Honestly, this is my second time I ve come here and I ve been nothing but very pleased! Very lovely people and the food honestly is fresh and delicious! I ve done the all you could eat which is perfect for people who are willing to try Indian cuisine for the first time. Also the all you can eat changes as well, at least from what I ve seen the second time I ve come here. They also have vegetarian options in their menu and in the all you can eat as well, at least these two times I ve come they ve always offered vegan options. (I am no vegan but for those who are and would like to know ) Overall, I can t complain about anything. Everything I ve tasted so far has been very delicious! All you can eat starts at 11am -2:30 pm for $19 per person, so why not give it a try? I am sure you will all love it as much as I have and honestly It s going to be one of my go to places when I am around ! Vegetarian options: They have lentils, garbanzo beans dishes, vegetable pakora, and I am sure they have more things as well!

I would love to give it a 3.5 in my opinion. First off the staff and atmosphere was great. Very clean and organized. Seating were spacious. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was okay. I did feel like the rice was dry. It had a hard taste to it from being dry. Bit chewy. They had 2 types of rice a Yellow and white rice. Also, their chutney looked very artificial. Not gonna lie it looked like it had food coloring or something. Didnt taste fresh. The tamarind and raita sauces were watered down and the chicken Tika Masala was also watery. I mean the creamy sauce foe the chicken shouldnt be watery like soup, right? Or is this a different way of making it? Not sure but what I do know, is that the veggies like the zucchini and garbanzo were good. I mean they were flavorful and had a nice texture. Their veggie pakora had way too much batter and really didnt taste like anything the mango Lassi had a weird concentrate smell to it. I didnt know if it was expired or it was just that strong and concentrated. Well.. I hope they can improve on their food quality. Sometimes its better to make fresh food. I did enjoy their dessert but I really cant stress enough on improving their food and flavors. And although they discounted drinks I feel as if though it was really compensating for the lack of quality. Nevertheless good luck!

Loved the chicken Tikka Masala with mango chutney! Prices were higher by quite a bit since I went a lot there for years before covid. Three of us ate and the total was $114 plus tax. May not be able to come anymore as its a bit too expensive. I miss th men who used to work there and were so nice as they knew I was a regular and would bring me free dessert. Oh well nothing great lasts forever.

Very much disappointed with the taste and quantity. I wouldn t recommend this place for buffet and is not worth for the price they charge. The chicken is not at all cooked and absolutely flavourless. Highly dissatisfied with the quantity of food and has a very limited veg&non veg options in the buffet.

Dropped In for the lunch buffet at around 11:30 on labor day and the place was not crowded. We were sat immediately and placed our order of garlic naan right away. The offerings are moderate in variety and there were just a few meat options, including a chicken tikka. Chicken vindaloo and tandoori chicken. Tikka was ok but the vindaloo was dry as was the tandoori. The veg offerings were actually ok, but I frankly was disappointed in their buffet as it was not well stocked nor particularly flavorful. Naan was fresh, but overdone and dry as well. Mango Lassi was good. Street parking was available and atmosphere was ok. Rest was underwhelming. Wont likely be back, sorry.

I ve been wanting to try this place out. My friend and I went for their lunch buffet. Located on the second floor, with a parking lot right behind (I found out after). It s an affordable $20 for the buffet at the time of this review. The fruit chutney was a pleasant surprise and you have an option between plain and garlic naan. The rice was old and dry, but the two dishes that stood out to me were the butter chicken and saag paneer (spinach and cheese curds). The view of Colorado Blvd from the window seats was nice. The bathroom was a bit of a turn off for me, but nature called. I would definitely go again if given the opportunity.

It was very quiet when I went with a friend. The food was quite decent, though we asked for mild and it was in fact very mild. Dont be afraid to ask for a little spice. It was also surprisingly not too salty which was nice. We got the biryani and chana masala and naan and it was sufficient for two hungry people. EDIT: after going for the lunch buffet Im changing my review. Nowhere does it mention the price of the buffet even though theres tons of flyers for it all over the restaurant. In theory we shouldve asked before sitting down but we assumed itd be 13-15$. Lunch buffet was $20. One hundred percent not worth that price, go elsewhere for lunch. Dinner still fine.

Good food & service, and a small but convenient parking lot. Never had a bad meal there, yet - and my 1yr old niece even liked the food when we took her there, recently. Post-pandemic, came here after a long time gone (my workplace moved), and its still great. If anything, I liked it more - there were some spicy options, which added to it for me. Latest time we came, the manager was giving everyone the side-eye - not sure why, but it was.. creepy? Theyd also blocked the buffet off so only one person could go or come at a time. Vegetarian options: Its Indian fare.

I have always liked this restaurant and enjoyed the food. However, I was very disappointed as the seasoning on all dishes tasted very similar and uninspired. Hoping this was just an off night. Update to prior review. I returned and really enjoyed my meal. The flavors and spices were very good this time and I will return. Parking: The restaurant has very good and convenient free parking.

I was excited to find an Indian restaurant in the neighborhood and although the service and the dishes looked good, the taste fell short of expectations. Vegetable tikka masala- 3/5. the menu says masala sauce but it was made in cream sauce. Although the flavor was good, I wasn t expecting it to have cream sauce. Looked like vegetable korma. Malai kofta- 1.5/5. One of the worst Malai kofta I have ever had. Neither the kofta nor curry was good. It seemed just besan(chickpea flour) balls in besan curry. Garlic naan: 4/5 Onion kulcha: 3/5. Hardly any onion. It was like plain naan Veg pakoda: 5/5. It s a reasonably priced restaurant. Parking: Good parking area behind the restaurant.

We had the tandoori eggplant, samosa, garlic naan, daal, Chana saag, and a mushroom coconut curry and everything was delicious. New Delhi Palace is our new go to sit down white tablecloth Indian restaurant! This unassuming location really brings top quality in food, service and atmosphere. We needed to find a place with great vegetarian options. It caught my eye when searching that the description of this place on Google Maps is Vegetarian-friendly restaurant serving Indian mainstays in a no-frills setting. My wife ordered the Vegetable Korma and I had the Coconut Chicken Masala. We shared an order of Basmati Rice and a Garlic Naan. It was so good! As I embraced my moment of food joy my thoughts drifted back to our old favorite Indian restaurant in Seattle. The food and atmosphere so similar that it felt a bit like coming home. We will definitely be going back. So, if you are craving Indian food I highly recommend that you give this place a try.

I ordered samosa chaat . Samosa was mushy not expected . Then kadai panner didnt have flavour no bellpPaper in it ,they just put raw onions and ginger . I really wanted to give this 4 stars because the service was so good! Unfortunately, the food did not warrant that. We had malai kofta and paneer kadahi, both of which tasted very similar. Not as flavourful as we expected. The rice was a bit hard and we ordered a paratha was not flaky like expected. The garlic naan tasted fresh, I think it could have used a little more butter, but it had a nice crispiness to it. We ordered samosa chaat had the sweet and tangy flavours but the samosas were disappointingly mushy; we were expecting crispy samosas. Their mint and tamarind chutneys tasted great, they complimented each other very well! I actually liked their food more than my husband did. He said he would not come back unless he absolutely had to. I would give it another go and try some of their different dishes, maybe some meat dishes. Again, their service is amazing! No complaints there!

Came here for the weekend buffet and it was quite frankly the worst indian food Ive had in a decade across 4 countries. Couldnt even finish one plate cuz everything was gross. The curries were all watered down to the point that it was nearly tasteless. I was excited to try the butter chicken, but such a disappointment. Even then chickpea curry was tasteless. And the tandoori chicken somehow tasted watery, which i didnt even think was possible. The veggie pakora was soggy, so i didnt put it on my plate. Only thing i found passable was the hot chai tea. No one asked how the food was, just brought the bill over. For $22, the selection was pitiful, the food awful, and within 30 minutes of eating there, i now have food poisoning and stomach cramps. 1 star for the friendly service Parking: Dedicated parking behind the restaurant, 1 hour parking along the street

Review №88

Their food was so good! Garlic Naan was so garlicky and crispy with abundant cilantro. Samosa was good and even the dough was seasoned well (personally the potato filling could ve had even more spices, but still tasted good). Chicken Tikka Masala had lots of chicken and the portion was pretty big. It wasn t overly creamy or rich like in some other places, and it was really flavorful. The Tandoori Eggplant was also pretty big in portion and tasted so good with mashed eggplant texture. The pricing was a bit higher than what I m used to, but the portions seemed to make up for it (except for the Naan). The service was good and the food came out reasonably fast (got there before 6pm). There re huge windows facing the mountains, so it feels open and nice for people watching :) The women s bathroom was clean but the door was so stiff and kept getting stuck that it only left a narrow space to get in and out. Just one reservation for going back to this place was, the cost didn t add up. The breakdown invoice was hand-written and hard to read, so I looked up the price on their website after we left. We were charged $2.11 more than what I saw on their website including taxes. I tried ordering online just to see the total cost, and still showed the same amount of discrepancy. Not sure if this was like a Covid-19 service charge? If it was, I get it but it should ve been disclosed. The handwritten breakdown had four items and we didn t see any extra item/charge on it. All in all, the food was so satisfying, but the lack of price transparency leaves bitter taste in my mouth. May be just double check the breakdown before you pay.

We ordered food twice here and both the times it was a disaster. First time, we ordered chilli paneer and they said they have that item and delivered paneer butter masala instead as if we do not know the difference. Another time we ordered veg biryani along with paneer Naan and malai kofta. Although the naan and kofta were good, the biryani was giving a smell as if it s cooked in the morning or the day before. I have given one star only for Naan and Malai kofta. This is how they take care of their customers. I would never step into this place again. Also the service is not so good as they take forever to serve or deliver the order. Such a worst place.

They have the usual lunch buffet so we cant help but compare it to the other Indian buffets weve been to... and weve been to a lot in the LA, SFV and Sta. Clarita areas. The first thing we noticed was the limited selection of dishes available. May it be from appetizers to the desserts (theres not even a gulab jamun) The taste is ok, but not really worth coming back for. We only got a plate and did not go back to get more. The Naan is ok, no option for a garlic one. And one of them had a hair on it. There was no Chai tea included in the buffet. You have to order it separately even if the price.of the buffet is already $2 higher than other Indian buffets. The servers are nice and very respectful though which made it hard to give a low review like this. The two stars are for them.

I enjoy the flavors of Indian food, but Curry does go good with me. The other dishes were fantastic, we had the lunch buffet. I ate chicken like crazy, the fried veggie things were tasty. Yeah I dont remember the name, LOL

4.5 Really -- Excellent Indian food and its in top two spots for Indian food in Pasadena/SGV area. I would definitely give them 5 stars for their lunch buffet! I ordered the chicken vindaloo (excellent flavor) and lamb kabobs. I liked the lamb, but I didnt know it would be ground lamb and pretty sure the menu didnt say that it was ground. Minor, but I dont prefer ground lamb to regular cuts. The other thing is, Ive noticed that everything is an extra cost now... (not just New Delhi) Dishes used to come with rice, now its extra. Naan (bread) used to be included, and now its extra as well. This type of pricing makes the bill an extra $10.

I have never ever eat briyani like this one in my life. Its worst and not at all a briyani itself. We put $26 ( 2 briyani) in dust bin. Think twice.

Very good Indian restaurant! There are vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and the portions are good. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is upscale, but without being too expensive. If you sit by the window you can see the mountains and people watch.

I checked out this restaurant on our trip to LA. The restaurant was clean, nicely organized, good service, and an awesome ambiance! And now to the food, ordered 3 dishes - chicken Biryani, Mint chicken (green color), and the chicken tikka masala. The chicken biryani I must say had absolutely no taste and was definitely under cooked. :( however, the green color mint chicken dish was AMAZING!!! That dish is a must try for anyone who visits! Then the last but not the least - the chicken tikka masala - It was good! We also had the naan which was great and tasty! I wish our dessert hadnt been a bummer. :( we ordered the Gilani jamun and it turned out to be super nasty. The outer layer of the gulab jamun was soooo crispy it tasted like it was thrown in the micro to warm. It wasnt so great. Overall, nice restaurant, good food, and nice ambiance.

A really nice place! They have a nice selection of dishes. But my favorite is the dinner plate, which has a little bit of everything. The price is good, and it is available as a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian option - which are both pretty good. The staff is always friendly, no matter if it is crowded or not. You have to be a little bit careful, not everything comes with side dishes. But they usually explain it to you in the beginning.

well just had a lunch buffet take out from there and the food overall tasted OK, even though I have had way better and cheaper indian food before. For the price I paid I had hoped at least to see few more options on the buffet table but that was not the case. What disapointed me the most was the burnt nan they had wrapped up for me and I trusted them without even checking and look at that piece of bread, would you be willing to eat it?

Been here many times for the lunch buffet as well as dinner, and always been impressed with the food. Usually not too busy so service is quick. The servers have always been very accommodating and polite.

tl;dr: good food, pricey(10-20 per person) but worth it for me. the place was great! this was the second place i had gone to try indian food which persuaded me to begin loving it. this also is one of the preferred places to go for my Indian friends which says a lot. i recommend it is best to go early in the day (around 12) because they have a buffet which cost us around 11 dollars per person which i thought was a great deal! Some problems of this place is the cost. nearly everytime i have gone it was about $20 per person but i believe it was mostly because we kept on ordering naan(indian tortillas). but even aside from that, this place is rather pricey but to me, well worth it.

Stopped in for their lunch buffet. Not huge, but very tasty. Service was excellent, place was clean and night adorned. They have a full bar, though I just had water. Price was reasonable. They have parking which they validate. Not sure if its 100% free, as I parked somewhere else.
