A perfect grocery store with a solid deli and ready to eat food section.

For a potluck at work we ordered their fried chicken, fries, potato salad and fruits. Overall it was a great lunch option, I’m a big fan of their fried chicken. Solid flavor and excellent crispness. Huge thanks to Marco & Cuco for taking care of our orders. Very friendly and helpful.

I’d definitely come back here again for grocery shopping and for potlucks.

They have a fairly interesting cheese section even if the French cheese brands are not real I am French we don't have any brand from the store which is sold in France but a lot of choice and it offers powdered chocolate which is good

On top of that, they've started this sleazy practice where they ask you to download their app in order to use a coupon, so they can boost MAUs and harvest data. Incredibly obnoxious.

I visited the market today and while shopping I had the need to use the restroom. I asked a female staff was there a restroom and she gave me the code and guided there as it was my first visit. I entered into the restroom with no issue and while washing my hands and fixing my clothing for exit. A male employee by the name Auston that appears to work in the deli bursted into the restroom coming all the way inside. Feeling very uncomfortable by his male presents as he entered he began to yell at me, stating “ you need to get the hell out of here I have cones blocking, your not suppose to be here” Austin exited the restroom slamming the door. I came right out with wet hands and apologized feeling frightened by his anger. I let him know at the time of entry the entrance wasn’t blocked. I then went on to say for future reference please knock and announce yourself as a male staff prior to entering I felt very uncomfortable.Austin then went on to say he doesn’t care he is a staff here and he does what he wants. I let him know I understand that you’re a staff but you can’t just burst into a woman’s restroom as a man without notice not even addressing his yelling and cursing. I was so startled and embarrassed that I couldn’t even stand there as there was other shoppers and employees looking. All in all his unprofessional behavior was questionable while going back behind the food bar breaking down boxes, just unsanitary. I will not be coming there again, no way.

She gets on the phone and tells the cops the man playing is screaming at the security guard. Not true...this security bum was trying to destroy his equipment and knock it down before I started recording. I pull my camera out and as you can see he didn't like me recording him and thought recording me was going to stop me 😂 oh and he has a fake body cam on. This dude is a straight 🤡 He continues to try to block people from tipping the musician.

I could see if this guy was drunk and being disorderly but he could sing and was a nice touch going to the Store on a Friday afternoon. If you see this security rent a cop and manager tell them they're on candid camera 📸 and need common sense training

I love this Ralph's!!! Everyone is always so nice. The only thing is they do not carry certain items, so it forces me to go elsewhere for those items..😔. I wish they carried everything. Example: Turkey wings, rib tips, neckbones, etc

Products and floor personnel are good. Not accepting email is bad - not answering phone calls for a very long time is bad - taking forever to load (including never loading) the delivery pickup app is very bad.

Good store! But working as an instacart shopper, I had a couple of problems. When I finish collecting items for the first customer order, I start collecting them to the next customer, and I have to leave my first cart at the cashier. And sometimes, they take out all the items that I just found and put in the cart. And I have to collect all the items again... thats why Im late on my some orders. The second thing, thing is that the beauty department closes at 10 pm, and I cant get some items from my orders. Thats not a good thing, I think. I have a bad rating because the store is making these simple mistakes... 2* Only stras sorry... fix these problems, please!

Pickup: freshest grocery picks, quick response time to drop off groceries in my car, and super convenient. 99% of the time they have what I request, and if not, their substitutions are usually better than my selections. In-store: efficient, clean, very friendly employees and always professional. Treat you like family. There are several grocery stores closer to me, but I prefer coming here.

I try to avoid this store because of its chronically poor customer service. Today I stopped by on my way home from the gym and it did not disappoint. Almadelia was rude, dismissive, and came short of calling me a liar when I told her a certain item was on sale (even when I showed her a pic I had taken of the sale tag). She allowed the line to back up, insisting that I find it on the app (the app which never works) and finally gave in after I showed her the pic for the fourth time. She stood there and watched me load my own groceries without lifting a finger, again making other customers wait. When I asked her to help speed things along, she crossed her arms and stared at me. Guess not. All this to say, looks like Ill be sticking with Trader Joes in the future. They know what good customer service is!

I would like to say Thank You to Wes at the Pasadena Ralphs (160 N. Lake) and acknowledge his excellent customer service. I was not having the best day and he had so much patience with me, as I needed confirmation on 2 or 3 matters, while on the phone with him. But he gave 150% effort and made sure that everything I needed was there and that the deli had my food prepared and ready for pick up. I truly appreciate that type of customer service. Its hard to find these days, but Wes helped to make my day a good one!!!

Store itself is clean, presentable, and have decent products. However they really need to train ALL OF their employees customer service and not to selectively folloe certain shoppers around. As an African American and long time customer that is important to me.

I arrived at this particular Ralphs around 12:45am to pick up a few things as I sometimes have a late night schedule. Its closing time is listed as 1am. I was warned multiple times by workers (not a speaker announcement, though that came too, but this was a person directly talking at me) I only had a few minutes before they closed, and by 12:50am, a worker angrily told me NO MORE SHOPPING This felt rude to me. The closing time is listed as 1am, not 12:50am. Id recommend updating the information listed so customers know, because if the closing time is 1am, then customers should have the right to still be shopping at 12:45am, or 12:50am. The closing announcement of 10 or 15 minutes till closing is understandable, but a worker personally talking angrily at a customer in an aisle telling them no more shopping when the store is not even officially closed feels rude to me. I am not an entitled customer, and I empathize that workers are eager to go home. However, if the closing time is 1am, then I think customers should have the right to freely shop up until 1am, without a worker in an aisle bothering them. A speaker announcement from someone up front is enough.

Did you know that Ralph s is the first SUPERMARKET. The one on Wilshire was the first market that brought in butchers and bakers and dry goods and produce all under one roof. Pretty cool. I really like this Ralph s great selection and the staff is really very friendly and professional. The parking is convenient but at times can be hectic. Once in awhile an unhoused person may be there and have an episode but all we can do is pray. Have a good day my good people

The older woman with glasses working in deli in the am has such a poor attitude she acted like it was inconvenience to wait on me and kept snickering when I would ask about different deli meats won t come back to this location idk why this woman works around people if she hates her job and helping customers you know the people buying stuff so she has a job also I saw her using her cell phone while doing my deli meats so definitely didn t buy them how gross and unsanitary

So I was at Ralphs looking for dog food do my super sensitive allergy prone dog Cash. Let me tell you the girl that was in there check out counter probably saved me and my dog from a lot of headache and Scratchy skin. I had told her I was looking for a dog food for my dog who is allergic to most meat proteins. I thought I had actually found a good choice but was also really exhausted that night. Upon scanning my dog food the clerk happened to look at the ingredient list while I was looking for my debit card and noticed that it contained chicken by-product meal which my dog is deadly allergic to. I was so confused because this was supposed to be a high quality dog food from Purina One. I trust that brand the last thing I thought it would have would be a by-product so thank God for that Clerk of Ralph for catching what I didnt catch

Friendly and helpful staff. The only problem I had was trying to purchase a Private Select BBQ sauce (Memphis Enspired) and told its no longer carried. Wish I had known, I would have stocked up, bummer.

Hermen is a great worker. Hes the only one who does the bagging when hes around. The other workers even dont bag. I always see him working and other workers look like they just cant keep up with a single task. The five star goes to Hermen.

Here is an honest review of grocery delivery thru any chain that does not offer their own delivery service. Ralph contracts their delivery service and I am sure this is not unusual practice. They contract with instacart. Because of this there are some oddities and inconveniences you may have to deal with: first, if you order thru ralphs website you will be charged whether your order is delivered or not and when instacart cancels your order for some reason (which I will explain why your order may be cancelled) youre not going to get an automatic refund. You will have to contact instacart to ask for a refund and they will contact ralphs to issue you a refund (thats pretty inconvenient and slightly shady in that there is a percentage of people who will not remember or bother thru the hassle and they will profit from them). You can call Ralphs and they will tell you they cant do anything about it even though they charged you a premium over the fee that the delivery service would have charged you if you had ordered thru the delivery services site. Why Ralphs thinks they can charge you for a service and not be responsible and hand you off to a third-party you had no contact with when things go awry is weird to say the least. They should be upfront in bold print and not hide behind the fine print. Second, ralphs charges 2.5x the regular delivery fee of instacart. I understand its a flat fee and instcart charges extra for heavier items and such, but again ralphs is capitalizing on another opportunity to gouge its customers. Third, if you think going to instacarts website would be better, you may be right...maybe. But instacart prices are higher than the regular store prices, they are essentially profiting from arbitrage of sheer volume of orders at scale AND you do not get rewards discounts and points and you will be charge extra fees for weight distance etc. Fourth, instacart will cancel orders placed thru ralphs for no reason, but most likely because the order doesnt meet a certain profit matrix. I found all this out while trying to help an elderly disabled neighbor get some groceries delivered.

A complaint will be submitted to California Dep. of Public Health, Food & Drug. This Ralphs store was in violation of the food code. I ve returned a damaged oat milk container to the store on Nov 29th at 12:20 pm to an employee named Mike. The next morning at 6:30am I returned to the store and found my returned milk on their shelves restocked. Ive talked to mr. Xaiver the store manager and he said he can t investigate to find out who restocked it but instead it would be easier for him and more beneficial to the consumers if he trained all the 100 and something employees. Even if Xaiver delivered on his promises. For me, training that immoral employee who has no regard of human safety on food regulations is not practical. A decent person would not need laws and regulations to tell him/her that restocking opened damaged milk is a no no.

I was provided excellent impeccable services on these dates 8/20/22 at 7.17pm and 8/24/22 at 7.12pm and was served by Mike B the cashier and Manny and Jayson who helped packed my groceries. And today 8/26/22 at 7.01am was cashier Roxanne M and the helper was I think Andrea or was it Renee? Truong had assisted as a cashier and also helped locate an item I inquired and was very helpful and professional.. And many of the staff had provided excellent impeccable services all these years in every department. Thank you very much.

First let me say I do NOT know how Marco became a supervisor/manager! He apparently has issues with black women and treats them very different from other women. This evening (1/8/22) around 5:15pm (you can check your cameras). He FINALLY opened another lane. There were 3 women before me; the first two went to the lane he opened as he stood in front me, then one young Spanish looking woman walked from behind me and started to walk in front of me (in the now open lane). He said nothing to her so I had to let her know, no you will have to remain behind me. Still nothing from him. Then the Asian lady that was still in the other line then decided she wanted to come into the now open line (not a problem because she was before), but then all of sudden (as I am watching the Asian lady with NO ARGUEMENT) Marco wants to shout to me she is next; wait. Really, like I am a kid and raising his authoritative voice at me PUBLICLY, like as if I am wrong? I waited until it was my turn at the register and asked Roger (the cashier ) to please call Marco over. When Marco came, I simply told him that if you are going to address one customer you should address every customer. I proceeded to tell him that it was not right for him to not speak to me the way he did. In addition why say something to me when nothing was said to the young Spanish woman trying to get in front of me; but then address me loudly publicly as if I was not going to let the Asian lady come through. Marco did NOT say mama sorry about that; mama sorry if you felt that way but that was not the intent mama I apologize if that is how you felt...NONE OF THAT! Marco told me Dont know what to say because that didnt happen. I told Marco, I am only telling you my experience as a customer with you and that is what you did. DO you want to look at the camera above us?... all this at the register. Marco then tells me That is your experience not mines. I MAKE GOOD DECISIONS EVERYDAY AND WHAT I DID I DO DAILY AND I DONT SEE ANYTHING WRONG! I said, so you are not going to apologize? Marco said No, and started to walk away. I turned and said I am not done. He said I am as he continued to walk away. When asked who his DM was he said I dont know. When asked who his immediate supervisor/manager was he said I dont know because I have several. He then did give me a piece of paper with a 310 number on it and said good luck as he turned and walked away.... really!!!! REALLY!!!! I then said, so this is how you treat black women who are customers of Ralphs, I heard him (along with a few other customers who heard also) say yeah! I was like WOW.....and so were your other customers. I am over 50 years and have been shopping at Ralphs all my life and have NEVER had a so-called-manger or any employee for that matter talk to me like that, display public humiliation, be so unapologetic, be dismissive, show racial bias, and have the holier than thou attitude. THIS IS WHO YOU HIRE TO MANAGE, LEAD, SUPERVISE AT NIGHT? The nice lady cashier next to me apologized FOR him because she felt bad at what he said and how he acted....see why is she NOT a manager? Clearly she cares about your customers and understands the VALUE OF EVERY CUSTOMER! I told her thank you and she further informed me of some more information that I had originally asked but didnt get from MARCO. I know I can not be the only customer that he has treated like this and nor will I be the last which also tells me he probably talks to his employees like this too. He is HORRIBLE!

Today I just wish they would answer their phone. I want to place an order for delivery and I am enrolled in their delivery pass but they are still charging me for delivery. Why do you have a phone if you never intend on answering it? No one responds to the corporate chat option either. Must be Wednesday.

Very upset did a pick up order , call the store to let them know that they over charge me explain all the detail the store manager Michelle was so rude and not helpful at all she even hang up on me , call back and they still hang up into I call from my husband phone a lady call Stella help me out but couldnt resolve my issued into I speak to Joseph or Alex for my online order really disappointed never again will I order from them back customer service , Michelle should be fire and not be a store manager if she cant handle the customer .

Came in for my lunch break to buy some lasagna but upon reaching the cashier I came to find out they DON T accept Apple Pay which made me go back to my workplace and get my debit card. This is Ralph s for crying out loud, mobile pay should be standard. One star removed for lack of mobile pay and the other star for the pasta texture being grainy.

Came in today with my boyfriend to pick up a snack and use their restroom. My boyfriend asked a manager walking out of the back/boxing room where the bathroom was. The manager was rude and didn t even stop in his tracks to look him in the eye and just said the answer over his shoulder. No customer service. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he might be having a bad day. I later saw the same manager respond the exact same way to one of his employees asking him a question on the go behind him. The manager said the answer over his shoulder without looking him in the eye and never stopped for him. Not sure who made this 5 5 , salt and pepper headed brunette guy the boss, but that s not how you treat customers and especially your hardworking employees. Bathrooms need to be cleaned. The cashiers/front store girls were sweethearts.

I have very bad experience visited the store today! Can you believed that I have big argue with the staff who work in Deli section (Help customers cut Ham, Cheese ..etc) . She is yelling to me inside the store and all customers heard about that ! She is Asian staff and very impolite and seems like she can t controlling her emotions . Be carful if you are going to that Store( Ralph s In Pasadena , Lake Ave.LA, CA. Special becareful if you go to take section as I have mentioned.

Been coming to the store for almost a year now. but today was the first and hopefully only day where security nervously followed me around. Addendum to this review: second time here, last time, armed guards followed me around. BLack people be warned you are not welcome at the store apparently.

Did a Ralph s delivery online, never received my delivery. No notification was sent, no updates were given. Called this Ralph s location customer service, very unhelpful and rude. After speaking to the main parent company Kroger s, they were able to refund my payment. My advice: During this hardship times goes to Ralph personally. There delivery service s are 1 out of 5 star ratings.

Hi Catfish nuggets ( frozen or Frying service) are not available anymore at this location . We , Pasadena residents disappointed about above matter and we d to request to sell catfish nuggets at seafood department. And, store need to carry more Asian food products. Store buyer and manager need to research what Trader Joe, Sprouts , 99 ranch markets and super king are selling to satisfy their customers. Customer services needs training and improvements. I was just there today and I noticed that their entire cheese section is not properly refrigerated. This is the hanging cheese slices and cubes towards the front of the store. I took several photos of one bag. If anyone is interested to know, improper refrigeration leads to all kinds of botulism, salmonella and other bacteria outbreaks that kill entire families. Case in point the Cacique cheese company. Latin families bought Cacique cheese, prepared it and ate it and entire families were wiped out because the cheese was mishandled and improperly refrigerated. So when will people learn? Improper refrigeration of perishable items and in particular of animal food items can lead to death..I mean, animal meat and animal by products will kill you in the end and age you horrifically, but while you are making uncompassionate and stupid choices, improper refrigeration is completely ignorant. P.s. I can only upload the foul dried stale and bacteria ridden cheese in the photos section so check there for the evidence. Its not fruit. Its cheese.

One of the few good sized supermarkets within easy reach of Caltech and Pasadena City College. You can find good offers especially if you have a loyalty card (its free and you dont have to do anything, just ask for it). Branded products are expensive but their sub-brands are not bad! Good parking and bus stops nearby. Open late which isnt a bad thing

This isnt for Ralphs but for the Starbucks inside. Ive tried my hardest to be as nice as possible cause the morning shift chick is like the most miserable meanest person Ive ever come across. Shes like so miserable I dont know why she works the morning but she should really not work mornings anymore if shes going to be rude to people all the time. Hope she gains some kind of happiness

Store is open til 1 am, not 2 am. Google maps keeps emailing me that my edit has been published and yet still keeps showing the same wrong hours. I dont know what Googles problem is, but the store closes at 1 am seven days a week. Friendlier than most Ralphs.

The best thing that ever occur at this particular Ralph Market is the self check out service . Now I can get in and out in 5-10 minutes. In the past it took 25-40 minutes for the same items. 80% of my time was spent waiting to be checked out. Other issues the store may have too many items, or stuff making the shopping experience rather unpleasant , the lights are dimmed down for unknown reason. This Ralph is not known for quality food , their meat - steak is awful, very low quality and not always the best price compare to T.J, Sprouts , W.F or even Vons e.g arugula cost between 3.99 and $4.99 for large at Sprouts and Vons, at this store it s a $1.50 more, worse yet is the steak you can taste the terrible quality at first chew, quality is not what Ralph is known however there is something odd about this store , something is NOT up to par. Last there are one or two security personnel, which may imply the store, is not safe and prompt to robberies. The neighborhood is OK but has a lot of unsavory elements . nothing bad. Overall the store is a C or C-.
