink like that! Definitely will be back. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available too!

I don t normally eat burritos, but I have to say how delicious and generously sized my al pastor burrito was! It had a nice balance of fresh ingredients rice, beans, avocado, and al pastor meat all wrapped in a soft, fresh tortilla. It wasn t overly salty, and I could really taste the subtle spice flavors. The enchilada in green sauce was also delicately prepared and equally enjoyable. I ordered both to-go but ended up eating some there. Just a heads-up: seating is limited both inside and outside.

The food was really good. The Chipotle burrito was very tasty and filling. My husband, who does not tend to like Mexican style foods, cleaned his plate. Avoid going here in the morning during weekdays. Apparently they open sometimes at 9, sometimes 8:30 or when the cashier gets here. Complete disregard for their posted hours. I waited outside their closed establishment for almost 20 minutes past their opening time waiting for them to finally hand me my online order. I only got it because I knocked a few times. Being so close to a school, the service and this kind of attitude is unacceptable and disrespectful for both teachers and students who would like to enjoy some breakfast and make it to school on time. The food itself was ok. The burrito I got was a good size but flavorless. No idea where the chipotle chicken went as there was no trace of chipotle.

I ve lived next door to Saby for a few years now. Since I first sat down on their fruit-tree covered patio with my pops, I ve been a fan. The owner and staff are personable and always seem to have a smile on. But the clincher is the food. I am confident that anything you choose to order will be amazing. Everything is fresh. The meats are all cooked perfectly. The carnitas have that nice thin crunchy layer on one side. My dad used to take the salsas home to eat with his breakfast the next day. I haven t had the pleasure of trying the coffee but they offer a full menu of coffee drinks and fresh squeezed orange juice. Oh and they make the blue corn tortillas in house! Great place, HIGHLY recommend. Enjoy! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of delicious options with optional meat. They also offer soyRizo with their burritos

We ordered two California burritos one with asada and one with chorizo both were pretty bland in flavor and the chorizo was a very deep red color and didn t taste super fresh, nor was it hot. California burritos are supposed to have French fries neither of our burritos has fries so that was disappointing. We were just kind of left with these lack-luster burritos. The next day, to say there were stomach issues is an understatement. We will not be ordering from here again.

Honestly, Ive only had fries, champurrado, and unos panes. They were all great, the only downside is the wait. I waited about 20mins for champurrado and 15mins for a bag of fries. The champurrado isnt champurrado de leche (it has little bits in it, but youd expect that from champurrado oaxaqueño) I still think its yummy, but just a heads up. The fries are sooo well seasoned. 10 10 10 10! This family owned place is AMAZING! Its co-owned by mother (Grisela) and son (Javier). My husband and I have been coming here every Saturday morning for the last 4 months. Its become our go to brunch spot. We cannot get enough of their chilaquiles verdes. (BEST ChILAQUILES IVE EVER HAD IN LOS ANGELS). Their food is always fresh and delicious. Their pan dulce is also amazing. Theyve really developed the delicate flavors. Not every bakery puts as much effort anymore. Javier is doing an amazing job at developing and remodeling the place. Its really upsetting to see reviews speaking negatively about the building itself. This is a humble corner cafe for those looking for delicious authentic Mexican food and not the bells and whistles of an overpriced mediocre Mexican restaurant. Give this place a shot! Youll fall in LOVE with it! Also a great opportunity to support a young entrepreneur (Javier).

Food was delicious and the host was extremely kind. It is small but for a quick Date it was comfy. I had the huevos Ranchero wife had chillequiles and the first thing that caught my eye was the food presentation. It looked phenomenal and the smell had us drooling. Huevos Ranchero definitely was the best Ive had away from home. Will be our go to spot next time we are in the area

Tinga is excellent. Handmade tortillas with the perfect thickness. Home kitchen, like my Grandma Güera in Mexico. Normal fair prices, nothing pretentious as other Oaxaca/Mexican restaurants. Simple and delicious. And, they have Huitlacoche - done the right way; always a good sign that the kitchen knows the tradition very well.

Fantastic! One of the best breakfast burritos in Los Angeles. Always quick and super friendly when I come in slow and hungover. Big ups to Sabys.

Solid corner cafe w all day breakfast + full day menu, and delicious baked good. I had the breakfast burrito w added peppers. It came w eggs, bacon, cheese, potatoes and salsa. Burrito was delicious, right sized and right priced. Was around $8. I also had an apple fritter, cookie and pound cake w icing and sprinkles. All of those baked good were super tasty. I will for sure be back.

A friend had told me about Sabys Cafe several months ago, but unfortunately it took us this long to find this hidden treasure! This local run business is AMAZING! Everyone who works here is so super friendly and helpful, and to top it off the food is delicious! We have been hooked on the breakfast burritos and have been eating here weekly since we have found this great spot. Highly recommend you getting hooked as well. You wont be disappointed!
