TPO Coffee
Time Place Occasion
Coffee, Drink, Tea, and Dessert where you can enjoy till 2AM (4AM on Thur-Sat).
Located in heart of Koreatown, Los Angeles

TPO Coffee is spacious inside. They have many many tables for doing work or studying in the back dining area, and there's free wifi. The front area has short tables and comfy chairs but they are low. It's pretty inside.
Parking is available in the lot, but they charge $3. We decided to just get lunch next door at Han Eum by Chef Kang to make the most of it. There's some free street parking spots around the area though.
Coffee was good. Their menu is hella extensive. They have teas and smoothies as well as lemonade and shaved snow. Surprisingly they did not have espresso tonic on the menu. I got the strawberry injeolmi croffle, and it was sooo good. Yes, it was sweet, but wow it was amazing. (It also cost more than my coffee, jeez.) The cakes and macarons in the bakery case looked so good, but they were pricey imo. The yogurt parfait was $15.
There is a bathroom in the back, but you need to ask them for the code.

One of my absolute favorite places since moving to LA. Open really late too… like 4am. To know I can get delicious Croffles, lattes, “Fatcaroons”, shaved ice, and other indulgent deserts like chocolate cake, tiramisu, and cheesecake. The lattes and affogato are always on point. Service is great, everyone is always so friendly and helpful - the atmosphere is GREAT - it’s bright and has space to work if you need to. They play good music as well. LOVE this place. The parking is usually packed because it shares a lot with other businesses. Thanks for creating an awesome spot - I love to take friends to when they visit LA.

Pictured: iced mocha, sea salt caramel cold brew, & a strawberry croffle (:
The iced mocha tasted like chocolate milk, so if you don’t like your drink too sweet, maybe ask for less syrup or an add shot! The cold brew was amazing. The croffle was also super yummy. Prices are kinda high, but if you order the right thing then it’s kinda worth the price.

I stopped by here for a late night coffee. It's located in a shopping center with a small parking lot but requires payment. Thankfully, the attendant was nice enough to allow me to park for a few minutes to grab something. The place has decent amount of seating but was quite packed. Unlike many other coffee shops, you have to wait to be seated. They have an extensive menu with lots of desert and drink options. I ended up just getting a TKO coffee to go. Service was prompt and courteous. It was pretty pricy for an average size cup of coffee but tasted pretty good. It was sweet and creamy so definitely enjoyable if you like drinks on the sweeter side but didn't seem to have much caffeine. I think it's a great spot to hang out late night or grab late night desert.

Even if my schedule was so busy that I couldn't come to this shop, I'd get PTO, just so I could come to TPO!
Haha, all dad jokes aside, the attention was top-notch and the tea that I ordered got served in the fanciest cup and teapot set I've ever seen! (Please see attached pics).
My friends and I never felt rushed and we spent quite a bit of time talking even after paying for and finishing our drinks.

A cute cafe with crazy hours (they open til SUPER late). Kind staff and good service.
Two seating areas where one is with soft chairs and another more of a working/dining area.
My strawberry tea was over brewed so it was bitter and a little over priced. My friend had a coffee drink and a croffle which she liked.
There were decent amount of people on a Sunday afternoon. Family, students, couples and friends.
What’s great is there is free parking in the plaza, it can be limited depending on the time you come. I’d recommend this place!

Very cute. Great vibe. Food/drinks are ok but pricy and small. However, experience is ruined by staff that will interrupt meetings to move you, even if you ve bought things. The valet will charge you even if the parking lot is empty and you parked yourself. It used to not be like this couple years back but now its just about packing in as many people as possible inside and opportunistic valet outside. I ve given it multiple chances because I used to have a great experience there but its been like this every time for the past year

I like the coffees in the place, the ambiance is also nicce but the music is wayyy too loud, if they can lower it a bit would be nice. People go to coffee shops to study and work - not to be distracted by the loud music or perhaps change the music to something calmer.

Would recommend other Ktown cafés. TPO is a miss/miss. Outrageous prices ($13 for a slice of chocolate cake ! $15-$20+ avg for their menu dishes). No variety when it comes to deserts, only one-bite pastries (expensive as well). Attitude of staff is neutral (understandable because theyre always busy). Not nearly enough charging outlets so you have to get lucky with a good seat (big miss). Atmosphere is REALLY loud because its always busy and its difficult getting ones self comfortable to work. Really the only good things about TPO is that they close really late, the internet is fast, their pricey coffee drinks are delicious and the restroom is clean (and if youre lucky to get them, their furnished couch seats are really comfortable to sit in + and theyre right next to the chargers). I visited this café 3 times. I tried to adjust but I did not enjoy any of those experiences. Wont be coming back.

TLDR: OVERPRICED DRINKS WITHOUT COFFEE. BAD SERVICE. GO TO YEEMS, GO TO RNY , CAFE DE MAMA, ANY OTHER SHOP THAN THIS SAVE YOUR MONEY. When I pull up to a coffee shop and order an Einspanner Latte, I expect coffee to be in it. I ordered a Matcha Einspanner to go. Because correct me if im wrong......latte isnt a latte without and espresso shot. A DOLLAR AND FIFTY CENTS FOR OATMILK? I get we are in LA, but never ever have I been to a coffee shop that charges that much for a milk alternative. Might as well go to Erewhon if I want to get ripped off like that. Then your desserts, 26 dollars with tax, no tip. For a Strawberry cake that was disgusting. A cheesecake that tasted like the recipe was pulled off the betty crocker box. One bite in and I could not take another. Also you werent busy at 6 on Monday, the cleanliness behind the bar was bad. The atmosphere looks cool from the outside, but the weird rush to greet guests to do a bait and switch on ordering drinks in order to sit at a table is wild. 4 dollars for parking in that cramped parking lot too. Look if your rent is too high, move to a different location. Too much labor??? Maybe the owner could be more present to see that their business is failing. How you guys are in business with the last two months of 1 star reviews is crazy. I will not be going back, there are plenty of other well managed and fair priced Coffee Shops in LA and just in Korea Town in general.

I don t even know where to begin, but let s start with the coffee . I ordered a black sesame einspanner latte which is a staple coffee choice for me. I ordered this drink assuming there would be espresso in it. To my disbelief, there was none. Worst drink I ve ever had. And to add oat milk to this drink, costed me an extra 1.50. I paid almost 30 dollars for two drinks that did not even have coffee in them. Why call it a latte if there is no coffee in it? Make that make sense. This is my first google review ever so that shows how upsetting this was. Behind the counter was cluttered and disorganized. The sensor on the door was beeping non stop. Use the money you make robbing people to fix your door!! Will not be back, let this review forewarn you, there are so many other coffee shops in ktown that are 100 times better.

Unfortunately, the service here ruined everything. We came here wanting to split a dessert after dinner, and apparently they have this policy that everyone at the table must order an item. I dont know of any other cafe with this policy, and whats far worse is that you only find out about it--because its not posted anywhere that I could see--after youre seated and ordering. In effect, theyre pulling a bait-and-switch. (So we ordered a tea because at that point we didnt feel like finding another spot.) The $16 croffle we ordered was fine (it took 25+ minutes to come out), but definitely not good enough to make me come back given their poorly thought out policy.

This coffee shop is antithetical to the concept of a coffee shop - the coffee is not very good and made me sick and the atmosphere feels more like a surveillance state than a third space for community / meetups. I was told upon taking a singular sip of my water bottle that the no outside food policy applies also to water bottles, which feels ludicrous considering that I genuinely had water in my bottle and did not want to waste water / time asking for a water bottle following that I took a long walk to get to the space. This place honestly feels like a scam. The library-like lighting and general loud chatter of the space, along with the notion that they can move you at any point (the hostess said that since we are a party of 2 she was planning on moving us at any point since only tables of 4 are available and offered no option of waiting). Also, for a place in Los Angeles, theres super little attention paid to non dairy vs dairy milk options. I genuinely had the worst dairy attack of my life following going here. I normally try not to be so uptight about allergies, especially in more suburban areas Ive lived in but it feels like a pretty standard thing to not mess up at a coffee shop in Los Angeles. Lastly, I saw the hostess pretty much ask only the Latinx and Black people to buy extra items if a member of their party had not arrived yet (per their one item per person policy), which feels weird and frankly, racist. I had already bought my items but I noticed this too late and did not want to walk out before my food and drinks came out.

overpriced items and makes it a policy for each person to get one item from the menu. that is something i have never seen from any cafe or dessert place. had to wait in line for nearly 30 minutes to get seated without knowing about the policy (there was no posting). will not ever come back again

The loose leaf tea that we ordered was pretty bad, it was watery and just felt like they didnt care to mind the melting of the ice when they added it to the tea. We also ordered a green plum tea, which was pretty good in contrary! However, we did get the latter hot so it might have been watery if it was iced as well. The service was standard and the atmosphere seemed pretty good for studying

Horrible experience. Would not recommend going here. First off, its extremely expensive. A coffee was well over $8. The cheapest pastry on the menu was an $8.50 croffle. My group of 5 wanted to share 2 pastries and a drink due to the exorbitant prices, but we were told that according to their policy, each person had to order at least one menu item. This is an understandable policy, but unfortunately, nowhere on the menu does it say that this is a rule. There was no sign saying so either. After waiting 45 minutes for a table, at this point, we just werent in the mood to spend nearly $50 as a group on some coffee and pastries. The manager was also unwilling to compromise on the policy, so we just left. Unreasonable, overpriced, and overhyped.

I wish I would say the same about this place. On Oct 12 at 7:40pm I walked into TPO; for homework studies. Right away as I walked in I was offered the smallest table there was in the place by a Woman who had broken English unable to communicate. Displeased with the 2x3 center table I asked for a bigger table. As I was clear that I needed the Space and time for my studies. Unfortunately this business pre judge me and followed up with. Well once it picks up we re gonna have to ask you to leave . Once I heard that comment I looked around people doing computer work, left and right. This made me feel mad and confused. Only to respond well in what time is that? In about 15 min I ve never felt so Humanly discriminated. Not only was I refused proper service but I was limited based on how I look?. Thanks any ways but I would never bring business here. Even as the owner saw all this taking place (and laughed). Very disappointed. Also thanks (yes stage) further up. For the hospitality on this circumstances. I would absolutely recommend this place instead with karaoke.

ZERO STAR ESTABLISHMENT *I would give ZERO STARS if I could* My partner and I came to get some work done. We wait about 5 minutes to get our order taken but before we can even order the waitress tells us: When we get busy, were going to ask you to move for bigger parties. THERE WAS ONE OTHER PERSON IN THE WHOLE CAFE! SUPER DEAD IN THE ESTABLISHMENT (maybe because of this). NO REASON TO MAKE (almost) PAYING CUSTOMERS FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE AND UNWELCOMING. Cant help but feel like if we were Korean that this would not have been said. We will definitely NOT BE COMING BACK again for overpriced drinks and an unwelcoming atmosphere. Please put this cafe in your Places TO AVOID in Koreatown Los Angeles I will be telling everyone I know about this place and my experience there. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! There are PLENTY OF OTHER COFFEE SHOPS/CAFES JUST AROUND THE CORNER to spend your hard earned money on that are VERY WELCOMING and a great place to work/study with GOOD DRINKS. Heres a small list ALL WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE FROM THIS POOR CAFE: 1. LOFT Cafe 2. RNY Coffee Studio 3. Cafe Terrasee 4. 6XS Coffee Advice to the business owners: FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE is a thing especially in cafes.

Super cute and aesthetic interior love this place!! Best bingsoo I ve ever had in my entire life. This place used to be called Mr Coffee and they also had the best bingsoo ever but it closed around 2021-2022 and I was super sad but noticed they reopened with a new name TPO. The desserts were phenomenal and really good? Definitely the best in ktown. It s a super quaint spot and has some outlets and great indoor seating to catch up with friends or to do work. There s only one bathroom though so sometimes there s a weight. We got the matcha bingsoo and the strawberry injeolmi croffle and they were both really fresh and so good. The bingsoo had ample toppings hidden underneath it so it was pleasantly surprising - banana and strawberries, mochis and the matcha ice cream was really really good. The sweetness level and the milky flavor of it were really satisfying and can be shared amongst 4 -5 people. The croffle was warm and sweet, great snack to have between 2-3 people. Love that they also open late till 2 am on the weekdays and 4 am on the weekend. Highly recommend coming here for dessert in ktown!!

This is Korean style cafe (means coffee and dessert are expensive) where most people go there to chat with friends or study by yourself for as long as you like. Taste of coffee is fine and desserts are fine. They have very nice bingsoo which are large bowls of shaved ice with sweet toppings and fruit slices or sherbet or ice cream.

Really wanted to try a croffle and tasted the strawberry cream one here. It was just okay for me because there was way too much cream for my taste. I m not sure if the croffle was supposed to be warm or not, but it was kind of at room temperature. I was torn between their matcha latte and the matcha affogato. I went with the latter because it sounded unique, but it could ve used more matcha flavor. The ice cream flavor overpowered the matcha. There s valet parking in the lot if you can t find street parking. Also, they charge 95 cents for milk alternatives, which stinks for those of us who can t have milk considering the drinks start at $7. The service here is great though. Very attentive.

Overall: 3.6/5 (delivery) TPO is way overpriced compared to other coffee shops. Was it worth it? Probably not. We ordered on Ubereats when they first open and it took 30-40 minutes for the drinks to deliver. Iced 20 Oz Injeolmi Latte ($8.25) + Oat Milk ($1.25) + Einspanner ($1.75) = Total ($11.25): No drink should cost that much. It had less than 20 Oz because they put the rice cake on top. This drink was good and less grainy than I was expecting. It was too sweet for me and I couldnt taste any espresso so I brewed some black coffee and poured it in. The Einspanner made the drink pretty creamy and probably explains the extra sweetness. Peach Mango Smoothie ($9.25) + Oat Milk ($1.25) = Total ($10.50): The smoothie wasnt that great. Jamba Juice is way better. TPO Coffee ($7.25) + Oat Milk ($1.25) = Total ($8.50): My friend said it tasted like an ice coffee.

Went at night to study but was so disappointed by all the useless regulations. Each person HAD to order something significant and the server was being passive aggressive because I ordered something relatively cheap (cuz I already ate). There were limited charging ports on one side of the wall and I wanted to change my seat but was forced back to my original assigned seat. WHO ASSIGNS SEATS IN A CAFE?! Very judgmental owner and bad experience.

Such a fun spot! Had a blast with the Injeolmi iced latte with boba. Wont lie, its on the pricier side especially for budget foodies, but worth every penny. I recommend coming here to simply treat yourself. Wide selection of tea, milk tea, loose leaf tea, lattes, and dessert options, each looks better than the last. Lemonade selection is great too but I preferred Injeolmi

Parking was valet. I would definitely recommend this place if youre looking to have a chill time.

Not worth the price. Injeolmi iced latte was half full of ice and the shaved ice was just not worth $20 something dollars.

I was here about 3 weeks ago for the first time looking for a place to grab a sack past midnight and man did their shaved ice hit the spot. I havent tried their other items yet other than coffe but Ive been back here 2 other times just for the red bean shaved ice. Such a nice ambiance with super friendly staff. Parking: Limited parking available in the shopping center.

The overall taste was good, but since it had just started, there were times when the order came out incorrectly.

Good place to work or study. They have Wifi for internet access, power outlets, working bathroom, and a good amount of seating.
