Indie outfit serving worldly coffees in a modern setting with an espresso bar & an on-site roaster.
Tried this coffee shop for the first time. Love how spacious it is and that they have plenty of clean bathrooms.
Ordered the egg salad sandwich and a chai latte. Both delicious although the sandwich needed both salt and pepper (which wasn't available).
The chai latte was on the spendy side for its small size.

every single person working here has love and light in their souls.
I’ve been coming here for a year, almost every morning, and not only their coffee is great and they are extremely knowledgeable about how to make it and the importance of the freshness of it, but they also make my days by making me smile with the most awesome conversations.
The food is delicious too!
I highly recommend.
Also, get a random wine and try it out, their wine selection is PREMIUM (and this is coming from an Argentinian who loves wine more than her own life)

I discovered this cafe through a blog about exploring Hollywood, and it's quite a spacious place with plenty of people busy on their laptops. Just a heads up, make sure your devices are charged before you arrive because outlets are limited.
I tried their matcha latte, which was decent but not great, will order a pastry next time. It's a great spot if you need space to work or relax. There’s nice outdoor seating as well.

Really cool coffee shop and open a bit later than most places. Lots of seating, very large interior space. Seems like a lot of young professionals go there to work. Great food options and they have fridges where you can buy ready made meals and other beverages. Attentive staff that are able to turnover tables quickly when guests leave. Difficult to find street parking as there are many stores and restaurants nearby and street parking is only for an hour.

Location was easy to find and they validate parking at a deck nearby. Very spacious inside which was great for my work meeting. My vanilla paste latte was good, not great. Food options looked good but I didn’t try any.

Sightglass Coffee in West Hollywood is my go-to spot for a solid cup of coffee. It s one of those places where the cool kids hang out, and the vibe is just right for both working and people-watching. The moment you walk in, you re hit with that familiar coffee aroma that makes you feel at home. The space itself is spacious and stylish, with a mix of communal tables and cozy corners. I appreciate that it s never too loud, making it easy to focus or catch up with friends. I usually grab an espresso or a pour-over, and they never disappoint. The coffee is well-crafted, with a nice balance of flavor that keeps me coming back. I also like to pair my drink with one of their pastries usually a chocolate croissant. It s flaky and hits the spot without being overly sweet. Perfect for a quick snack while I m working or just hanging out. The staff here are chill and know their stuff. They re always friendly without being overly chatty, which I appreciate. It s the kind of place where you can just enjoy your coffee and soak in the atmosphere without feeling rushed. One thing to keep in mind is that parking can be a bit of a hassle, especially during peak hours. If you re driving, plan to circle the block a few times or find street parking. Overall, Sightglass Coffee is a solid neighborhood spot that delivers on quality coffee and a great atmosphere. If you re in West Hollywood and looking for a place to kick back or get some work done, this is definitely worth checking out. Rating: (4/5)

If you want to spend 15 bucks on a lukewarm latte and an underbaked muffin, come here. At least it s pretty inside, but you ll never find an open table. Tartine next door is light years better and you won t get a cocky cashier with a sour mood.

Why would you get rid of of the best breakfast sandwich in Los Angeles?
Published at 2 months ago
Save your money and (especially) your time and go elsewhere for a coffee shop hang. I can only speak for the baristas and not the kitchen. I ve only been a few times but each time has been mind-bogglingly slow and inconsistent. The baristas seem to have no efficiency or urgency when it comes to getting orders out. Instead, they re more interested in talking with each other and disregarding the customers. The coffee is also inconsistent. It tastes like the espresso is not dialed in and like the beans they re using are stale. Maybe it s just a sightglass issue? Either way, save your time, miss this place.

Nice spacious seating area, indoor and outdoor. Some wall/floor plugs to charge devices, free wifi. Usually quite full so make sure to get there before noon. Also most if not all pastries are sold out by noon or earlier and theres no restock for the rest of the day. After you order you can grab a seat and the staff brings your order to you

Don t expect to actually concentrate if you come here to get work done, it s brightly lit and there s a lot of commotion etc. the coffee s alright and it s kind of nice interior design wise. The little selection of goods such as pastas and olive oils used to be much nicer. Also: the WiFi is extremely temperamental and unreliable.

I come here quite a bit. But lately I have been feeling negative energy coming from the people behind the counters. There very chatty to each other. I ordered a Green tea drink and said I wanted to be sweetened. They never put any sweetener so when I said something about it the guy slams down the sweetener bottle and walks off. I refuse to go back for awhile. Hopefully things get better. But over all the order takers were really nice and patient with me.

Kid-friendliness: Kids can have fun here if they behave Wheelchair accessibility: This facility is wheelchair friendly

As a regular for the past few years, I ve always enjoyed Sightglass. Unfortunately, my recent experiences (especially this morning) have been a major letdown. The service has noticeably declined, and it feels like the staff are more interested in chatting among themselves than helping customers. Its a shame because I really liked this place. But with such poor service and a growing indifference to customer satisfaction, I ll likely be finding a new coffee shop.
Published at 4 months ago
I m really disappointed in Sightglass lately as a loyal customer of 4 years. I m a local customer who visits weekly and the staff have become complacent in their service and the quality has gone down. Situation: I was not told of extra charges to my meal, and then was gaslit on why I should know. After I brought up the issue with multiple staff members they also advised that I had put my phone too close to the POS before I could review charges, and that they could do nothing with my order now. I m very confused by this because they can simply cancel the order and start over. I love participating in their rewards service, and have been coming to this location for 4 years. The cashier did not attempt to help in adding in my rewards and told me I should ve been more upfront with my request. Poor service, poor food and poor experience. I would rather walk 2 m over to Tartine where your greeted with a warm welcome demeanour.

I have been to SightGlass 8 to 10 times for lunch. The food is exceptional. The Nicoise salad in particular is brilliant. The pastry and coffee are great. But its the space I want to talk about. This is the kind of space that every neighborhood in LA is desperate for. You can work, socialize, read, or just scroll. A 3rd place. The food isnt cheap but thats a small price to pay for this exceptional space and wonderful people that work here. The one (small) issue is the beverage choice (outside of coffee) is narrow. Mostly canned fizzy drinks. But its a small price to pay for Nirvana.

Tried Sightglass out today as we hadn t been back since it first opened, arrived a little more then an hour before closing, ordered some food and a coffee. After sitting at my table for almost 10 mins waiting for both items the person who took my order comes over and tells me they have to refund my food order because that part of the kitchen is closed. I d understand if it was 20-30 minutes before closing but to stop serving hot food an hour before is ridiculous and clearly the kitchen staff just trying to rush people out and close the kitchen early. At least tell your front of house staff you re closing it down so I wouldn t have wasted my time and the cashier could have told me they stoped serving before I paid. If you are open till 7pm, be open till 7pm. We took our coffee to go instead of staying in and it was incredibly watered down, burnt and the to-go cup leaked terribly from the rim cause the lids don t properly fit. Overall disappointing and wouldn t waste the time to go again.

Douglas saw me from a mile away and came explained to me the notes in their coffee beans, without me asking him to do it, came and showed someone who is obsessed with coffee why I made the right choice experience. Happy to be a customer here and I highly highly recommend this place if you love drip coffee, honestly they are the best in California.

The audacity! I cannot believe the experience I just had at this place. I used to love this place, but today I cannot believe the treatment we received. My friend and I ordered lattes for here in ceramic mugs and after an hour we were told to leave because people who had ordered food didnt have anywhere to sit. Um someone elses timing or lack of planning is not my emergency. But apparently purchasing *just a coffee* FROM A COFFEE SHOP is not enough to use their facilities. This is why third places are disappearing. Needless to say we wont be back. We actually traveled from different neighborhoods to patronize this establishment but you can literally walk 5 steps to tartine instead to get coffee and sit. Just WOW.

Sightglass Coffee is a nice coffee shop on the same newly developed patch of Hollywood as Tartine and Mizlala. Im not really a coffee drinker, but sometimes you have to meet someone at 10 in the morning, and youre a weirdo if you suggest beer or Jamba Juice. I came here to meet a new colleague, and it was a great place, spacious and attractive with a pleasant, laid-back ambiance. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered our coffee and took it to the back patio, which was empty except for one guy on the phone who was probably annoyed that he could no longer use the whole thing as his personal office. I got a latte and it was tasty, but honestly, Im no expert. I liked the patio, though, and would be happy to go back. The food looked good, and I guess its always useful to know a place to grab some coffee. Ill keep Sightglass in mind next time I need an easy spot to hang out in Hollywood.

A very messy and unusual experience from eating a croissant from the greasy stand point. Pastry flakes type messy is of course a usual experience when eating a crunchy croissant. Service was average. Not sure whether this is the typical croissant served there, and not going to try it again. Maybe something else next time if that happens.

Atmosphere and staff were very nice, however it unfortunately doesn t make up for the coffee that tasted horrible. I paid almost $9(including tip +oat milk up-charge) for a vanilla paste latte that tasted nothing of vanilla & the coffee tasted sour like they over brewed the espresso. It came out very quickly, but I d rather wait longer for a quality coffee; especially given their limited menu/ prices. There was a gnat in my cup as well. Would have gone back but didn t notice until I got to work : ( overall good place to chill and do some work but you will be disappointed with the quality of the drinks.

Ok this place is almost everything you want it to be and I hope it gets there because there is so much good about this place but its falling just a little bit short. Lets break it down: SERVICE: Its providing the quality of a sit down restaurant but its really just a grab and go/grab and sit so there is no server (probably because hourly wage in LA is impossible to hit profit margins/ I know I lost a business after 10 years of being open and the top of our space) anything you need is on you to get except when dining in they will bring the food to you. Wait times on ordering can be a tad long for a grab and go but tolerable. Line to order is frustrating sometimes though especially if your buying something from the grocery side - really you need a self check out! Please add! FOOD: The food is honestly great! Better than 99% of grab and goes in the area and many full service restaurants as well. The ingredients are fresh and the prices reflect but I appreciate what youre doing here...most places in LA use cheap ingredients to maximize profit margins. Here youre getting quality but you are paying for it. It would be awesome though if you werent always running out of things...this is your downfall food wise right now. Increase supply there is obviously demand. ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere is solid. I appreciate the warehouse vibe. The table layout though needs work there is a lot of deadspace still here that can be utilized...how about adding more 1 & 2 person booths? A lot of people here to work or take a quick meeting that dont want to be on top of other people at the communal tables. COFFEE: I am not a coffee snob so most of what I have had here has been great but they do run out of a lot of stuff so again increase supply there is obviously demand. RECAP: The earlier you come the more likely to get the good stuff. Quality is great here but the prices reflect. Come prepared. Getting a clean table is a bit of a tetris match at peak hours. Service is mostly on you and prepare to wait a tolerable amount of time. I rate this a 4.4...excited to see this place evolve and I hope for the best! Good luck and see ya soon :)

Probably the worst burrito I ve ever had. Why is it literally all egg? $30 for breakfast? Girl what..

Came here for the first time and ordered a breakfast burrito, bagel and a latte. Costed about $36 just for those three things. Found an open table but the previous people who sat there didn t clean/bus their own table so we had asked someone who worked there if they could clear it but she seemed confused and cleared it off but left the big pile of water that was left there on the table originally. Not only that but I waited for 20-25 minutes before I had to go up and ask about my order and someone said they would check on it but they never got back to me. My husbands latte and bagel was delivered to our table but my breakfast burrito wasn t. So by the 40 min mark, I decided it was not worth waiting any longer. Asked for a refund and the cashier was kind enough to refund us our whole order back and offered us cookies for their mistake. He mentioned their system was down but didn t make sense that it would affect our order because my husband still got his order - so yes very confusing. Easy to say I probably won t return for a long while.

You can complain about the prices because LA inflation is what it is. But the casher who stared you down to tap that 20% tip button before you know you have to bring your own food to your table, pour yourself a glass of water, put the dishes away, is the reality you dont dare to complaint. Other than that, coffee was serious. The food was tasty. The bathroom was clean. The seats were comfortable. Shop was spacious.

This place was an unfortunate joke. As I approach the busy counter on a Saturday morning, I was hopeful that the coffee was half decent and worth the wait. Unfortunately, it was lackluster to say the least tasted like it was Burnt beans and very old filtered drip. The rudeness I was given from the workers are also an added negative. The manic woman who s making the espresso on the other end, is so rude, and wouldn t even look up when talking to me - very much making me feel subhuman, despite my kindness and simple question which unfortunate was too much of a bother for her, to even acknowledge my presence, and answer me with courtesy. In addition to giving me the wrong information, this place just doesn t run well when it s busiest Such an unfortunate experience that I hope not even my enemies get to go and experience what I encountered.

Pro: single origin beans are good, beautiful decor, nice market attached Cons: line is very slow, some employees have cold demeanor, service varies in quality, beans on brew not always great (e.g. winter solstice blend), expensive, parking is awful. Food : 3/5

They make great coffee and delicious pastry. Little bit annoyed that male and female toilet rooms are the same.

Totally an inviting warehouse space for a cosy experience but I totally get why there were negative reviews about the place. Coffee is good and the breakfast biscuit was fantastic with the buttery texture biscuits that holds the perfect folded egg. But paying 14bucks for just that is really steep. Service wise, we were taken a step back after we added the extra coffee given in a tiniest paper cup we asked from the counter staff to add in the diluted drip coffee with milk. He straight up request that we throw away in the bin behind us as soon as we place the paper cup down. Thoughts ?

Nothing special. Waited 15 min+ for a bland mocha. My warmed croissant is what gave it 2 stars.

Sightglass offers a quiet place for meetings over coffee, a get-to-know on a one to one conversation kinda place. Coffee is good and have plenty of quick bites. Their Salmon lux its good.

Really nice atmosphere but such a shame that the service is not good. I asked for extra avo on the side and they said its impossible. Also prices are quite high.

It s a nice space and super organized. I like the little market they have with beautiful international items. The terrace outside is great and inside is roomy. Service great and the menu has good stuff. I got the vanilla iced coffee but I was not impressed. The lattes people had around me were looking good. The bagel I got was on the super dried side, probably not as fresh O surprising cute spot behind all the scary La Brea homelessness situation. Actually back there are great restaurants and a nice trendy vibe.

I thought this restaurant would be great because it was so cute. Staff is cool. However I ordered a salad and was really looking forward to it. For the price point, you d think it would be life changing. Worse salad ever. Went back up to purchase a pastry because I refused to eat the salad. Pastry was disgusting. So I get wine & that too was bad. I would highly recommend going somewhere else!

Had a really lovely time sitting in the large airy complex, with an excellent oat cappuccino. Very friendly for dog owners. Looking forward to trying the food. Pricey.

I love this place and I come here often to work and have a cup of coffee. Today(Saturday) I had some work to do so I went in to get a table. It was pretty busy so I waited and grabbed a coffee. I ended up staying for a few hours because I got caught up in work so I went back up to grab a bite to eat and the gentlemen (Daniel) at the register remembered my name and was so friendly. He was so kind and friendly to everyone he encountered. On my way out he said bye to me too like we were friends and I asked his name. It was really nice to see someone working and also being so friendly. Shout out to Daniel! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves!!

Mixed bag of nuts here. Price point range. A bagel and butter was the most responsible thing offered to add cream cheese was not ... and so on. Service ... was just okay. The person delivering my bagel walked past me and went around our 5 tables. Since I suspected it was mine I flaged her only to find out the cashier put the wrong number on my order. I had to flag the server back to take the table number tag with her. This is the way the staff seemed most of the time, just mindless. After 2 thirds of our party had left a male server approached myself and another female patron and actually asked us to separate the tables back. We were there for a meet up. I am disabled and saw this as completely inappropriate. The establishment itself was dog friendly open atmosphere and a great selection of seating inside and outside. But the staff ... totally missed the mark. Wheelchair accessibility: One floor pretty open.

Great coffee with roasting facilities and a large sitting area. Expect many people on laptops typing away. Also a great place to grab a bite and groceries. Parking can be a little challenging around this area but all and all a great spot to visit.

Our weekend go-to cafe, it reminds us of our days in SF. They make great coffee and delicious pastry. One thing I hope they change is please stop refilling Aesop hand soap bottle with cheap hand soap, it s really sad that they have been doing for months! I know Aesop hand soap is $40 a bottle, if you think it s out of the budget, don t use it then, just don t pretend it s Aesop hand soap, thank you.

17$ for a tiny biscuit sammy that crumbles everywhere and could not fill up a child.

Lattes were incredibly okay; espresso tasted burnt and vanilla flavor was lacking.

Sightglass is first class! Café / roaster / bakery / gourmet market / wine shop all in a cavernous space (think: hangar or sound stage) with warm woods, cool design and a variety of seating / dining areas plus a large back patio & a few sidewalk tables. Friendly staff, too. Its tucked away in a quiet neighborhood a couple of blocks removed from La Brea & Santa Monica Blvd. Theres no wifi... probably because so many have unlimited data plans. And its the sort of comfortably relaxed place that encourages conversation or contemplation. Thanks to EaterLA for the tip. Sightglass is the antidote for common coffee chains.

Not impressed. Ordered 2 cold brews which were a blend. Tasted like it was a day old coffee beans that they just flashed with ice and called it a cold brew. Personally wouldn t come for coffee. Ordered an everything bagel (toasted), came out burned but still somewhat good. The main reason I gave them even 2 stars is for the Cinnamon bun which was surprisingly good. Overall, I guess if you come here for anything but coffee it should satisfy your needs. Seems to be more of a market than a true coffee shop. Wouldn t come back. Tons of better coffee spots in LA.
