California Pizza Kitchen at Pasadena

There was a BIG mess up with my take away order (cheese pizza with veggies and pineapple) and I made it very clear as I am allergic to onion and garlic. The first take away was messed up as they added sauce to the pizza (sauce has garlic) and that night dinner I could not have as I was in a hotel and tired and I almost ended up having the pizza and then called and then they asked me to pick up (they should have delivered) and I had to pick the pizza the next day and thanks to Alexis who made the order execution correct this time.

I ended up paying $20 for a pizza, but I wanted the happy hour. The buffalo Cauliflower is so good. And this new drink they have called a Paloma is delicious.

We stopped by this location on the way home from LA. The location it's at can be a little pain in regards to parking depending on the time of the day. In total, there were 4 of us.

The hostess was responsive and friendly. We sat down within 10 minutes upon arriving. It was roughly 2 pm Sunday afternoon. My fiancée ordered Tequila Fettuccine, and I ordered Alfredo Fettuccine. It came out within 15 minutes of us ordering, and it was nice and hot, tasteful as usual! The server was friendly and attentive. They were advertising that you can order their pizza's to take home for $8.00 a piece. We left with 2! I'd definitely come back here if we were in the vicinity again.

We ordered the cauliflower for the appetizer as a change, and it was very delicious. It has the crunch, and seasoning and flavor were amazing too. This CPK was down the street from our hotel so we thought wed try it out. The inside and outside are beautiful. Especially during sunset. We actually go out food to go though. Food was good. I got the fettuccine.My noodles were a lil al dente and the sauce could have been thicker. My wifes cobb was great. Overall, id probably go back.

The host got my name wrong when I called to get on the waiting list even after spelling it out to her. When we get there they said we didnt call. We loved CPK for 20+ years and there food was bland. There new enchilada pizza missed the mark it had no flavor and the feta topping was is an unfortunate decision.

I went in for lunch today at approximately 1pm for a late lunch. I sat at the bar and was attended right away by the bartender, Jonathon. Jonathan was courteous and friendly. He quickly took my order and made my drink and even though I didnt ask for water or bread, Jonathan offered it to me. The bread and olive oil were awesome. My pizza came out in 6a timely manner. Jonathan continued to tend the bar while cleaning the bar area after a large group of customers had just left. Jonathon made drinks and occasionally delivered them to the table himself. Jonathan checked on me regularly to see if I needed anything else or if my food and drink were ok. He was courteous and friendly with all the customers the whole time I sat there. I believe that Customer Service is a dying aspect of the restaurant industry. It seems that servers just dont care any more, so it was so refreshing to see Jonathan exhibiting such great customer service and the whole time with a warm demeanor. I think that it would benefit PCK in Pasadena to reward, to promote, or to at least acknowledge Jonathan for being a great employee.

I love the food at the California pizza kitchen. I also took home one of their eight dollar pizzas and it was so good well worth the price I just wish that our server would ve been a little warmer and a little more upbeat. He was more like a robot and didn t smile, or seem friendly. Parking: The restaurant gives you 90 minutes of free parking and if you stay longer, you have to pay that on your own Kid-friendliness: The parking is very easy as it s underground and you come up the elevator right up to the restaurant and it is also allowed 90 minutes validation and it is very crib kid friendly

Ive been going to eat at this location for the past 20 years. Ive quite enjoyed the spacious modern room in a beautiful plaza adjacent from Pasadena city hall. Try the Thai peanut salad, the lemonade or their BBQ chicken pizza! Just outside there is lovely walking area that leads to other businesses with fountains and sculptures along the walkways. There are nice roses and bushes that are well maintained. I highly reccomend taking an after meal stroll. There are many nice hiding places about especially at night if you need to hide in a bush after a heated family argument at the restaurant or if you want to crank your hog. 10/10 reccomend

One would hate to play the race card, but were sick of being gaslighted... Enough is enough. First the manager gave out coupons to patrons who were still waiting, but somehow she skipped us. Hmm. I wonder why? The only colored people in line, the only ones who got skipped, CONNECT THE DOTS. Next we got sat down at a tiny table, next couple got sat down at a big table, and they were a 2-top too. Hmm. Wonder how they got the bigger table? CONNECT THE DOTS. Management is disgusting here. We have enjoyed this place over the last year or so living in Pasadena, until tonight. We ordered a large Caesar salad and added sauteed salmon. The addition of salmon is $6.25. Having eaten Caesar salad in many restaurants where you can add on salmon, fish, chicken, etc. $6 to $8 for a small filet seems the normal. When we pick the salad up and brought it to the car, we opened it and looked and were surprised to find small salmon pieces that almost didnt look like salmon and so my husband proceeded to take it back into the restaurant to ask about it. The girl who helped him seemed surprised that he was expecting a small fillet of salmon for the $6.25 that we paid. She also wasnt very helpful as far as accommodating or trying to make it right when the salmon was sparse and looked honestly like it was cooked three or four times. We took it home and gave it a go and unfortunately it wasnt very good. The salad itself was limp like it had been sitting around and the small portion of salmon will just call them, nuggets were hard over seasoned and way overcooked. The hostess at the front was sure to let my husband know that if he wanted an actual fillet of salmon he could do so for $15. But unfortunately, when youre ordering online, the menu doesnt reflect that as an option, so theres no way to know that. Ive added a photo so you can surely know what youll be getting for your $6.25. such a bummer because we do like their pizza.

CPK is one of my favorite places to go. Came to dinner here because I was in the area. They seated us fairly quickly however our waitress was nowhere in sight. The other employees made sure that we were taken care of by getting us drinks and bread while we waited. When it became apparent that they couldnt find our server one of the other servers took our order so that we wouldnt have to wait long. Our server eventually manifested but I was so glad we got to keep the nice young man that originally began helping us. Great team work CPK! Vegetarian options: I love the split pea soup and its vegan!

I ve decided this particular location is the best for the buffalo cauliflower. Puts other locations to shame. I just wish the chef/kitchen staff could share whatever magic is happening there with all the other locations- Especially back home in Denver Park Meadows.

We had the personal size pepperoni and cheese pizza. The cheese pizza wasnt cooked enough (hence the blond color) and not enough cheese. We also ordered a child size ice cream sundae, and other locations put a drizzle of chocolate, sprinkles, whipped cream and a cherry...all we got was a scoop of plain ice cream overall, just ok.

I love this California pizza kitchen because of the outdoor seating area. It s quite romantic and perfect if you re going on a date and it s also nice if you re bringing kids because you can walk around while you wait for your food or before and after the food at CPK is usually delicious and I ordered the dumplings for the first time and it was very tasty. My mom ordered the two soups in a bowl and she also enjoyed both her soups. Both my kids loved their pasta and pizza. The service was great and I will definitely go again and I have gone before multiple times.

I used to come here once every month or two but the last time I was here, I saw a man at the bar with a very offensive shirt or sweater and a bunch of workers came up to chit chat with him, one by one, all friendly like. Im all for free speech and everything which is why Im not going to tell someone what to wear but I was disturbed by all the workers letting it go. Im going to voice my dislike by not coming back here anymore. Im also not going to repeat what it said but it was essentially one of the worse curse words. My guess is that the man worked there previously or maybe managed it and all the workers were catching up to him, like long time no see! How you doing? type of chatting.

This location has been going down in service and food quality over the past few years . We loved coming here in the past but over the past couple years its declined to the point we probably wont be returning to this location. There are numerous other restaurants in the surrounding area that management should go experience then come back here and try to shape up the kitchen first then the wait staff .

Walked here so we didn t have to worry about parking. Outside dining looks lovely but it was way too hot! We were seated pretty fast and got a nice seat by the window! It felt funny looking out at the USC Pacific Asia Museum while eating Italian food, haha! The bread and olive oil combo was yummy, always love a fresh warm bread! Couldn t decide between the Mexican Street Corn and the other corn dish but the waiter shared his personal fav and so we went with the Mexican Street Corn and I HIGHLY recommend it!!! It was amazingly delicious and will leave you wanting to lick your plate clean!! Ordered the sangria flight and it was so good! Also tried another drink that I can t remember the name but it wasn t as good (maybe the pacific drink but it was alcoholic. Had passionfruit and pineapple). We got the pepperoni pizza and it was so delish!! They have all sorts of summer deals going on (kids eat free at certain times and you can order frozen pizza for $8 to take back if you order another pizza for your first meal. Check the website)! Overall, it was a great environment, pretty clean bathroom, great waiter service, and delicious food!!

I am a huge pizza fanatic slongside my girlfriend and as per tradition trying a new pizza spot, we gave this one a shot. Safe to say, it was amazing! Their bbq chicken pizza is a must try for the first time(get thin crust if you can). Their new dynamite shrimp appetizer is awesome and probably my favorite thing their aside the pizza. As for dessert, we ordered ice cream with the shortcake and it made for a perfect way to end off the meal and was awesome. I reccomend this to anyone wishing to eat dine in with pizza

I ve tried the pepperoni sausage pizza, chicken pasta dish and 2 appetizers: spring roll and artichoke dip. All really good!! The service started was bc they forgot we were seated at the back booths. A sharp object snagged my jeans from under the table and I told them about it. (No biggie bc no body ever checks under the furniture) it turns out to be a screw. First time trying CPK and it was pretty good. Its expensive but good. I had a passion fruit mango iced tea to drink. To eat I had the Avocado Club Egg Rolls, Cedar Plank Salmon and had a Belgian Chocolate Souffle Cake for dessert. The iced tea was ok definitely my least favorite thing that I had. The egg rolls were delicious especially with the accompanying dressings. The salmon was good and the white corn and spinach succotash was excellent. The Belgian Chocolate Souffle Cake was good but I also tried the butter cake and that was way better. Overall, this is a great place to go to just keep in mind that its expensive.

Hadn t been into a CPK restaurant in years. I d give a 4.5 stars if I could. Food was great, the mocktail selection was very impressive and we loved the cucumber one! Can t go wrong with getting Butter Cake for dessert. It was busy so we had to ask for water and flag down the server for the check. Overall, we had a lovely evening though!

The menu is large and has a wide variety of pizzas, pasta and salads. The appetizers are also great! Order online and come pickup. Parking in the self parking is validated. Plenty of tables available too! Still a great place to dine! Join the club and you will soon find how generous the perks are. Excellent discounts and rewards! I (almost) feel guilty at how little meals are costing now. Parking: But they validate parking. For pickup its free!

The food was good. We ordered The Works pizza. The writer didnt seem to know what he was doing though. He never refilled our water without being asked, didnt clean up the appetizer plates, and didnt even take the menus.

This is a beautiful place and it s right by Alexander s Steakhouse, and the Beautiful architecture of city hall and the beautiful loop . The food here is so good and it s the best CPK I ve ever been in

The bacon in the California Salad was ROTTEN! We picked up and drove home, which is a 45 minute drive. I called to let them know politely, that the salad had rotten bacon. They said they appreciated the feedback amd sent me a $15 gift card and it sid Be Our guest The sald cost $21 after tax, so basically, I paid $6 for rotten garbage! I will never visit CPK again!

HORRIBLE! Ive been coming here for many years. Never again. Came with my 2 kids, put my name on list. Waited 30 min while they seated others. Went back to ask what was going on. They forgot us. Told them again... waited 15 minutes vthey never came to seat us. Forgot us AGAIN. Customer service is free and should be simple. They lost a very long time customer, because they just dont give a sht about service. And now they have the nerve to ask me a favor and post another review directly with the restaurant. DO IT YOURSELF. Again showing zero positive attention to a customer for well over 10 years.

The pizza is handmade, with fresh vegetables and delicious flavor. We ordered Hawaiian pizza and Alfredo pasta. I liked the availability of outdoor seating, the plaza where the restaurant is located is well arranged and there is enough parking space.

Great location for dining indoor and outdoor. Spacious dining area and a nice patio setting overlooking Pasadena City Hall. Food are just as good as the CPK in Arcadia where we normally dine. This location is right across the street from our church. It s a perfect venue for us to catch up with church friends after the service. Lunch combos are perfect for such occasion. With either a pizza or pasta to go with a soup or salad provide the right amount of food and varieties to satisfy all cravings. I normally order an original BBQ chicken pizza to go with a Mediterranean salad. The pizza is a 7 size that would feed one person and the salad is a one person amount as well. The pasta selections include spaghetti or linguine with chicken or shrimp with extra charges. For $12.99 with such combo, it s a good value for the money. For those of you prefer outdoor dining, this CPK has the perfect patio dining setup. With the fountain next to the outdoor area, dinner can enjoy the running water sound along with the view of the City Hall, making conversation with friends much more pleasant. The restaurant also validate for parking. No need to make reservation as this location has many tables.

Ive only been to a Pizza Kitchen twice in my life before these two recent visits, and we only stopped by because it was next to our hotel and everything was closed. But the food was okay and the service was fine.

Quality of food as well as staff service is always outstanding here!!! Coming here for years ever since they opened this location my wife, I, and sometimes other family or friends have never had a bad experience at this California Pizza Kitchen. Staff is always enthusiastic and fast, treating every customer with a smile. During today s dining experience one employee was a true Star: HERBERT, handling furniture and appliances outside, went way beyond his call of duties, showing the greatest care for his customers, displaying a great attitude and a smile.

(7pm Thursday) Parking will be validated, take your ticket. Superbly Synchronized staff! Food came out all at once, Jonathan was on it. Outdoor dining is an option and seems more quaint and warm, less noise too. Pizza was light and fluffy, but I preferred the focaccia. Coming back to dine out in the courtyard next time
