Living here in DT Riverside and I had never tried this place. I always thought it was a nice chill place. Im glad finally got to try it. The food was delicious! Very tasty. The customer service was excellent . We had the Cesar Salad and pasta very delicioso! Will be coming back soon. Family and I truly enjoyed this place. The restrooms were very clean !

This place is incredible. The food is prepared with so much love and care, and the experience is luxurious. Happened to stop in during the Festival of Lights (beware, this time of the year is a nightmare to find parking and to get into restaurants) and this place had an opening. We were 3 adults and 2 kids, and they were able to accomodate us (totally unexpected) after wed been rejected from a spot across the street. The food we ordered (and totally forgot to take photos of) was absolutely incredible. We had a simple Margherita pizza (for my kids), the pumpkin soup appetizer, the tuna tartare appetizer, Linguini Checca, and a beef special (I forgot the name). Between the complimentary bread (grilled and olive-oiled to perfection) and beautifully presented dishes we were thoroughly pleased with our food. The only downside is that its a very formal restaurant, and not great for wiggly/tired young kids. There were other kids at the restaurant this particular evening and handled themselves well - but be aware that this place is quite formal. Parking: It can be INCREDIBLY difficult to find parking - just be aware and come early for your reservation.

I went for a business dinner the food was decent ... the waiter terrible. We were told a better customer wanted our table so we should hurry up. It was less than 2 hours in on a weekday...Outrageous. The manager did come and apologize... Ive attended business dinners at finer restaurants with much higher tabs. Be careful here.

For the price, go somewhere else. The food wasnt worth the price. We had 3 meals and 1 appetizer, and a bottle of wine. Over $300.00. It was spaghetti with meat sauce. Another was a glutton free dish. Not that great. The wild mushroom ravioli with cream sauce was at least 10 minutes after the first 2 got there. It wasnt great either. I dont mind paying good money for good food, but paying good money for mediocre food??? Not going back. The wine was pretty good though.

Had my birthday dinner on December 24th, 2023, here and couldnt have picked a better place! The food, the ambiance, the service. Of course, having my sweet family with me was tops! We enjoyed the calamari fritti, the Buffalo mozzarelle with prosciutto, risotto w/prawns, beef tenderloin, linguini checca, wonderful cocktails, and topped it off with a decadent tiramisu! Oh, and a jolly visit from Santa! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian but not vegan unless you just have a salad. Parking: Located in the heart of downtown Riverside across from the busy Mission Inn so you will more than likely always have to pay for parking around the streets or in a lot. Or walk blocks in from the neighborhoods if you really cant afford the parking? Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious and open, very wheelchair friendly.

We had dinner here tonight at 5:15 and so grateful they had a table for 2 available because reservations were filled until 8:30. We had sashimi appetizer, the fettuccine special, margarita pizza and an amazing dessert trio/sampler. Everything was fresh & full of delicious flavors. Our server, Emma, was friendly, cheerful & very attentive. Thank you Emma! We live +200 miles away and most definitely will return to this restaurant on our next trip back to Riverside.

Wish I could have put 0 stars. I cant tell you anything about the food. We never ate. We were there for the mission inn lights festival. Stopped in and the man at the front desk flat out shook his head and said no. That wasnt the problem. He then just stared at us. So I asked if there was a waiting list he looked annoyed/bothered and said not unless you want to wait 2 hours its first come first serve. Which I thought was odd to say. Obviously its first come first served. Then he says you can try the bar if ya can find anything in there. He wasnt even gonna offer us the waitlist. Also i see they do take out and he didnt offer that either. We did see some spots in the bar but after that reception we decided to leave. Awful way to greet people.

I think this is the best restaurant around here if you are bringing friends or guests. Of course they serve Italian food, but their steaks are also of a very high standard. Tourists from Asia may find the seasoning a little too strong.

Do yourself a favor and spend your evening somewhere else. If you want just wine, you are safe, but if you want to eat - a big NO. This place used to be good. Now food is just horrible. Ravioli was undercooked or defrosted poorly, cream sauce was watery, tasteless white liquid, soggy salad felt like it was made a day before and so on. Service was good, nice people, but their uniforms where so dirty that it made us question overall sanitation of the place. Very sad. We where looking forward to it. Never coming back.

The place is nice and fancy. Front door greeter was nice. Bread was good. Waiter sucked, rude sarcastic guy. Offered to slpit my Ceasar salad cause i said that i was sharing.. charged me a spilt fee I ordered the $50 tenderloin, did not like it at all. Sauce was underwhelming and steak was tough no seasoned well at all. Wish i would have gotten a pizza. Also ordered a moscato.. they filled the glass below half way. Looks nice but will never return.

Marios Place has got a wonderful atmosphere I ordered the salmon fish it was way undercooked if it wasnt for our waitress taking leadership stepping into the management position we would have left immediately but because of her grace and understanding and apology we stayed The manager had no idea what was going on he was on his phone texting in his own world the whole time we had dinner 90 minutes the help had nothing good to say about him His leadership skills can cause those workers to feel discouraged and uninterested in their jobs Adrian Robert

As always Mario s surpasses the mark of excellence. Consistent with original recipes and great quality. Our dinner was romantic, tasteful and full of conversation. Can t recommend enough for people who want to escape to Italy without the flight.

Really appreciated the server and suggestions we received as it was our first time here. Food was very good, everyone in our party was happy with their selections and dessert was over the top delicious. Price was high but not unreasonable - it matched the quality of the food, atmosphere, and service - but for us it would have to be a special occasion.

The service is very slow. The restaurant was not busy at all, but we waited for a long time for the server to take the menu, and we waited for even longer for the server to take the bill. The food is overall fine but the risotto I ordered was very salty that I didn t finish even half of it. The server came and I let him know the risotto was not good, and he said he took the complaint and would deal with it, but then he took my dish, walked away and never shown up again. I wouldn t recommend anyone to come to this restaurant. And the ac is very strong, making everyone at my table frozen.

My daughter and I dined at Mario s for the first time last night while visiting from Mississippi. I m sooo happy my brother, Clifford Breland and brother-in-law, Ronald Nelson, introduced us to this place as well as to the owner! I thought southern hospitality was something to brag about, but this was by far, the best food, service and atmosphere I ve ever experienced! We will definitely be back!

Walked by and decided to go in. The service was excellent and the staff is very attentive. The food was excellent. Sorry, by the time I realized that I hadnt taken any pictures, the food was gone. I did remember to snap a pic of the cheesecake with blueberry compote. It was excellent. The cheesecake is so creamy that it tastes almost like its made of whipped cream. We came on a Saturday night and there was a live band that started to play at 9. Very good band and everyone enjoyed it. Very nice date night spot, I recommend it.

This restaurant needs some improvement to start with employees, some classes of customer service , and a smile .I tried the filet, and it was bad, and there was no presentation . The flavor was null, I asked the server for different sauces, and he answered this: This: What we have and go smoke a cigarette. I never go back to this restaurant .

We have gone here over the years and always had a good meal. We were seated in a fairly small room that they called the elevator room it only had 5 tables to serve people. We called same day so I m guessing the better areas were taken. We ordered the one dish of everything to split. The entree was Beef Tenderloin which was very good. We also ordered a side Caesar Salad and the Mushroom Ravioli dish. The food was very good. The Mission Inn is across the street. Some tables inside and out have a view of it. Parking: There is a parking lot that you normally get a ticket and pay. We went June 17th at 6:00 pm and said to get a ticket from the booth at the exit. There was no one there, maybe it s for weekdays?

There were 7 of us at what was supposed to be a very special dinner after my son just received his PhD at UCR. The server was rude from the moment we arrived. Weve lived and traveled all over the world and were hopeful for a lovely celebratory dinner at this highly rated restaurant. Some of the group enjoyed their salads but that was the end of it. Not one person at the table enjoyed their main course. There were 3 people who ordered pizzas. I reached over and tasted my daughters because she wasnt eating it. All you could taste was the burned bottom of the pizza. Not any other flavor came through except burnt. All of the pizzas were burned. Between the service and the food, we were very disappointed by our special meal. Would NOT recommend this place.

We had a great time celebrating my husbands birthday. The waiter was exceptionally accommodating and made our experience memorable. The food was delicious. The sashimi appetizer was fresh and perfectly prepared, the Classic Cessar was truly that..Classic. The cauliflower and fennel pizza was beyond. Leone proves again his outstanding selections in fresh ingredients and his dedications to his cuisine. The jazz band were great and entertaining. We are very fortunate to have a restaurant of this caliber in our town. Truly a gem! Thank you again and well be back!

Literally the best meal I have EVER had! The crab appetizer was excellent and the Ceaser salad was definitely the best I have ever eaten. The spaghetti dish was very good but I could only eat 2 or 3 bites! They are holding it for me so we can pick it up after the show were at!! The staff and their service were fantastic!!

Went here for a friends birthday party. The waiter was extremely unattentive and they add the tip in to your total bill. I disnt think he deserved any tip, but the rest of the staff deserved the tips because they worked extra hard to cover for our waiter. The food was great but I dont want to spend a lot of money to be treated so badly by the waiter.

We drove to riverside from Vegas because we had their food before. We were seated and were given the menus and asked for help on understanding the courses and also what was good. Waiter did not explain menu and didnt make but Two recommendations. We left at this point. Poor service and menus have no effort. Website also doesnt show any pictures of food. Not one.

Very enjoyable tasty last minute early dinner. Alan the manager runs a great team, Justin our waiter did a fantastic service. Started with Nolets martinis and craft beer. Pizza with clams was starter, nice crisp Caeser salad. Bucatini pasta, wonderful NY steak special with potatoes and green beans. We recommend and will return.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but this is truly warranted. Its my wifes birthday and we had reservations for 3 at 6:00 p.m. and arrived 5 min. early. I told the hostess that it would only be the two of us. We were seated immediately and our server asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered wine and asked a couple of questions. He was slightly sarcastic in answering and left. In the meantime, others seated after us were served bread and even ordered and were served. Our server didnt return for another 30 minutes. When he did return, I asked for the check and told him why we were leaving. He apologized and said he thought we were waiting for others. I said I told the hostess it would only be the two of us. He didnt bother to check on us for over 30 minutes. I paid for our wine tab and we walked across the street to the Mission Inn (Duanes) where weve dined repeatedly with exceptional food and service. Sorry Marios, never again.

Went there for a friends birthday party, the atmosphere was really nice but the food was not. For our appetizer we had the braised octopus, it was heavily seasoned as if someone poured seasoning on top when they plated it. For dinner my husband ordered the spaghetti and I had the chicken with a side of roasted potatoes. The spicy chicken had no flavor at all, it was tender yet flavorless. The sauce that it was covered in tasted like spicy water. I was so disappointed, the same with the potatoes. The potatoes were tough and undercooked. My husband didn t finish his spaghetti due to the poor taste. We were so shocked of the quality of food considering the price we spent on everything. Our entire party unfortunately had similar sentiments.
