I been going to Pops for a long time ,90 s. Since the change of ownership not just the food quality declined but the customer service too. Tell me why the waiter/owner has her child there as she s running around serving coffee and taking orders. They moved away from real eggs, everything is bland. Thought I d give a them another chance but not going back. It used to be a great old school all-American cafe lacks that feel. Never again.

Spontaneous breakfast this morning with the family. We are visiting from Canada and were craving breakfast. So refreshingly inviting and friendly after a few days of Disney /hotel breakfasts. Kids had Mickey pancakes, husband had an omlette and I had 2 eggs meal. We both loved our meals and the boys were over the moon with mickey pancakes! May have to make a few stops before vacation is over!

POPS CAFE was amazing! We just moved to Santa Ana recently and I saw someone on Reddit recommend this as their favorite American breakfast place. Now, I can say that this is my new favorite breakfast place! The vibes are immaculate and the food is great. Prices cant be beat as well! I will definitely be coming back. We sat indoor and the diner vibe is perfect. Next time, I want to bring my dog and sit outside. It gets busy but the wait is not bad at all. Weve had a great experience. I loved everything we got! - Country Fried Steak - Eggs Benedict

Cant believe how horrible the experience here was, we arrived before 3-4 different tables and they all got their drinks and food before we even got our drinks. The server had 0 customer service, he totally just forgot a out us. Dont know how they could be so bad with the little section he had. Took almost 20 minutes to just get 1 coffee, 1 orange juice and a soda. I asked about our drinks and he said oh yeah Ill be right back well he ended up bringing multiple items to tge table behind us and still didnt bring the drinks.

First and last time here. Average Denver omelette, packaged English muffins were as expected and the Irish potatoes, lacked serious seasoning/flavor. Service is run by college/dropouts with poor customer service skills. That s not uncommon today and will never change, as the younger, self-entitled generation will never understand what earning a tip requires. Now it s drop off your plate, never come back to check on the order, not offer to refill your cup and order expect, a 20% tip. This experience will certainly keep me from eating at restaurants with table staff or only go to high end restaurants where incredible service is the standard. Anyways, at 10ish, this spot was 1/2 or 1/3 empty telling me people rather eat at Norms.

Honestly, I m surprised this place has recently good reviews didn t impress me at all! Actually, Yes, it did! In a negative very disappointedly way. Not regarding the service, it was awesome! Extremely friendly young girl was really nice and sweet and attentive, fast, really sweet really. But the place it self, I don t know they have two rooms : one of them was extremely tight! No room to walk through and, this being my first time here, I wasn t sure if I was supposed to order at the register or wait and hope for one of the servers to notice we had arrived and waiting to be served, since the place was packed! They have seating outside and inside but honestly, I don t find this place cozy at all; I don t know, I m used to different kind of cozy , to me it was more geto than cozy, it made me feel like one of those restaurants back at my third world country but with people speaking english instead, lol. Once again, service was ok (despite the fact that our server was eating and probably finishing her break) but it does not change the fact she was nice and sweet. I don t think I m coming back. But, give it a try, you might find something good that I did not get to see Parking: No parking free. But during weekend there parking in the street is free

I noticed that one of my icons is for breakfast burrito so I thought Id lean into it, especially since amazing breakfast burritos are found all over Southern California, where I frequently travel for work as a criminal defense lawyer. Anyway, I was at the state court in Santa Ana so i thought Id try Pops. Its an old timey diner set up with counter service and a few tables. They have all kinds of breakfast but I was here for the burrito, which I got with ham. This was a gringo style breakfast burrito, the best example of the genre is Ham n Scram in Westminster. It had the chopped up ham, hash browns, cheesish, eggs and a Pico de Gallo with Tapatio in a bottle. The ingredients were pretty obviously Sysco, which is fine. A little heavy on the hashbrowns, which were also a tad undercooked, but I devoured it and the five stars speaks for itself. Vegetarian options: Eggs! Dietary restrictions: Dairy, gluten Parking: Street parking Kid-friendliness: Sure. Wheelchair accessibility: Tables in front

This little gem serves the best food, no joke. I suggest the deep fried French toast or one of their delicious omelets but hands down the best menu item is the Irish potatoes. Employees are warm and inviting. Only negative things to say is that it is such a small establishment and is a bit cramped inside. Parking: Meter parking... Not overpriced, roughly around .75 cents for 45 minutes, not bad.

That sounds so awesome like French toast is fabulous to start with and when it helps start clogging your arteries for you thats the bomb I shouldnt say that, last time I said something about arteries clogging after a fast food meal I wound up in Cardiac Care with 100% blockage and five stents. I totally forgot to write a review for Pops Cafe. I used to go quite often several years ago. My favorite part is the chill, laid back ambiance of an old-style sidewalk cafe that does one thing very well: home-style breakfasts and lunches. Everything they bring to the table is tasty, in five years, never a bad dish or missed item. Busy hours means your meal will be a little slow in coming (sometimes 30-40 minutes). Tip: show up before or after the rushes and youll see wait times cut in half. Parking: Ample parking all around the area.

Man, the food is delicious, the service extraordinary, but it s not a to-go spot. If you re hunting for breaking from 7-10 maybe don t call this place because it ll take you a while to get an order placed. I literally sat on hold for 15 minutes- got hung up on. Called back, sat on hold another 5 minutes before I called it. Went into the store and there was no line just a lot of satisfied people dining in. This is not an a la cart kinda place. Expect a nice dine-in experience. 10/10 recommend dining it. 100/10 recommend never expecting to get a meal to go/ oldie pick up. SMH EDIT: this is an old shop, therefore old rules apply. Be respectful and be respected. Still 10/10 highly recommend you go here if you haven t. I think one of the gals said it was founded in the late 40s of the 1900 s. Great little breakfast and lunch place. It opens up early in the morning and closes at 1:30 in the afternoon. Very classical looking to1950s diner. Had a great pastrami and BLT sandwiches for lunch once. But the first time we went in for breakfast. I had the corned beef hash and my wife had sausage biscuit and gravy with eggs on the side. 2 stars for bad customer service. This place is good, food very delicious. Me and my bf come here every 2 weekends for breakfast after church. We order about the same thing. We saw the waitress who attended us very well last time we came, hoping it was going to be her again today. Unfortunately it wasn t her. Today we didn t quite received good customer service you usually expect from eating out. We got attended by a mexican waitress thinking okay she might be cool cause she my people. My bf went in to check out the place for seating and he asked her about the wait time. The same waitress who attended us gave him smirky attitude by telling him I don t know, they can tell you and pointed off to another employee, like she didn t care. I don t want to do nor say this, but idk if it was because my bf is black. Which I hope that s not the case. But after my bf came back to the to get me, he seemed upset. We were able to sit down by the register and had to almost wait about 20 or so minutes, to get noticed. Which we understand it s busy. That waitress after waiting for quite a while came and handed us the menu with 1 set of utensils. And she gave them to me, my bf didn t get one so I gave them to him and I had to ask for another pair . 10 minutes later she just puts them on the table and walks away, right when I was going to ask her that we are ready to order. We had to wait even more. Finally getting to us I asked her in Spanish, knowing she spoke Spanish to make her comfortable. I ordered a # 7 (siete) but I received #8 (ocho) like how does siete sound like ocho. So she messed up my whole order. But for my bf he asked the Irish potatoes. He received hash brown. So we both ate the food cause it was delicious still but we know not to mess with the people who cook the food. Lol. The whole time we were uncomfortable she made us feel uncomfortable. The guys who got their minutes before us, she attended them very well and she would check up on them but she ignored us the whole time and not to even check up on us. But the other waitress was able to help us out when we got the bill. She was really helpful and very nice and understanding.

Great food & awesome service. Great to see that even with all the changes to my hometown, Santa Ana, this spot has stood the test of time.

Such a cute little whole in the wall breakfast joint. Food was good, I ordered the corned beef hash with squaw bread (which was delicious!) and a side of churros (a little hard but overall good). We went early Saturday morning and was pleased to find metered parking nearby. They werent too busy around 9am so we were lucky and got seated right away. The server was very friendly and had our order out to us very quickly, like within 15 minutes! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would probably rate the food 3.5 stars and the service 4 stars.

Food was good, service was great. My waitress was very nice and helpful. The place is just a cool old classic diner and exactly what I was looking for. Probably going back tomorrow.
