What an Experience!!!!

I had no idea that Amazon had a grocery store!

It was one of the most cleanest grocery stores that I have ever been in.

Fully stocked as soon as someone took something off the shelf there was staff restocking.

The pricing is competitive however I would definitely recommend looking up what you want to purchase prior or have a list so you know the cost difference from Von's/Walmart/99 Ranch Store and more.

There were some items that were way less expensive while other items where absorbent.

The staff is super friendly as well.

Something that through me for a loop was that paying with the Palm of your hand. They will actually scan your hand to take payment. The Future is NOW!

If your ever in Pasadena or just passing through I definitely recommend stopping in and getting the Amazon Fresh experience!

I was pleasantly surprised by how this store is like a cross between Whole Foods and a regular supermarket. It was much bigger than I expected and has a very good selection. If you have the Amazon app, there is a cart where you can scan your purchases and pay without having to use the checkout. Everything in the store was clearly marked. I thought the digital displays in the aisle were a nice touch. There is a Krispy Kreme in the store that also sells drinks right by the entrance. I think the only thing that was missing was the bulk items bin but otherwise it is a very nice store with plenty of parking.

Overall, it's pricey but still can find on sales items in good price.
If you are Amazon Prime member, a little additional discount will be applied. Usually I scan my QR code membership to the cart. I'm still learning how to make good use of the high tech shopping. Be honest, very inconvenience but fun to learn. I got assistance 5 times from my 45 minutes shopping yesterday. Everytime I learned something new from the Amazon Fresh system. The last fun part was check out by rolling your cart on green zone. Then you are ready to go.

This wouldn't be my 1st place to shop, but it has unique qualities. It is a cool feature to scan when you get in and then just leave the store with your cart, but the time I went that was down so I had to be checked out by a cashier. They now have this option where you can check out using biometrics by scanning your palm. That is a bit much for me. I would only shop here if there was something I wanted that was on sale. They don't carry everything normal grocery stores would but they do have most of what you need. My go-to here is getting their Poke bowl at less than $11 it's cheaper than some Poke restaurants. Their hot bar is currently at $8.99 which can get pricey, but if you don't want to cook it's a great option. Lots of variety of food to choose from.

Sometimes if you are returning an Amazon purchase and decide to return to an Amazon Fresh store they will give you a coupon for doing so. I was able to get $10 of the $40 purchase for returning something there. Also, check your Amazon or the app because sometimes they have coupons for shopping a certain week or month. I think this style of shopping could be great for introverts who don't like to interact with people or just people who want to shop by getting in and out faster. There’s plenty of parking & curbside pick-up. This used to be where the hardware store OSH used to be.

It was a little different as one can track and pay with their shopping cart kiosk. No waiting in a line and go through self check out. Pretty convenient. Just bag your groceries, wave your receipt and walk out. Nobody looks at it.

Loved the experience.
Tried the dashcart, I particularly loved the fact that you can now exactly where you are at as far as how much you are gonna pay at checkout,
Loved the dashcart, and how easy checkout is.
The store was nice and clean and prices were ok.
They have ready made food so if you don't have time or are out of town you can buy food and eat here/ take to your room, specially good when you ate tried of burgers and such.
Pizza was great and so was soup, and eeeeverybody was nice and greeted you(about 5 times during this visit.
You should come at least to try the dashcart, lol.

Ok I was impressed with the Pasadena Amazon fresh store. It was a large store, clean and had many employees working there. The produce looked good, fresh and priced competitively. There was a butcher case, and food court where they had a salad bar and other items like pasta and samosas. There were slices of pizza for sale at $1.99 each. Pastries and coffee machine. I got 2 slices of pizza and the cheese ricotta pizza was really delicious. The vegetable pizza was also tasty. I got a cappuccino and it was okay for $1.99. I enjoyed shopping at this store and the deal of the week is 20 % off for prime members.

Waiting for the longest refund from this location. Will update information on why or to not consider going to that this amazon fresh Pasadena CA. If I dont get my refund the ones who received the return most likely stole it ..#nativeamerican receiver.

UPDATE: OMG! This is no different than when I called a couple days ago the local hardware store to see if they had in stock a specific paint the roofer needed and what the price was. Hardware store had no problems helping me on the phone or in the store. I was hoping I wouldn t like Amazon Fresh but I was actually quite surprised with the wide variety of items, low prices, (especially for Prime Members,) helpful staff and beautiful facilities. Next time you have to return something to Amazon make a trip to Fresh, pick up an in-store coupon and check it out.

This place has changed a lot compared to when it first opened maybe 2 years ago? Has your typical stuff and the manager specials are hit or miss. Sometimes they are great, but so be wary about the expiration dates.

We had to order a lot of pizzas for our Friday night fellowship. We came on Wednesday and ordered/paid in advance. Sebastián was AMAZING. He took our order down and the time we needed it to be ready for pick up. When I got there on Friday, they had the order ready to go! They even help load it in my car! I love that they have so many choices and you can even customize your pizzas for the same price! You can also pick up salads, dressing and other goodies while there! I have ordered a lot of pizzas from Costco and its such a hassle! They usually dont have it ready at the time you want it and they limit the amount of cheese and chili packets to about 15 of each, even when you have 40 pizzas! Amazon is now our go to place for pizza when you need to feed a crowd! Thank you Sebastián and crew for everything you guys are AWESOME!! Thank you for your amazing service and your attention to our needs and exceeding them!!

The grocery carts are cool. All futuristic and stuff. And checking out was dang easy using the app. But the prices? Meh... Not any better than an Aldi for example. It was actually pretty expensive for most things. So yeah it was a cool experience but a pretty expensive one.

My go to place! My wife hates it, she is a Trader Joes girl. What can I say, it is always clean, has a greeter in the front, plenty of parking with charging stations and rarely has any lines for cashier or self checkout. Prices are more than fair and you can find Amazon brand batteries which is a plus. Be careful, a real donut stand inside with coffee, Krispy Kreme.

I shop regularly at Pasadena location. This is the second time the deli section had no one to provide service. after waiting for 5 minutes + we saw two employees chatting around the salad bar but ignored us. After I asked one of them for store manager, finally a guy came out from back to the deli counter. My husband wanted some mortadella. The guy had no clue what it was. after he took his time putting gloves on, and when my husband told him slice it in 3/4 inch- he had no idea what it was. He did not even know how to operate the slicing machine. After fooling with the entire thing for 15 minutes we decided to leave. If Amazon Fresh wants to compete with other grocery chains theyd better improve customer training and service otherwise we wont come back.

Edited 8/20/2024 R.I.P. Just Walk Out Shopping. I got a good year of the best grocery store experience before that was removed and a grand reopening was advertised. I tried to shop inside once right after the transition and was not happy with the silly self checkout cart nonsense. I tried again today and somehow this cart is more annoying than self checkout stands at the grocery stores I was so happy to stop frequenting 2 years ago. After trying to get the Amazon app to load the in-store for several minutes and trying to avoid the store staff I never had to interact with with Just Walk Out Shopping, I gave up, and just walked out. Unfortunately, the pickup/delivery shopping had taken a hit recently too as the shoppers cannot seem to figure out how to check that produce isnt already rotten and they do not read labels on food to ensure its not already past the best by date. I assume everything went south due to greed but for almost a year, this place was awesome. But hey, a Krispy Kreme inside the store is what every Amazon customer was begging for, right? (Yeah, I dont know how they came up with that but I didnt get any surveys asking me if I wanted it or cared. I am not a Krispy Kreme fan and would have much preferred an extended selection of items from Whole Foods.) I love grocery pickup! I have a Prime account so my grocery orders shears have free pickup. You can also shop in store which is great. Its always very clean and organized in the store. You can also choose this location for Amazon locker pickups and you can return Amazon packages here. One stop shop!!!

The room is spacious and clean, two comfortable queen beds, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast is sufficient and the staff are very friendly, the staff is very helpful and attentive, the hotel is well located and meets expectations for its price, with clean rooms and a pleasant breakfast.

Prices can be a little much sometimes but others have good value. Usually have discounts for prime members. The grab and go foods are great on a lunch break. Even have pizza compatible in size and price to Costco as well as diy salad bar. Dash carts can be a good experience if youre grabbing a few things on your way home.

Would give Amazon Fresh five stars, if they were more competitive on price. I like the three forms of checkout: self checkout, traditional checkout with a staff member, and automatic camera based check out... Which may or may not still be available. We stopped using the camera-based check out because of a few mistakes with our charges, Oh, there is yet another form of check out available at Fresh: the shopping cart based scan and check, where you check the items you are purchasing into your shopping cart. All Fresh needs to do for increased success is to provide Trader Joes or Aldis pricing.

DISGUSTING AVOID !!! Bought some cheese on July 27 2024 (Amazon Fresh brand) with an expiration date of October 25th 2024and it was full of mold badly packaged individual wrappers. Went to the store to return/complain and they offered a refund $3.26 (what I paid for the cheese). I asked to speak to manager (Dylan) who offered a free cheese pack. Selling spoiled food is serious!!! Not only got bad food also horrendous customer service.

Personnel has been very helpful and friendly. I was returning merchandise from Amazon. As soon as I entered the store, a staff came up to me asking if I needed help with the merchandise and directed the location of customer service. The whole process was very smooth.

My favorite weekly grocery shopping location Newly opened & it looks the part with grocery carts that ring up your items as you put them in. Clean & Amazon Fresh with great deals on almost every aisle. Fresh produce, prepared meals for a low price, discounts when you return Amazon items & $10 off of $50 or more make checking my receipt when I exit a nice discounted surprise every time. Grocery prices have gone up & produce quality isnt as good. So I tell everyone go to Amazon Fresh & look for the deals to offset the high priced items, like you should at every store.

So apparently cashiers dont bag your groceries if you go through the checkout line? First grocery store to do this. I like that its not crowded, floral bouquets last a long time and price points are comparable to trader Joes and last longer. The scan technology with the carts are unreliable, but all the employees look and act lifeless and miserable, its hard to come here too often. Trader Joes, local Gelsons , people look genuinely happy and friendly. I will only come here if I have to , even as a long time prime member,Ill go elsewhere for in store groceries

The curbside pickup takes WAAAAAAAAY longer than it should. Even with giving them notice of your arrival time and no other cars in the pickup area, expect a TEN MINUTE wait before they decide to bring you your items.

Im not sure when the hot bar is open, its not open when I come after work, its not open when I come before work, its not open when I come on the weekends, is it ever open? The salad bar also leaves much to be desired: there are little to no vegan options in the pre-mixed section, in the other section every thing looks as though its been sitting out overnight. I paid $13 for a wilted salad with questionable chickpeas and the kale was more stems than leaves. I also could only find premixed salad dressing (no oil and vinegar) and no employees around to ask for help. The rest of the store is standard but the quality doesnt compete with Whole Foods and the prices dont compete with Aldi so Im not into it.

Use your digital wallet they say scan in and out so quickly they say convenient they say. Wrong and wrong again. Turns out their digital wallet doesn t work when you need it the most. I forgot my wallet today. No problem, everything is in my Apple Pay. I finished all my shopping and the digital wallet randomly asked for verification. So it wouldn t accept payment. No problem, I used my Apple Pay they don t take it. What a controlling thing to do. If you cannot guarantee your digital payment works, you should not refuse standard payment methods. I won t be back. This was the most inconvenient thing any store has ever implemented. 20 minutes in the checkout, after navigating all the limited options to pay, my child was crying on the floor and the attendant kept just telling me I can t override it . so I finally just left without any of my groceries.

This store literally sucks now I see why its empty all the time employees are not even trained right and are very unprofessional. And most times I have gone here there always sold out on the main items I come for I dont anticipate this location surviving with in the next ten years when they have so many upscale stores in Pasadena.

Visited Amazon Fresh for the first time yesterday. It is a cool place and a fun tech shopping experience. They have recently updated the store with Dash carts that you use to scan items as you shop. You begin by logging into your Amazon account and as you wander the aisles it makes suggestions of items based on you past purchases. The cart keeps track of the running total for you and you can easily use weekly coupons. It was VERY cold in the store and it did not smell great when we went. Not sure what that was about. There is plenty of parking and the store did not feel particularly busy. Aisles are a little narrow but there is enough room to move around. Checkout using the Dash cart is easy. There is a specific lane, you hit checkout on the screen and it determines your total and charges you via your Amazon payment account.

I came here when they first opened and it was a pretty novel experience. You walk in, Jeff Bezos watches you with his cameras and when youre done he tallies up your total and sends you a bill. Simple walk in, walk out. Its entertaining! Now its a regular grocery store where you wait in like like a fool watching the single checkout clerk to putt through the line at a leisurely pace. The singular reason to come here is gone and now its an inadequately stocked and overpriced grocery store one-off. If I wanted groceries Id go to Vons or Costco or whatever. The only reason for this place to exist is the novelty and with that gone it barely pulls a 1 star out of 5 >:(

Initially, Amazon Fresh was my new go-to grocery store as it offered great prices and I could easily return my Amazon orders there. But after having multiple issues with my returns, I decided to no longer drop them off there so I havent frequented here as much anymore. When I do, things have been okay for the most part. What annoys me is that whenever there is a sale on something popular, it usually sells out quickly so I am unable to purchase it. Also there are certain items (like their store brand bagels) that always sell out every time I go there, so I feel like their stock replenishing could use some work. I also feel like parking can be tough at times, it always looks almost full for some reason while the store isnt even crowded.

I was pleasantly surprised by how this store is like a cross between Whole Foods and a regular supermarket. It was much bigger than I expected and has a very good selection. If you have the Amazon app, there is a cart where you can scan your purchases and pay without having to use the checkout. Everything in the store was clearly marked. I thought the digital displays in the aisle were a nice touch. There is a Krispy Kreme in the store that also sells drinks right by the entrance. I think the only thing that was missing was the bulk items bin but otherwise it is a very nice store with plenty of parking.

Beautiful store. I went to get gift cards but they only had 1. I miss the Amazon gift/book stores. I could get nicely boxed gift cards any time. Oh well

Very convenient for pick up and return Amazon stuff. The market is nice and clean, carrying lots of variety of produce, cooked foods, wines, and the most amazing part is the shopping cart has its own scanner for customers to check the price and vegetable weight.

Since opening, Ive been coming here for all my familys grocery needs. They offer quality groceries at reasonable price. In addition, their employees usually are pleasant and helpful. However, today, when I ordered two pizzas with common courtesies like, thank you and have a good day, a female, Hispanic, 30s gave me the stoned-face treatment. We all have personal issues in life. But we go to work, we put up our game face and act professionally. Hopefully, management team would talk to her and provide counseling, if needed.

They dont have single servings of unsweetened iced tea in a refrigerated case. Im very disappointed that my only sugar-free drink options are water or synthetic sugar.

Ok. Fun if you have kids. Horrible experience overall. The smart cart checked us out when we were showing the guy our id for the beer we wanted to purchase so we had to go through the register traditional style and scan everything again! Omg it s so much better just to avoid the time, hassle and order online!

Went for the Grand reopening. I enjoyed the sales, the employees are very helpful. Lots of Amazon buys for groceries. I like the option to return Amazon purchases. It can get a little crowded in the narrow isles. The meat is always good quality as well as the fresh veggies. Initially went on opening day but I have gone back a few times and its not as crowded anymore. I enjoy the 10% off for Prime Members

Good selections with affordable prices. The store usually gives out paper coupons when going into the store. I hope I can see what the coupons will be BEFORE visiting the store. Because without the coupon, it is little pricier than usual grocery store I go to.

Terrible experience. FYI : to all those who order online and have heard that if you receive an order with the wrong or incorrect product, you can return and re-order the correct item(s) from an Amazon store, WRONG ! I did this for an item I ordered through Amazon, which arrived in the wrong size, despite using the sellers measuring chart. I returned it to an local Amazon store, returned the 2 packs of 3 and re-ordered the correct size. Four days later the items arrived, in the same size I returned ! ? I called the cus svc number and was educated by a polite employee who explained you cant return an item(s) that are not damaged because THEY have no way to CHANGE that item(s) size or amount. Ridiculous ! You would think the employees accepting the returns would have enough training to advise customers that if the item(s) are a wrong size, color, amount it only qualifies for the replacement order to be sent to you AGAIN, in the same size ? Than what is the point of doing an exchange ???

The idea of checking out your items in the cart is good, you can bag your groceries easier and no need to wait in the line. But the tablets on the shipping cart keep frozen and the scanner doesnt work every time. So we end up using self checkout.

Wow talk about alot of EMF exposure! Instantly felt this pressure on my head. Like something weighing you down. Had to get out of there quick! I should of remembered all about all of this before even going in but yikes! I felt like the brother from better call saul! If you plan on going here where an aluminum foil jacket. Nice size Amazon Fresh store! Highlight is that you can return Amazon bought merchandise and also do your shopping at the same time. It s remarkably clean as well.

This review is for the Amazon return section of the store. I thought that since this is official Amazon establishment that returning my Amazon items would be easy. But Im having issues returning my amazon order at this location. Im not saying the employees are stealing items or scamming me... but twice Ive returned things here and I have not gotten back my refund. I usually get my refund on returns fairly quickly when I drop off at UPS/Kohls/Whole Foods. I contacted Amazon customer service about this and they told me they had trouble getting my tracking number.. very suspicious.. Another proof is that on one of the return days, I brought in two items to return and only one of them had a complete refund process. Now that I think about it, they never give me a confirmation tracking number or receipt. I say if it looks valuable or if its jewelry (which my items were) do yourself the courtesy and conceal its contents.. Im now sitting on two items that are still pending refund. Return at your own risk.
