This was our first time here and it couldnt have gone any better. The staff was welcoming, Jose our waiter was spot on with his recommendations. Our food didnt take too long to come and it was hot and well seasoned. The grab legs were fresh and flavorful as was the steak and lobster mashed potatoes. Our drinks were delicious and the ambiance was very grown and sexy. Ill be back.

We had a fantastic experience at Arroyo Chop House. The ribeye was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the chocolate soufflé made for the perfect dessert. The service was top-notch, and the upscale, refined atmosphere made it feel special. While it s on the pricier side, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience made it worth every penny. Perfect spot for a special occasion or a treat-yourself night.

Everything what you expect from a steakhouse was provided to the best customer satisfaction. From, the atmosphere you can tell it s a place to have enjoyment, but can also be quiet or be loud as you want. The service was absolute amazing, hands-down! From the very beginning to the very end, our wages paid attention to detail on everything we ordered provided drinks with our meals and even asked us for recommendations. Onto to the food everything was so delicious except for the tomahawk unfortunately, this was more on the medium than medium rare, which was totally unexpected given, the prestige Arroyo Chophouse is.

We went to Arroyo Chop House las night. Weve been there many time and have considered it a favorite for years. Dinner for three (no cocktails or wine): $435.00... Steaks over and under cooked... a peteite filet that was likely 4oz (!) and with much grizzle... a dry, tasteless NT strip... salads that we overdressed and very plain... sides that were bland. Steakhouses are expensive and I am happy to pay for quality, and I do it often. But last night we felt completely ripped off. We will never go back.

This review is late, but its worth it. This is a fantastic steakhouse. The wagyu ribeye I ordered was the most succulent Ive had. Great flavor, great searing, great cut. Very tender. The lobster was made to perfection as well. Also had the asparagus, its a must. Seasoned so well. Baked potato was fluffy. Location indoors is very well maintained and lit just enough. Definitely feels romantic. But if you want to kick it a notch, sit outside. Looked amazing. Park was the worst part. Staff was fantastic. Prepared to pay well for the meal.

Arroyo became one of our favorite steak houses from the first time we visited this spot. We had the sourdough bread, porterhouse, Kansas City New York, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Brussels Sprouts, Broccolini, Sautéed Mountain Mushrooms, Butterscotch pudding, and New York cheesecake. Everything was perfect! One of my favorite items were the Kansas City New York which is a bone in New York strip steak, you don t see it on every menu but when you do, know that you must try it because it s usually one of the best cuts, and Arroyo knows how to do it really well. I like bone-in steaks to be cooked to a medium temperature and that move has not let me down thus far. You can t really go wrong with a porterhouse either since you are effectively getting a bone-in New York and filet all in one. All the sides were great, my favorites were the broccolini and garlic mashed potatoes, i believe the waitress said that the broccolini was a special for the day so hopefully they have it when you go, but definitely try the garlic mashed too. I don t think you d be disappointed with any of the sides so feel free to explore, there are so many. The desserts were also quite amazing, my favorite was the Butterscotch Pudding. My friend had the idea of ordering it with a side of vanilla ice cream and wow was that a great idea, it only made it better. All in all, I think you re going to be very happy with anything you order, everything was perfect. The service is amazing, no complaints whatsoever, it s exactly what you can expect at a high quality restaurant. To add to the amazing quality, every time we ve been here, the manager has come to our table and asked about our satisfaction, what a good idea, this is something I think every restaurant should do if they care about their clientele. I can imagine this has a lot to do with their pristine quality on everything. The ambiance is also so good, dimly lit, subtle sound of background conversations, comfortable seating, nice crowd, great staff, it all ties in together to make a masterpiece, I can t stop singing this places praises. Side note, it feels like a great place for business related M&E situations. As for parking, it s pretty much only valet and it s not expensive, I don t think you d be able to park in the lot otherwise. There is street parking available as well, however, i have not used that but a couple friends have and they seem to find a spot pretty easily from what i understand. Overall, i love this spot, will absolutely be coming back whenever the opportunity arrives!

A must try for all the steak lovers! We received complimentary bread to start. Our waiter, Patrick, was very knowledgeable about the menu and led us to choose the best option for us. I ordered the steak sampler off of the specials menu which consisted of New York steak, New York American wagyu, and New York Japanese A5 wagyu. INCREDIBLE. So buttery and melted in your mouth. An amazing experience. This was our first time having wagyu and this was the perfect introduction. If you ve never had Wagyu, this would be a great option. My husband ordered the filet mignon, which was surprisingly the worst meat on the table!! It was cooked perfectly and seasoned amazingly. We also ordered the béarnaise sauce which was a wonderful addition. Make sure to add on a sauce! We did not enjoy the truffle Mac and cheese. Kind of disappointing. I do not recommend. I recommend the New York sampler and the filet mignon! We ordered all of it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. I ve heard the soufflé is amazing but we couldn t eat another bite. I d save room for that next time!

Food was hard to fault, and service was first class. I have had plenty of amazing steaks all over the world, and this ribeye was right up there. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and read the table well. Only caveat is that it is a bit pricey, but the quality pretty much justifies that. Parking: Valet only, so factor in the additional cost.

My boss searched the internet for about 5 minutes and made a reservation. The atmosphere inside the store is so nice! ! The grilled scallops were so good that I wanted to order another dish, but I was worried that I wouldnt be able to finish the main steak, so I decided against it! ! However, I regret that I should have eaten one more scallop It was really delicious and went well with the wine I ordered. When you go, you must eat scallops! If you like it, order another dish. Please do not forget this.

It is necessary to make a reservation in advance. The restaurant was full so it was quite noisy. The waiter patiently introduced the famous dishes of the restaurant and analyzed how to divide the portions between the three of us. It is worthy of praise. Because one of the side dishes was salty, we reminded the waiter that the waiter would be there immediately. We were given a dessert. Will patronize again.

Cons: 1. Our steaks took 45+ minutes to get to our table. 2. I got served an undercooked steak. At $68 a steak, I would hope that I can have it cooked to my liking, but that wasnt the case. 3. The brussel sprouts were terrible, they were bitter and undercooked but somehow were also burnt. It seemed like they might have run out of their usual roasted brussel sprouts and opted to pan fry some for us on the fly. 4. They forgot to put butter on our baked potatoes. 5. The TV playing sports in the restaurant really cheapened the whole experience. Pros: The bread and Caesar salad were fine. In short: I am dissapointed with my experience and do not recommend this restaurant.

I ve been a fan of this spot and Parkway next door. The food and customer service did not disappoint for a well deserved five star restaurant. I started with a traditional Old Fashion and our appetizers were their very delicious cheese garlic bread, half dozen oysters, jumbo shrimp, onion rings, and creamed spinach. All the sides were delicious but the garlic cheese bread and onion rings were the standouts and were phenomenal. I ordered their ribeye and it was a the perfect size, not too large and just the right amount of marbling/fat. The flavor was excellent and it was cooked perfectly at medium rare. I think I could have gone to a smaller size cut to account for all the other food. We finished the night off with their chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream and it was a phenomenal dessert. Overall it was an excellent dining experience with great customer service. The input from the wine sommelier was also great when suggesting a wine to pair with. I d definitely come back again and try their other menu items. Parking is only valet from what I remember, I d call to confirm because I took a train(A-line) to get here.

Stepping into Arroyo Chophouse in Pasadena was like entering a realm of culinary delight. With its timeless reputation, its no wonder that this restaurant has become a staple for steak lovers like myself. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the bone-in ribeye Texas steak. The expertly cooked steak boasted a charred crust on the outside that gave way to a tender and juicy interior, showcasing the skillful mastery of the chefs. But the culinary journey didnt stop there. The cod dish, with its delicate flavors and impeccable seasoning, left a lasting impression. And then there was the soufflé dessert - a true testament to the chefs artistry. Each spoonful revealed a burst of flavors and textures that danced on the palate, leaving me in awe of the culinary creativity on display. However, amidst the culinary wonders, there was a minor drawback. The restaurants ambiance, while undoubtedly cozy and intimate, was also quite dark. While it added to the establishments charm, it posed a challenge when it came to reading the menu and attempting to capture photographs that did justice to the exceptional dishes. Despite this, Arroyo Chophouses enduring presence in Pasadena is a testament to its dedication to quality and excellence. It has carved a special place in the hearts of those who appreciate a well-prepared steak and a memorable dining experience. For anyone seeking a truly exquisite meal and a taste of tradition, Arroyo Chophouse is the go-to destination that continues to deliver exceptional culinary delights.

Vegetarian options: There are options but you did come to a steak house Parking: Valet parking only, you can find free street parking but be careful about the signs. I made reservations at Arroyo Chop House to celebrate my partner s birthday. We were greeted by charming and welcoming valet attendants who were cheerful and smiling. The entrance to the restaurant is surrounded by beautiful flowers so we stopped to take some selfies and pics of the garden. Restaurant is dark and romantic. We were greeted immediately and sat at a table across from the gorgeous bar. Our server Lauren came over right away to review the menus and specials for the evening. Lauren was AMAZING! She took such good care of us all night! Everyone who touched our table was attentive and smiling all the time. I notice these things. Nothing worse than dining and being surrounded by staff that look and act miserable. That was not the case at Arroyo. We re feeling good with all the energy being fed to us by they staff (even the manager came by to check on our table, speak with us a bit and make sure all was well) now on to the food and drink!! Every dish and cocktail was perfect! We ordered the half and half sourdough and garlic bread, chopped salad and oysters to start. Our dinners were the filet, New York strip steak and lobster. For dessert, the dark chocolate soufflé served with whipped cream and ice cream. I had three cocktails, La Poire, Mrs. Pink, and a sambuca. Each was beautiful to look at and equally delicious! I want to add that the restaurant presented a handwritten birthday card at our table upon arrival and candle on dessert. I really appreciated this extra touch to make my birthday guy feel special. Arroyo is just over the top in their level of service from beginning to end. You re in good hands here for any special occasion!

The food was great! Amongst the table there was the scalloped potatoes, asparagus, Brussels sprouts for sides and a ribeye, porterhouse, New York strip and the special Tomahawk. Someone also ordered the lobster bisque. No drinks other than water. It was all very delicious! My reasoning for only 4 stars is this- where we were seated, the corner or a room jam packed with tables full of patrons, was so loud. Majority of the meal was spent either close to shouting or not talking. Now I get it was a Friday night at a popular restaurant. But this was next level. I think the corner of the room amplified the noise. Along with that, it was so dark we had to pull out our phones to use to see the menu. Finally the wait time between ordering and when our food was delivered was borderline obnoxious. Again, I get we were here on a Friday night but waiting over an hour for our food is too long. On top of that, the server would disappear for stretches of time. It was weird. Overall, food was good! Go try this place. Just don t sit in the room across from the host stand.

This is a nice place! Off the plane and wanted something light and so the oysters and king crab legs were good. The quality wasn t quite up there but for the price it s acceptable. The thing that I really liked was the wine list. Very varied. Obviously a lot of west coast stuff but even then sufficiently varied. Anderson Valley Russian River etc. and nicely aged Zinfandel. We had a Sauvignon and the Zin. They also had some reasonably priced Italian whites and a few burgundies. It s clearly more of a steak place and everyone was eating steak and it looked good but maybe next time! Service very friendly.

You all know I call balls and strikes completely unvarnished, so here goes my take on this very expensive establishment. We had a party of 10 with very good friends. Valet was a nightmare, that started the evening and ended the evening waiting while tons of people getting their vehicles before us however arriving well after us, obviously not well organized and $7.00? really nickel and dime, not a good look.. We got seated but not inside the restaurant but in a COLD as ICE tent... Yes, there were portable heaters but not all were operable from what I was told by staff and we didnt like having our hair on fire. The tents are very unprofessional and inappropriate especially for the amount of money we were about to spend this is simply unacceptable....COLD uninviting and lacking ANY ambiance, we were not here for a picnic in the park with brown bag lunch, but this is precisely what we got... Food: ribeye was very run of the mill for a $90.00 cut of meat, not extraordinarily flavorful or tender, lots of gristle, the plate had a very odd and unsettling/unappealing smell and temp was lukewarm at best.. Ive had FAR better for FAR less, which was rather disappoint to say the least. Sides were decent, the potatoes and the corn, were not bad but FAR from stellar which is what we were expecting. The bill was over $2k.. I would have expected MUCH more, unfortunately expensive lesson learned.

Had a great meal last night at Arroyo... my first visit. I can say that everything I ordered was at least very good. We went with another couple and shared an enormous amount of food and drinks. Scallops, and crab cakes to start. My old fashioned was quite good and my friend reported his lemon drop was the best he had ever had outside his home. There was a little slowness in service in the beginning, but I cant say I minded too much. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Our meal turned out to be a marathon. We ordered filet mignon, and I had the ribeye. They serve only prime beef, so we all ordered medium rare and it came out just right. My steak was delicious and tender, well seasoned but not overly salted. I asked for a side of blue cheese cabernet reduction. The steak didnt need sauce but I wanted to try it, and it too was quite good. For sides, we went a little crazy and ordered 4. Three would have been plenty for the 4 of us. Both vegetables were very good and the scalloped potatoes were luxurious. The last minute add on of onion rings was a pleasant surprise. (Tempura batter style). There are fish and chicken entree options here, which I am sure would be good given how great the seafood appetizers were, but this is a place for steak. As you can imagine, like any premium steak house, this meal was extremely expensive, but I can say that I would definitely come back, and next time, perhaps order less food. Its the next day and I am still full!

Food was good. We were expecting great based on reviews and price point. Service was horrible. We would have enjoyed another drink but waiter disappeared until we asked for the check. Staff that brought meals out were friendly.

Old fashion chop house. Dont be in a rush, enjoy the comforts of the place. Bartenders know how to fashion any cocktail and the meat selections are excellent. I have not had a side I have not liked.

We came here for hubby and my anniversary dinner. We ate outdoors and it was nice. The lighting was good, it was covered and heated. The staff was very friendly. The porterhouse for two was good but smaller than we expected. However, it allowed room for dessert. The creamed spinach is a bit too peppery, the garlic mash was really good, and so was the chocolate soufflé. I ordered the La poire and it was really good. It was a very nice, delicious experience. Vallet was easy and quick too and onky $7. I recommend coming here

the grounds are stunning especially for the holidays. the food was fine. I had a salmon special which was... salmon. it wasnt bad, but it was a salmon you could get anywhere for a little cheaper. the corn souffle and scalloped potatoes were way more interesting, good stuff. the chocolate souffle for dessert was pretty good. it wasnt the best souffle Id ever had, but you know what? There arent a lot of places in or near Los Angeles that do souffle nowadays, so to have this option is good. Service was excellent. I didnt try the chops, so in some ways thos review isnt that fair, but Id give the salmon 3 stars, the sides and dessert 4 stars, and the ambiance and service and the fact that they even make souffle 5 stars (even though the souffle itself wasnt the best but just pretty good). Id come back to try an actual steak and a grand marnier souffle. the lobster bisque and garlic bread sounded interesting too.

Problem I had with this steak cuz we ordered like a 36 Oz porterhouse for $117 and theres no way that steak was 2 lb maybe it was 18 Oz at most. So its kind of a ripoff. Service was perfect and Beyonce was perfect I really like the place but I ordered a bottle of wine a steak to side dishes and I think my dinner bell is 240 US Dollars the steak definitely was not worth the money if it would have been the correct size maybe.

A superb upscale steak and fish restaurant. On par or better than Mortons or Ruth Chris. Great craft cocktails are possible. Theres valet parking but you can self park as well. The sea bass was as good as the steak.

Loved the outdoor seating. Server was excellent (Brent). The food was okay. Mashed potatoes not real flavorful, use that butter! Souffles so disappointing, dry & bland. Chocolate souffle no sauce. Grand Marnier better the good Creme Anglaise. For price food should be more outstanding.

My favorites steakhouse but service today was not the best. My cowboy ribeye and lobster mac and cheese was sensational. Our service from the point of entering to leaving was lacking. Parking: Only valet parking unless you want to park on the street. Few blocks away. Pretty safe area so that shouldnt be an issue. Just check for time restrictions.
