My favorite hot pot place in SF! Wide variety of offerings for an AYCE place. They offer 10+ soup base flavors (try the tomato!), an abundance of hot pot ingredients, and even small appetizers/desserts. The sauce bar is generous too, and their house sauce is delicious (albeit unconventional). Will definitely be coming back! Service is fairly minimal, but I dont go to hot pot places for the service. This place is well priced, and the ingredients are fresh, abundant, and delicious.

all you can eat - if they bring it! Some dishes we ordered never arrived, with no explanation given. all you can eat - but not self-serve. Tongs and napkins are not made available. We had to specially request them. all you can eat - if you dont need good sauces. This place needs to raise its sauce game. House sauce is meh

Came here for a friends birthday party a few weeks ago and this place has already become a favorite AYCE hotpot of mine just after 1 visit. Ive already been talking about this restaurant to friends and co-workers. Easy to order food using their app and the service is quick. They have self-service for veggies and sauce of course. But what surprised me the most was the self-service for DRINKS as well. Havent seen this at any other hot pot place Ive been to so this was a very exciting time for me. They have a fridge next to the sauce bar that is stocked with free drinks like fruit tea and Thai tea, a big selling point for me. Their self-service bar has a good selection of veggies and side dishes and also a little bit of dessert as well. They had churros that were filled with a chocolate sauce (?) that were crispy and just the right amount of hot to make you feel safe. They also had a coconut milk sago at the self-service bar which was a favorite of mine and reminds me of dessert nights at a Hong Kong cafe.

Were eating hot pot for the first time. Was very tasty. Everything was explained to us very well. The waitresses were super nice. The standard ingredients such as pasta, vegetables, shrimp, etc. were included in the flat. You had to pay extra for dumplings and meat. - the prices are still totally reasonable. The wagyu was excellent! Can really recommend it Vegetarian options: Many hot pot ingredients are vegetarian. Parking: Restaurant is in residential area. There are many streets for parking. However, it is a matter of luck to find a parking space, as of course the locals park there.

I love this place! I thought it was just an AYCE hotpot, but it is honestly like a buffet! They had so many great little appetizers like sesame balls, egg rolls, dumplings, and a curry tofu thing. There s also free drinks (i.e. included in the AYCE $35 price you pay) in the fridge next to the appetizers section and we got some Thai tea and it was great (very sweet!)! They also have brownies for desert next to the hotpot ingredients section. AND you can order more things on from the QR code on the table! So at the end of our meal we also got some sweet fried dough. It was such a good way to end the meal. As for the hot pot options they have many different soup bases to choose from. They have hot pot ingredients on the counter by the back of the restaurant, but if you don t see what you want you can also order on the menu from the QR code on the table. I was surprised to find they offered potato starch noodles here. I love how chewy those noodles are, but I don t always find them at hot pot restaurants so I was so happy to see them here! The service was good. I don t feel like we waited too long for our soup bases or meats. They also made sure to refill our soup pot when it was getting low. If you pay by cash it is slightly cheaper (get 10% off), but unfortunately none of us had cash on hand. Make sure you only take what you can eat; if you waste food you will get a $30 charge. And there is $5 charge if your party is 4 or less and you use a second pot. The inside of the restaurant is new and clean. The aesthetic is a mix of modern with warm wood accents. Parking: We managed to find street parking nearby after going around a few blocks Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian soup bases and in general hotpot is vegetarian friendly since you can add vegetables, tofu, and noodles Parking: We street parked nearby

Had dinner here on a Tues night so it was relatively quiet. 3 of us shared split soup and the very nice server explained the process and the costs to us. We paced ourselves and ordered the meats a few at a time to not waste as they came out in minutes. There is lots to choose from in the veggie/dumpling/seafood bar and the juice teas were tasty. The meat and seafood were very fresh and everything in the restaurant was very clean. I forgot to get the servers name but he was very friendly, patient and helpful. I would definitely come back. AYCE price is the usual - it is what is expected.

Excellent service and amazing food! We arrived at 9:30 pm for dinner (closing at 10pm) and the owners were extremely welcoming to us both. Sat us down right away, gave us an intro to ordering (first time hot pot and first time at this restaurant). They never rushed us, taught us how to properly cook and eat hot pot when we asked how to do it (answer: there s no wrong way to cook your own hot pot!). On top of all that, the food was delicious! Highly recommend to all!

This was our first time having Hot Pot. We had no idea what to do and asked the waitress. She very quickly explained that we need to order online by scanning the qr code. No problem. But the online menu isnt very clear. Theres signs stating theres a $30 charge for waste but it doesnt state on the menu how many pieces come with each plate. We called her back over to ask and were told 3 to 4 pieces. We ordered, grabbed our veggies and the meat plates arrived with 6 pieces on each. We under ordered thankfully. Food was delicious but as first timers, it wasnt a pleasant experience. They were severely understaffed and we just didnt feel welcomed. Also, there was a hand written 20% service charge added to our bill. We asked what that was for and they said it was their tip. Im sure they were hoping wed tip an additional 20% since they didnt label it as such.

Really enjoyed their special house sauce. They sauce bar had some super good choices. The soup broths were so delicious. Really clean bathroom. Just an overall top notch hot pot place!

Great food, very knowledgeable and friendly servers. I was really impressed by the vegetarian and vegan options here as well as fro server s knowledge of ingredients. I really enjoyed the tomato pumpkin potato soup broth but I m sure the others are great too. Save some room for desert too because the brownie cubes are delicious!

Best: Broth and food was incredible Worst: Price for the ambiance/customer service -- The meal ended up being much more expensive than what it was worth to me. The price was what I would expect for a nice sit-down, but the ambiance was much more like a self-serve bar: loud, with tvs and the occasional sounds of karoake from the next room. Servers were nice, but treated the experience like it was entirely self-serve. They assumed we knew what hot-pot was (we didnt) and were very unhelpful/impatient with helping us and replacing items in the bar as they ran out. I would go back for the food if it were cheaper, but as-is I wouldnt suggest.

Ive been to many shabu shabu restaurants in San Fran, but this place, JMT, is number one. Koreans must visit this place. One drawback is that there is no separate parking space, so you have to park on the street. Service, hygiene, and bathroom are all good. Especially when you go to a Chinese restaurant, they always have a bathroom, but this place is so clean. Anyway, if you like shabu shabu, I highly recommend this place, and if you pay with cash, you get 10% off.

It was a staggering 45 dollars per person for the most tiring and frustrating meal where the staff provided no help. The taste was subpar, no suggestions on what to put. It was inconvenient to eat because handling the toppings was messy. The broth tasted as thought someone asked which spices would you like and they just said yes. This place is a bit different than the other AYCE hotpot/shabu shabu restaurants, you have to use your Android/iPhone to scan a QR code, you will than be taken to an online ordering system (with menu items and a shopping cart). Once you send your order in, within minutes, the kitchen with bring your order out, the pot with the soup is rather large and it is recessed into the tabletop. Different flavored prepared drinks are filled into bunch one liter bottles and placed in the fridge for you to take, (which are included in the price... I think you have to pay for soft drinks and of course alcohols) vegies and many other food ítems are placed on cold tables for you to get at anytime. Also, plenty varieties of sauces/herbs/minced garlic for you to mix and experiment with! PS try lunch for almost half the price of dinner, but dinner with friends are more fun! ;)

We had the all-you-can-eat Hotpot dinner. The were variations of meats (beef, lamb, and pork), seafoods, and vegetables to choose from. We had the Miso Soup and the Chicken Pho Soup. They were both extremely salty--to a point where I couldnt really taste the meats. Given this, the somewhat limited selection, and the $50 (after tax & tip) per person tab, makes it a maybe, rather than a recommend for me. The restaurant was very clean. The service was good--friendly staff.

Wife and I went for the first time. Great experience for AYCE (all you can eat) hot pot / buffet. Highly recommend trying it out. Our only complaint is that the soup was WAY too salty to drink. (Though its fine if youre just using it to cook, though still on the salty side). They told us its because this place caters to a lot of drinkers who prefer salty foods, so they do consciously make the soup on the salty side. We didnt know that we could tell them to make it less salty in the beginning. Otherwise, all the food and beverages were excellent. The place was very clean. Stylish. Decent service. Be sure to order the dessert crispy mantou condensed milk -- so simple but amazing. Also, be careful not to eat too much. It can give the slight feeling that youve had food poisoning (even though its not!), and especially tends to happen if you combine many kinds of food in your stomach at once. Just like any buffet. This is not the restaurants fault, obviously, and in the case of a buffet like this, its a testament to how delicious the food is. Moderate yourself!

Hadnt been here since 2018, and decided to try out out again tonight as we start going back out. Came around 6:30 on a Sunday and there were only 2-3 other groups there. Got busier as the evening went on. I do not recall how the buffet area was precovid, but basically everything except raw meat and dumplings are set up in the buffet. Im still a bit weary, but I suppose all germs will cook off in the broth The broths were delicious, we got the tonkatsu and the spicy miso which was like a 4/10 on spicy scale. Note they charge $5 for two broths vs just one. But worth it to try more! The meat was great and not too fatty (Im overly picky & hate when theres tons of fat on the sides, my husband doesnt care). The wagyu was very tender, and pork was good. Everything is ACYE, for around $37.99 per person. They have lots of different noodles at the buffet (right side in pic), and all kinds of fish (shrimp, mussels, squid, octopus, tofu, baby corn, bamboo) and everything else youd find on a hot pot menu. Left side is sauce ingredients, veggies that were very fresh, mushrooms, some brownies for dessert and far left was some fried items (egg rolls, potstickers, yao tiu). Lots of different aloe juices in the fridge in left, mango, prune etc. all included. Soda & alcohol are not included. They give little ice cream bowls at the end, vanilla or green tea. Pro tip: put brownie chunks in the ice cream! Overall, it felt like everything was very clean. Each table has hand San and wipes to use after being at the buffet. Id like to see a hand San at the buffet asking guests to use before touching tongs, but happy to see its at the tables for each guests discretion. Will definitely be back again! Staff is also super friendly and I got to practice my Cantonese!

Its been over a year since Ive went to The Pots due to COVID. I was very happy to see that they were able to survive the craziness that was 2020. Mom and pop shops are hard to survive, but in The City, its definitely magnified due to the high cost of rent. I used to go to The Pots when I lived in SF, but now Im in the south bay -I dont get that much of a luxury to. I went again today with my family(first timers ) for lunch and the quality and service is still the same as I remembered. Everything was very clean on the inside and every table gets their own basket of hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes (first time seeing this at a restaurant and I applaud them for it). This spot is still my favorite hot pot place in the Bay. Fire Mala Spicy is a muuust here. I got a split soup setup for my party (additional $5) the other soup base being pork bone. They have a smaller menu for lunch broth wise (still got like 5 choices) and meat (got a lot of choices still!), but hey for like $20 bucks a person at an AYCE place in The City, you cannot complain. Dont get me wrong, you still get your Wagyu beef, your pork belly, pork, lamb. Again -$20 bucks. Sauce bar is self serve and all the sauces are in small individual containers for quick grab and go. They also have dessert choices are freshly fried for you: sesame balls and buns with condensed milk (I can eat their sesame balls for days). Ha. Overall you cannot go wrong with The Pots. They still need as much support as they can! If youre in the area for lunch or dinner, have The Pots on your radar for sure. They also have A La Carte if you still arent comfortable going indoor dining. Thumbs up for service and food!

The BEST HOT POT spot in town!! There are other good ones like Boiling Pot and Mumu but this place is a winner with their unlimited all you can eat and drink includes alcoholic beverages. Its pricier than other places but worth every dollar because their ingredients are fresh and their service is top notch! Weve been to this place several times now and they never failed to deliver. The owner seems very nice and attentive along with all the staff. What I like here and only seen a few restaurants do this is all the staff wait on all the tables together. Team work makes the dream work. Theyre very efficient and everyone is nice. We always get the Tonkotsu soup based, Wagyu beef, beef brisket, vegetables, tofu and always their fresh fish fillets. I dont recommend getting the red wine beef because it ruins the entire broth. Overall, great place and definitely will be a regular if we continue to stay in the Bay Area.

The owner has done very good job with soups- during pandemic time its great! Broth is most essential part of any Asian cuisine- I love it. Will wait for all you can eat to come back!

This place deserves your business. Excellent food DURING the pandemic for takeout which sounds odd given they are hotpot, but trust me, they have pivoted. The dumpling noodle soup was fantastic and perfect for a cold sunset night. Devilicious chicken and pork belly kabobs hit the spot. On top of it all, the people who run the place are the nicest, sweetest people youll ever meet who care about the neighborhood and the people they service. I cant thank them enough for being open!

Always looking for a good hot pot restaurant, and this place definitely didnt disappoint!! One of the best Ive been to, alot of sauce choices, food was incredibly fresh, meat and vegetables were spot on!! Very reasonable price as well. Make sure to bring cash, no cards accepted. You will not be disappointed! Parking a bit of a challenge, depending on the time of day, but better than down town. Free parking.

Very delicious Chinese hotpot with varieties of meat, seafood, vegetables, drinks. I came during happy hour(3pm-5pm) only $20.99

That place is great! You first pick the soup you want (I got the fire spicy soup) and the protein (we got tofu, Kobe beef, some other magic Japanese cow, and lamb). Then you get some sauce (at least a dozen different kinds), green stuff, and sea food and miscellaneous items. Then you enjoy that good until youre about to blow up (all you can eat). If you need that extra little mint, theres also another small table with desserts, which were pretty yummy. I will definitely go back there.

The Chinese name of this restaurant refers to a specialty Cantonese hotpot, but this is more of a standard hotpot. But seriously, this place is GOOD. American Wagyu AYCE at 36, and their beef and wonton are delicious. No extra charge for soup base (3 dollars if you want 2), and they have cookies, cheese cakesn, xiaolongbao, coffee and Chinese baked goods on the side, all free to grab. Servers are also super polite. This is how you run a restaurant.

Best AYCE hot pot in the city, hands down! Pretty easy to get a table, love the self serve sauce bar, and amazing service!! It seems like very few AYCE places have friendly service in the city, which I find interesting considering its just the nature of an AYCE business. So even though its understandable that it can drive the waitstaff crazy, it still feels like youre being unfairly punished for taking advantage. Not the case here, as the service is always super friendly and efficient!

The soup is so salty. After sitting low, I had to wait for the soup! Beef and sheep are ok. So two stars! The soup needs to be improved. Its quite poor. Lychee green tea? Its super sweet. You can drink it with water
