Service was excellent! We had a great waiter who made sure we felt right at home and had everything we needed. We came late in the evening, ate outdoors under cozy heaters, and enjoyed the live jazz trio.

Terrible! I reserved a table for a party of 12, three weeks prior to our event. I also called three days prior to confirm since the Dodgers playoff game was going to be the day of our reservation. My work colleagues and I showed up and they did not have a reservation ready for us. Additionally, we were treated rudely! I was told that their host called out so there was a miscommunication. This venue is inadequate to host a large party. Patio area might work, if youre okay with outside dining though. Extremely disappointing to have coordinated a company outing at this place!

First time coming to eat at this restaurant and its great. Good selection of drinks. Really good burgers. The old town was a simple classic burger but the patty was juicy! Savory short rib tacos and appetizers. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was chill. Great place for date night! Was full when I went so expect to wait if you go in big groups. Im Glad they had lights at the tables to take these awesome pictures.

A confusing little joint. From the host to the literal menu itself, I felt like I was being talked down to. The food is not what youre looking for and communication is just off. The brunch menu says things like: Don t get cute. So theres that. They do Mexican food, but sometimes Chinese food, but also burgers and calamari, and brunch and mimosas. The dishes seem to be ethnic fushion with a heavy emphasis on American...ized. When my order said it would come with corn tortillas, I got chips soaked in red sauce instead. The inaccuracy might explain why this menu carries such a defensive attitude. Poor menu. However, the jalapeΓ±o infused Bloody Mary (as suggested by a wonderful server, Dana) was solid! Topping it with something more than just a few olives would be nice, though, given the prices. A little more TLC in the drink department would go such a long way here, as it seems most folks are here to get buzzed. Hm... the vibe reminds me of my divorced parents. They tried a lot of crazy things to make it work, but they ended up with a shiny, disappointing child. Hey, Im only speaking the way Edwin Mills would speak to their guests, so dont get cute.

Being a former LA resident, when I come back home, I always look for a place that has a certain vibe and I found that place last night at Edwin Mills bar and grill. The jazz quartet caught my attention and from the pretty young lady outside to the drink and food, I was pleased 100%. I will return before I leave town on Monday. And every time I come back home, this will be a must visit. The staff were all great as well. I recommend this spot!!! Maybe theyll let me perform next time, Lol. JCraig

Horrible food to be honest! The service was terrible as well. Asked for no mayo on the burger and it came lathered with it. Waited forever for it to be redone while everyone else finished their meal. Then we left a paper bag of dog treats we purchased at the dog bakery store right next to this restaurant. We called literally an hour after we left and the manager said the server didn t see the bag but I know I left it on the booth where I sat with my family and dog with me. I got in the car and called them immediately. How does a bag of dog treats get up and walk away on its own in an hour ..? Huge amount of wasted money lost both on a below average meal and dog treats left at the table.

The decor is interesting. Food and drinks were a bit pricey. I ordered the chilaquiles and when they asked for style of eggs I said over medium and they cooked them fully through. That was disappointing. The chilaquiles were not spicy at all. The spare rib was good. I went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was basically empty besides a few workers chatting. They took awhile to ask for our order even though there were no other customers. Probably would not return.

When visiting friends in Pasadena for a few days, we decided to give this place a try. The photos looked like a great little hangout. We sat across the street in the little venue, The atmosphere was amazing, there was a 3 man jazz band playing at the entrance, and it was Thursday happy hour. The food was really good, we all got something different and everyone commented on how good the taste was. Personally I got the fish, mine had the best presentation, 2 fish fillets wrapped in noodles, stood up in a pyramid, sitting on a bed of sweet potato puree. It was very elegant. The prices were actually very reasonable for the area, our friends were actually a little surprised by the economic bill. If were back in town again it will be a place to go for sure. Only negative was the parking, but once we figured out where we were, its only a block to one of the parking decks, so typical for the area I think.

We were originally sat outside. It was very chilly and despite all the efforts the hostess made to get someone to turn on the heater, no one bothered to come. We were moved inside- much better! Their menu is small here. It took over 45 min to get food- a basic breakfast and a chicken sandwich. Overall aside from the waitstaff it felt like no one cared about service or business. This was our first time at this restaurant and will be our last. Very disappointing since its in the heart of Pasadena. I wouldn t recommend this place.

The server was very friendly and attentive. Music made for a great atmosphere outside. Had the braised beef short rib with goat cheese and truffle oil risotto. Tasted like microwave/instant risotto and other peoples pictures here support that. There was no goat cheese, no truffle anything. When I didn t eat it they offered to take 15% off the dish. When I went inside to ask if they could comp it as it just wasn t good, I didn t eat it and it didn t fit with what was on the menu, the manager (short guy with a shaved head) told me he d take it off and never to come back and swore at me. So did the other worker sitting at the bar. Extremely hostile and aggressive. It s a real shame because it is a great venue, nice music and atmosphere, nice wait staff but hostile management.

Went here thinking this was affiliated with the revered Equator Coffees (roasters out of Marin County, CA) it is not. The food was not good. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and done more as an omelette. The fluffy banana pancakes were dry and lacking flavor. The cold brew coffee I got at their adjacent cafe was bad and definitely just regular iced coffee. In spite of the food, I will say the staff was friendly and attentive. The overall vibe felt more pub than gastro. Our table smelled like industrial cleaner. Maybe come for the bottomless mimosas, but not for the food.

I am dumbfounded this place is open. Turned us away for a drink at 9:33pm when they closed at 10pm supposedly. If that is really how they operate they are losing the business owner a ton of money and business. I am a bartender and you only ever do last call at most 10 minutes before you close. It is obvious this place does not care about attracting new customers or making $ for the owner. Such a shame since it is a beautiful location and they had amazing music. Also tons of open tables but refused to seat us. Astonishing how some places do business.

The service was very friendly but a bit slow. We had crispy brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were fine but nothing special. We both ordered burgers, one with a turkey patty and one regular beef. They were also fine but nothing special. Particularly for the price. The drink list was extensive. I wish I had taken pictures of the food. I ordered a pasta with bolognese sauce. It tasted like it was literally canned food. My wife had some super salty meat dish. On mine, they didnt offer any parmesan until I asked and even then they only provided me these prepackaged tiny two ounce plastic to-go containers with parmesan cheese. The service was incredibly slow and took her forever to come around. The server didnt write down our order and ended up forgetting an appetizer and half our drinks. When received our entrees we ended up canceling the appetizer. I expect that from fast food or lower quality restaurant but not one like this or so I was expecting. The fact is theyre in an alley and have good loud music to attract passers-bys walking on nearby ColoradoBlvd. Im 99% sure most people go for the ambience and music. There are way too many good restaurants in Los Angeles for me to ever go back or even recommend this place..

Delicious everything! Indoor and small outdoor seating with live music outside on most days. We visited on a Monday for happy hour, and they had a Monday madness special where all appetizers were half priced, pretty much half price on liquor drinks and specials on the beer. Its not a special menu, with smaller plates like a lot of places like to do for happy hour, no, order from the regular menu and the cost is subtracted on your receipt (see photo). Food was great, lots of good choices, with a unique twist to traditional bar food. Services was wonderful as well. Wheelchair accessibility: Its in a little side street (see video I posted) so I dont think you can get dropped off directly in front of the place, but there are no stairs so should be easy access with a wheelchair.

A fantastic back alley bar with cheap beer and delicious food. Live music during the week, some of the best happy hours deals in Los Angeles ($2.50 for certain craft cans!!!), and a grear waitstaff. Very cozy and welcoming!

I am usually here on a Friday night. The band they have Fridays is amazing, they do a rendition of walk like you from the jungle book that is amazing, they keep the place upbeat and energetic. The staff previously was awesome, they got to know us but unfortunately I can only remember two of the girls names of Hilary and Vanessa, but I havent seen them in some time, the staff now I feel like is a little bit inexperienced and this most recent time I went their was a guy who a few times made me feel like he totally forgot about this to the point my food was missing for some time. But the food is always on point and its a good mix of different types of food that is all done extremely well.

This place is great! There is happy hour every day, and on Saturdays and Sundays they have Brunch. The food is pretty good, they have a wide variety of drinks I really liked the lemon berry martini. They have a live Jazz band Monday- Friday and very ambient outdoor seating. Im definitely looking forward to going back.

I was seated outside with a perfect view of the restaurant and the band playing Jazz. The happy hour deals are so good! I highly recommend the peach margarita. Will definitely be coming back to visit and have more drinks and more food.

I love this place! Traditional brunch items at very reasonable prices. My go-to is the confused burrito with parmesan fries. Their bottomless mimosas are only $18 with an entree purchase. There is a parking structure 2 min away behind Miniso. It s better to make reservations if you re coming on a weekend, Everyone that works here is super friendly!

First time in this gastropub. They have a decent selection of food and drinks. The place has a good vibe and has outside seating. I appreciated the live music and nice drinks. We also liked our bleu wings and spicy calamari appetizers. We did not do so well with the mains. Both the basil mignon morsels and braised ribs are overly salty. My potato wrapped snapper came dripping in oil. I had to remove the fried potato shell to get to the fish. We will probably come back but just for the drinks and entertainment.

The atmosphere was positive and the decor was interesting..but where they fell short was the food. I ordered the potato wrapped snapper, I m no chef but I m pretty sure sweet fish on top of sweet mashed potatoes and SWEET salad is not at all appetizing. I also ordered a appetizer that I never received. The wait for food was also 40min+ Wouldn t return here again just because of the triple sweet combo on that dish.

If you are ever in the mood for a low key evening that does not cost a fortune and offers old fashioned live jazz, give this place a try. The $3 martini on thursdays is irresistible but do not expect much alcohol in your drink. The music, however, is wonderful and the vibe is charming and homey. Pass on the martini, stick with the beer and check out the paintings on the walls while listening to the musicians do their magic. You will be enchanted.

Edwin Mills is an American Restaurant located in Old Town Pasadena. They have specials every day and live bands. ::Drinks:: I like the Mango Candy Cocktail. Its tangy, sweet, and had a good amount of tequila. ::Food:: For Brunch, I like the Fidels Fluffcakes. The banana foster pancakes (3) came with rum flambΓ©ed bananas, toasted walnut, and whipped chantilly cream. We also liked the Spicy Calamari. It was topped with red chili pepper flakes and it was lightly battered. The Oh Fancy Salad has fresh fruits and organic mixed greens. I liked the warm crispy goat cheese and vanilla bean vinaigrette dressing. The Edwin Burger was flavorful and it came with crispy fries. ::Dessert:: I LOVE the Nutella Chocolate Cheesecake! ::Customer Service:: The staff provided excellent customer service! The bartenders Sophia, Oscar, and Felix were friendly. Teddy who is the owner also checked on us. ::Notes:: -Indoor and outdoor seating -Parking: Garage, street, and lot

Food was cold by the time it got to us, 2 appetizers, an entire 6-person family behind us was sat, served, and paid before we got anything besides drinks. 2 hours in total sitting outside. Then to top it off, horrible food poisoning. The waiter tried his best, as they were understaffed, but the other waiter on staff was better at getting to customers. He still gave us a discount for the wait, roughly 10%, off and got my girl a desert for free for her birthday.

Great to have live music there on a Wednesday with Ashley and Rick! The fries were great, but I asked for a rare burger with bacon. And I got a well done burger with no bacon. So I was disappointed.

Everything is good, nothing disappointed. Do yourself a favor, go for brunch on the weekend and order the braised short rib chiliquilies...I know I didnt spell that right but they cook it to perfection. Amazing flavor options for bottomless mimosas too! Food

I personally think that Edwin Mills prices are still very reasonable especially their drinks menu and happy hour compare to other places nearby. I like a few items on their menu that I ordered again and again when Im there: oodles of noodles and calamari. The Oodles is like pad thai but I like their version better, less sweet and just perfectly cooked ( I noticed it is generous also on the chicken chunks). They have plenty more options to choose. The latest drink on the menu that I enjoyed so much is the tamarindo cocktail. Its sweet and sour (from the tamarind) but I like it so much, I have 2 glasses each time. Now, they also have Edwin Mills red blend wine. If you like red wine, you can try it. Its very good and its not pricey. You wouldnt be disappointed. Almost everyday they have live music, (except Sat-Sun). You dont get to see see much of live music around anymore, so definitely its a plus! They have cute and unique decorations and brick wall... bathroom also get a nice artistic touch. Poochies are always welcome here, they can sit outside on the patio, they serve water for the dogs if necessary. Good option for dog lovers! I am also a fan of typography and they have it all over the wall. My fave is Friday jazz cartel band.

Their food is phenomenal! Went for a Saturday brunch with some girlfriends and we had a great time. They offer bottomless mimosas for $18 with their brunch menu. Good value for the area. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was delicious! I ate it all before I could snap a pic. The Brussels sprouts that come with it are to die for!
