Outstanding restaurant! I cannot express enough how impressed I was with the quality of the dishes. We ordered the khachapuri, grilled pork, chicken with vegetables, and Greek salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. The owner is Ukrainian, and we had a wonderful time enjoying Ukrainian music during our delightful lunch.

First time here last night with my husband as I was craving Mediterranean food. Wow, the meal blew us away - absolutely the best we’ve had around town.

Food we ordered:

- Khachapuri (5/5): This is a must-get! I would describe it as a generous cheese-filled soft bread. Look at that cheese pull—how can this taste bad?! I finished my first slice in seconds. I could definitely eat more, but I didn’t want to ruin my appetite for the entrée. It’s best for sharing, as the two of us only ate half and took the rest home.

- Beef Tenderloin Plate (5/5): I ordered it medium but then worried it might be overcooked or dry. Not at all! It came out so tender and flavorful, wow! I also loved the potatoes and butter rice that came with it. The potato was crispy on the outside but had a very creamy texture inside (how did they do that?!). I wish it came with more grilled veggies, though, as there was only a pepper and a tomato. The butter mixed in with the rice was heavenly!

- Chicken Lule (4/5): My husband loved it—juicy and flavorful all around. I just don’t prefer minced meat, but it was still delicious to me!

Decor-wise, it was very modern and sleek looking. Pretty big space as well. We were surprised there were only a few tables occupied on a Friday night. I hope they get more and more business since the food is really amazing! Our server, William, was so attentive, friendly, and funny! We would definitely visit again!

Got the S3 lamb kebab and chicken tenderloin for $43!! Such a deal and was so good. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful with a smokey flavor. The lamb chops was tender as well. The veggies and potatoes were cooked perfectly and left feeling extremely well fed for 2 people.
I can’t remember our waiters name but he’s the tattooed man and was extremely kind. He was busy and running around to tend to everyone’s needs.
Will be back soon for sure!

Have always loved Kebab spots of all levels! So I was stoked one opened up within walking distance of my apartment…

The ambiance is really great, the atmosphere and calming color/materials/finish of the place is nice. The hyped up music and screen playing overviews of beaches abroad was a nice touch too (always a staple at passionate kebab places)

I ordered an appetizer (I forgot the name sorry!) which is a delicious baked cheese inside a pizza shaped/sliced piece of delicious fluffy bread. It was most comforting since my short walk was chilly and windy!

I got a beef tenderloin plate with rice and vegetables (with a Mexican Coke, I think I’ll opt for fries next time, I had bits and pieces of the bell peppers and random sliced salad), the beef was OVERALL ok, but one or two of the pieces were undercooked. I personally think it could use a LITTLE more seasoning/flavor. But it was good enough for now, and well presented. (Which leads me to my next point)

The overall presentation and vibe from the place is great. Very welcoming, relaxing, and courteous! The waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and was great at suggesting what to eat!

Cool spot, a little pricey, but def worth it. Check it out if you live in, near or are visiting Old Town Pasadena!

This clean and modern Mediterranean spot fits right into the timeless atmosphere of old Pasadena. Plates are shareable and interesting, while raw kebab display and the industrial interior decor adds extra fun to the dining experience. Service and cleanliness was on point.

My wife and I enjoyed a fine quality meal quite unexpectedly on Mother's Day. Our four kids were with us, spilling water and food, but staffs accomodated us very friendly. They had fun drawing with crayons while mom and dad savored delicious kebab amd salad.
Our family couldnt resist ordering more to take home for later.

A must visit restaurant! My favorite Mediterranean food in Pasadena. The food is absolutely delicious. Plenty of food is serve on the menu orders. The food is fresh cook to order with good flavor. The food is well presented, appealing to the eye and watery mouth appetizing. So far is my favorite grilled food in Pasadena. The service staff is courteous and welcoming. The place is pristine clean. The prices are very appealing and inexpensive for the quality of the meats and service. I ordered chicken and grilled beef kebab, rice, salad and vegetables with Napolitan desert that was very tasty. The ambiance and decor are soothing. The restaurant is located in Old Town Pasadena Adjacent to freeways and there is plenty of public parking near by. So far I love this restaurant and their delicious food and service i will be visiting often.

I placed an order through door dash to try it out for the first time. As a Lebanese we have very high taste standards for kebabs and middle eastern food. This is by far the worst place that i tried for this type of food. They should be ashamed to stay open and operating. Any Arab will agree on this otherwise they are faking their reviews. Please change all your recipes and your chef. This is an embarrassment to our culture and food.

What a disappointment! I ordered baba ganoush as an appetizer. No pita bread or chips were provided. I was given 3 small pieces of bread and was told that it was on the house. The baba ganoush was served ice cold, like it came straight from the refrigerator. The taste was bland and boring. At other Mediterranean restaurants Ive frequented, it is served at room temperature or warm. I had to ask for olive oil because none was provided. For my main course, I ordered the special of osso bucco w/polenta and vegetables. The polenta was very good. Ill give them that. The vegetables were just carrots. The sauce was tasty however the osso bucco was tough. I tried pushing through and eating the beef because the polenta and sauce were good but after a few bites decided that the meal was too much work to eat. I told the waitress who apologized and asked if they could remake the meal. I said yes and waited 20 mins and the plate did not return. At that point, Id had enough. I told the waitress that I did not want the meal. Osso bucco takes 2-3 hours to make well. I dont understand why it would take 20 mins to recreate the meal. There had to be a pot of osso bucco ready to serve. I understand the polenta takes time however that was not expressed to me at all. The waitress came to me with a check for the full meal and told me the management would not comp or provide a discount for my meal. It was my last night in Pasadena before flying back home and Im sorry I didnt order the kebabs. That was my second mistake after ordering the baba ganoush. Dont order the special. Order what theyre known for. Oh well. The setting is nice and the wine was good. That is all! ***Edited after reading the owners response. I did not eat half of the meal before sending it back. That is a lie. Take the advice of fellow yelpers, and order the kebabs.

LavShash has been operating in Old Town for a while now but remains mostly an undiscovered gem. Ive been twice for lunch and tried the pork chop and pork loin plates. Unusual for grilled pork to be flavorful and succulent, and LavShash was able to accomplish both, twice. Portions are very generous, so you get good value for most items on the menu. As an extra, the bread basket was excellent too. Highly recommend.

My waitress was Alina and she was so sweet, all the staff there were quite lovely. They all checked in with our table consistently which I appreciated. The food was also SO GOOD. Will definitely be coming back.

The food was so good. My husband and I got the katchapuri to start and it smelled and tasted so delicious. Like a stuffed crust pizza that s all stuffed crust. And they had the best lamb chops I ve ever tasted. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. I m going again for my birthday dinner. I can t wait!

This is a great new restaurant with super flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented Mediterranean/Eastern European cuisine! We ordered the Kachapuri, beef lule kebab plate, and chicken lule kebab plate, which were all mouth-watering. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend!

This is still a new restaurant, but placed a pickup order from grubhub, and only found out later upon arrival that they do not have an active grubhub account anymore. Reordered the same thing (beef luleh wrap) and what I got in return was served with a side of ketchup (?). It was just the meat and still-raw onions and peppers slightly warmed up, in a lavash wrap. No tahini or tzatziki or hummus or any sauce of any kind, just ketchup on the side. I would not trust these new reviews until this place gets more time and experience under their belt. Especially not for lunch service, which appears to be a new concept they are still working out in August 2024.

The service is great! Our waiter was so friendly and helpful! The food is just bad quality. It s not bad, it s just not good. The olives were clearly out of a can from a grocery store. I mean it s a Mediterranean restaurant you need to have good olives. And the charcuterie literally had ritz crackers on it. I know we shouldn t have ordered charcuterie at a Mediterranean restaurant, but still you can t charge $20 for ritz crackers. If you re not gonna do it well then just take it off the menu.

This place has my personal favorite Mediterranean food in Pasadena! You can expect the highest quality ingredients and best tasting dishes - you won t be disappointed. I got the M1 which is a large, family-style order (thankfully I was in a group) and shared a ton of delicious, varied dishes with friends. We also got their Napoleon cake for dessert which was divine! Highly recommended.

Very great restaurant, great food, great plates. Thomas is a great guy, he played very good music. I recommend it not 100 times but 1000 times ! The foods are great, they have offered us an incredible dessert after the dinner. Thank you to all the team and we will go back there very soon !

The servers at this restaurant are so nice and accommodating! I can t remember the last time I had a nice conversation with my waiter. I ordered the chicken and salmon plate along with the katchapuri, and I m not sure how to put it but the food tasted clean. In a good way. The rice could use a little more flavoring but definitely the best Mediterranean food in Pasadena. Definitely bringing more family and friends back to this spot.

I liked the halloumi cheese pizza (kachapuri) a lot, but was not too impressed with the chicken kabob. The other people in my party liked the beef kabobs a lot. The humus was also not very tasty. I want this restaurant to do well, the price was fair for a very good portion size, so please make a notice of the reviews. Maybe coming to the table and asking people if there is something that can be improved might be helpful, too. The service was great, both Aline and the young man refilling our water. The ambiance is great and perfect for large parties.

My husband and I are visiting from the greater D.C. area and we happened to walk by this great restaurant. We walked around Old Town Pasadena to shake off some jet lag and returned here to try their dishes. We are so glad we did. We wanted to sample as much as possible so we ordered three apps to share, and an entree for each of us. We had the following: The hummus, it s served with fresh, warm, sesame seeded bread, so good ! Pickles, it was good. It included carrots, cabbage. Maybe get this dish if you want something to help cleanse your palette. The STAR of the evening, the Khachapuri. It s the best way to eat bread with melted cheese, kinda like pizza but better. And of course, the main attraction, kebabs! The Pork kebabs for husband man and beef kebab for me. We both opted for the plate . He ordered rice and I ordered potatoes. The potatoes had fresh dill on top and that was excellent. The kebabs were well seasoned, tender, and delicious! The staff were very friendly and professional & the space was welcoming and airy. If we lived close by, we would be regulars!

Great & cozy place to spend time with your family or business partner. I love it. Excellent and professional staff. I am recommending them as the best place in Old Pasadena. Vegetarian options: I am not a vegetarian, but on the menu, u can find a lot of different options for vegetarians and vegans. Kid-friendliness: They will always pay attention to your childrens comfort. Feel free to come with the whole family. Also, they have tables for big companies.

Fresh and fabulous! It is nice to try a new restaurant and find you hit a home run. We enjoyed the salmon plate with the side choice of cottage potatoes smothered fresh dill along with a Bermuda onion salad topped with pomegranate seeds and roasted vegetables cooked to perfection. The beef tenderloin was tender and full of flavor with a generous helping of fluffy basmati rice. The roasted vegetables included a fresh grilled tomato and 2 peppers. Such a pleasant surprise when you re served a plate full of fresh, colorful and healthy foods that taste great! The restaurant is simple, clean spacious and friendly. You won t be disappointed. Our outstanding waitress sold us the cake and without question we ordered it. Try it its good too.

Sorry to say my first experience was a miss. Order was wrong at pick up. So I had to return. Once home the meals ordered didn t include the items listed on the menu. If you choose to order take out, check your order against the order menu before you leave. Good luck to you and this establishment.

So I was stoked one opened up within walking distance of my apartment The ambiance is really great, the atmosphere and calming color/materials/finish of the place is nice. The hyped up music and screen playing overviews of beaches abroad was a nice touch too (always a staple at passionate kebab places) I ordered an appetizer (I forgot the name sorry!) which is a delicious baked cheese inside a pizza shaped/sliced piece of delicious fluffy bread. It was most comforting since my short walk was chilly and windy! I got a beef tenderloin plate with rice and vegetables (with a Mexican Coke, I think I ll opt for fries next time, I had bits and pieces of the bell peppers and random sliced salad), the beef was OVERALL ok, but one or two of the pieces were undercooked. I personally think it could use a LITTLE more seasoning/flavor. But it was good enough for now, and well presented. (Which leads me to my next point) The overall presentation and vibe from the place is great. Very welcoming, relaxing, and courteous! The waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and was great at suggesting what to eat! Cool spot, a little pricey, but def worth it. I used to live around this area and have not been in a while. Found this new place while visiting an old friend. What a gem! REAL Mediterranean food, expertly prepared. I strongly suspect they might be using some very old recipes. Very nice atmosphere too. They remodeled the whole place, very different from what it used to be before. You feel that touch of class. A date option for sure. Service was sharp as well. All around a great find. Took an extra order to take home as well. I will most certainly be back and soon.

Tried today chicken kabob and khachapuri with green tea. Loved it. For desert I got Napoleon cake and it was like my moms - DELICIOUS. There are so many options on the menu. Ill have to comeback soon. (But hachapuri Ill get again) Parking: Paid parking lot right behind the restaurant- entrance from N Arroyo Pkwy

Really really bad food. Vastly overpriced for gristly flavorless meat. The sauces and sides taste canned. Very poor ingredients. Food takes forever. The service people are nice but hard to believe this place isn t a front for something cause it s so bad and so centrally located.

Been struggling finding a restaurant around old town with a healthy yet also good tasting menu. This place is where I could come eat and leave without any guilt. Hope this place lasts! Got promotion deserts since they just opened? Not sure but it was great too wife liked it! :3

New restaurant. Great food. Great service. Great design. Reasonable prices. Delicious Stella Artois on tap. You can start your meal from just US$15. The two of us had a great platter of delicious kebabs and vegetables and side dishes for US$36.

I loved the lamb chop plate! Very nice service and great food. I also love the display case of skewers and veggies. Cool atmosphere. I m visiting for a few days and I will come back before I leave town.

We had a lovely lunch here. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the space looks very nice. We tried the appetizer sampler. I liked the baba ghanoush best, and my husband preferred the hummus. The flatbread that accompanied it was light and fluffy. We also ordered a chicken skewer and the beef kebab wrap. Both were very flavorful. Portions were more than adequate for reasonable prices. I forgot to take pictures of the appetizer and entrees. We also tried the Napoleon dessert which was light and flaky. I highly recommend! Overall, it was a great meal, and we definitely plan to return.
