Papa Johns Pizza

I go around to quite a few fast food places, restaurants, stores, ect, I love to review the quality of a place. From the minute I walked in I noticed a very clean restaurant and was greeted very politely. The man who was there unfortunately I wasn't able to get his name but he had a slight limp if that helps the owner know who I'm talking about , he was very professional and was quick to get my order. He made it very quickly and exactly how I asked with no issues whatsoever . Usually there would be too much garlic but nope no issue , perfect amount of cheese for me, clean cut like I asked and the right amount of mushrooms just how I like it. Thank you guys for an amazing lunch . I will definitely come back and will recommend u to anyone I come across.

At 1:00 P.M. I came with my family to your restaurant on Valley St. Whille I place the order, I asked politely to Mr. Alollinar, if I could have a different sauce on it because the red sauce upset our stomach. The clerk replied " No" He said that I needed to get the pizza the way it was on the coupon. I asked that I would pay extra for the sauce. He said " No" again and I said why not. He replied that he didn't wanted i too. We kept arguing back and forth, until I had to begging him for the sauce in front of other customers and my family It was a really bad experience and embarrassedment, plus your emplyees had very bad way of treating your customers in a very rude manner. Maybe he was frustrated because he was the only employee doing all the work at once. He made me wait 18 minutes after the argument so he could take my order. I will never visit your restaurant again. Oh boy, what a mess.
Ordered 3 pizzas, one side of garlic knots. When the food arrives, the garlic knots are missing, but the driver has already left. When I call the restaurant, first I'm on hold for ages, then I'm told they can't correct the missing item because they use door dash drivers and it's too complicated to fix an order because of that. At least I am told I'll get a refund for that (hasn't posted yet, so I don't know), but when I finally do get to eat, the pizza is beyond cold, and just plain not good on top of them getting the toppings wrong. The thin crust pizza on our order - also not good.
It's sad, because I love Papa John's, but we won't be ordering from this location again.

I tried to call the DoorDash driver immediately after I placed my order, to ask for plates and napkins, and he didn’t pick up the phone. I tried to call the Papa John’s location, and they put me on hold two times and did not answer the phone, when I tried to reach the store. This is simply unacceptable and unprofessional. For both entities to not answer my call at all, calls for serious change.
P.S. XL Pizza barely had pepperoni and very small sausages, not as advertised at all. Boneless wings looked like frozen chicken nuggets, but sauce was okay. Free delivery code worked thank goodness. But you have to spend $35.00 minimum =\

Would give 0 if I could, I’ve ordered twice on Uber eats, had a phone call saying my orders cancelled after ages of waiting and the phone hung up. Blocked my number and I approached Uber who would not help. I will be taking this further if I continue to receive no help from the franchise.

Papa John’s was always our go to spot for really good pizza. This location ranked all that for me. The pizza all looked old, tasted old and the frusta were all very hard. I ordered online and none of the crusts came out the way I ordered; flavor options not met. When I called in the guy told me to bring them back in the store that they could review with a Pizza look like and if they agreed they looked old then they would make me new. I live 22 mins away. 45 mins round trip…without traffic. I don’t want to bring the pizzas back. I just won’t be going back and will have to just forget about the $81 I spent and then also gave a $7 tip…total $88p

I have orderd from here twice and both times they have messed up my order, the first time I orderd the stuffed crust and got regular crust the second time they burned the pizza and still gave it to me, thats straight up lazy.

Dont know what happened in the last 6 months but the quality of the food has declined. They completely changed my once favorite boneless chicken bites for significantly smaller dryer bites damn near inedible. And the pizza was cold crust is not the same as well terrible. Never eating at papa jhons again.

Had a problem with our order, and there was no one to talk to. Put on hold, and the call never went through. I drove to the store to talk to somebody and was told that since the order was placed on the app, there was nothing they could do. Whether its the store itself or Papa Johns is beside the point. The food was bad, and so was the service.

I really dont like complaining. But after driving for around 7 hours with kids, a toddler crying, and a prangry wife (4 months pregnant, hungry, and not particularly comfortable after the long ride), something should be said since I cant even talk to anyone at the restaurant (being on hold for 30+ minutes). The positives: Papa Johns usually had pretty good quality, and their garlic sauce is good. The negatives: Generally more expensive than the other major pizza chains. The app is terrible, doesnt show the status of your order. Over the last 20 years of ordering Papa Johns off and on, today is my first ever bad experience with them. My family and I were away for the Christmas weekend, arriving home in the evening on Christmas day. On the way home, we decided to order pizza after learning that our local Papa Johns was open. We havent ordered from them in about a year and a half since we have a cheaper go-to, but since they were open and their pizza is pretry decent, we decided to give them a go. We placed our order over an hour before we expected to arrive home, and picked delivery - we set the delivery time about 15 minutes after we were expected to be home. After driving for close to 7 hours, it would be nice to arrive home and have a hot meal show up soon after. About 5 minutes after our expected delivery time we called to check on our order status, and the automated system said our order was not ready yet. We them called them half an hour (30 minutes) after our order should have been delivered, and their employee apologized about being behind, and that our order would be out the door on 5 minutes, and arrive with 20 minutes or so, and would be hot. Our pizzas arrived over an hour late (60 minutes late). We ordered 4 pizzas - all 4 were cold. 2 of them were gluten free - one was pretry burnt, and the other was partially burnt. Our 2 regular pizzas were not made right - one of them only had a few toppings on half of the pizza, and the other pizza had the wrong toppings on them. Given that we were tired, we didnt care about getting the pizzas remade correctly. I still tried to reach out to them to tell them things werent made correctly and to see if anything could be done. I understand its Christmas day, they were probably short-staffed, and that they were busy. It still doesnt give an excuse to sacrifice quality. And definitely not an excuse to not pickup the phone. I tried calling from the time we got the pizza until after they were closed, which was for over an hour (60 minutes) just to have the phone picked up and hung up. Will be calling tomorrow, December 26th, to see if anything can be resolved.

Javier the cook was very very kind to us. He had the store very clean and very in order. His cook time was on point and the food was amazing. Javier we need more people like you in our restaurants. Thank you for allowing my children and I a wonderful experience at Papa Johns. I guess the new owners have what it takes to turn things around. Please go visit this place under new ownership. Came here bc the saugus location usually messes up my order. It was no different at this location tonight, I ordered a pizza with half cheese and half green pepper & pineapple, and the whole pizza had pineapple with half green pepper. The guy said on his screen it said half green pepper so idk why that would have happened. When I asked if we could just get a whole cheese for the inconvenience he was just uhh like I guess so they at least get 3 stars bc they made up for it. Wish papa Johns would stop messing up my orders bc I really love their pizza

If I could I would rate zero starts . I placed an order and I called 1.5 hrs later to follow up. The owners who was there (refused to speak to me) -I could hear her telling the employee on the phone that no manager or owner was there . I m beyond upset how how unprofessional this papa John is. Store charged my spouses and my cards MULTIPLE times. Haven t received a refund. They lied and said my cards declined, then we magically got delivered a pizza. We already ordered from somewhere else. They argued when I told them corporate told me to refuse the order as they made the mistake. Still haven t gotten a refund and neither has my husband. DO not order from here. They a rude and customer service is terrible.

Not safe for your health. We ordered pizza right after they open, they said to come back in 10-15 min. We came back in 20 and it was still not ready. But my main concern was sanitary standards, I saw the lady ( Indian lady with eyeglasses) making pizzas without wearing mask and gloves, in between she was touching cashier machine and never washed hands. When I asked about gloves, she said: No, Papa John s policy is NOT to wear gloves! She was mean, and screaming on the young guy who works with her. She touches dough then cash, cashier machine and goes back to put pepperoni on pizza! This is not safe at all! And it is food.

My worst experience with a pizza place. I ordered the cinnamon pull apart bread. And when I got it delivered, there was a chunk missing. It looked like someone took the piece. I called and was told that they dropped it and should Just eat it. I sent pictures and explained that I didnt feel comfortable eating the bread. When I asked for a refund I wasnt given a response. A waste of money for something I couldnt eat. Wouldnt recommend.

Have ordered from this place a couple of times. First time was a carryout order, and the service was less than friendly. Thats fine, not everyone has to be all smiles. About a month later, I ordered a large order for a party and these guys didnt bother offering any deals/coupons and just charged up the full amount (which ended up being an absurd sum). You can get better service and better treatment at any other large chain in SCV. Were not giving any more business to these folks until ownership changes.

Wow what a HORRIBLE service this place is! On Christmas Day I placed an online order around 8pm and once my transaction went through it stated that it will take 130 minutes to get the pizza ready. I honestly wish that information was there BEFORE taking my money. I tried calling multiple times to cancel my order and nobody was answering the phone. It was nearly 11pm and the app here on Google said the store would be closing at 11pm. My online order still stated that the pizza was in the 1st step in the making and will still take 130 minutes. Once 12:30am hit , it showed the pizza was picked up already. I was so confused and I called and again nobody picked up. I called the next day and asked for a refund since I tried cancelling and nobody was picking up. The staff stated only the manager can give out refunds and they will call me back. I never received a call in return. I decided to call the papa johns customer service and they also stated they could not give out refunds and only the store manager could. Yesterday 12/27 I called and asked for a refund. Same story. Only the manager can give out refunds and he will call me. He never called. I called AGAIN and sure enough the manager was there. (Tony). I let him know the whole situation and he said he couldn t give me a refund because they couldn t verify if the pizza was actually picked up by me or not. He stated their system isn t rigged . So I felt completely robbed and now I have to take other actions to get my money back. Why in the world would I lie about a pizza?! Please avoid this place. They are completely thieves.

2 and a half hour wait for pizza. Store was full other people also waiting this long, the man who looked like the owner was handling this situation poorly and couldnt focus on getting peoples orders out. Had to ask four or five times about my order and he kept getting distracted by other customers or boxing up new orders. Someone came to get theirs and it had been given away by accident

Horrible service. Placed and order and it said 45 min wait time. Once I got the email confirmation it changed to 173 min. I called to cancel and they never picked up the phone and all of the sudden the app showed the store was closed. This place is run by very unprofessional people.

This store is awful! I have a credit for a pizza since they delivered the wrong order to my house the other day. I had to keep calling the restaurant to even get a store credit. So today when I called to get my pizza with the store credit I was promised I was told i couldn t bc the owner wasn t there to credit the pizza & I would have to wait to after 7 pm when he got there! Which makes no sense- so I can only get my credit & eat dinner at their convenience?? Worst service ever! I will never order from this place again!!!

I order from this location once a month if not twice a month. The older man always know what I order from previous orders. As I order the same thing 2 large w extra cheese & pepperoni. I get the Special for $22.00 before the pandemic and recently about $27.00 great deal. Today my daughter placed the same order and they didnt apply the coupon which is understandable since she didnt tell them at the time of the call. I called after I asked her how much it was & she mentioned $47 and change almost double the amount. I called them right back & ask them if they could apply it since my daughter forgot to mention it and they person who answered requests to call me back. He called me back to tell me nothing he can do since the order has been picked up. I asked to speak to manager- I got the no manager on shift and they have no clue when he will be in. Well I wont be ordering from this location anymore. Poor customer service and pizza is always a hit or miss. Never know what youre going to get.

Placed a large online order and the food was hot and delicious at the time of pick-up. Staff was helpful too. Prefer Papa Johns over Dominos because they allow you to use multiple coupons in your order which saves you a lot of money on large orders. Dessert was awesome too.

Well, I wanna preface this with saying the staff are great. They are extremely polite and hard working. Most of the time this location has one employee handling the entire store. Which is of no fault to the staff, but the management. The male is nice, but for the older female, that s not the case. Very rude, unwilling to admit mistakes, and from what I gather, very negative to the team. But huge shoutout to all the staff who day in and day out work very hard. I d be blessed to have them work for me.

Quality is very inconsistent. Last time, they put a large amount of cheese on the pizza even though we selected regular. Made it too much. This time all the toppings were underneath the cheese??? I also requested extra pepperoni and got light pepperoni and under the cheese. This location is just very inconsistent and does not make pizza to papa johns standards.

Done ordering from this location! Called to resolve a simple issue - they gave me 2 bbq sauces versus the honey mustard that I paid extra for. The guy on the other end then said that Papa John s stopped selling Honey Mustard a while ago I expressed surprise as I ordered from another location a week and a half ago that had it and it was still an option on the mobile app. He then yells at me that he gave me 2 Honey Chipotle sauces to which I reminded him that I did not order nor did I want the sauces that were delivered. If they were out of honey mustard they could have called to let me know or at least not have charged me for them. I told him that I simply wanted a refund for the Honey Mustard that I ordered but didn t receive (btw I know the amount is very little but have received wrong sauces multiple times in the past and am done paying extra for them if I don t get them). After yelling some more and insulting me, he then had the nerve to tell me to drive his store to return the sauces he delivered to me that I did not ask for! This guy was rude, bombastic and should no-way be working in any capacity in a restaurant or business that deals with a customers. Do yourself a favor and do not order here. Please check other recent reviews of this place if you don t want to take my word.

Order pizza for my kids. They have now contracted with door dash. We gave them the correct address but Francisco insisted we were lying about our unit number. He put in whatever unit her wanted. Our pizza was delivered to the wrong unit as that is what Francisco put on the label. We had a complete stranger bring us the pizza that was delivered to their unit. So in the time of COVID they expect us to take this pizza and feed it to our kids. I think not!!!!! I called and advised of what had happened and all Francisco will say is I will give you free pizza. Are you kidding m!!!!. He refuses to let us speak to the manager only tells us he is coming late. I am now disputing the charge on my credit card. You cannot expect me to ever order from them again!!!

Terrible service. Don t know about the pizza as it never arrived. 32 minutes turned into 90 and still the pizza was not made. Not the first time, but it is the last time. We ve seen complaints from others along with pics of burnt pizza. Save yourself time and money and select another location air even better a different pizza chain. Staff were uncaring and didn t want to help.

My kids wanted pizza for dinner so I decided to order for pickup. Upon arrival I parked right in front of the store and notice the female employee making the pizza is not wearing a mask or gloves. I appreciate the look of my pizzas, all toppings were evenly distributed across the pizzas which I am always thankful for especially during the time of being quarantined and to have dinner with my family. Thank you to the staff that took the time to show care in the pizzas we ordered.

The last 3 out of 4 times this place has been horrible. The delivery guy didn t want to come through the gate onto the well lit porch because he didn t want people thinking he was breaking in. So he kept pressing the speaker on the outside of the gate that we never use. When I told him it doesn t work he was trying to playfully argue to make it sound like he was late because it was my fault I didn t specify. He even told me we should remove the speaker because it s confusing. This is the 2nd time the same guy has done this. He is also the manager of the store and gave me problems when he didn t believe that the driver didn t drop off the soda. The delivery fee even went up $0.50 and I tipped on the card, so doesn t matter to him. Next time I ll do Postmates or go get it myself. It took twice as long for them to deliver than they estimated.

Place was very crowded, but staff was very friendly. Had a $ 7.77 deal for large 1 topping pizza. Pizza tasted good. Only thing that could have been better was more sausage on the pizza. Otherwise, I will return.

Heard went under new management, so decided to try it out. I had an amazing experience. First time order carryout and the staff were very friendly and had my pizza done is a quick manner and it was delicious. It was so good I ordered again the next day but this time delivery and I got my pizzas within 30 minutes! It was like it had just came out the oven. Driver was very friendly and caring for my satisfaction. I tipped him a very good amount. Overall this place is really good, everything about it is outstanding and I know they have buy one get one free deals so that might encourage some of you to try it out.

Update 9/25/17 Ive upgraded my 1 star to 3 stars because Hector Ortiz emailed me and gave me his number to call. Mr. Ortiz assured me that he would provide guidance to his staff. So, Ive got no problems giving them another chance. ---Original Review--- Pizza wasnt delivered; called spoke to Cathy; she was rude/dismissive, accused us of not picking up the phone when the driver was lost. I said we didnt get a call and that the number she claims to have called wouldve been answered any 1 of 3 people in the office. She then blamed Papa Johns online ordering system. Wouldnt send the driver back because she said she was busy. Dont order from here. Just eat a salad.

The pizza here is unedible. Their traditional crust was so thin and soggy. Dont waste your money here. Manager offered no resolution.

I always order on the online app so Im not sure about the customer service, but the pizza always comes on time and as delicious as every papa Johns. No complaints here

Made several large orders from this place for my business. Last two times theyve really failed. Currently waiting for several large orders that never came in. Apparently the manager didnt show up for work today. Would be nice to get some communication or get my order routed through another store. I had to call their corporate offices and even they had trouble figuring out what was going on. If there was an option for no stars I wouldve chosen it.

They are 6 minutes away from where I live and it took them over an hour to deliver when they said the wait would be only 30 minutes. The pizza was luke warm when it got here. I ordered an extra large pizza and it was extremely underwelmin. My friends and I finished it in 2 minutes, most of us only got a single piece. This place is trash
