Coming from the Bay Area I was hoping JinCook would be better than your average Bay Area Korean food. True its not in Koreatown but many reviews highlighted how good it was so I was hopeful. In the end though it was good but not better. We ordered two dishes: Mushroom Tofu Stew Bibimbab Hot Stone First I was surprised the banchan came out with the dishes and not before which is typical of most Korean restaurants. It was also below average both in terms of selection and quantity. The Mushroom Tofu Stew and Bibimbab Hot Stone were good. This restaurant chose to use what appeared to be shiitake mushrooms instead of the lesser known mushrooms I prefer like enoki mushrooms. The Bibimbap Hot Stone looked good but it turned out to be a pretty layer on top of a lot of rice. We met another family who found the food to be good too though they did not like the Japchae. Service was casual but friendly. The decor was cute. I liked all the Korean signs showing the prices of Korean dishes in Korea and the posters explaining the histories of different Korean dishes. The cost was a bit higher than I expected. When we are in Santa Clarita again we might go back but I think we will drive a little further to find Korean food.

It tastes much better than the crappy restaurants in Korea. In particular, the pork soup has a savory taste unique to this place. The side dishes that come with it are also very delicious, and since they provide refills, you can eat enough. The staffs service is very good and friendly. Ive been to other branches, but the food here is much better. The interior is also very Korean.

We returned to Jin Cook and we ordered Kal Guk Soo and Spicy Braised Short Ribs. Both were delicious. The condiments were basic. The marinated onions and radishweres our favorites. We liked the steamed rice. The prices are on the high end but this is normal. We will definitely will return to try something else in the near future. Every employee is very friendly and knowledgeable regarding their menu. Parking: A tons of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of handicap parking.

Let me start by saying everything was a 10/10! I ordered the chicken katsu with curry, it was some of the best curry Ive had. The crispiness of the chicken coupled with the savory flavorful curry was out of this world! The steamed dumplings were absolutely delicious, and the mushroom japchae may have been the best vegan dish I have ever tasted! I would definitely recommend coming here. Best Chicken Katsu & Katsu Curry in the city! If you like nice staff, fresh HOT food & cultural ambiance, this spot is for you! Came here with my bestie today. I got the Katsu curry, and she got the regular. Bomb af... The curry is thick and has a VERY rich flavor. I loved it. Very generous portions as well. We both got chicken, but if swine is your jam, they also have the Katsu in pork cutlet, as well as other delectable looking items on their menu. Super nice, friendly staff that checked on us but didnt hover. Love it. They also have the GOOD chopsticks... you dont have to rub them together. They click & clack with no splinters. Love that for me! Definitely recommend this spot!

I have done several of these reviews I have never given anyone five stars across-the-board. This is by far the best restaurant I have ever been to based on food, service, atmosphere and price if you have not been there get there. Along with starting two restaurants of my own years ago, I have been fortunate enough to travel to many countries as well as throughout the United States so my saying this is the best restaurant I have ever been to is making a real strong statement. Again, this is based on all of the criteria atmosphere, service, food, and price.

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant, as was my wife. We came in on a Saturday night and it was busier than I expected it to be, but there was no wait. The staff was very friendly and efficient in providing menus, drinks, sides, etc. The food came out quickly and -- heres the best part: was way better than I was expecting! The Asian food experience in SCV is not always anything to write home about, but the food here is very good! I had bulgogi hot stone bimbimbap, and it was very good--comparable to other meals Ive had elsewhere. The only detracting factor is the prices being relatively high--its not a cheap place to eat. But I do consider the food, atmosphere, and service to be worth it. I really enjoyed this restaurant, I recommend it to all who want to try good Korean soul food, and I will be back! Parking: Saturday night parking was available but had to park a short walk away.

This is NOT authentic Korean. I am surprised this has as many stars as it does. Their service is embarrassingly bad. Their soup tasted like water. The franchise owner happened to be there that day and when he was informed he came back to us very rude, saying that they couldnt do anything and even suggested we add salt and pepper?? Let me know how adding salt and pepper to something that tastes like absolute water makes it better. We just finished as much of the water noodles as we could endure with a fake smile and left. We also overheard a Korean couple being confused that their dish didnt include rice. I would not recommend coming here unless you are wanting to eat overpriced chain restaurant styled food with bad service.

NEVER AGAIN We came early while relatively slow, 5pm on a Saturday. My wifes food came out within 20 minutes, however mine never showed up. 15 minutes after, the servers acknowledged there was a mistake made, and they were working on it. 10 minutes more and still nothing. I watched as other parties who sat AFTER I ORDERED get their food. To rub salt in the wound, my wifes food had a HAIR in it. Enough was enough and we told them we were leaving and to cancel the missing food. 0 for 2, Jin 1. Bulgogi Bibimbap with a hair in it 2. Chicken Katsu curry never came, even 25 minutes after the other hairy dish did We are never coming back here again, and I advise you dont either.

This restaurant used to be Sushi California. Then it turned into another sushi restaurant called All About Sushi. Now its a Korean restaurant. I will say that the remodel of the place looks great. As for the food, I ordered the Pork Katsu (no curry) and it was juicy and crispy. But the other items I ordered, I wasnt so happy with. I ordered a beef bone broth soup. The first time it came out, it was missing the glass noodles. So they had to take it back. When I finally got to try it, it literally tasted like water with a hint of beef. No seasoning whatsoever. The soup was tolerable after I added my own salt and pepper. Also, there was hardly any beef in it. The other item I ordered was the seafood pancake that came out last because it took them an HOUR to cook. When it came out, it looked and tasted slightly burnt on the outside. But on the inside, it was slightly mushy. As for the waiters/waitresses: there were too many IMO. 5 of them (not including the owner/manager) for such a small restaurant. I think the food wasnt coming out fast enough, so they didnt have much to do except come to our table every 5 minutes and ask us if everything was ok. And when one table would leave, there were 3 people cleaning that one small table. This place isnt worth going back again unfortunately. Its definitely overpriced and the flavor is just not there. Vegetarian options: They have a mushroom curry and a mushroom japchae (noodles).

Finally got fed up, server asked how we were going, told her we have not received food yet, she went to the back kitchen, came back out never acknowledged and started serving other people again being totally ignored. The chef was good and had a good personality. I went because of an online review stating how much had changed as far as decor and they had 2 for the price of 1 sushi rolls. They have changed a couple dining areas but not much and some of the walls need paint. When I looked at the menu it wasn t apparent that they had this 2 for 1 deal and had to ask about it. It also wasn t apparent that the special was from only one section of the menu and I ordered 2 rolls but they were from different sections in the menu so I was surprised when I got the bill. They should make those things More Apparent. I thought their hot saki cost more than other places I ve been and the quality of the sushi was just ok. Their menu said that Uni was @ market value and was told that right now it was about $25.00 for an order. I recently purchased Uni with Quail egg at Ichiban and their menu price is $9.95 + $2.00 for 2 Quail eggs. It wasn t terrible but it may be a while before I return to give them another try. I ll be waiting for better reviews.

We went for my little brothers birthday and needless to say i dont think its a repeat.the first problem was the decor, its was just plain confusing and ugly. They had tile and colorful eye catching light fixtures, but then on the walls they have surfboards, and antique paintings and mirrors everywhere. And of course the food was disappointing... The rice was not properly washed and so it was starchy and not sticky enough (the roll would just fall apart as soon as you picked it up) and the whole thing came of as slimey and soggy. After we were done with our food my little bro started crying and apologizing for picking a bad restaurant. We wont be going back

Not very good at all and way over priced for what you get. There are far better choices in the near by area for a much better price and fresher fish. My first clue should have been the smell of fish as soon as we walked in even while being congested. We asked for a green tea hot. When it gets us it tasted like old broth and Jasmine tea. We ordered a Bento Box with salmon and special sushi rolls when we got the box there was the original roll still in them and we had to remind the waitress. When we finally got our box this Sushi was not with it and the salmon was burnt with like a molasses teriyaki sauce. It was not worth the time or the money and Im hoping my stomach health will be fine. When the waiter asks how everything was we told him we were disappointed and he agreed that we should be that was that visit

At this point I was do offended... I just left the food on the table and walked out. I will never ever go here again or recommend my family or friends. The food actullly tasted good and I am usually not a picky person... but the owner of this restaurant made us feel so unimportant. If you dont know people You dont know business

Good food. It wasnt spectacular, but it was tasty and not unreasonably priced. Good location for small groups. No all-you-can-eat option that we could see, though.

Ive been coming here for years. Had been a while but thought i would try it out again. Never Again! Waitress and bus boy were fantastic. But the non Asian chef who made our food incorrect was a jerk. I saw him laughing at his craft. He thought it was so funny that he put smelt in my hand roll when I simply wanted avocado. He sent it back to me filled with smelt. Disgusting. I tipped everyone but him. Haha! Never coming back!

The sushi here is good, best caterpillar roll ive ever had. But, they seem to have gotten cheap. You used to get 3 pieces of sushi with your order and now you only get 2 for the same price. They also seem to take happy hour away when they know they will be busy anyway, like on a holiday.
