It's for birthday celebration, but the mood was totally killed, the WORST SERVICE I've ever got in my life!
We were arrived 5:30, no much people at that time, but still wait around 15 mins to be seated, usher said outside section would be warmer since there's heater so we chose outside.
It took more than an hour for a server to take our orders, while we patiently waiting for our food, a male staff with a black cotton mask moved our heater to accommodate other guests without even a word! We were a bit confused and pissed! We tried to get a new one but they excused and let us hanging in the cold waiting. Few moments later, new guests joined our section, they got immediate attention and the same guy bring a heater immediately to their area while leaving us shivering in the cold. We were so angry! Is that because we're the only Asian out there so he treated us like that?! Totally disrespectful and unacceptable!
We tried to ask other server for help but sadly nobody cares, we were so disappointed.
First time leaved NO tips for this horrible service.

It's for a Christmas celebration for two. We had a booking and were admitted and seated after 20 minutes. The appetizers are small like really small budgeted bite-size Caprese and tomato even the bruschetta (see pictures) compare to the price. I think it's a rip-off. They can do better than that. We came for the experience and not for the small bite-size appetizer. The main dishes (spaghetti with meatballs and innkeeper's pasta were good and decent portions. Tiramisu is okay nothing to get excited about. The ambiance is next to nothing. We were just literally on the pavement covered with window glass that they called the restaurant. I was expecting a very nice restaurant inside the mission inn. The service could be faster and the waiter could be a little quick and alert. I waited for about 10 minutes for a soda refill and waited about 20 minutes for the tiramisu to come to the table. It was an okay experience. I could have gone to las Campanas or Duane’s. Just stay away from this one. It was not a romantic and chic place to be.

I applauded the hosts, the waitress and the servers who frantically and apologetically served my guests at the Bella Trattoria restaurant of the Mission Inn in Riverside last night. I also appreciated the kind gesture of free dessert to make up for our inconvenience. However, the entire dining experience was in fact a nightmare and an extremely embarrassing one to me as the dinner host. (1) First, I made the reservation a month ago and even called the restaurant several times prior to the dinner reservation to ensure our booking was in good order. Our reservation was at 6pm. When I checked in at around 4:15pm. I was immediately told that they “triple-booked, “ confirmed by Manager Shelby who she did not know if they would have our table ready by 6pm.” I was also told the kitchen, with no advanced notice, changed the menu on us one day prior to our reservation and the dinner selections (family meals) I submitted for my guests a week prior were no longer valid. So they had to pick their selections from the menu all over again and only to find out Tortellini was sold out. (2) As stated earlier, our dinner reservation was at 6pm and we were only seated nearly after waiting for an hour, and after proposing to sit outside in the patio which they accepted. (3) Then, another surprise came only to find out they squeezed our seats around several smaller tables to make up a long table so tightly to the point that no adults or a child (all my guests were adults) could comfortably sit and dine. I had to remove three chairs from the long table, removed a dirty cup and re-arranged the utensils. Some table settings only had a fork on the napkin while the rest had all three utensils (two forks and a knife) together. It was a mess. It took me another 10 minutes to rearrange the utensils and the seats. Because of these reasons. my guests were not seated until close to 7pm. (4) After we finished the main course, our waitress literally disappeared. We waited for about 20 minutes before I asked the host to find her to take our dessert and coffee order. By the time we finished our meals, it was already very late and the restaurant was already stacking up the chairs inside and getting ready to close for the evening. I hope this review is helpful to you, and the management team at the Mission Inn will take it seriously, evaluate the past poor reviews of repeat incidents, and thus to make positive changes for the good of the present and future patrons. Positive changes can only begin from the top! Poor leadership yields poor customer services. Eventually, it will hurt your bottom line and your brand as a whole collectively or even get the municipal’s attention ! It is with no justification and explanation that me and my guests had to experience what we did at Bella Trattoria in Mission Inn! It is shocking! It is a shame to the restaurant and hospitality industry!

First time at this restaurant. We were seated on the patio for four. Nice atmosphere! We ordered Bella’s Caprese, Cesar Salad, Margherita Pizza, Chicken Pasta and my favorite the Innkeepers Spicy Penne! Everything was delicious! Service was great! And a shout out to Miguel who was so gracious and personable about seating us and checking on us!

Ive come to all the other restaurants in the Mission Inn and had great results but after reading the reviews on this Italian restaurant it seems this type of cuisine is not their specialty. Seems they need to re-train staff for this restaurant to provide better service and give the customer a better ITALIAN experience. Also the food seems to be mediocre so maybe getting a cook that specializies in ITALIAN cuisine rather than using the cooks they use for the other restuarants. Seems like thats what is happening and its unfortunate cause I wont visit until the reviews improve. Its too many overall complaints and I hope mangement takes notice cause this could be a really good place to go eat. Especially since Mission Inn is so historical, the overall service and food in thos area should be also.

Service was ok, atmosphere is good, the house wine is mediocre, Pizza ingredients are low quality and had a bad taste. I recommend the fried calamari. You can go to other places and have a better quality dinner for those prices.

The ONLY reason I m rating this two stars is for Amer who tried to get us a server after waiting for half an hour. As someone that works in the industry the standard, even if busy, is a simple greet, nod, or eye contact to acknowledge our existence. We received none of the above. Pretty upset staying at The Mission Inn (which I have my own beef with at the moment) we went to Las Campanes and were seated immediately. Maybe it s understaffed. Maybe it s Maybelline. All in all. Not impressed

2nd time coming here and can say the salmon is definitely the best dish they have hands down. The piccata sauce they put over the salmon makes the dish a hit! This time we wanted to try the pizza unfortunately it let us down. It tasted a bit like a pizza you would get from a buffet. What would ve made it better is if it had a longer char.

Horrible service , table next To us tried to leave, another table asked for menus after waiting for so long and hostess gave them attitude. Waiters disappeared and food took forever. Don t recommend it here

Been a client for more than a year. They changed the menu recently and it has gotten SO much worse. Main meat/pasta courses are small. If youre vegan - your options will only be drinks and bruschetta. If you are vegetarian - there is NO main course for you, except for a pizza. I used to love their tiramisu - it once was divine, but not anymore. I would happily return if I see them match quality with prices they currently have and work on the menu that is restaurant worthy.

Service was great, but everything else was mediocre. Food was brought less than 2 min after being ordered, which meant they had the food premade on standby; we didnt even get a chance to strike up a convo before we started eating. The selection was extremely small, so I was surprised it wasnt fresh, but the food was boiling hot, I burned my mouth because I didnt see the steam of the food since it was very dark inside the restaurant and the servers didnt warn me about the temperature. The taste of the food was basic as well, nothing special about the sauces, or the meats. The atmosphere was uncomfortable as well; since it was a really small place, with limited space, every conversation being had was bouncing off the walls and I couldnt even hear what my fiance was saying who was sitting right next to me. Overall it looked nice, I thought it was going to be lovely, but it wasnt a date night spot. I think people feel, since its the Mission Inn its going to be fancy, and exquisite but its actually just a dressed up corner cluster, that was so lively, and loud, I felt that everything was so rushed. We were given the bill within 10 min, and we were out of the place within 25 min of arriving. I felt that olive garden wouldve been a better choice, because they wouldve had more selection, more alcohol choices, a more intimate setting, and a better taste in food. We wouldve at least had time to have a decent conversation, but I know there are few folks who like their food ready in an instant, so it would be a good spot for you if you do. Glad I tried it once, but I dont recommend this place to anyone. Parking: Free street parking is about 2 blocks away, and paid lots are always full. Wheelchair accessibility: Doors are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair for inside dinning, but there is limited space to choose from. All tables are meant for chairs, but they very are clustered together.

Chester the chef was just the sweetest. We thanked him for the meal because it was so good and let him know that we were celebrating our 2-year anniversary and he brought out the coolest tiramisu dessert for us. It was such a great experience. The lasagna was to die for.

Food is fine but service is very slow. They try but understaffed it looks like. There aren t so many other options in this area. The tortellini and spaghetti meatballs were ok. The Calzone was bad. Vegetarian options: Not so many options Kid-friendliness: They don t have a kids menus or kids options

The food was cold, burnt, bland, and not prepared the way we asked. We also waited about an hour for it too! The back waiter did not even check it. Our table was extremely wobbly, so we couldn t sit or eat comfortably. We couldn t keep drinks on the table without it almost falling. I normally don t leave feedback like this unless it was really bad. It s a shame because the Mission Inn has a great reputation

Not at all impressed. I can take anyone to a much better Italian experience for half the price. Service wasnt attentive enough to our needs, took forever to check on our table. Took forever to get bread to the table and the food was a long wait as well. The only good thing was the atmosphere at Christmas time simply beautiful! Will not go back.

My wife and I ordered 2 dishes that we could share and they were linguine with pesto and tortellini that had short rib beef inside. Both were really good!

Tes, it was right after Christmas and they were busy, but still, thats jit an excuse. They first wanted to sit us outside, but we had reservations for inside, which they verified. It didnt matter because it was just as cold inside since they kept the doors opened, and the people outside at least had heaters. I must add that being our anniversary I was exited about our dinner and had dressed nicely for the occasion, but because it was cold I had to keep my coat on at all times. How dissapointing that was. The food was mediocre. I ordered spaghetti and it arrived barely warm with no extras of any kind. No sprig of parsley or cheese parmesano, nothing. I had to request the cheese, and then again, as they forgot. The $14 bread basket had 3 pieces of good bread and then these small and thin bread sticks, which are sold at grocery stores for a whole lot less. My husbands pizza was good. When asked for dessert, the waitress didnt know what kind of pane cotta they had, but by that time I was sure we could get something better for less somewhere else. Then the bill came and it was wrong, they had to redo it twice. The 3rd time it was correct. I dont think we will be returning there.

Understaffed... Took 15 minutes to get water, and a double espresso (The waitress didnt understand doppio... By the way.) It tasted like regular coffee, and not fresh, maybe lavazza from a k cup?? Yet a salad, once ordered, came out within 60 seconds, and on a hot plate. Will not come back on a Sunday afternoon.

I visited the restaurant expecting a delightful experience, but was disappointed. The service was slow, It took way to long to get our food, half the menu was missing at a 5:30 dinner, and the only warm piece of food I was able to get was a cup of coffee. The only thing that I would give anything close to 5 stars would be the ambiance. Not a place Id recommend, a real shame considering their location is very nice especially for the holiday season.

PLEASE LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! We literally only saw our waiter twice; like three different people brought us our stuff. The food was okay and not a closer to good okay. My husband ordered the chicken and they brought him breading with some chicken, my spaghetti wasn t good, and our friends steak was SALTY. The WAIT time reviews are real!!! Horrible experience.

Nightmare! Only giving 1 star because there is no option for zero. We went on 12/27/2023. Worst servers and customer care I have ever encountered. We had reservations for 2 months and everyone in our party was excited to meet up and dine here. I mean its the Mission Inn you expect top notch. What an EPIC FAILURE on the part of the servers and restaurant. We waited 20 minutes after being seated before someone came to take drink orders, then another long wait before dinner orders were taken. When dinner came it was lukewarm for a $48.00 steak. One of our guests didnt get her dinner until 15 minutes into everyone else getting served, with no explanation or apology. We shared our meal with her until hers came . The servers would drop the food off and then quickly scurry away and ignore a request for bread, more water etc. Entrees were supposed to have vegetables and instead a sad lettuce salad was substituted without informing the diner. We werent even asked if we wanted dessert. The next day I called the restaurant manager and asked for a call back, crickets. I have now left 2 voice mails for the restaurant manager and 2 for the hotel general manager to return a call to me. No response was made so I posted this honest review. Diner BEWARE not worth the high cost of the meal.

Overpriced for what they have to offer. It is basically eating at Disneyland. You pay for the atmosphere but does not match the food or prices. Parking: Parking sucks. Prepare to pay between 10 to 15 for parking.

If you want an unforgettable dining experience, this is the place. This place is ridiculous. We made reservations at 7:30 pm for table for 4. Multiple appetizers and main courses are out. Even bread were out. Waited for over an hour for the food. Only explanation we got was yea we are closing early so the kitchen is closing up. The so called manager is a joke, had to flag her down to address the situation. All she had to say was yea, thank you for coming.

We went to Bella trattoria and las campanas during our stay. During the holidays, they are overwhelmed. Both reservations had us sit 30-45min past our time. Once we were seated at 7:45, Bella trattoria stated they had no more pizzas which is half their menu. The food we did order was not good- simple and bland. Same with the food at las campanas, and we tried several things. At both locations, the staff expressed that they were understaffed and that mission inn doesn t care how busy it gets during the holidays. Servers don t seem to know about their menus; you can t really ask them for suggestions. I think the only reason to eat here is for the ambiance and to just hang out. For food, I think the riverside food lab is much better. Being such a famous hotel, the restaurants are surprisingly disappointing. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are few and not good. When we told the server we were vegetarian, she simply responded no haha.

The food was so bleh. The only redeeming dish was the branzino. Everything else was a manufactured, out of the jar, sort of taste. The focaccia bread was hard and cold, the pasta sauce with the papardelle tasted like it was out of a jar, and the pizza was just so mediocre. The food was barely hot when it came to us. The service was fine, and we came during the downtime in Christmas Eve. Just an overall most mediocre and disappointing experience at nice location. Don t look here expecting great Italian.

Do yourself a favor and dont spend your money there. I understand that these are busy dates but it took them an hour to serve us, they even served people who arrived after us. I didnt stop and leave because they had my card information because they dont make reservations without a credit card. The food looked like it was taken out of a freezer box, my childrens pizza was burnt, the worst place in the Mission Inn (and I thought the bells were a bad place)

Only reason I am giving 3 stars is because our waitress was really sweet and the food was decent BUT management clearly lacks here. I understand things taking longer when its busy but the restaurant was pretty cleared out by about 8p and we hadnt even ordered our food (1 hour in) and our whole experience took 2.5 hours. We had to wait 45 min for food to come out. Burrata should be room temp and it was freezing cold, and milanese come just with the piece of chicken and no sides. So we werent that impressed. It just seems like chefs/mgmt need to learn time mgmt and efficiency and teach to their staff. I never blame the Staff when they are nice-its clearly a mgmt issue. Shelby was so sweet!

The slowest restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. We had our reservation for 7:30, got seated at 7:45 and did not get our food until 9 pm. The whole restaurant just felt very poorly run and chaotic. Calamari was good tho, but avoid this place if you can.

No, I recommend this Italian restaurant because the food is very expensive and not tasty at all I mean, the pasta dishes are flavorless and they give you everything that is dry and tasteless, it is not at all pleasant for the price $$$. And by the way, they charge you 20% tips according to their taste. They also want me to give them an extra for the little service that there is. I ordered a plate of pasta and they brought me a fish. I mean, they serve you whatever they have available. They dont have many dishes. Whats on the menu and to top it all off, usually in an Italian restaurant they always give you an appetizer in this even the way you walk they charge you for it, they really go overboard

My husband and I had a reservation at 5 pm , Saturday Dec 17, busy evening because of The Festival of Lights at Mission Inn. We arrived at the the Bistro at 4:55. Our table was ready for us at 5PM. The two young ladies responsible to sit us were sweet and in a good mood. Kitty was our waitresses, very helpful and with a great attitude. She took her time to explain the food. Every staff was helpful and with a great attitude . Food and drinks arrived on time. The Restaurante was very well decorated for Christmas, beautiful atmosphere. We were very happy with the food we order. For appetizer I had Calamari and a delicious Penne with luganica Sausage. My husband order the house salad and Tortelinni shortrib. Garlic bread was fresh and perfect. Delicious !!! We will be back.

We went there for dinner with a 7:30 reservation. WE were told 15 to 20 minutes, We said we could sit outside as there were heaters. We were told they were not working as they were out of propane, Fill them ! We were finally seated at 810, 40 minutes after the reservation time. server never explained the wait. WE ordered at 825, My first 2 choices were not available as they were out of sausage ?? At 840 still no bread. We asked the server, she said it was baking. I told her it now was 1 hour 10 past our reservation time. She said she would get the manager. The manager said sorry but offered no explanation for the wait. An explanation would go a long ways. She said she would remove the bread from the bill. That was not done. We finally received our food at 910. 1 hour 40 minutes after the reservation. the bread was obviously not fresh out of the oven. No butter was supplied, we couldnt find the server. The bread was still on the bill. WE did not bring it up as now we were just tired. It was 945 noe we just wanted to leave. The entire evening was very poor. Will not be attending this restaurant again.

We decided to eat here because we couldnt get a reservations at Duanes. We had the absolute worst service from the moment we got there. We had reservations for 645p and dint get sat until 7:15p. We watched our table sit empty the entire time we waited. We sat down and the serve Jacquline came by after 10 mins and told us about the menu, and quite a few items on the menu were not available. She was quick to walk away but I got her attention, she came back, and I ordered some garlic bread. We waited for another 15 mins. By then, another server came by to drop off the bread, and I asked her if we could place drink orders. She sent Jacqueline back. We ordered drinks, and I ordered a side of limes with my drink. 10 minutes later the drinks came and she brought lemons. I told her we were ready to order, and she said she would be back. We finished the bread. After that, Jacqueline passed by our table 4 times, and on her 4th pass, she acknowledged shed be back. Again... she was helping other tables but, she kept returning to those tables without stopping by ours. The manager passed by and noticed we were sitting there looking displeased. I told the manager everything. (By this time, it was close to an hour since we has sit down.) The manager took our order and walked away. This was the last time we saw the manager... During this time, I finished my drink to see how long it would take to get a refill. That took 25 minutes. 30 minutes after placing our food order, Jacqueline came by and wanted to verify what we had ordered so the order could be made!! My food arrived 20 minutes after that, and my wifes food arrived almost 10 minutes after my plate. Thats unprofessional and rude. My food sat and got cold since I wanted to eat with my wife. We had planned for dessert but by the time Jacqueline came back around, we had enough. If any of the restaurants in the area werent so busy, we would have gotten up and left. We saw servers constantly helping their own tables but, Jacqueline was usually nowhere to be found. I have never not tipped anyone. I almost did not tip but, I did anyway. Just not as good. I get that good food service has dropped off since Covid but, this was ridiculous.

The worst service ever! My sister and I were seated outdoors and waited for over 1.5 hours. No server showed up to take the order. It s still forgivable during the holiday season, what happened next shocked us. Four old ladies were seated outdoor later, and the male host with a mask moved our patio heater to their table without asking us at all! We wouldnt have minded sharing, but the guy completely ignored us. When we asked for another patio heater, they claimed the other one was broken. Few moments later, they provided a new one to another table. We were the only Asian there , first time in my life felt got discriminated. The restaurants system appeared chaotic. The only thing that arrived promptly was the check. Unbelievable!

The service was horrible, thank goodness for the food runner. Our server came and took our order and was never seen again until I went and grabbed food runner again amd asked if he could tell our server I wanted another soda.. she brought it and asked if anything else we needed. The hostess kept seeing ours and other rables not having water, so she would go grab water and fill our glasses. When I went to look for our server, the servers and kitchen staff looked and acted chaotic. The food options were limited, no Ceaser Salad as they had before, no lasagna, but what we had tasted good, but ridiculously small portions for the Calamari and salad for the table They really need some management help, as it looked like restaurant that just opened up.

We sat down and were told water was in the way only to find out 20 minutes later our server had gone home. We then waited an additional 15 minutes before water finally arrived despite the restaurant having maybe 3 other tables of guests. Having only 4 pasta dishes on the menu it was a shock to see the poor execution of half the dishes. Having elements both under cooked and overcooked in the same dish was mind boggling, not to mention the lack of seasoning and quality from dishes ranging in prices upwards of $30. I simply cannot recommend and honestly wonder where it went wrong, the place was stunning but the lack of quality food was just too hard to overlook.

Worst service and food I have ever experienced. Several people walked out because a waiter never took their order. My bread and salad was terrible. The I left.

I was expecting a nice meal, what I received was stringy tough chicken on top of a flavorless pasta bed for $28. Needless to say the $9 bottle of water didn t come with the missing flavor. The heirloom tomatoes were squishy and on the verge of being old. I was shocked at just how poor the service was as well. The waitress mumbled the entire time, my wife making the comment, I can understand her because I speak whisper too. The food was brought by another waiter and our original server never returned to check on us. We never received a refill on our $4 coke that was packed to the rim with ice. While chewing the hard pasta, I literally spat it out on my plate and just completely stopped eating. I am not exaggerating or making this up. We were out for a date and my wife thanked me for it, but the food and experience was a bust. One appetizer and 2 entrees, 2 cokes and a bottle of water $97. Let this serve as a warning, don t waste your time or money here. Con Amore in Corona Crossings is an ACTUAL Italian restaurant that serves high class food and a wonderful dining experience. Lesson learned for me

A cozy venue with great outdoor seating. Fantastic food, i had the linguine bolegnese. Pet friendly, which is a huge plus. Overall, we had a great experience. I would recommend it to anyone, and we will certainly stop in again.

Atmosphere was nice, servers were excellent! Food was served cold and was not what was expected. We ordered the innkeepers pasta and a linguine plate. Portions were small whichever would have been fine if the flavor was there. Im sorry but am a bit disappointed when it comes to fine dining.

Was hot when we arrived and inside is not much cooler than the outside, the sun was really heating the area where we sat. There was only one other table occupied but I looked around and it seemed like they had less tables that could take a 9 person group than they use to. The food was pretty good although the bottom of the lasagna was a little overcooked. The staff kept saying sorry and struggling to keep up with our needs partially it was water and what would be usual items for the table. They did improve as the meal went on. They also brought a dessert for my in-laws anniversary with a message on it. Not the best experience but not the worst.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. I loved the architecture and art displayed as well as the soft music playing in the background. Our server was very kind and sweet and made sure we were happy with the food we received. The food we received was fantastic. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and was very happy with how it came out. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is in the downtown riverside area.

I came here for the first time for lunch with my husband after visiting the cheech museum. We had to wait a bit to be seated, and I quickly looked up reviews. I noticed that they were pretty bad. I should have taken that as a sign and left. However, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, as you cant always trust reviews. The service was painfully bad and slow. Im willing to sympathize to a certain extent as Ive worked in restaurants and I could tell they were probably understaffed. However we had to keep reminding our server for basic things and we waited almost 45 minutes for our meal. The food was not good, I got chicken picata that just tasted like soggy butter noodles with burned chicken on top. And it wasnt cheap, for two entrees and an appetizer it was over 100 dollars. We got to the restaurant at lunch (2pm) and because of the extenemly slow service we didnt leave until after 4pm. Please trust the reviews and dont come here. Its not worth it.

We ordered Bella s Caprese, Cesar Salad, Margherita Pizza, Chicken Pasta and my favorite the Innkeepers Spicy Penne! Everything was delicious! Service was great! And a shout out to Miguel who was so gracious and personable about seating us and checking on us!

Dined last night - early Valentines dinner bust. Booked a table for 6:45 - they called to move our reservation to 6:15 bc Open Table does not take weekend times into consideration? I find that hard to believe. Lo and behold, a group of 4 walked in at 6:45. Overall service was very much rushed, you could tell they wanted you out by 7. Very disappointed.. checked on every 5-10 minutes we actually made a running joke about it. Inside restaurant was so dark and cold - I felt embarrassed and asked for a candle! Lol ambiance. Food was very subpar - went with waitresses recommendations - caprese salad, flavorless not worth it. Penne dish - filled with oil and separated from sauce. Salmon was ok. Overall experience, not worth it. Does not compare to other Mission Inn restaurants. If you are considering, take these multiple reviews as a caution for your experience. Will not be going back. Update 2/13: to mention, my husband was served rancid water (tasted like cleaner), now questionable he has food poisoning with upset stomach and all the symptoms.

Reservation was at 6:45 waited 45 minutes sat down at 7:30pm . when we went to go sit down to wait to be called, we asked the other people waiting if they had been on hold for a table too It seems that no matter if you make a reservation, everyone will still have to wait about 45 minutes minimum. We got seated, and it took a little while until a server finally came to our table. The menu was very small, and the food had small portion with no seasoning. I should ve read the reviews before coming here. If you are trying to take your wife, husband, or just have a good evening out, I do not recommend this place. Olive Garden would have been way better. McDonald s on a patio would ve been nicer.

We had a reservation booked for a month and was looking forward to a double date dinner. The waitress was very friendly and polite, gave us a lot of information when we were seated about how the restaurant has been closed due to COVID and there was a new menu. We put our orders in, and we unfortunately still didnt have our 3 pasta dishes and a pizza after 2 hours of arriving. Other tables came and went by the time we had to call a waiter over and ask what was happening. We waited a further 20 minutes and after arriving at 5.50pm we ate at 8.20pm. We didnt get an explanation as to what had happened until the very end of the evening at 8.55pm - where we were told the kitchen hadnt processed our order at the beginning and we had unfortunately been missed. The Innkeeper pasta was very spicy just for a word of warning, great if you enjoy spice but if you dont i wouldnt recommend. The BBQ pizza was nice but unfortunately the chicken on it we took off due to it being very dry, and very hard to chew! We were really looking forward to the evening, but unfortunately i would not recommend or go back due to the excessive wait and the mediocre food. Which is a shame as we did find our waitress to be very nice and friendly.

I usually never comment anything but I Made reservation and still had to wait for an hour and a half to be seated! Host (small bearded guy) who was also serving tables told us 30 minutes and when we came back he told Us another 30 minutes! Reservation was at 7pm and we didn t get seated until 8:40pm! As a server who once was a host myself I understand the stress and you re short staff but that s no reason for poor work ethic. We were a party of just 2 and the host picked and chose who he wanted to seat. Treat your clientele better or find something else to do. For the public, my message to you is Use this restaurant as a last resort or simply go anywhere else. Definitely not worth picking this place for an important romantic night.

Dine on 12/26. The restaurant was short staff so the service was very slow. The server took our order around 6 but our food came out after 7:15. The spaghetti was cold with no favor. Ask the server to replace it. The second one was hot but still had no favor. The worst spaghetti I ever ate in an Italian restaurant.

Its for a Christmas celebration for two. We had a booking and were admitted and seated after 20 minutes. The appetizers are small like really small budgeted bite-size Caprese and tomato even the bruschetta (see pictures) compare to the price. I think its a rip-off. They can do better than that. We came for the experience and not for the small bite-size appetizer. The main dishes (spaghetti with meatballs and innkeepers pasta were good and decent portions. I could have gone to las Campanas or Duane s. Just stay away from this one. It was not a romantic and chic place to be.

We were a little skeptical after reading some negative reviews. But we wanted to see the Christmas lights, so we made a reservation. We had an unbelievable experience. Appetizers, dinner and dessert. Dinner was fantastic. We all tried something different and were pleasantly surprised. Service was great, seated at our reservation time and food was delicious. Very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. Parking: Parking is always a bit of a challenge at this time of year. We used the valet at the parking garage.

Very disappointing dinner experience! We waited close to 10 minutes before we got water or any kind of service at our table & it was only 5:15pm. When we ordered our food we told the server we knew what we wanted. We ordered 2 appetizers & 2 entrees. The appetizers were served first then 2 minutes later the entrees came out. It would have been nice to enjoy the apps first. I had to ask 3 times for my glass of wine & when my husband asked for a sparkling water they brought a warm bottle of san pellegrino. No glass, no ice! Overall the food was good but the service was terrible. I will say though the server was very pleasant! The entire staff just seemed very disorganized & hurried last nite.

I made a 7:30 reservation for me and my wife. We are visiting family from out of state and I wanted to take my wife out for a nice dinner. When we arrived at 7:30 the host was complaining about being short staffed and how her iPad was outdated. Like I understand your stressed but all of our jobs are stressful and I m here to have a great experience and your complaints really didn t set the vibe for the night. We then we re told that the wait would be 15 minutes. We didn t get seated until 8:45. There was a small waiting area that had no room so we had to hang out in the cold until we were finally seated. Once we were seated the managed sat me and my wife at a 4 person table. We were relieved. But then the manager came back and said don t get to comfortable, we are going to move you to a smaller table . It was ridiculous. We ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. Caesar salad was $14 and 4 slithers of chicken was an additional $8. I was very disappointed. While we waited about 30 minutes for our entree it finally came out and the portion size was about the size of a fist. I finished my food in under 5 minutes. The whole restaurant was freezing. I had to give my wife my coat as she wore it while eating. The whole experience sucked. It would be one thing if the food was really good but the food was very mediocre. We stopped by a fast food restaurant on our way home to get food because how hungry we still were. I will not be coming back.

Wow, where to I begin. What a terrible experience we had at this resturant. We had a reservation for 7pm, walked in and the restuarnt was maybe 3/4 capacity. We waited 30 minutes to be seated evn though there were plenty of open tables. Once we got seated we got our bread and water right away, the bread and water were probably the best thing this resturant has to offer. We ordered drinks and appetizers immediately, and waited about 20 minutes for that to be served. Then we ordered our food and waited another 30 minutes for that. We asked for refills several times and didnt get any until they took our empty plates. So by that time we were ready to go. We asked for the checks and waited another 30 minutes for those. By this time the restaurant was down to about 1/4 capacity. We gave her our cards immediately when she brought the checks over and she told us itd be about 5 minutes cause there was so many other tables she was serving. Yet we noticed she was only going back and forth between our table and one other. So 20 minutes later we walk up to the counter cause at this point we just want to leave. So we tell her we are leaving and let us sign our bill. She comes back 10 minutes later with our cards and receipts. All in all, absolutely terrible experience. Terrible service and mediocre food at best.

We stayed at the Mission Inn so we wanted to try this restaurant, we sat inside, then felt the need to walk out immediately, because the ambiance was cold and not inviting yet we gave it a try. Received our salad (which is an addition, not included with the main course, it was a side salad size with a main course price) we had to ask for cracked pepper with our salads, then the server walked away and we had to ask for some salt and pepper for our table, the main course food was mediocre and cold, I had to ask for more water as the water person walked back and forth yet never stopped to ask if we needed more, we werent asked if we wanted more wine or beer until our plates were taken away at the end, then once nothing was left on our table, I had to ask for the check while all the servers were talking amongst themselves having a great time with one another the whole time, they were in great spirits, ignoring customers, I had to ask for everything that should have been supplied at the table. I understand they just reopened so Im hoping they see this and make some improvements, because our dining experience was horrible.

Im sad to see this location is temporarily closed - The atmosphere takes you to a little bistro in Italy and staff was always courteous and friendly. They dont have a GF menu, so plan ahead if you are Gluten intolerant or dairy free. Given its a Italian restaurant, not going to be many GF options.

Couldnt recommend a particular thing on the menu because no matter what you get, chances are you will enjoy it. The outside seating is nice and well maintained. Indoors never feels stuffy even when full. A go-to for me.

Charming Italian restaurant at the Mission Inn. I had a chopped salad and it was very good and was about $12. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Parking was a little challenging. I parked on a nearby street with metered parking. Bring coins for the meter. One of our party accidently left their card, and an employee searched outside for 10 minutes till she found us and returned the card. Now thats service!

Issues with the machine so couldn t get the sprite, didn t really even apologize and my daughter then had to wait another 10 minutes to get her water refilled. The sprite was on the bill at the end. That is just one example of the bad service. Also, the food was just ok, we re from Minnesota so have great Italian so not sure if that was the problem. The hotel itself was beautiful just wish we would have eaten at one of the nearby restaurants- definitely wasn t the dining experience out we were hoping for spending $250!!

Bella Trattoria is one of the better italian places in Riverside. It gives off the high end vibe, but it has home style prices. The menu is not large, and everything they do, they do well. Located at one of the side entrances to the Mission inn, this is a perfect date type place. It has wonderful ambiance. The service is always great too. There isnt really much more to say.... I went today to try them out. I got chicken marsala and it was interesting. The server came out with the plate and I was intrigued why the whole plate was covered in brown sauce. I asked the server for the ingredients of the sauce. She said it had the wine but not the cream which is why it looked so dark. Im used to having heavy cream in my marsala sauce. To be honest it tasted like brown gravy. And the gravy was all over my plate including the veggies. My guest had spaghetti carbonara. It was cold and gross. It looked like Campbell chicken noodle soup. It was tasteless. The noodles were overcooked. It was gross. The only good thing was the wine, calamari, and pizza. I will not recommend this place. Ive been to Italy and know what Italian food is all about. Plus I have had some great Italian food here in California. But this place is not authentic Italian. Very disappointed.
