Great food, but the wait times are ridiculous compared to local spots. When you sit there you realize how inefficient the entire restaurant is. People are very busy looking busy - talking, joking, filling forms etc. It s a great spot but they are weighed down by inefficient operations

Was hoping to try breakfast here, but unfortunately I must have came at an extremely busy Sunday morning. Was able to get my coffee order but was never able to get my sandwich order. Waited over an hour. I was able to get it refunded with the staff. Im sure it was an honest mistake, but it kinda sucks to be forgotten.

This place has great coffee and good food, but I m very disappointed with the disorganized service. I ordered pick up for 2 drinks and ended up waiting over an hour. I asked on the status of my order multiple times and they said it is not ready. Eventually DoorDash marked the order as complete, so we asked a 4th time and they found our drinks in the fridge.. they said they ve been ready for a while, we waited for nothing.

I ve been off work for a year taking care of my Aunt, who had a Stroke and now severe Dementia. It s been a tough road for me and now she s declining rapidly. Though I was at Undergrind Coffee picking up a delivery order, they both showered me with compliments that brighten my day! I am much appreciative of those beautiful ladies! I wish you both and the team Amazing success in our community! Sweet Blessings

Unfortunately we were treated very poorly here today. Our drinks took 10 min which is acceptable but our food took over 30 min which is not acceptable. We watched tons of people coming and going picking up or ordering to go which is unfair for people sitting and waiting in the restaurant. When my 70 year old mother went to ask why the wait was so long she was ABUSED by the 2 male workers. The things I heard them say were beyond rude and were downright abusive. I almost got up to record it so I could post on social media for others to see. They told my mom she could not wait at the counter for her food when there were no empty seats to wait at, that she had no idea how a restaurant works (she owned a restaurant herself for 20+ years). So heaven forbid you wait for your food at the counter or ask them how much longer your food will be after waiting 30 min!! It will set off the Unstable and abusive staff

Amazing for breakfast or lunch, coffee is different from other things youve had before. The non coffee drinks are very floral and perfumed, however a lot of them have the same taste and you cant really tell the difference. Ideally ask for light ice or youll get not a lot of drink and a lot of ice :/.

Id give a higher star marking, but due to repeated poor service/treatment we are disappointed. The food is great. The coffee beans they use I am not a fan of, though my wife loves her drinks. We have been here many times. Unfortunately, there are a couple staff members that are repeatedly not very nice / tend to be rude and everything you ask is met with not the best of response. We stopped going for a year or so due to these experiences. So, we decided to go back and received the same experience on both occasions. So here is where we stand. Likely to not return.

We are local musicians & love this place for the food & the atmosphere both of which are beyond compare. Weve taken our instruments & played out front on a sunny afternoon & had a lot of fun drinking special-made beverages and playing music everybody loved. Where else in this Entertainment Capital of The World can you find this vibe? NYC, NOrleans, ChiTown, all have it but Undergrind brings this little bit of Heaven to our community. Visit them and we guarantee that, like us, youll be going back frequently.

The specialty and atmosphere is to die for. The service is excellent, they smile and take care of everyone and like everyone. The food is a bunch of mushy burritos and very bland. Ideally they would roast their burrito skins and avoid jamming so much iceberg lettice in their wraps. I would suggest to add more spices. The donuts are consistent. The quality of the coffee is still significantly great. Unfortunately the food is still soso after 2 years. Kid-friendliness: Welcome dogs and human pets (children).

I found this place on a whim because I searched black-owned bakery in the yelp search. It happened to be 3 minutes from where I was in traffic. I drive by here when taking my daughter to school and never noticed it. Excellent customer service. It was my first time there and the young lady didnt shy away from giving recommendations. I ended up going with the Bayou Burrito, which is made is shrimp, bell peppers and onions, along with the standard egg and potatoes. I was in a greedy mood so I had turkey bacon added to mine. It was amazing. While waiting, I noticed they had a matcha drink called Green Dragon. It was similar to the green tea frap I get from Starbucks.

I detest when the meat is dang near non-existent but yet filled to the brim with potato. Probably had about 3 - 4 small pieces of shrimp all the way at the bottom of the burrito. The spicy creole beef sausage was literally tiny specks throughout the burrito. It was practically almost meatless. If it wasnt for the seasoning that burrito wouldve been trash. May go again but if they make all their burritos like theyre broke, then I definitely wont be back a third time.

Coffee is amazing but they have some issues. Been walking here a few times a month for the last two years and the food is usually good but the last 8 times we ve been here, something has gone wrong with the order. Either the food was wrong, or usually they lose the ticket and you have to go ask about the order after waiting for 30 minutes. Twice we had to remind them about the order and they lost it AGAIN. Have stopped going as often because I m not trying to wait 40 minutes for a coffee or tea and longer for food. And the food orders have been missing ingredients lately which is just frustrating when the place could be so great.

This place is pretty fantastic. Ive eaten here about two dozen times. Their food is a great value but also very tasty. Their all American burrito is nearly perfect with an over easy egg and runny yolk, maybe the hashbrowns could be a bit crisper, but still one of my favorites. Overall the only reason Id give them less than 5 stars is because I dont want them getting too popular/busy and or needing to raise prices. My compliments to the chef and owner. Undergrind Café has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast places.

So the coffee cold brew is very good no I got my drink very fast which is good but we do order food does take Quite a while if they are busy. But That does make sense. Overall love the ambience the workers are very polite full of energy they almost take espresso shots very friendly now the breakfast burrito very big I got the all American I would give it 7.5 out of 10 but overall experience four out of five if I can give it a 4.5 I would probably do that

I saw the reviews on Google and figured we I would take my boyfriend here for day date then somewhere else after , he loved it and so did I ! I am glad we came we both shared the lobster sandwich and some breakfast sandwich and two lattes so delicious! I highly recommend coming here I thought that there would be a long line but there wasn t and we got our food in a timely manner and ate outside. Parking was easy to find and the service was good. I ll be back to try other things in the menu !

Store line was stretching down the block so I had to stop my car immediately and see what all of the fuss is about... I was very surprised to see a small and homey coffee shop filled with all kinds of goodies and treats, underground offers a wide variety of baked goods, breakfast and hot drinks I had the dirty chai (highly recommended) and blueberry muffin (enough said). The line flowed quickly and efficiently as is expected from a well known and professional establishment that expects the kind of crowds that underground Cafe handles on a daily basis. A good business is signified by employees who are happy and work efficiently like a Swiss clock, and this is a wonderful business.

Very slow service. Rude workers. They are disorganized and the wait times for online orders are unreasonable. Food is average and not worth the headache.

Great food but lady at customer service was very rude. She should learn to speak with customers in a polite way but not giving them orders and simply use word PLEASE. The worst customers service in a town.

Awesome place to get an iced coffee and meal. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch options as well as drinks. Their lemonade is actually really good. I usually go for the chai latte. They also have seasonal flavors, don t be scared to try everything on their menu. Great customer service and good quality food. Place is a little small and can get crowded easily, usually in the morning and around 3 in the afternoon.

My friends and I did a quick hike at Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook & then came over here for coffee and breakfast. We love this place! PARKING: Theres some parking on the main street, and more on the side streets. Quite easy to find parking. DRINKS: There are so many great options. My friends and I loved all the drinks that we got - [1] Tiger Island (chocolate, coconut, chai & espresso latte) with whole milk: delicious, not too sweet, you can really feel the espresso [2] Green Dragon (matcha, vanilla bean tea latte) with whole milk: clean flavor, can really taste the matcha [3] Emerald something (Green Dragon + pistachio) with whole milk: nice and light, not too sweet and gives off of a spring bounce vibe FOOD: We got the Break of Day Burrito (scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, fresh jalapenos, sharp cheddar, green onion served with a side of salsa). The burrito was very sharable and easy to cut. It tastes DELICIOUS with the salsa - would even suggest asking for more salsa. A hearty enough of a dish after a little bit of exercise.
