I mean, wow.

Some friends and I were looking for a little cafe to waste some time in and grab a bite to eat before our laser appointments up the street.

I was not at all expecting the amazing customer service and delicious, fresh food.

We were trying to order the breakfast special when the gentleman up front let us know that was only on weekdays (we were there on a Saturday) This threw a curve ball in our ordering, so we got:

Food: 4.75 out of 5

- Matcha Lattes

-I loved mine, I asked for it Xtra sweet and he made it lovely!
- One of my friends asked for it unsweetened and the other got theirs regular, both really enjoyed their drinks as well 5 stars

-Breakfast Burrito

-Freshly made, warm and delicious with eggs, chorizo, Breakfast potatoes and a smoky salsa that took the burrito to another level!! The salsa wasn't incredibly spicy, which we loved, but the flavor was a yummy punch in the mouth. 5 stars

- Chicken Ceasar Salad
-DELICIOUS! It is the same Ceasar salad you know and love, but we really enjoyed the fact that the salad was tossed with the chicken and croutons and not at all dry like it can be at other places. If you're in the mood for a little lettuce, get it! 5/5

- Beef Kebab Gyro
- This was the curveball we ordered since we couldn't try the weekday breakfast platter, and we were not disappointed. The Gyro was fresh and packed with delicious veggies, the only ding I will give it is that the meat was slightly overcooked, but honestly, we'd enjoyed everything we'd tried up until that point.

Sweets!
- Although we didn't get any because we were too full at that point, there were yummy breads and baked goods that I have to try next time like their Pumpkin bread, Banana Nut Bread, Coffee Cake, Croissants, and Quiche.

Atmosphere: 5 stars 🌟
- There are pillows and comfy booth seating all around and a little reading nook in the corner. They also have board games to borrow while hanging out. Soft lighting that makes everything feel warm and cozy. This is a book worm's oasis.

Parking: street parking only.

Overall: 10 out of 10 recommend 👌

If you are ever in the Eagle Rock area looking for breakfast, a quick bite, to satisfy a sweet tooth, or simply let a load off, I highly suggest you pay a visit to Zweet Cafe.

This is one of my favorite places to get breakfast in Eagle Rock. Their Spanish coffee is a must try. The place is very open, spacious and clean. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Their food taste fresh and there is a lot to choice from.

Not bad. Love the cozy interior. Ordered breakfast burrito with a black house coffee. My coworker orders the breakfast sandwich with black a house coffee. Both are very hearty meals. Delicious. Tasty. Fulfilling. Well made. Great colors. I was not expecting such a great meal. The cross isn’t is soft and flaky. The bacon is no joke!!! The chorizo made the breakfast burrito flavorful. Definitely a MUST TRY!!!

The employees are super nice and polite. They make you feel like home. There is a cold water jug for customers to freely drink with cups provided.

The wooden interior makes it really rustic. Like your in a cabin up in the hills. Really really comfy!! Need to step away from the world for bit, go by there. They also have patio seating to watch all the speeding cars go by. LOL

When I got here the place was kinda busy and was quoted 20-25 mins for the food/drinks. Ended up waiting 50 mins for the food & it wasn t that warm. Had to give a reminder about the drinks once an hour hit. Finally got the drinks & was asked if that was all of the drinks so they definitely lost our drink ticket at some point. I was given the wrong iced tea as well lol. I have no idea what happened here

Must try! Our breakfast was amazing! We had the breakfast croissant and scone with clotted cream and jam. Also Spanish coffee and cold brew. Dont leave without a bottle of their salsa. I think its the best coffee/ breakfast ever!

I have been sitting here for 45 minutes and have watched at least 5 to go orders that were placed after mine be finished and taken. We have finished all our drinks which also took a while to come out and there are still people in front of us waiting for food. Long story short, either order to-go or don t come.

I absolutely love the breakfast burritos with soyrizo here. It used to be my weekend ritual to eat and work here for a couple hours because the staff is so wonderfully kind and the atmosphere is cozy. Even though I moved farther away, I still sneak back here to treat myself and buy their hot sauce for gifts - seriously stellar hot sauce!!! I would also recommend their Iced Chagacino on warmer days and the hot Spanish Latte on cooler days. Vegetarian options: They have soyrizo substitute and plenty of veggie choices.

Cozy neighborhood cafe, staff is warm and comforting. Kitchen closes by 2:30pm most days. Sometimes theres more people online and the wifi crashes but its still a favorite place to work from. Big servings. Tip well!

I really love this local coffee shop, they have the best beef chorizo burritos in town. The burrito comes with a chipotle salsa and it s so delicious. I also love their Spanish Latte as well. You can get it hot or cold. I eats get iced. Next time I will try it hot. Must try if your in the north east part of LA.

My wife decided to stop by here for the 2nd time, Really friendly staff, we felt very comfortable, as if weve known each other for quite some time. I asked some questions about coffee and one lady with a smile answered them with detail,. We had a croissant and spinach quiche , very delicious, and while we were eating in the patio one young lady brought us a nice sample of green tea -mango smoothie that was beyond delicious , we definitely recommend this place and we cant wait to go back again,.

Extemely disappointed. The photos are misleading. All of the photos show meals on nice white plates. My omelette was served in a clear plastic to-go container with plastic utensils. There was not a single plate in sight in the whole place.The mocha was served in a paper cup. No nice white porcelain cup like the photos. Theyre charging sit down service prices with order at the counter service. The prices showing in the photos are four years old and the prices are significantly higher than whats shown in the photos. Also, the person that took my order overcharged me, then quickly crumpled up the receipt and threw it away without ever showing it to me or asking if I wanted it. I thought it was a little odd at the time to do that, but didnt think about it until later. On top of all that, the omelette was salty. The final insult was the lock on the bathroom door didnt lock properly and someone walked in on me. There are better options literally down the street. I will not be going back. In response to your response. I dont appreciate the accusatory response. Instead of maybe owning some of my concerns, you have decided to put all the blame back on me. First, its a little presumptuous to think that I posted my review out of embarrassment. I turned the locking mechanism and checked the door knob and it was locked. When the person opened the door, the handle was turned and had nothing to do with the door being latched. I camp outdoors, so I was more annoyed than embarrased and that incident really had no bearing on me posting a review. I eat out a lot and this is the first time I can remember that I wasnt offered a receipt. As to the age of the photos representing your establishment how about updating them more than every four years? I could go on, but I would have been more than willing to modify or delete my post with some sort of apology or an offer to try to dine there again. I havent posted anything in years, so maybe you woukd take that as a sign that my eperience was genunely not good. Lastly, I know how a door works. Thanks for accusing me of not knowing how a door works instead of addessing my concerns.

Is a joy to have this store in the neighborhood. Great coffee, great pastries, and sandwiches. Friendly staff. Also a good place to buy facemasks and other supplies. They have been very supportive of the neighborhood during these pandemic times.

Excellent service, prompt food preparation and delicious meal. I had the chicken pesto panini and an ice tea that was ready for pick up earlier than expected. This was a welcome surprise as my lunch time is only 30 minutes and I was able to cross the street, pick up food and finish my meal before my time was up for me to go back into work. I will definitely be ordering from this place again. Highly recommend. Great tasting food.

Amazing place, delicious food! With a chill vibe, relaxed environment, its a place where you can enjoy a meal or simply have a cup of coffee with a book. This is a family friendly place with a few kids toys and books for kids to enjoy. The owner shows how much he cares about his customers and made sure we had a great experience. The employees, equally caring human beings! Will definitely be returning.

Had family in town and we had brunch here. But...we did not check their hours so their kitchen was closed when we got their for brunch. But they were so nice and accommodating that they took our orders and the food was great. We were very appreciative too!!

If you are in the Eagle Rock area make sure you stop by Zweet Cafe. The coffee is excellent and they have a great selection to choose from. The sweet treats are amazing and fresh. Elizabeth waited on us and her customer service was fantastic!!! On my next visit to the LA area I will be sure to stop by for my morning coffee.

I love this cafe and the owner so much, however I m only giving it 3 stars because they produce so much waste. Even if you order to eat there they give you food packages in styrofoam and plastic. We mentioned this to them and they blamed Covid, but I don t understand why they just can t clean dishes? After our meal we couldn t believe how much plastic we produced. And there s nothing worst than styrofoam since it can t be recycled. The cafe needs to be more sustainable and consider their footprint along with other restaurants too.

Oh man, I am so so satisfied. Everything from the coffee, to the food, to the environment, is just so comfy and well executed. The omelette I had was very well portioned and delicious, and the waffles were also excellent. All of the employees here are really sweet too. Theres plenty of seating and everything was very clean. The coffee and coffee selection is excellent. Honest, I cant find a single thing to dislike about Zweet!

Was really looking forward to trying this restaurant for the first time. Have lived in the area for 33 years. The food lacked flavor, it was messy, expensive, and what s most sad is that the coffee was weak. The breakfast sandwich I ordered didn t come with any sides. I think they should change their policy about pancakes, and serve on weekends. Nice location, nice decor, and friendly service. *Update* After reading the owner s response I decided to change my rating to one star. To be clear, this review was not merely because you don t serve pancakes on the weekends, that was just on top of the bland sandwich we ate. $26 for two breakfast sandwiches is not the cheapest or best price in the area. And for the record we did try to get the waffles, but you ran out before noon, which I guess is a good problem to have All that aside, instead of taking criticism like an adult, you resorted to invalidating a genuine review of your food just because it is supposedly contrary to all the other glowing reviews you ve received. You should learn to instead be humble enough to accept that your food could always improve. Nice decor, but unfortunate that on top of bland food, you re also petty.

We love Zweet Cafe, its one of our favorite places in Eagle Rock. Not only is their food delicious and fresh, but the owners and staff are the kindest people youll ever meet. They recently catered an event for us (nurses lunch at an assisted living facility) and all the nurses raved about how great it was. They use the freshest ingredients and have new specials all the time. Grateful to have such a zweet little restaurant in our neighborhood!

I ate here for breakfast, I chose the French Toast, and my wife got the waffles. Really good and fluffy, comes with fresh fruit. The Spanish Latte taste great, really recommend it. Over all this is a really great place to eat.

11/10 service, 10/10 food, 10/10 prices, 10/10 atmosphere. Doesnt get any better than that! I came with 6 others and they were super accommodating with a large table space, very quickly. Also, the food was so amazing, and the staff were very kind and caring. Definitely recommend eating at Zweet Cafe. I had the chicken panini sandwich and the mango smoothie. I wish I lived closer so I could eat there more often.

Decent quality food, always overcooked, terrible hours and customer service. The service is so rude and disorganized! It seems clean inside, but the tables r nasty! I live down the street and wanted to love this place but its disappointing! The Asian lady was nice though. Hopefully youll meet her and none of the rest of them.

This little Gem of a café turns 5 today so the 5 Stars are a MUST, not only because the whole staff rules (K.C/ Elizabeth & Chef Nasser) but because the moment you walk in, to the moment you re digesting your food IT S a 5 Star experience!! I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Zweet on our interview date. Pinterest and coffee lovers have something to rejoice in the form of Zweet Cafe. A visually appealing blend of industrial and rustic elements are apparent from head to toe, with quirky touches from its giant coffee-themed chalkboard wall to colorful pillows and exterior paintings and topped off with a lovely aquarium being fun scene-stealers. It was clear by the amount of groups popping in and out of the shop that this was a neighborhood stop, and there is absolutely plenty of things to entice someone to want to see what the excitement is about. Apart from their impressive amount of indoor and outdoor space, they ve also got an impressive food and drink menu! A rotating food menu, so that means there is plenty of opportunity to get your fill of every recipe comprised of healthy, organic options and homemade ingredients, in which a majority can also be made as alternative gluten-free variation. Beverages include an array of organic loose-leaf teas, classic recipes, and a few hidden gems that ll pique your interest. I chose to get an iced version of Steph s Strawberry Mocha, which pretty much was a gloriously decadent liquid chocolate covered strawberry that I have zero shame in still having dreams about. Zweet has many amazing things that will without a doubt provide you with a positive experience. Don t miss out on visiting this lovely gem next time you r in Eagle Rock!

My favorite coffee shop in Eagle Rock! If you re looking for the perfect spot to relax, grab breakfast or lunch and just hang out this is the place to go! The manager and employees are wonderful and kind people. They bring you your food and are always attentive to your needs. They definitely are a big reason for me coming back each time to grab my smoothies and breakfast sandwiches. I love this place :)

I took my two kids on a Monday morning and we had a nice breakfast together. The only drawback I have to say is this place doesnt serve waffles on weekdays, only on weekends. We had to improvise so I ordered the pancakes, instead. All in all, we had a great time.

The food was really great! The owner was really kind and awesome! The cafe is really nicely decorated, the coffee and the food tastes really yummy, everything very fresh and good quality :) Check them out! Dont doubt! :D

Ive been here a handful of times and theres always a friendly staff. Everything Ive ordered is delicious. Although my favorite, which I love, is their French toast. Their breakfast burrito is also amazing, but you have to have it with their salsa. Its not a typical salsa and Im not sure whats in it but its yummy. The lady at the counter, Im guessing the owner, always has a smile, very welcoming.

Zweet is a great cafe! The management and baristas are very accommodating and they are open to having film shoots there. Definitely recommend.

Coffee was good, and build your own pita was good! The man who works there in the morning who remembers people is very friendly and kind, provided great service to everybody!

Crazy expensive hipstery place. Nothing wrong at all with the food or staff, but I think they were trying a bit too hard with the whole concept.

Really tasty coffee and breakfast burritos! Loved the service and the atmosphere and hope to make this place a regular Saturday morning spot. The Mexican Mocha with almond milk was delicious!

Zweet is sweet!! This is my morning stop recently. The coffee is great, and you can get it just about any way you can think of. The food is delicious and fresh, and the service is always warm and friendly. I cant think of anything negative about Zweet. I recommend a serious consideration. #gozweet

Very friendly baristas and service. They made me feel really welcome. My latte had a bit more foam than I prefer, but they made of for it by making it super cute!

On a recent visit to LA, it was our good fortune that Zweet happened to be the closest coffee shop for our morning routine. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, great cappuccinos and lattes - accommodating all the alternatives to dairy requested.

A cute, lovey cafe. I got the Spanish Latte (espresso and condensed milk) and loved it. The staff was prompt and friendly and the vibe is low key. A nice play to work.

By far the best breakfast place within a mile radius. Their coffee is solid, the hot chocolate delicious, and their breakfast burrito phenomenal. Everybody there is super lovely to boot!
