Would not let me sit inside and eat during the heat wave when the temperature outside is 109 and on their patio hotter with the black roof.

I don't care how good the food is that was rude. There is nobody else there the young man behind the counter didn't seem to care or think things through. He did offer to give me water and turn on the fans outside but was honestly a little arrogant. I will never be back.

Also had no real cream for the coffee, just synthetic creamers.

The salad is incredibly mediocre and overpriced - there is about a tablespoon of feta and no olives. This is horrible .

They put so many weird spices on it with no vinegar or salad dressing that it tastes like crap.

It took me less than 10 minutes to eat the salad !!

Am I ranting? Absolutely!! Hope everybody is staying cool out there!! 😎

The food is very delicious and most authentic flavors for Mediterranean foods we tasted. The tiny dumplings were the most unique dish we had and the beef was lean and the sauces were flavorful. The service was helpful to navigate the the menu. The Grilled Garlic shrimp were large, tender and plentiful. It was especially good with the rice side and hummus. Outdoor seating not much to look at but the air was cool and fresh. Did take a picture after eating the Baba Ganoush but it was presented with spices and olive oil. It was so good with the thin and chewy pita bread...this restaurant was was delicious start to finish.

Great place, delicious food, and great people serving you. They also have a hooka lounge. The cheese egg rolls are really good. Many great selections of authentic foods. You can have family and friends, gatherings in the back lounge up to 50 people with an affordable set price for each person with all sorts of food selections, with music and video, just go in and talk to the manager. A++. We will definitely be back!

This place has awesome Mediterranean/ Armenian food I believe. The service is excellent. The egg boat/ khatchapura is absolutely amazing! The egg was perfectly cooked and the cheese was gooey . My friends lule kebab plate was amazing as well. The lule was very tender and cooked to precise. They turned a house into a restaurant, and I love the vibe. Definitely coming back here again.

Amazing spot in Pasadena! New owners are super nice and welcoming! Tons of shaded outdoor seating with TVs. The food is top notch! Ordered hummus, cheese rolls, mante and chicken kebab - all were super yummy! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of their menu. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The food was absolutely amazing. Seriously, it's rare for chicken kebob to be so tender and the lule was supremely juicy. Even the rice is amazing, I was wolfing it down - despite coming with a good amount of rice - the fatty inside me wished for more lol.

The dip sampler had a good amount of choices, we went with the cucumber yogurt, roasted peppers and baba ganoush. All three were good but the baba ganoush stood out with just the right amount of egg plant flavor and slight smokiness.

Absolutely recommended if you have an itch for Mediterranean.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT. Terrible service. Ordered at 7:15PM from the website for delivery. Waited until 8:45PM, no delivery... called and was told you have to cancel the order. We can not issue a refund. Go to my email, nothing on the receipt indicates I can cancel the order. Call again the next morning... You have to cancel the order, we can not issue refund. Has the potential to be very cool! Food was good. We went on a Tuesday night and there were only a few people there. Seating is mostly outdoors and it was a little chilly. A few dishes that were outside the norm, and plenty of options for all dietary needs.

The food is n8ce and unique. A lot of Armenian/Turkish/Syrian foods here cannot be found in a regular Mediterranean restaurant. They dont have indoor sitting. The service is nice.

My new best Mediterranean restaurant in Pasadena. Many varieties of Armenian and Lebanese food. The server suggested we try their baba ghanoush and it was amazing! I also recommend the fried kibbeh; its like a fried beef ball and delicious herb flavor. Vegetarian options: Half the appetizers are vegetarian. For entree, there are some choices including falafel plate and mixed vegetables. There are possibly more on the specialty dishes that I did not look at carefully.

We actually went for the hookah and Cafe which is the back part of the grill and Café.. we had an awesome time! Service was great! Our server was really nice and helped us with our hookah because it was our first time, definitely going again with more friends!

As with so many restaurants these pandemic-effected days, Zephyr is way too short staffed, and is out of item menues frequently. They do have a large outdoor patio area with heaters, but bc if staffing shortages t he e service really suffers. We were particularly found of the lamb cho of s, that are delicious and cooked to perfection, but the last two times we went to Zephyr expressly for them, they were sold out. Staff seems stressed, so friendliness is a bit strained, but we will keep returning to Zephyr in hopes things improve.

We just ate some outstanding Mediterranean food at the Zephyr. All the food was beautiful and tasty. The service was friendly and very professional. We tried the grape leaves, three types of dip, steak kebabs, felafel, and the Greek salad. Everything was marvelous. It s a family run business, and the chef can really cook. We loved how everything tasted so fresh and flavorful.

I hate to write a three-star review because as a fellow Armenian I love to support Armenian-owned businesses and dont want to give bad rep. Its just a few pointers for business owners to maybe take into consideration. For positives, I think the family that owns the business are very kind and nice people. They all seem super hardworking and caring of their customers. The portions are very large and the hummus and fried kibbeh were pretty good. For negatives, the rice was incredibly buttery, like buttery rice is delicious but it had way too much butter. The kabob that I got was really dry and it came with eggplants which were quite bitter it was hard to finish and a friend who got the same dish said the same. Maybe it was just a bad day or a bad time to have come in, Im not sure.

I was very excited to eat from this restaurant after all the reviews I seen on yelp and google, I came hungry and excited, only to get food poisoning from the lamb chops. One of thd chops tasted like old meat that was passed the freshness date but was cooked anyway, and then left out. This was the last chop I ate out of the four. The waitress came to my table twice, the whole time I was there on here own. The third time I had to get her attention to ask for my check. I was not impressed with the food at all. The pita bread was hard, and the humus didnt have much flavor or amout. The rice was cold. They had no in house hot sauce available, so offered Tapito hot sauce packets. I went in the middle of the afternoon on Sunday thinking I would receive exceptional service. Instead I left with food poison. I would not want anyone to experience this. I had many of the symptoms and had to rest today. Parking: Parking is limited, but there was room in the back of the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access.

Worse service. Even worser food! These guys cheat you over and beyond. On food and service. They dont bother to give you enough utensils. For four food ordered we got one set of utensils when we got home. Their vegan salad is dozen green olives and few slices of cucumber! Greek salad had old olives and cucumbers. I guess they know takeout are picked up with no inspections and no one will bother to call in or return. How naive of them. I could easily call the county on them. How cheap can you get? Dont bother calling in or eating here.

Opened at 10am. Wide variety of food selections. Delicious! Right temperature, right proportions, great attention. Owner(?) kindly turned on and moved heating lamp closer to our table. Ordered the Kurdiyeh, Sujoukh & Egg plate (pictured), Lule Kebab Wrap, Garlic french fries and coffee (2 people). Great moments can be made here!

What a great place. Was in the mood for lamb and this place fit the bill! My friend Mary got a Chicken Kabob Wrap($10) and I got the Lamb Chops plate($24). Her wrap was fresh, moist and delicious! Mine came with 4 nicely charred lamb chops, fresh spiced onions, grilled tomato and green chile, buttered rice, good portion of delicious hummus, and Pita bread. Wow! So good! Great service. After eating owner Sahag checked on us which turned into a lively talk about food and liquor so called over his cousin Asadour(AKA Ozzie) whos worked as a bar manager at some famous restaurants. In my life Ive worked for catering companies as a BBQ chef waiter, and bartender so we had a spirited talk about drinks and food for over 20 minutes! Theyre both very passionate about all aspects of the dining experience. It shows in the food and service. Will be going back there soon!

Went to try out with a friend, we ordered together my friend got his food first, I waited for about 6 minutes without my food my friend finished eating and when I went in to cancel my order they were coming out with my food. I had to leave and I couldnt eat it but they didnt charge us for my friends meal. I did love the service my friend did say the food was great. I will be back to try it for sure

This place is fantastic. Their food is excellent and they are super sweet and professional and I m psyched to be able to order from my area every now and then. From good old Aleppo so it s no wonder :). I realized a few weeks ago that this old cafe turned into a restaurant with photos on google that reflect the quality. I started ordering the pastries first (mana2ish) and loved the balance in taste and dough (better than any bakery around). The second time was a take out order for chicken kabob, hummus, sujok, fatoosh, all of which were delicious and friends were happy. I m hooked and will be back for more take out and dine ins, including trying the foul , fatteh and much more. Beautiful setup and atmosphere as before. The family is very sweet and welcoming and I wish them the best.

Let me please say, wow, their food is mind blowing and so delicious! I used to come here study and smoke hookah before the transition. I miss hookah haha, (middle finger to the local city law), yet the new owner definitely elevates this cafe into a brand new era. I love it. The food is absolutely amazing.

After reading the great LA times review we picked up dinner last night. It was excellent. Fresh, tasty and good portion size. The menu is interesting with a great selection. Something for everyone. The hummus smooth and the meats so well seasoned. I met Mike and his wife. They are so helpful! Highly recommend a meal from here. So very good.

The food here is amazing! I order something new every time I visit. They have parking in the back which makes life easier. Go slow or you will miss the entrance. If you are new to Mediterranean food I suggest getting the combo plate and working your way up from there. Cant go wrong with any choices though. I cannot recommend them enough. They have out door seating so even during the crazy Covid times you can sit down and enjoy a warm meal like it was meant to be eaten. If you have any questions about the exotic names of these dishes the people who work here are always happy to help you understand what it is you are ordering!

This was my first visit to this place and I really enjoyed the hookah. They gave me a new piPe which a lot of hookah spots dont offer. I will be back to this location. I heard they have belly dancers on the weekend. My total was about $20 for a single hose hookah

Great spot for remote work. Good WiFi and a cool spot. Lots of nooks to hide out and get to work

the atmosphere was really chill, the panini and coffee i had tasted amazing. i studied there for a few hours comfortably, i def recommend this place if you re looking for a place to be comfortable

love the ambience of this cafe. there is an area where it s kinda smoke free and it s nice to chill and do homework there :) food is amazing...even tho sometimes since they re so popular it gets sold out so be sure to come in at earlier times!! additionally, amazing customer service :) miss going here when i used to live closer
