This is by far the most family -friendly Korean barbecue restaurant. The music is not too loud, the tables are large and clean and the venting system is such that smoke does not get into your eyes. The meat and marination is also decent. Would highly recommend coming here if you have babies and toddlers!

Get the spicy pork belly, it is really good. I also got the bulgogi and the shrimp. The service was great, but I was there on a weekday and it wasn t too busy. The food is great, just order the meat and bowl of rice. Each entree will feed 2 light eaters but if want to be full proper get one entree each for the grill. Throw in a bottle of soju and go home merry!

Soh Grill House is a fantastic spot for Korean BBQ! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. A delightful surprise was the complimentary cotton candy dessert that my children loved! It was a great touch that made our experience even more special. Highly recommend Soh Grill House for anyone looking for a great dining experience! Kid-friendliness: They provided special plates, cups, and utensils designed just for kids, which made mealtime easier and more fun for the little ones. To top it off, the kids were surprised with a complimentary cotton candy treat for dessert, which they loved! The thoughtful, family-friendly atmosphere made our experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Soh Grill House for a great family dining experience!

I highly recommend making a reservation before visiting this place. Without a reservation, you might be treated as an uninvited guest. I called ahead and was told by an employee that there is no wait so come to visit within 10-15 minutes, I was advised to come ASAP. However, upon arrival, I was treated dismissively; the person I had spoken to on the phone acted as if I was making unreasonable demands. I ended up waiting around 40 minutes for a table, and even then, no one provided us with a menu. Disappointed by the employees attitude, I expressed my concerns to the manager, feeling that the restaurant disrespected my time. The manager seemed indifferent to my experience and offered no sincere apology, attempting to remedy the situation with a complimentary drink instead. Feeling frustrated with the entire experience, I left without ordering. Having lived in Pasadena for a long time and visited this restaurant since its early days, Im deeply disappointed and dont plan to return. For anyone considering a visit, I strongly advise making a reservation to ensure youre treated as a welcome guest.

This place was amazing for an inexperienced KBBQer. It was me and my partner (Chinese and White). The staff were so friendly and helped explain what dishes were and how to eat them. They also cooked the meat and sides for us so we didnt have to stress over that part for our first time. The owner ended up serving us due to the flow of people and Chris/Kris was amazing. She let us try the house made Lemon Soju and really solidified that we would be coming back. Our other server was amazing and she took care of us majority of the night, I didnt catch her name but I also forgot my card there and she caught up to me like half a block to give it back. So sweet and above and beyond. We got a plate of Brisket and Bulgogi with two Soju bottles peach and strawberry. The house lemon one was my favorite though and we will be getting it next time we go. We street parked and payed $1.25 until 8pm hit and didnt have to pay anymore.

Ate here tonight for the first time and it was a DREAM! We had the two person beef trio for $120 brisket, Bulgogi, and Rib Eye all bbqed right in front of us. The flavors of EVERYTHING were nothing less than exquisite. I rarely say a place is worth $60 a person, but this place is worth it. Best Korean food I ve ever had!

Our appetizers had a pubic hair on it, shouldve leave. It was a sign. I was a fool for telling them to just take it back and he didnt even bother to serve me a new one. When the meat got here, our server started cooking for us??????? But he just blowing a torch to it and speed up the process? What kind of Korean BBQ is this????? It looked uncooked and dry. The funniest part is, he dropped our meat to the table and just picked it back up, pretending nothing happened. Its a terrible experience and frankly its so ridiculous that I found it comedic. Food was pretty bad but the service was worst, no wonder this place was empty. I regretted visiting it very much!

5 person combo comes around to 40 per person and a nice variety of meats and good quality meat. A little more expensive than the all you can eat ones, but its clean, bright, they grill it for you, the floor and counters are not greasy/slippery like some other places. There are also the complimentary korean side dishes that they refill.

Now you might be turned off by the prices but it just reflects the quality of the food and the meat at Soh! One of my favorite KBBQ places in Pasadena! Their banchan is off the charts and you can always ask for more of what you like. The place is really clean and doesnt seem smoky at all. Its well ventilated too which is nice youre not coming out smelling too much like smoke. They will cook for you also by default! But if you want to cook it yourself you can. 10/10 have been coming again and again! Parking: Plenty of parking around Pasadena. Street parking or the garages around!

Ill start by saying that the service is great. However, given the high price point, the foods quality is rather average.Anyone who is familiar with Kbbq shouldnt visit this location, in my opinion. Dont go there if youre looking for an authentically traditional vibe; the grilling seems to be so weak that they have to use a hand-held torch to finish it up. The cleaness and modern decor and nice service might be a plus if youre bringing young children or taking someone there who has never tried Korean BBQ before.

The sign on the door says it opens at 5 but theyre actually already open in the early afternoon on a Sunday. You get a side salad with your order. And their dressing is so good I want to take it home! Its a house made sesame dressing and its amazing! The quality of the meat is really good too and it reflects the price you pay for it. Overall good experience! It wasnt so busy on a Sunday afternoon but it should have been. The sides are really good as well. The food had quality all over it. They cooked the meat for me which was super nice! I dined by myself and normally kbbq places require you to pay for 2 people but this place didnt! So if youre a solo diner like me, this place is it!

We came early at like 5 and the employee told us because we were so early, she could help us cook because it wasn t crowded. We ordered the marbled meat and marinated meat (at her suggestion). It was DELICIOUS!! I also love the banchan (side dishes) because they compliment SO well!! This place serves rice paper too (my husband told me it s a Californian thing but it is delicious!). This is an excellent KBBQ spot in Pasadena! Not an all you can eat place. However, the meat quality is superior to those AYCE places, wide variety of meats, they offer 5 types of banchan, and they will cook the meat for you. The kimchi is so good and we found out that it is made in-house, and it is a secret recipe. (I asked for it lol). Wonderful and attentive staff, a must place to visit.

Ive been going to this place since theyve opened for almost every 2 months. It has been my go-to place when Im really craving for a good Korean BBQ thats not all you can eat, good quality meats, good service, and good atmosphere. You cant go wrong with their combos but I usually order the prime rib eye. That is because I like how they cook it with rosemary and with butter. I usually go on the weekdays when its less crowded but do make reservations if you can. Also, their appetizers are really good.

The pork dish looks like a huge block and most of it is fat. It looks like the dish that should ve been thrown away. That was not their busy hour and the waiter are not serving us well as serving others. The waiter been cooking for other tables and our meat are over cooked. Korean bbq prices are getting crazy nowadays and this place is no exception. Service was okay but they did not allow the grill to heat up properly at first so the first meat was more boiled than grilled. They did not bring any rice with our order and did not bring more water by despite asking a few times. Then for some reason they brought out another round of banchan at the very end. Overall just make the trip to Koreatown and try one of the places there.

Quality of the meat was phenomenal, prime is definitely the way to go. Ordered a little of everything, but a little disappointed in a few things. The japchae I ordered was a little over cooked, the bulgogi had the sauce poured over it rather than being marinated properly, the kimchi fried rice was kind of bland. I wasn t thrilled with the tables being connected and wide. It was quite difficult to have a proper conversation with those sitting across from me. The soon dubu really stood out to me too, we ordered the seafood one. It was nice that the servers offered to help cook, but with Covid and the staff going from table to table I prefer to cook everything myself and not have other people touching things.

I barely write any reviews, or the type that complains. As a matter of fact its my 3rd review on google. Yet Im compelled to say this much about this establishment. I brought a niece of a sister-in-law that was visiting from the Philippines.Given the reviews, I thought Id make it a go.We were seated promptly as 6th of the patrons in the evening, ordered food from the menu right away. The first part came and I began to notice how all the other patrons food were being cooked and turned for them, but not ours. We were cooking our own at this point, not minding the experience. It became apparent after about 25 minutes of waiting for the rest of the order to come and had to wave our server to ask. He responded as though he didnt know anything what was going on and we still waited for another good 10 minutes to be served again. Until I had asked for the manager, Tamara, then we seem to get the necessary attention that everyone is afforded, but why did I have to? The only explanation I was given is that they were busy. Yet everyone elses food was being cooked and turned, but not ours. We were paying patrons as well. Yes, our waiter became more attentive by grilling and turning our food at that point, but clearly with an attitude. I can only assume because of complaining. Why must I complain or demand the same attention everyone is receiving, without even demanding for it? It is Old Town Pasadena, sadly it seems like middle of Texas for a Filipino in a Korean restaurant, nonetheless. This is my side of the story.

The broth was rich, seasoned perfectly, and the shrimp + mussels tasted so fresh and sweet. I ve eaten a lot of Korean soups, and I gotta say that this is one of the best I ve had. The side dishes weren t many, but the ones they provided also tastes homemade & fresh/lively. Oh, I also got the tofu steak appetizer not really knowing what it was, and that too was stellar! I m definitely putting this on my list next time I visit LA.

Better cuts of meat than Gen. Awkward set up making cooking difficult. Board with meats was nice looking, but hard to fit on table without having to get up and reach over. Service was ok, but not what I would expect for prices.

This is a bit more expensive than other KBBQs I go to, but it was worth it. First, and most importantly, the service was nearly perfect. We didnt make it easy, showing up in 2 groups, changing griddles between the pork and beef, and ordering thirds on the free sides, and fourths on the awesome kimchi. Our server was always responsive and never intrusive. He refreshed the condiments as needed, and offered to cook for us. No thank you, I like to cook meat. Now, the food - the beef and pork were premium cuts, perfectly trimmed and obviously fresh. The sides and bibimbap were delightfully sparing on sugar, the crutch of bad chefs everywhere. My family loved the kimchi fried rice with the perfect sunny-side-up egg. We will return. The parking across the street was $7, the on-street meter cost $2.

Higher-end KBBQ thats a great addition to the Pasadena restaurant scene! Ive been meaning to try Soh Grill House ever since they opened but just never got around to it with Baekjeong literally only 4 blocks away from home in Temple City. Funny thing is my friends and I originally planned to go to Baekjeong but I got that two days ago so we ended up coming to Soh hah... Im a huge fan of korean bbq and this place impressed me from interior design to service to food. The interior design is atypical of the usual kbbq spots. Im talking light wood and spacious, white stone countertops. Very clean and modern. The restaurant is well ventilated and the service was good too. I feel like kbbq restaurants are usually understaffed and hectic, but it was very easy to flag down a waitress or a busboy for more water/sides. We ordered beef belly, beef tongue, seasoned boneless short rib, pork belly, and beef carpaccio!! The beef tongue was great and the portion was very generous (I counted 16 pieces total). Short rib was marinated very well and I couldnt stop myself from picking off the burnt pieces of garlic on the grill when we were done eating. I was also surprised that beef belly was on the menu since I feel like thats more of a lowkey goodie (that isnt offered as frequently as pork belly). Beef carpaccio was also unexpected and eating it brought back memories of Korea :) Definitely not a place to go if youre on a budget (the bill came out to be $50/person), but overall a very good dining experience and I will be coming back!

Much better when its full, because otherwise the accoustics can make conversation difficult. Good is delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful. If youre not familiar with the cuisine, do ask questions!

Korean BBQ seems to be delicious, but the price is horribly expensive. It seems that it was closed a while ago, but it has opened again recently.

Ok, here it goes. It is not a 5 star. I mean seriously. That would make Parks BBQ a 6 star then. This is good. The sides are good. The place is modern. Clean look. The service is great. They cook for you. This is what you get for Pasadena. A nice, modern, clean place with good food & service. You do not walk out smelling like a chimney. This is perfect for suburban house wives that are scared of ktown. Cant go wrong if you are stuck in the middle of Pasadena. For more authentic but not as good you can try Alhambra. But again you are lacking the true food quality.
