Here s a shorter version: Great Experience at Delarosa Italian Restaurant Stop by this place for a quick meal and was very impressed with the food and service. The mixed baby green salad with bacon, pears, and tomatoes was fresh and flavorful. The Cioppino soup, loaded with shrimp, mussels, clams, and calamari, was a standout light and refreshing with perfectly cooked seafood.

Food isn t what it s hyped up to be. Originally ordered a panini minus the spread but was told they couldn t not not put the spread okayyyy . So instead ordered a mediocre pizza. In the end of it all, I was charged extra for something random which resulted in them doing multiple transactions on my card. Wouldn t recommend.

We were a large group made of up a soccer team and their parents on 07.27.24. We all sat at different tables and created chaos for the wait staff. The manager and the wait staff handled this challenge with grace. All the kids received their food and the parents received their food also. I was so appreciative of all involved to make it work. I apologized to the manager for creating a difficult situation for her staff. She was gracious and accommodating. Thank you!

Stopped on for a Pizza and salad. My husband ordered an ordinary tap beer - $9.00. I had an ordinary chardonnay which on the menu was $14.00 but was charged $16.00. (Did not catch it til after my husband paid). Ordered the sausage and fennel pizza. Asked for it to be extra crispy. The pizza crust was soggy and the cheese barely melted. My arugula salad with added chicken was decent. There was a $4.00 service charge which should be incorporated into the food prices. After the tip this was a very disappointing $90.00 meal.

Checked in as needed, not too much or not enough. Knew the menu well. Answered all questions. Advised which beers were currently available. Definitely an asset to the restaurant. Will definitely be returning to try different pizza. Thank you!

I added vegetarian sausage to my dish but probably won t do the same next time and will ask for light on olives. Other than that, the flavor is good and the noodle itself is really good. Family of four, ready to dine in. Stopped at the entrance Wait to be seated sign. Waited for 5 min. BTW the restaurant was empty. 2 tables out of 25+. No body approached us. The person ahead of us got tired of waiting and left. Finally one of the hostesses comes to the door and so I thought maybe it was a change of shifts but to my surprise she came to the door and closed it in our faces. I asked her if the restaurant was closed and she mumbled that NO. I tried to ask her if she could seat us and she refused. Awful service. Never again.

MANAGER IS VERY RUDE! Go somewhere else I been there couple of times, food is always great, kitchen look working hard. Terrible service. Specially the Manager. When I arrived to the restaurant was not body to check in to sit so I just kept going to look for stroller parking. My friend and baby was waiting on the front for someone to sit us and he start making comments about me Patient is a virtue that not all people have I want it to leave but my friend was starving and pregnant so I just decided to let it go. After we sit. Before even ask about water or anything for service he was pushing my friend to take the stroller outside but our kids are very little. This person have not understanding Server came, was good with us. Later the same guy drop off food that was not my friend order. But right after was an older caucasian couple next to us, and he was so nice to them, ask about their day make a joke. So I try not to take it personal but I keep seeing how different services I got as a young latina mother in comparison to other costumers. My friend approach the guy about the order being wrong and he roll the eyes and said, wait in your table until the server help you. I mention to the server this and how uncomfortable was and I suggest some retraining and she answer me saying that he was the manager. It doesn t matter! Food is great! So is in other places. Too bad that the manager ruin the whole experience. He should be making sure that doesn t happen.

We waited almost about ten to fifteen minutes per plate to come out over an hours time And then we ask for napkins we got 3 paper towels.!! unbelievable Overall service was terrible, waiter never checked in, and when he did it was a rush then ask for a bag, no one could grab one, and then when it was time to check out asked how everyone was doing just because I felt he was engaged to get his tip. keep mind the bill was over $190. por service greatfood

I dont mind paying for overpriced, mediocre tasting pizza but the one thing I cannot stand is bad customer service. At about 7pm on August 23, 2023, I ordered takeout: one fennel sausage pizza and a beet salad. The hostess was very curt and did not seem to want to engage in conversation with me. Whatever, maybe she was having a bad day? In any case, I proceeded to tip her 18% as a professional courtesy (I used to work in the service industry, too). As soon as the hostess completed my order, I asked her if I could have a glass of water to drink because I had just finished working out at the Equinox gym in the shopping plaza. The hostess straight up denied my request and told me, we dont give water to take out orders. I asked her why and told her that was strange. She responded matter-of-factly that, its the policy, and I dont make up the rules. I told her that was a strange policy and asked why. She didnt have a response and was very avoidant; she didnt attempt to even talk to me or provide any form of decent service after I had just tipped her. The hostess told me that my order would take 10-15 minutes. I stood there shocked. I wondered had I said something to offend her? Why would a restaurant refuse water to a customer that just paid for food? Did she not like me? Was it because I was covered in tattoos and looked out of place in techy San Ramon? Who knows, but I sincerely hope this was not an act of discrimination. In any case, I got mad. I went back inside to sit down next to the hostess to wait for my takeout. I knew she was uncomfortable because she probably thought I was a crazy person. Did she think I wanted to take home the restaurants water glass or something? Who the hell would want to take home a glass of water? What was so wrong about a thirsty customer asking for a glass of water? I knew the hostess was talking about me because she walked to the back of the restaurant and it looked like she was gossiping about me with another server. Completely unprofessional and juvenile. The hostess gave me my food. I sat there feeling foolish for a few minutes wondering if I should bring the issue up to the manager. I did. I caught the manager outside and told him about the situation. I told him that the hostess had embarrassed me and asked if it was the restaurants policy to deny takeout orders water to drink. The manager automatically chalked the situation up to miscommunication. He said he thought I was asking to take home a glass of water. What? Who the hell would want to take home a glass of water from a restaurant? What reasonable person would misunderstand a customer asking for a glass of water to mean that the customer wanted to take home a glass of water? The manager, however, was apologetic, which he should have been from the outset. He told me that he would speak to the hostess. However, I dont think anything has happened. The point is this: Your restaurant made me feel less than human. You denied my simple request to drink water. I paid you more money than you deserve and yet you could not provide a basic request. I submitted a complaint on your website and through your Instagram account, and you have not replied more than 15 hours later. Your customer service sucks. Your hostess is an entitled juvenile and I will let people know about this. The amount of disrespect is unreal.

First time trying this place out despite walking past it a million times. Our server was excellent and very attentive to our table. Although it was a slow day I still appreciate her service. We had two appetizers: the mussels in a tomato broth, and calamari frutti. The mussels were on the small side but the broth was very flavorful and I really liked the added Italian sausage in the broth. I wish they gave us more than two small slices of bread for dipping. The calamari was cooked really well and the breading was light and flaky however overall the dish was really bland. It needed salt in both the breading and the calamari itself. We followed up with two pizzas: the prosciutto and funghi. The funghi pizza we got as gluten free crust and with vegan cheese. It was delicious. The prosciutto pizza we left as-is and it was also delicious. I dont normally like finishing the pizza crust but their crust was really light and airy. I didnt feel like I was overwhelmed with bread. Overall I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I definitely recommend the pizza here. Next time I may try a pasta dish.

The healthy Beet Salad has roasted Red & Gold Beets, Faro, Kale, Avocado, Goat Cheese, Toasted Almonds, and Balsamic Vinaigrette. The Hot Salami Pizza has Marinara Sauce, Provolone Cheese, Spicy Coppy, and Dry Chorizo, with Diavaliccio drizzle. An upscale take on Pepperoni Pizza that will certainly become your favorite. This place has turned into a tradition for my friends and I after a long day of meetings. We easily spend over 300 bucks every time and stay for hours. Last night we got in when restaurant was empty (as it usually is when we get there water in the afternoon) 3 rounds of drinks, apps, dinners, dessert done, we pay. Maybe 45 min after, at this point it s after 6, and one of the workers comes up to ask and ask if we needed anything. We said no, and he then said we could use the table . We quickly got up and left (with no one waiting for a table) and sat outside in the cold for another 20 min or so finishing our conversation before leaving for the evening. I am not one to write reviews, but this one really left a salty taste in my mouth as we love the food, the bartenders etc prices are not cheap yet we go every month as we really enjoy it there. Come next month, we are rethinking that.

I would just come back, because one of my favorite Italian restaurants had closed, because they couldnt survive the pandemic and I could no longer get my favorite dish..., so now I would just come back to Delarosa for their penne portobello dish. Its the closest dish to my favorite dish from my former favorite Italian restaurant.

A 100% match for families w/ kids! Tasty past. Pizza. There fruto-di-mare is fine. Great and friendly service, keep social distancing. Kid-friendliness: Pasta with sauce, pizza.

Eddie was amazing! He took care of our entire table, and did it with such an amazing attitude. He made us laugh until we cried, and gave us drinks all along the way! Thank you so much for such an amazing experience.
