solita Tacos & Margaritas

This was my second time visiting Solita in Santa Clarita. First of all, the decor and atmosphere are a vibe. The host was very sweet and quick to find us a booth, even on a busy Friday night. Our server, Angel, was super nice and gave amazing food and drink recommendations. The manager (I think he was) Caesar was very nice. He asked how the food was and if we needed anything. Overall, the experience was great, and we will definitely be back again.

My daughter took me for brunch to Solitas restaurant for Mother’s Day. I enjoyed my appetizer, drinks, food, and atmosphere. The wait was only 10mins for a table the food was delicious and served with perfect timing. The waiter was kind and the Manager also visited our table to ask how everything was. I am definitely going back soon.

Solita is great, but it could be better. I have had street tacos, and they are excellent. Recently, I had brunch. Machaca and eggs. It was okay. Tried the famous watermelon Margarita. A little too strong for me. But I think most customers love strong. My friend ordered the albondigas. The chef could work on the presentation a bit. She was served a long, stuffed meatball floating in a deep bowl of brown soup. I diverted my eyes and blocked unsavory thoughts. She absolutely loved every slurp and said it was her new favorite soup. As much as I love albondigas, I won't be ordering that. As for their evil green salsa, I had to discreetly release my tortilla chip into a paper napkin because it was like acid. I gasped and could not speak. Gringos beware. Adored Jorge. Best server ever.

My friends and I needed a location half way between our locations and we found Solita. They were able to accommodate the three of us and provided us with drinks immediately. I had the happy hour margarita, my friends had a glass of wine and the ducky frozé. The drinks were good. We ordered the albondiga rellena soup which I was told was a huge portion and it wasn't. My friend ordered tacos one Loco BBQ and one pork belly Dorado and a side of beans. The beans never came out, and the pork belly taco tssted like fish which we discovered it was! My other friend ordered the enchiladas and she loved them. I spoke to the waiter and said we needed to have those items removed and they were. Overall my friends and I enjoyed our surroundings

We live in the neighborhood and we constantly are revisiting our local restaurants. My wife and I ordered carne asada fajitas and carne asada tacos but flavor felt short from what s expected. At this time we recommend new management or cooks, the food did not have the kick of a Mexican authentic food.

Dont sit on the patio unless you want to be annoyed by flies. Landing in/on your food, drinks, or your person. Ceiling fans dont work, and theres no real urgency to fix this issue.

Love this place. Friendly staff, quick service, foods comes out hot and is to die for. Im plant based, several amazing vegan options to choose from. Complimentary chips, pinwheels several amazing sauces to choose from. We had the watermelon margaritas, very tasty. Our server Jordan cared for our every need and Jordan has excellent customer service skills. Mari the host is very caring and between the two, they made sure that everything was perfect. We drove from Palmdale California. We will definitely will be back. We love Solitatacos.

One of my favorite places for tacos and margaritas, especially during happy hour. The meats and fish are fresh, the service is excellent, and Maria, the manager, is very accommodating. I experience no wait times when I arrive around 4 p.m. This location is conveniently located at the Westfield Mall in Valencia; parking is just a stones throw away. All in all, a wonderful experience for a regular spot to wind down, and I highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately, I went there after a graduation and my entire party was disappointed with our food. The asada tacos didnt have flavor, the chicken taquitos were flavorless, the chicken quesadilla was mid and my fried tacos were the worst. Sadly, none of us enjoyed our food.

I came here yesterday afternoon for their Mojito Mondays and off the experience Monday I was excited to come back with some friends and try some more items on the menu. I wouldve given it 5 stars but todays experience was much different mostly based off the manager, Natalie. The consistent theme with Natalie was that she didnt take any responsibility or even show the slightest bit that she cared; not for the miscommunication, not for us being over charged. Natalie either blamed it on our waitress or the computer system but as the manager she didnt take any ownership or show any leadership. She didnt make any effort to show she cared about our experience, apologize and seemed to be a minimalist, in the sense she was there to just do the minimum. Miscommunication: We ordered the same carnita special for our daughter (k-38) amd some how that ended up being a vampiro which we didnt order. The manager came and said they couldnt order it the way we did and we told her the order was wrong. We ordered a desert with her and was left waiting for a long time. We asked our waitress Dana (who was very nice) and she said she didnt know we ordered the desert, and asked who we ordered it with. The manager said she told our waitress about our order and blamed Dana for the lack of communication saying she had coached her about not making assumptions about orders. The restaurant is kind enough to offer a military discount. Our waitress told us the manager said it was 30% off but then changed it tp 20% off. In the end I was told it doesnt come off of the special and was asked which discount I wanted, and I said the lower one. The waitress said, im sorry she cant offer the discount because the computer wont allow it. We realized that they over charged us and I went back to have it corrected. The manager didnt apologize, seemed defensive and she just seemed bothered to do her job. Reviewing the receipt I asked why the discount wasnt applied on normally priced items and she said because the computer wouldnt let her. I asked if the K-38 special (Taco tuesday special for 2 small tacos a d a house margarita) was on a separate receipt would I get the discount and she said, yes but made no attempt to help. I ordered three k-38 specials for $10 each. Thats about $30 and is a great deal!!! We ordered about $50 of other items, none of which was offered a military discount not including what our friends ordered. If we are spending $200 on Mexican food, the experience and customer service is important. The tacos were good (Carnitas, vampiro, al hambre). Street tacos are small tacos, not their normal size. They are more snack size. The nachos were average and was kind of dry and underwhelming. The drinks are really good. I enjoyed their Mojitos (I had the spicy one and the vanilla which is more on the sweet side). We also enjoyed their house margaritas (Mango, guava and watermelon) and I would recommend asking for them with tajin on the rim.

Food is always good, the patio is relaxing, but we dont always get the best service. It is inconsistent, which is disappointing. We would go more often if we had consistent good service. Still, I will say the food is good and they have a nice selection of margaritas and salsas.

Very, very mediocre food. Soda is served in a tiny glass with too much ice, the rice comes in a tiny bowl, and my friend and I both felt queasy aftet we left. The live music wasnt bad, but much to loud. Youre better off going to La Cocina.

My son recommended Solitas as a great date night for me and my husband. He was not wrong. The menu seems simple but the food is exquisite! Stepping through the doorway we were greeted instantly. This restaurant is an experience. I had the taco of the month, and it was like nothing I have ever had before. I have always said Mexican food is my favorite, but these flavor combos made me feel like I was in a Netflix food special. I have many, many food allergies so finding someplace that can provide as much flavor in food as I had here was incredible.Outstanding service, priced well, and dont get me started on the cocktails! Just go, you wont regret it!

The food was great, the drinks were better, and the service was still yet the best. Our server Derian touched our table every 10-15 minutes throughout our 3 hour stay. The manager Elio also stopped by multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, and every single member of the team was willing to jump in on any of our requests. They were efficient and got all of our orders correct, including specializations and modifications. It truly felt like they were invested in us having a good guest experience! Thank you to the team for creating such a welcoming environment.

Im not normally one for non-homemade Mexican food so when my friend suggested this place I was skeptical but as always, hopeful. It. Was. AMAZING. The wait staff was incredibly patient (I was with a huge crowd and it was the first time for most -if not ALL- of us) and kind and even helpful when it came to guiding us to things we might like best. I ordered El Vampiro (its amazing. fully recommend), asking the beef be as cooked and possibly even crispy if possible. I never expect that, I just say it to clarify I really CANT do undercooked meats. It came back PERFECTLY crisped. Its SO great when the chefs take the care/time to actually do that for me. And it was SO delicious, I went ahead and ordered a second one. My second visit went just as amazingly. They had live music this time which I didnt know they did so that was really cool. Out of a little curiosity and a big desire to save money, I asked for a kids menu. While I was curious to try things off it, I was informed the more expensive regular quesadilla was WAY bigger than the kids one and went with that. And not only was the quesadilla huge (and of course delicious but we knew that) but it was unexpectedly colorful. One red tortilla and one yellow tortillas, arranged in a pattern to show off the colors. I hope this isnt something usual for restaurants to do with quesadillas because then Im gonna look dumb for being so impressed by it but it was SO PRETTY. All in all, a literal 10/10. Great food. Great service. Great free salsa and chip appetizers. Always clean. I seriously am looking forward to going again.

Only have visited once. Not your typical Mexican food. Interesting menu. I had street taco platter. It will cost you $17 but the two side dishes were very good too. I plan to return to try something more unique

Visiting California for the first time from Wisconsin. If you want fresh salsa, delicious carnitas and cold beers this is the place you ll want to go to. Terrific service, great food, good-sized margaritas! My husband went here for a spontaneous day date and Solita did not disappoint! Everyone on staff was super friendly and welcoming. Our server Alexis gave awesome food recommendations, and the manager Maria even came out to welcome us and check in that we were having a good time. We had been here before and had a very unpleasant time, decided to come back because our previous experience was most caused by the manager on duty, and this time had an excellent meal. Faith was fantastic as a server and offered to let us speak to Ellio, who let us know that our concerns had been heard and addressed from our previous visit and review. This place very much rose to the occasion when we decided to give it a second chance. Dietary restrictions: Was fully able to accomodate my girlfriend who has celiac and a gluten alergy.

So we were in town for our last night of the trip and we ordered the street taco platter with for any store street tacos. Allow me to interrupt to say that they have a very deep and varied menu consisting of everything from seafood, steak, chicken, pork, and QUITE a few vegan options. That was surprising. Any who, thats what the wife got, and my daughter and I both got a burrito, but she got shredded chicken that was prepared differently than my grilled chicken. I was pleased not overjoyed with my food add o was hungry she should have been. My daughter appeared happy with her choice. I cant say i disliked anything, but yeah. My wife the other hand was highly disappointed with her order as it was not regular street taco form with cilantro, cheese, lime, and onions, she got just dry meat and cheese whole order was not what she expected. Fish overcooked, so was shrimp, and beer batter was dark brown and over cooked too. The overall experience was disappointing but the place looks great though. The hostess was lovely and very good at her job. To bad she cant save this place.

Karina server was fantastic!! Manager, fantastic! So attentive and nice. Food and taco tuesday was soo good. There nachose are amazing too. Salsa, very unique. Worth every penny! Kid-friendliness: If they are adult friendly, I am sure they are kid friendly!

My daughter told me that they had told her about that restaurant, and she asked me what I wanted from there because it was Mothers Day, she wanted to surprise me, I came home from work very hungry, this was what they sold to my daughter, a stake of 25 dollars and a queso al forno, this is disgusting, a robbery, my poor daughter spent 100 dollars, nothing to do with the photo, we will never shop there again

They messed up on a lot of our orders and forgot our appetizers and we saw someone vomit at the bar and it was just a bad experience. We wished hooters stayed at the location.

Estimated 20-25 min wait. Waited over 55 min for our table to be ready and our kids were hungry, we could have eaten elsewhere. When I asked about the wait they kept saying 15 more min. We just left after that. Not a good experience trying to eat here

My server tonight was Faith and she was simply awesome! Perfect service - very professional, on point without hovering. A pleasure to deal with! The food speaks for itself. Seriously, the Vampiro taco is exemplary! I have never had such an amazing taco! Yeah u guys Rock it! Five stars for everything Vegetarian options: My daughter doesn t eat meat and she LOVES the Chile tofu tacos and guacamole. Sublime! Parking: Parking is great - it s a mall and it s restaurant row, but it never takes me more than 5 minutes to find a good, close spot.

This is an INTENT of Mexican food. Not my first pick and last time coming here. The food was bland, not flavorful at all. The water glasses smelled like bleach so I couldn t even drink water. Overpriced for boring mexican food. Stick to the mom & pop shops if you want mexican food.

On Tuesday nights, they have live music, which is amazing. It is usually busy, so it takes a little bit to get your food, but it is worth the wait.

One of my new favorite places to dine. The salsa red or green is tasty not extremely hot if you can t handle it. The tacos are flavorful and a good size., Would recommend.

Here with the team to grab a quick lunch and it was definitely well worth it. The carne asada has a distinct taste and was great in my burrito. We will definitely come here again.

Ordered the chicken verde. Was nasty. Very greasy as it was floating in grease. We were early for lunch so there was only one other couple eating, it still took 30 minutes to order. After finally getting our food we didnt see the server again until the bill came out. Will not be going back

Great food, but what an exceptional service our waiter provided from the introduction to good night on Sat. My favorite spot in Valencia now. I expect the restaurant is managed very well and will experience great service from other wait staff. I knew it was great service and we discussed amongst our party as we dined. It was much clearer after visiting a very busy national chain restaurant on Sun.

I love trying New Places. Christmas day I went with my family and waited 45 minutes to be served our food. Granted they just opened, no real rush. Food was just ok. Everything was really sweet. It was not for me.

What a cool restaurant! Love the vibe. They had live music when we were there and everyone was having such a good time. Think these were some of the best tacos weve ever had. My husband had the shrimp tacos and I had the variety plate. Everything was warm and delicious. The portion sizes were perfect. Cant wait family to come visit so we can take them here!
