We visited last Saturday. After a 30-minute wait, we finally got a table, but it was right next to another one. While the staff was serving the table next to us, an employee named ToXXyom ChXX accidentally spilled soup near my legs, and it splashed onto my shoes and legs. I yelped in shock, but instead of apologizing, she slowly brought over some paper towels and ice, leaving me to deal with the mess while she wiped the floor. Even after that, she didn t say a word of apology. I was furious, and eventually, she muttered a sorry before walking away. I was upset by her attitude, so I went to the bathroom to wash my leg with cold water and clean the stains from my white sneakers. When I asked for the manager, a women named KaXXXX said she was in charge. She called someone else, and after a lengthy conversation in Chinese with an upper manager named LuXX, I asked to speak with her directly since I didn t understand what was being said. I m shocked that the staff didn t know how to handle such a dangerous situation. I almost got seriously injured. My white sneakers will need professional cleaning, and we ended up leaving without lunch, feeling frustrated and upset. I drove 30 minutes to get there, and my whole day was ruined by the employee s dismissive attitude. In the end, she even said, Did you think I would spill it? I didn t know. She just made excuses. Mistakes can happen, but it s how you handle them that matters.

We re huge fans of Boiling Point and always make a point to visit different locations whenever we re in the area. Most of the spots are a bit of a drive from where we live, but it s always worth it. This time, we stopped by the Monterey Park location since we were nearby. We had about a 30-minute wait and were seated at a table for two. Now, something that s always bothered me is how tight the two-person tables are probably only 1.5 feet apart. It was fine at first, but this time it caused a bit of a problem. A server was bringing a hot pot to the table next to us, and as she passed behind my wife, the woman at the next table stood up and accidentally knocked the server s hand, causing the hot soup to spill. Thankfully, it didn t land directly on us, but it still splashed on my wife s legs (she was wearing shorts) and her white sneakers, and some got on my shoes as well. I understand accidents happen, and we didn t expect a big deal to be made out of it. But here s where it gets frustrating the server just walked away like it wasn t a big deal. She went to get some napkins and a cup of ice, came back, and kind of just tossed them onto our table like Here, clean it up yourselves. She finally said sorry, but it was pretty half-hearted and delayed. We spoke to the manager, and they called someone higher up. My wife even spoke with them directly on the phone, but there was no real resolution. The server who spilled the soup even had the nerve to say, How was I supposed to know she was going to stand up? Do you think I spilled it on purpose? which honestly just made the situation worse. In the end, the manager and whoever was on the phone didn t really offer a solution, except to tell us to file a complaint with customer service. The only thing they eventually offered was to comp our meal if we stayed. For reference, we didn t end up eating anything and just left since communication was going nowhere and it didn t seem like they genuinely cared to apologize. Look, I m not upset about the accident itself mistakes happen. But the lack of genuine apology, the careless attitude, and the fact that they don t even say something like Hot food coming through, be careful when serving in such tight spaces really left a bad taste. I usually love this place, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt the need to write this review.

Claire made me wait for 20 minutes without informing me that the POS machine was broken. It wasnt until I walked over to ask what was going on that she told me the machine was down and that I would have to wait. She mentioned that if I didn t have cash, there was nothing she could do but wait. I asked if I could pay via Venmo or Zelle, but she refused. When I asked if she could find someone to fix the machine, she said it was too late 10 PM. 15 mins later, she finally decided to call her manager, but complained to her manager saying that the customer has nothing but credit card. Thank you, Claire, for taking out your frustration on your customers. I hope that in the future, you can learn to resolve issues.

When there s 4 ppl seats, the waiter put one person to sit at where can seat 4. And asked us to wait for 30 minutes. When I suggested if we could switch and get every one seated, and the waiter said oh don t worry, there s another table will be ready soon, they are already getting their checks. Then I was like oh ok sounds good. I asked if we can order now and get our food ready by the time the table gets ready, because last time we waited 30 minutes to get our food ready. The waiter said no you can t. Then manager engaged to the conversation, so I repeated. The waiter thought I don t understand Chinese Mandarin, he told his manager in Mandarin, they only 12 minutes tsk, they didn t wait that long. I told him I do understand Mandarin. The manager couldn t solve the problem. Told me if we order after we get seated, the food will be ready in 10 minutes. The table which the waiter said will leave soon stayed for another 30 minutes. We ordered the food after we seated. The food didn t come as promised in 10 minutes. The waiter got wrong order even we repeated our orders more than three times If you have enough patients then I guess you can continue come here If not, you ll be so pissed and ruined the whole day mood by this horrible services.

Food and atmosphere are great, no doubt. But service was terrible. I am not sure if its because thats how it is, or its because I am a solo customer and the waitresses are upset since I take the table for two people. Its my first time coming to eat in person so I dont know the menu can be scanned by QR code UNDER THE TABLE, but literally no one asked me if I needed the menu or if I needed to order. From the moment I sat down, I became invisible to them, as all waitresses walked past me without even caring I looked so confusing like Ok are you going to give me the menu to order or what?. When the food comes, they didnt give me chopsticks and water, and when I asked, it took them so long to get me one pair of chopsticks and water. They came to refill water for people sitting next to me (both sides) but they skipped me (and I was out of water). I am so sorry if I upset you guys since I am a solo traveler :) I had quite terrible experience. I did not even want to finish my dinner and just wanted to leave.

Here in this little restaurant the food is good, it has good flavor, hot and a good portion. Price in the portion range, the drinks are very expensive. Now on to the service: TERRIBLE. Waiting for more than an hour I felt discrimination since they called us and seated six people and a few more minutes for a family of four near the kitchen and at our table they left us sitting there for around 10 to 15 minutes as for the other They had already served him water and while they were asking us for the order from the other table they were already serving him the food, another is that we had to ask for bowls and they took them to the other tables of Asians with the food order, we asked for water water and they brought them water in their glasses already served and they brought us a little jug and the glasses and it wasnt even enough for us and we had to stretch out one hand and the other so that they would bring us another little jug of water, and their attitude was very rude, they have no sense of customer service.

There was no wait as I arrived before the dinner rush. But the service is lackluster, the staff doesn t really pay attention to the tables. They don t really come up to you until you call them over or if they re doing their routine soup refills or bringing your pot over. So I had to wave them over for anything I needed - more napkins, water, and even to order my food. I ve come to BP many times and have enjoyed the House Special, Beef, and Lamb hot pots but this time - I decided to try the Korean Bean Paste. It s not that great. The soup was lacking in flavor.

You were going too fast and I couldn t interject with my exclusions, usually the servers read me back my order and ask if there s anything else before sending it to the kitchen. Didn t get my side of rice my entire meal but after the scolding I got I didn t bother asking. The couple next to me also agreed that the server was maybe a little rude, Even after all this I still tipped because I know their job is hard and customers can be rude.

Food is good, went mid day for breakfast wait was an hour, at least they did it through cell so you can wait in your car. Once we got our food it was genuinely boiling hot I couldn t eat it in comfort. The stools are tiring no back support, free tea is nice but not enough to make up the 20$ a bowl. Service was meh, they never checked in on us didn t ask for another drink or refill so get ready to raise your hand to ask for service. By the end of it we had to ask for the check twice since the person we asked completely forgot it. Foods good just go when it s not busy and not budget friendly.

Although there are empty seats and tables set up, guests are still not asked to be seated. Had a candid conversation and asked the host and her explanation was that the kitchen cant handle this much..... Hm okay.... So I guess its better to have people standing and waiting starring at empty seats than letting people sit down.

I visited on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch, and the place was surprisingly empty. One highlight of going there during lunchtime is the complimentary green/ black tea they offer. Normally, I go for the beef pot, but this time I decided to switch things up and try the milk cream curry pot. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was, even though its appearance wasnt the most appealing. The sea salt cream in the broth really worked wonders. During lunch hours, there are complimentary beverage options to choose from (black tea or green tea), so I always make a point to come during that time! In the past, I would always order the House Special, but today I decided to try something different and ordered the Mild Beef. I would advise anyone who cant handle spice to not even attempt the mild level, as its actually quite spicy. The portion is generous, and in addition to the included white rice, there are also glass noodles in the hotpot, so the carb content is really high! Its very satisfying to eat and leaves you feeling quite full. There are free drinks to choose from during lunch (black tea or green tea), so I specially choose to eat during lunch every time! In the past, I always ordered the House Special, but today I wanted to try something different. I ordered the Mild Beef. I recommend that people who don t like spicy food don t even try the mild. It s really quite spicy. The portion is large. In addition to the white rice that comes with it, the hot pot also contains glass noodles, so the carbohydrate content is really high! It tastes super filling!

One of the safest options to eat at, but for some reason this location happened to have their ac on full blast at the coldest setting cuz it felt like walking into a cold storage room for poultry. What made the experience worse was we were seated right underneath one of the vents so our table and the surrounding tables were feeling very cold. I know because I overheard some of the customers around me express the same feeling with their friends. I had requested them to turn it down a few times but I think they just pretended to turn it down or just turn it down a little bit because the change felt unnoticeable as it was still blasting cold air throughout the night. When our food came out it got cold really quick so that made it difficult to enjoy our meal. I think the blast of cold air managed to even blow out the fire on my friend s dish too. Pretty disappointed with that night. The only upside were the waitress and waiters who were fairly responsive when we called for them and made sure to give us refills on water or napkins when we needed any

Since then we returned back, food is ok, not as tasty as before, but service from the waiter after food was served was horrible. We were finally able to get the waiter attention and asked for more broth he was going to give more soup but in a quick second, turned around and said he couldnt do that. We tried to ask another waiter more like a busboy he walked by rudely said hed be back, didnt return back within a sufficient time our soup was gone. Then when he did come back to the table, he rudely kept saying are you done with this...Didnt even ask what we needed or how can I help you. My friend was trying to speak to him asking for more soup. He was Very RUDE n just ignored her request. Bad customer service and we will never come back! Just f.y.i. we did finally get more soup by another waiter, possibly may have been night shift mgr not sure, but our food was cold cuz we had to have the hot pot turned off bc the food may have burned A suggestion to the owner or whom does the hiring; Fire your rude waiters who have no customer service etiquette or teach them Customer Service 101.

It was good but not the best flavor. Its fresh. I had a curry, but taste like watered down curry, soup curry. Never had that before, I guess each restaurant has their own style, and since it was my first time having this food, I guess it supposed to taste like that. Its not a place Im coming back to.

This is the third time I have overcharged the tip. Every time I went to eat at lunch, I gave 15%. The first time I deducted an extra 5 yuan, and the next two times I deducted an extra yuan. I really don t understand. I don t want to give a tip next time.

Good food, but the atmosphere/service is a bit lacking. I got the lamb pot, my gf got beef. Everything was nicely cooked and portion was worth the price. We were sat down at a small table inches away from another table, felt very cramped and In the way. Also had to literally wave napkins in the air like a flag just to get peoples attention for the check. It was a bit crowded so I understand maybe the staff were overly busy, but it certainly didnt feel welcoming. Id probably return due to the food, but not when it was so crowded that the servers ignore you.

This is such a great place for winter season feel good kind of meal. Every bowl hits the spot so there really is no wrong choice, just a matter of preference. Be sure to use the sauce to enhance the flavors of your meal. If and when your pot gets low in soup, just ask one of the servers to refill your pot for an added time extension. Any left can be put in a Togo container for midnight soup snacking. Totally recommend

Stable deliciousness! If you go during lunch, it might be normal to wait for about an hour. Last time, we lined up before the store opened so we got in right away, but this time we went a little after it opened at 12:00 and had to wait until around 1:00 p.m. Im satisfied because its delicious every time! What I ate Beef/mild extra intestin Always delicious. Even better when combined with the seasoning garlic paste/soy sauce! (It smells a bit like mold.) It lights the fire, so its always warm. You can choose between rice or noodles (rice is recommended!) You can choose between green tea and black tea. Slightly sweet. I was a little disappointed that for some reason the rice came first this time and was a little cold. I want to eat both warm! Price $15 (extra tip) About the store Anyway, this is a popular shop. It is better to go prepared to wait. You can also order ToGo only. There are two benches near the entrance. It looks like you can wait there. The air conditioner is very effective and its cold. Better go with long sleeves With sanitizer Street parking

The food is good, but the waiter is terrible. I went to eat with my friend on Tuesday. The place was obviously empty at that time, but the waiter insisted on letting me sit at a small square table. I asked twice and I wanted to change to a larger table. The clerk disagreed, so in the end I could only agree to sit at the small table because I really liked their food. But what made me unhappy was that there were only two customers who came after me, and at that time, I and my friend were the only ones sitting at the small square table. There is one table and the others are empty, but they are all big tables. This is the reason why I don t want to tip. You know, I will go to Boidian to eat whenever I go back to Mengcheng, and I usually tip 20%, because I am also in the service industry and I understand that I need to tip. However, this is not the reason for giving a negative review. It is because I looked at the bank information today and the waiter tipped me. The bank overcharged me. Although the amount of money I spent was not large, it made me particularly disgusted. I don t want to go to this store anymore. I hope that friends who go there in the future will read the signature card carefully and sign carefully.

The food here was so delicious. This was my first hot pot experience. I ordered the beef soup with rice and it was everything I expected. Full of flavor and tasty ingredients. Beef, onions, tofu, fish cakes, spices, garlic... I will be coming back to try other selections. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine.

Hot pot is always amazing at Boiling Point. I love the Beef soup the most, but they re all honestly pretty good. The sauces complement the hot pot well. Parking isn t the best, and wait times can get pretty long... especially because this is a smaller store. However, the food makes up for it in the end.

The takeaway curry pot and mutton pot cost 16 yuan, which is very different. I bought these two portions, which is equivalent to buying a bunch of Chinese cabbage for 32 yuan. The curry pot has no taste and is quite bad.
