Great customer service!
At the beginning we were so confused. It looked like a traditional restaurant and we waited to be seated. Table was ready but no one leaded us. Then we found out we should order first. Finally we requested to be seated and studied the menu.
After group discussion, ordered was placed. We were told the Tri Tip was a must try. The manager helped us to exchanged our order from chicken to tri tip.
Afterwards, we found an item that we didn't make. The manager was very nice to adjusted for us and told us to keep that item.
Somehow the adjustment on the receipt showed the tips was credited to my card as well.
Since they had great service, how can't we pay the tips🥰

Personally, I think this restaurant is very delicious. At a time when everything is going up, the fact that it can still maintain low prices makes me highly recommend it! The BBQ Tri Tip was tender and juicy, the pork ribs were unfortunately a bit dry, the Caesar salad and garlic breadsticks were generous and very tasty!

StonefireGrill now brought our two friends come a long with us to enjoy a meal at the Stonefire Grill this our friends first time. bite wow so much flavors in these vegetarian dish and chips and guacamole on top the salad. I really enjoy the salad my wife enjoy her BBQ tri tip sandwich very much including the potato salad that she like. Our friends enjoy their meal and they like the environment of restaurant the staff are friendly and kind.
We step in the look at display menu see what we like to order our friends went another cash register to order their food and we went to other one to order our food. My wife decided to get the BBQ Tri Tip sandwich with a side of potato salad then I order the Superfoodhis is the second time that we come to the S Fiesta bowl and a side of roasted vegetables.

Recently had my goddaughters bridal shower here. We reserved the patio. It was amazing. The staff was so helpful, friendly and very accommodating. It was a beautiful day and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be going back!

Good place to grab a bite. It's not the usual full service restaurant. You order, pick your seat, get your own drinks, plates, utensils, and napkins. We ordered a 4-serving family meal, which includes tri tip, garlic lemon chicken (half chicken), caesar salad, and bread sticks for about $50. We added two more pasta plates and two drinks. We could have skipped the two pasta orders since there was plenty of food from the family meal. The restaurant has plenty of seats inside and outside in the patio area. Staff was friendly and courteous.

This review is for the service I received from Jack H.

Our last visit to this location (which was months ago) didn't go too well. It took about 30 minutes for my wife's hamburger to arrive. My food arrived about 15 minutes into our wait which is about an average wait time. As usual, the server asked if there was anything we were missing & I explained my wife's burger. The server said they'd check on it & that's when the trouble began. We saw the server walk to the pickup station, grab a meal & walk it to another patron. Wanting to give the server the benefit of the doubt, we stayed patient. But after watching the server deliver more meals instead of touching base with us, we became annoyed. So we asked the next server to walk by who apologized & said they'd check on the burger. And to our frustration, this server did the same exact thing as the 1st server. We asked a 3rd only to have the same thing happen. 30 minutes after sitting, a simple hamburger arrived with a complimentary brownie for our wait. It made us contemplate on whether we should bother coming back. But we enjoy the food so we figured we would.

Fast forward to this past Saturday, September 28, 2024. My wife ordered a salad. Again, a very simple meal. And again my food arrived without my wife's. And again the server claimed they'd check on it only to grab a meal & deliver it to another patron. After 10 minutes with no idea what was going on with her meal, my wife was ready to demand a refund when Jack H walked by. I explained the situation to him, he apologized, said he'd look into it & he actually did. Not only did our original server deliver our meal a few minutes later, Jack H touched base with us to ensure we got it & we had everything we needed. We were offered a brownie for our inconvenience & explained to Jack H we'd already bought one. He offered us a second, we declined. Jack H asked to see our receipt & walked away. Upon his return he explained that he refunded us for the brownie & my wife's salad. We we not expecting that at all.

Jack H went above & beyond. Not only did he actually check on our order, he touched base with us. Too often have we've been left in the dark at this establishment when all it takes is a quick acknowledgment so that frustration doesn't kick in. That simple & quick gesture made our visit that much more comfortable. But to refund us a meal was more than what we could ask. It definitely gives us the confidence to continue visiting this location in the future. Jack H made an impression & hopefully can be an example on how to handle customer service issues. Thanks Jack.

Love me some Stonefire!! This one is rather noisy. Edited: So if your looking for a place to host a family event this is the spot. Huge covered patio section. Every time my girlfriend and I go here there is always a large gathering. Weve turned it into a game of guess the reason for the party.

Very good food with huge portions. Order a bit less than you think you can eat. Our meal for 4 turned into maybe 8-10 meals in total The tri tip and pizza were the favorites.

While I like their food, the take out service really needs improvement. I no longer even try car delivery because they dont respond.. And when you order online and they say itll take 45 minutes, so you show up 50 minutes later and they havent even started bagging your order, which then takes another 10 minutes, I am not impressed.

This review is for the service I received from Jack H. Our last visit to this location (which was months ago) didnt go too well. It took about 30 minutes for my wifes hamburger to arrive. Server Hayden and Manager Bobby were excellent in there consistent checking in with me and my party to make sure we were during our wait time and constantly apologized for having waited longer than initially anticipated. They both gave 100% maximum effort to accommodate my party. The service by Hayden, Bobby and the rest of the staff were impecable. Bringing out dishes with great timing. Service with a smile and attending to ALL of our needs. I felt like my party were the VIPs. Polite, kind, respectful, knowledgeable and had an answer for every concern we had. I recently ordered takeout from Stonefire Grill in Pasadena, CA. They were super busy and my order was made in correctly. I went back the next day and spoke to the manager. Not only did he refund my original meal but offered to have it remade for me at no cost. The managers name is Caesar. He treated me as a valued customer and as always the food was excellent. Caesars customer service and caring attitude went above and beyond what I expected!

This is the most unique restaurant I ve ever been to! You don t have to wait to be seated or wait to orderOR wait for waiter to finally notice you to give you a refill ! You start by ordering your food first then you sit wherever you want, food is delicious from pizza to lemon garlic roasted chicken! Ribs! They have the best Caesar salads,Plus I love that the food comes out super fast, and self serve on drinks they have a variety of them ! I enjoy the food from this restaurant. It is packed with flavor sometimes a little too oily but good. I dined in this time. Service was good. The food tasted better than take out. They ran out of parmesan cheese sadly all together. Take out for pick up is normally hectic and can be a long wait past the scheduled pick up time. We normally order family sized portions and have left overs. Edit: I dont have any problems health wise for the oily food, nor does one of my friends parents who do have health issues. The parmesan was the let down which is probably an ordering issue. The tri tip salad is always a go to must have that is perfectly balanced as always. The pizzas are cooked to perfection. I use a napkin to dab a little oil off but thats normal for pepperoni pizza anywhere. The order to pick up is a 50/50 for a hassle and long wait. My friend or I order pick up once or twice a month for years now. The food is worth the wait to he honest but dinner time can be horrible. Try to avoid meal time rush hour if you are in a rush or starving. Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats for the booths for kids

Stonefire Grill never disappoints. We had 2 different combination meals for our group. Everyone enjoyed the ribs,chicken,brisket,salad,beans and mashed potatoes. It was topped off by carrot cake for dessert. It was a great dining experience. Service was also very good. I highly recommend Stonefire Grill.

Actually devastated to rate this Stone fire like this. We love Stone fire and were so excited when we picked up our meal for 6 for take out. We normally order from one near old town Pasadena and the portions are MUCH more generous here! Placing a phone order was simple and easy and all the employees we interacted with were all very kind and personable. Unfortunately that is where my praises end though. I will mention that this location is SLAMMED with take out orders it seems. Thankfully we didnt have to wait too long, though I wish there had been more time and attention paid to our order instead of getting us out the door. We had someone go through our order with us upon handoff and despite SAYING all the items our order was supposed to contain once we got it to our destination we found out we were missing two items. On top of that, our garlic mashed potatoes (one of our favorite items) had the peel of some garlic in it as well as some bad bits of potatoes (like a rotten spot that should have been cut out). Before all these issues we thought we would go out of our way to come here again, now we will be hard pressed to return in all honesty. An unfortunately disappointing experience from this location.

May 2024 - Party of 11 on a Saturday around 530pm. TLDR, 5 stars for the food that was perfectly cooked and delicious. Minus 2 for the service. Fireplace fumes were not appealing to smell. Tritip sauce spilled all over the table, chair, and my clothes. Staff said oh sorry for the little drip. If I hadnt moved, it wouldve been much more drip on my belongings. For the price point, I expected a much better dining experience and Im pretty disappointed with the overall service and ambiance. Food/Pricing - Mega Meal - $180 The chicken was tender and skin had a yummy crunch. Ribs were fall off the bone. Tritip was medium rare and perfect. Mashed potatoes looked unassuming but had some great crispy parts and were yum. Also enjoyed the Caesar salad and bread sticks. Service/Ambiance - Seated outside next to the fireplace. Not ideal since you can smell the gas coming out of it but the alternative wouldve been to wait 45 minutes for an indoor table. It was very loud and echoed. Every time someone moved a metal chair it made a horrid screeching sound on the cement floor. The plate used for the meat looks like a flat tin pizza tray... Of course sauce would spill everywhere. Presentation didnt do the food justice. They bring you empty cups. Guests have to grab their own water, soda, plates, and utensils/ napkins. This wasnt explained to us so we were confused for a bit. Runners were very confused and came up to our table multiple times to ask if we ordered a cake, salad, or meat. It seemed really unorganized. Parking - Theres plenty of parking in the plaza!

1st time here and its somewhat unorthodox. You order like a fast food chain at the front reception area, seat yourself, grab your own drinks and have to get back in line to reorder anything in general. Food was ok, not the best. Food was warm not cold. I ordered for 3 and the portions were great but the personal Mac n cheese looks like it was made straight out of those grocery store boxes. Ironically the staff was overall the best part of the night, everyone was friendly and courtous and thats why I put 4 star.

I purchased some family packs for my wives bday on 2-26. The order was wrong. Tri tip was cooked well and it was tough. Ribs were tough and horrible. Chicken was juicy and pink lol. 2nd year in a row they ruined my to go dinner. Thank you guys

Odd midscale restaurant/food offerings but fast food meets, partially cafeteria self serve meets poor table service hybrid. You order your food, which isnt cheap but maybe for CA standards, then get your beverages and silverware and pick your seat. You have a pager at your table and wait for your food. Communication from the cashier to the server isnt great and no one came to the table until they tried to serve our adult beverages provided when we ordered again. After an extended period of time someone brings ONE plate to the table, explains about another miscommunication and our food will be out shortly. The burgers were burnt on the outside, beyond chargrilled. Inside they appeared the appropriate doneness. The Mac and cheese was nothing other than cheap macaroni noodles with melted cheese that tasted a bit gritty. Panera bread does a better job! No one checked back on us nor bussed the tables. The experience was less than expected for our first time. If I want sit down meals with a fast food style ordering process Ill go to Wendys next time. Being out of towners we probably wouldnt go back or recommend.

Update: Today was Super Bowl Sunday and the catering pick-up was amazing. Every employee was super helpful and their process was seamless and a great experience. The family and I are always treated to Stonefire by Grandma. It was my Birthday so we went last Thursday around 4:30pm. The all around smiles and attentiveness is always a welcome when dining out. I would say a party of 5 was close to $85. Side salads and endless drink bar is included in that price. The food quality is a very strong B+ and even sometimes an A-. Ask for extra bbq sauce. Parking is free Busy time hit when we were leaving around 5:30pm. Parking: It was a busy time of day for the catering department when I parked. It is usually a battle to park at this location, but I got lucky and pulled up to a spot as someone was driving away.

I asked for grilled salmon. The fish was over cooked to a level that i couldnt chew it. It also came in an oily gravy sauce that did not fit the fish and was uneatable

Had never been here before. Walked up the counter and the server who took my order had a little bit of an attitude but anyway, I ordered the tri tip and ribs with a garden salad and the chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were amazing. Hot and fresh. I like that they gave a sweet heat sauce and ranch. I d order them again. The tri tip was good. I m a ribeye girl so having sirloin was an experience for me but it was other wise tasty. The ribs could ve been better. They weren t falling off the bone so I didn t really care for them. Garden salad was great. Atmosphere was great too. I came right around opening so it was too many people there. I d go again but I will probably order something different.

I just had the pizza and salad it was good but nothing special. This place is not service oriented you order upfront at the register and they bring the food to you. Getting a server to stop at your table for any additional requests is like tackling a line backer. The atmosphere is average and they do have outdoor dining.

I had grilled chicken, tri-tip, and baby back ribs, and all three were brilliant. I would serve this to my closest friends at a wedding. I am amazed by the quality and flavor. It was delivered so I can t huge the atmosphere or service.

The service was top notch but the food was disappointing. The meats showed up cold, the ribs and mashed potatoes were very dry. The potatoes looked like they were made 5 hours ago and were served to me anyway. All in all, the macaroni and cheese showed up hot was pretty good.

The food is great. It takes a while, but its so worth the wait. The meats are cooked perfectly. The coleslaw is to die for. The pizza was nice with some good flavor and topping combinations . The downside to this awesome place is that there is poor cellular reception. Then the place asks you to use your phone to access the menu. I dont understand why there is no wifi. There is network i pops up but its locked.

Average food and atmosphere. I waited 2 extra hours for picking up the pre-ordered takeout that was supposed to get ready by 11:30AM. I doubled checked with the waiter if everything is here when they bring out the food, and soon I found out they missed almost half of my order when I got home so I had to go back again. The rest of the food wasn t even ready at my second arrival.

Food was wonderfully delicious. But our dessert was stolen from our to go bag while we were in the restroom. Our server did replace it with no problem. Wheelchair accessibility: The walk way from parking to restaurant door is about 6 yards long and is steep up hill. The booth tables are too low for the wheelchair arm rest to go under.

They do have a good number of salad choices. Unfortunately I picked one that came with a dressing that was too spicy. The manager was nice enough to give us a different dressing. There were not too many people for 11:30 Lunch on Monday. You helped yourself with to-go boxes. I eat at Stonefire Grill maybe once or twice a year only. You should come and try it to find out for yourself.

My mother and sisters came in for dinner for a birthday celebration our first time and the servers and the rest of the staff were phenomenal. They went above and beyond with exceptional customer services. The servers and manger on duty Elizabeth deserve 10 stars!!! The food was absolutely delicious!! We will be coming back for sure!

I didnt know this was in the area because of how hidden it is. I have a mixed rating based on 3 categories, First, the food is always delicious. Second, the service was ok, the person bussing the tables was miserable and not pleasant- but then again who is when they have to clean up after someone else - we noticed people trying to get his attention because the tables were not wiped down correctly so thats the reason for the less than 5 stars, on the contrary, the people who came by multiple times to check on us did a great job. Last, the atmosphere- there were several flies inside the restaurant, makes it feel unsanitary.

Dont go here often but enjoyed again. The Ceasar Salad is really good, just cut back slightly on the amount if dressing. Tri tip was meh, I think I should have had it cooked well done. All in all GREAT service, Hayden went above and beyond to give us a great experience.
