My first time experience here was awful. We had 4 different servers throughout our dining. We never got biscuits even after asking specifically for them. My fathers coffee tasted burnt and came cold. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and it was awful. The lettuce was soggy and the dressing was basically just mushed parmesan. The only good thing was the fried chicken. No one came to check on us and ask how our meal was. Literally the worst service Ive ever experienced. Not to mention there were only maybe 5 other seated tables. Its not like they were busy, they are just lazy!

Post covid and the inflation in the economy. Many restaurants have decided to not only raise prices but to also steal from the customer portion size. You raise the prices and the portion sizes of your food are smaller. Not to mention for money reasons you cut back on your staff. So now your staff is doing twice the work or more and the customer who has to pay extra for less its also getting ripped off on the service side as well. Youve lost me as a long time customer your prices are too high your food portions are too low and your service is subpar only because you dont staff your restaurants

I was here last night with a party of 20 for a friend s birthday. Brandon was our waiter and he was amazing. He didn t get any of our orders wrong, he was very knowledgeable with the menu, he was very attentive to all of us and he was very polite. He had a great sense of humor too. The food was also so good. Great portion sizes for the price too! We will definitely be back. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options and vegan options. Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for kids and they have a happy hour menu that is great!

Hidden gem. Most dont know of this place and its their loss. It had been 5+ years since I last ate here and forgot how good it was. I have had several types of meals here and none disappointed. My go to is the brisket meal. Baby backs are also outstanding. Get the sweet tea to wash it all down... chefs kiss! Parking: Part of a popular mall. Can be tough to find parking at times.

It had been a couple of years since I last went, so I was really looking forward to their food...big disappointment. Just like everything else does with inflation, portion sizes went down as prices went up (portions are too big in the U.S. anyway, but the price needs to be commensurate with size). Even worse, the quality of the food seems to have gone down as well. The babyback ribs werent as tender as they used to be...the meat came off the bone easy enough, but the meat itself wasnt as tender. Maybe we got an old batch? And maybe I used to visit at a better time or they just used to be more busy, but used to be able to smell the meats smoking before you even walked in the door...barely smelled it even when we walked in and sat down. Alas, the appetizers were really good. Overall, it was meh. One good thing, we didnt have to wait for a table...last time we went, we had to wait around 45min to an hour. Perhaps a sign of the economic times, or maybe everyone else thinks the food is just meh as well?

Fantastic BBQ in my top 5 worldwide. The bbq pork ribs reminded me of the KFC ribs you used to be able to get in the 1980 s but with a deeper hickory smoke. The bbq beans were outstanding too. Service was nice and laid back definitely worth the 20%+ tip.

Dined at Lucilles Smokehouse Bar-B-Que on Aug 2, 2024, with an Ex-College and fellow Navy veteran. I had Babyback Ribs, Maccaroni and Cheese, Collard Greens, and Sliced Brisket with Regular Iced Tea. Biscuits were provided for the table. The portions were sufficient. The mac and cheese tasted well, but I felt it could have been better if it had more cheese. The Brisket was good but wasnt very lean. Way too much fat was attached. Collard Greens were very good, but they couldve been better if spicer. The ribs were good caramelized with Bar-B-Que sauce. Make sure you get plenty of napkins. The ribs will be sticky. The Biscuits are not shown in the pictures, but I had the impression that they were not fresh, therefore a little stale. Their flavor came across as a bit sweet and salt. Nice flavor except for what Ive already mentioned. As you can see, youll receive your regular drinks in Ball Mason jars. Staff was very friendly. It has the atmosphere of a very large sports bar. There are TVs all around, and there is patio seating available. The major issue we had with the waiter was that he mixed our bills up and charged my bill to my friends card and his to mine. The manager had to cancel and re-charge our cards. After I reviewed my credit card website a few days later, it looks as if Ive been slightly overcharged. Im in the process of disputing the charge. And by the way, this restaurant is VERY expensive.

Portions have gotten drastically smaller since pandemic. I thought I got a kids meal when I ordered the 2 item for $36. I think its just corporate policy to give less overall while charging a little more. I recall rib tips appetizer being a whole 1/2 lb serving and now its what fits on a thick slice of bread. I dont think well be back here given the better options out there for the $$$ youd pay.

Went for lunch with family. UPDATE: Watermelon is back! I ordered a 3 meat combo. The prices have gone up a lot. The price has gone up and portion sizes went down. Its a pretty drastic change from a year ago. The upside is the food is still good. I got pulled pork, jalapeno cheddar sausage and baby back ribs. The ribs are always good. The beef are great as well but theyre spendy. Pulled pork was ok, little bit fatty. The sausages were very salty. Normally theyre a good mix of the flavors youd expect so Im not sure what happened. At least they still had a crispy outside. Other members of the party shared beef and baby back ribs. The ribs are really hard to over order since they are still great reheated(not in a microwave!) This was not my worst experience with any of the many Lucilles Ive been to but it wasnt the best either. Could be I just wasnt feeling it today too. I definitely recommend giving them a shot. If youve had a bad experience try them again if youre prepared to pay. My meal with the 3 meats, 2 sides and an abita root beer was about $60. The shared meal with beef ribs was about $70. Parking: Parking isnt great on days when it isnt super busy. I usually head to the back of the lot closest to the main street. If you drive around the front of the lot it can take a bit. If youre on a motorcycle they do have designated parking in valet area which is great for me and other riders. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with a good variety of meals and drinks. Grilled cheese, macaroni, chicken nuggets, baby back ribs, french fries, chocolate milk, lemonade. They have kids ice cream as well for when they deserve a treat.

While the service was good, the food not quite. We always liked going to Lucilles, a favorite of ours but not so much anymore. The past 3 times the amount of food was less and usually lukewarm. Example, we recently went with family, party of six. Two meals came with mixed veges. Both lukewarm and one plate had mixture of veges the other had less and basically more of just one vege. Corn on the cob also lacked flavor and everyones meat was lukewarm and considerably less than past. We all decided we wont be going back. Very sad as like mentioned above, this was a favorite place to dine. Just not worth the price.

24 July 2024. I have never eaten at this location before. On Saturday, 20 July was my wifes first time and our last time. The Culver City location has better cooks. I wanted to buy my army veteran friend and my wife a meal there. We all had beef brisket. Mine and my army buddys was okay, nothing to brag about. My wife took two bites and she did Not eat any more. The young Caucasian White waitress was great, but she was Not the cook. Plus, no military discount. The beef brisket and side food items taste better at Famous Daves.

BBQ popped in my head as I was nearing the mall, Lucilles, I thought, should suffice. I got the down south combo, wasnt too hungry, so it was perfect, and a pretty good price. I shouldve taken a pic, but I was busy cooling down still, which I did and had a pretty good meal. I think it was a 1/3 rack of ribs, a southern style piece of chicken breast, pretty thin, but it was cooked too perfection ribs too. With baked beams and collard greens. The beans couldve been simmered a little longer, and I like the greens pretty good. Biscuits, of course, are so good with that butter. I like soda when I eat BBQ, and they serve you in a big mason jar, I love that. As far as my server, I almost wanted to tell her to stop bugging me already, lady, youve done enough!! JK, she was on top of her job. I saw her running around all happy everywhere. Dont recall her name rhough.

Warning!! Despite all of the decor and southern-state name-dropping, this is NOT Southern BBQ. Not even close. Disclosure: I am from the South. Alabama specifically. I was born and raised. Lived in Tennessee as well. I know what Southern style BBQ is supposed to taste like. And this isnt it. The service was good. Our server took care of us during the meal. And everything came out correct. Nothing stellar, but a good server. All of that being said, the food is mediocre at best. First, the entrees we ordered. We got the St. Louis Ribs, Alabama Chicken, and pulled pork sandwich. Ribs: Properly cooked ribs are supposed to fall off the bone. This happens when you cook them for 8+ hours. This allows the connective tissues to be dissolved and allows the fat to render into the meat, making it tender and moist and disconnected from the bone. Gravity should be able to pull the meat off the bone. These ribs were tough and hard to pull apart. Very chewy. I suspect these were cooked for an hour and put on the plate. You should not need a knife or shark teeth to eat ribs. Sandwich: This pulled pork sandwich was dry and flavorless the only thing I could taste was the sauce, which well get to in a bit, and the bun. Chicken: The chicken was the best part of this meal. It was tender and moist, but the Alabama sauce is way too sweet. Which brings me to the sauces. The regular BBQ sauce was way too sweet. I read the ingredients. It had 16gr of sugar for 2 tablespoons of sauce. Which would make it almost entirely sugar. And the sweetness tasted like it was from refined sugar instead of molasses like it should be. The hot BBQ was the same way. The Mississippi sauce was nothing but vinegar. If you want Southern BBQ, go elsewhere. I would not recommend this place.

Food is always good, I prefer it over other casual bar-b-que chains. Service is always fine, nothing over the top. The atmosphere is casual chain restaurant. Usually not busy for lunch during the week.

My wife and I decided to try Lucilles as this franchise doesnt exist where we live. The restaurant was clean and we were seated immediately. Our server was pleasant and gave us some recommendations. We ordered the cracked out deviled eggs, which were a little salty, which I like, but my wife wasnt a fan. My wife ordered the salmon and I ordered the gumbo. The salmon looked over cooked and dry. That couldve been a consequence of the sauce being on the side rather than the salmon being basted in it. Also, the sides that were brought out werent what she ordered, but they were eaten nonetheless. The sides were bland and not seasoned well. I also ordered the gumbo. With gumbo, youll either have a flavorful bowl or youll have the kind where the roux is bitter. Unfortunately, what I received was the latter. Its the chance you take, especially when ordering gumbo from a barbecue place (I know). The gumbo was bitter and the proteins that made up the gumbo were small and oftentimes unrecognizable (the shrimp were diced into small pieces. The sausage was almost non-existent). Id almost revisit the recipe entirely. Only reason wed go back is to actually try the barbecue. Seeing the huge smoker in the restaurant was pretty cool.

We decided to come here last minute, and are so glad we did..the portions are great. We had the beef ribs, which were so good.. their original bbq sauce is so yummy. Our waitress,Blair, was awesome. I recommend asking for her to be your server.. she was so attentive. She knows the menu and the made recommendations. The service was really fast and the food was piping hot.

YUmmm!! We came into Lucille s by accident. We had intended to go to another location but ended up here. It was amazing! Blaire was our server, she had a beautiful smile the entire night, she was attentive and offered efficient service. She made out night a pleasure and will definitely return because the BBQ was amazing and the service she provided was home felt. Oh the food portion was large and definitely delicious

The dining experience started well but quickly went downhill. Food was not the greatest...beans, and mac n cheese just didnt taste right. I ordered peach cobbler, which was more like cake with peaches. The waiter was nice but had several large parties. Suffice to say my table was ignored.

This was a delivered meal for mom s bday and it was the worst experience ever. The food was horrible. I had a couple beef ribs that were beyond bbq d. They were completely charred all the way through. Others weren t cooked low and slow as they claim. The potato salad wasn t what it used to be. It was as if the mayonnaise was mixed with bbq sauce. Totally inedible. The biscuits were tough and also not consistent of previous meals. The cornbread tasted good but was hard all the way through. The salmon was tiny, tough and hard to eat and the french fries were soggy. We chose to pick Lucile s because it has been nothing but great atmosphere and food. We have to order through delivery because of deep health issues. I understand some things won t be perfect, but EVERYTHING?? We were shocked with what we received because we eat here quite a lot! Anyway, needless to say that we will not eat from here again.

I love this place there is never a wait surprisingly. My go to is the backyard porch strawberry lemonade (contains alcohol) the size of the cup is great unlike other restaurants. Service is quick. I recommend the burnt ends and the hot links omg my favorite. Parking is hard to find close up because they are located at the mall however it s worth the walk.
