The food is very delicious. I havent had perfectly made rice that I paid for in a very long time. Highly recommend the trout. The specialty drinks are worth exploring. You cant go wrong with anything from the mezza section of the menu.

Disappointed with OmaAyah s Lebanese Restaurant! I drove all the way from LA to try Oma Ayah s, but it was such a letdown. I ordered the hummus with meat (fatteh) and four cheese rolls, and both were absolutely terrible. The fatteh had no flavor no salt, no lemon, just bland and soggy. All I could taste was the oil from the beef, which overpowered everything. The cheese rolls were just as bad cold and tasteless. I spent almost $40 for nothing and ended up stopping at Panda Express to actually eat lunch because I couldn t bring myself to finish the food here. It all went in the trash. Really disappointed and won t be coming back.

I recently discovered Omayas in Santa Clarita, and it s truly a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with such warmth and friendliness, it felt like I was visiting family. The authenticity of the Lebanese cuisine here is beyond impressive. Every dish, from the hummus to the shawarma, bursts with the rich, aromatic flavors you d expect from a traditional Lebanese kitchen. You can tell they take pride in their craft each bite is a journey to Lebanon. The restaurant itself is spotless, and the cleanliness only adds to the overall experience. The delightful aromas greet you as soon as you step inside, making it hard not to start drooling before you even see the menu! Another big plus is the parking easy and convenient, which is a rare treat around here. If you re in Santa Clarita and haven t been to Omayas yet, you re truly missing out on one of the area s best-kept secrets. This place is an absolute must-try for anyone craving genuine Lebanese flavors in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. I ll definitely be back!

Excellent and authentic food. The falafel was warm and crispy and the baba ganoush was perfectly smoky. I also loved the lavender lemonade! Service was great; our waitress was very attentive. Atmosphere is great for what it is. I enjoyed the foliage and string lights. Will be coming back. I am gluten free and there were plenty of well marked options.

Manager is arrogant. I m an executive chef with 25 years of experience. Placed an online order. Pita was stale and hummus bubbly/lemony, which is a sign of spoilage. Ordered it to be delivered to my GF, who go sick vomiting about 5-6 after eating the meal. Called the place and was told they have issues with their vendor of pita. Manager Sam called me back and took zero responsibility at all. He even said I was wrong Did he try the hummus? Likely not. Needless to say my girlfriend is middle eastern and know her hummus. Manager said hummus can t spoil. Well, being a chef, I know it can quite easily . Hummus is made up of garbanzo beans, which is rich on protein. Any kind of protein has to be held at the proper temp and is prone to spoiling. Sam then blamed the delivery service saying it was on them for not holding it at temp. Well, temp is not important if delivered and consumed within a 2 hour window. Food was delivered 13 minutes after leaving the restaurant and immediately unpacked and consumed. Question is how the food was prepared. I ll be visiting this place in November asking to meet Sam in person. Meanwhile I ll ask the health department to pay them a visit to observe proper food holding temps.

Loved how tender the beef was and went well with everything on the plate. I finished the entire thing. But the shawarma was very disappointing. Just meat rolled in bread with some vegetables. The funny thing is, my order that I know takes longer to cook, came ahead of the shawarma that my husband and daughter ordered. Was not worthy of a picture because its just a small serving on the plate. I was full, but they left hungry still after eating.

The short: come for the best Mediterranean/middle Eastern style (not just Lebanese) food in SCV. Mama chef takes pride in making delicious food and pastries. when the baklava fingers are fresh they are quite rich and savory yet not overly sweet. right now my fave is the birds nest. Service could use some improvement as it seems like the younger staff are overwhelmed with multiple tables but not quite crazy busy. About our experience: after 3 visits, this mama chef is actually improving her food every time we come. I love people who take pride and continuously improve, a rarity in restaurants that mostly stay the same or get worse as they establish themselves. The food: mezze platter for the vegetarian + falafel sandwich, lamb chops a la carte, and family feast for the meat eaters. If vegetarian, they have extremely well fried falafels and the classic mezze platter. Their batter though is surprisingly light on herbs (e.g. parsley and cilantro) compared to other Lebanese falafels Ive tried. But if you like more earthy heart falafels they are great! Good dips, especially the baba ghanoush if you love smokiness. Hummus is ok. Tzatziki is generous with cucumbers. Garlic sauce (not in the mezze platter but received through the family platter) is extra garlicky, yum for Koreans! Tahini sauce is flavorful thanks to lots of salt. Tabbouli is pretty good though had a lot of liquid for the amount of salad. The lamb chops, a huge hit with the meat eating fam. Dad stated, these are the best lamb chops out of any Mediterranean restaurant. A huge compliment I cant corroborate but all family members fought for the 4 chops we ordered. High quality and melt in your mouth. The family feast, good but not lick your plate clean. The family devoured the flies. Loved the rice and garlic sauce and beef / ground beef. Chicken was not a hit. Dessert: thank you mama chef for the baklava fingers treats at the end! everybody loved the baklava fingers for their savoriness and we ended up ordering more + a tray to go. Stepmom LOVES them. Birds nest is yum! Whole pistachios with orange blossom syrup is more in my lane than the buttery fingers. But everybody is a fan especially with the freshness. Service: a bummer today. However service on a somewhat busier day was not the best. At the beginning, 3 different people talked to us about our order which was confusing and then after our food came nobody came by at all. We were thirsty by the end of the meal, with empty cups but nobody came by at all. My sister had to walk in and ask twice for water. If it were And we had to sit outside with people smoking cigarettes right next to us. As a non smoking family it was a little disruptive. Overall, we all would come back. Our fave going out restaurant in SCV. Thank you mama chef for the party in our mouths. Please improve the service and youll get an updated review from me! Vegetarian options: Mezze platter with falafels is the bomb!

Unacceptable service, to be honest. I had to ask for menus because we sat down and nobody was serving us - we thought it s self service. Then we ordered a pot of tea, we got a cup of tea. They brought our starter - I had to go get utensils. We never got water - you guessed it, I had to ask for it, and we got 2 small cups when we were 2 adults and 2 children. They forgot my daughter s milk cup, had to ask for it again. Pita bread came as we were halfway through our starter. Nobody cleaned our table after the starters. When my main course came she picked up only half the table. Weren t given new utensils even though she picked up some of them. The dirty plates from the starters stayed until we left. I had to ask for my husband s food as they only brought out mine. She had forgotten it. The other waitress kept running back and forth to her tables - Literally running. I can appreciate the rush but that doesn t help the atmosphere at all having someone running around you. Waitresses were also bartenders. And I think one of them was also plating. Get more personnel and have them do a single role. Maybe then they can actually focus. Food-wise: The starter plate was great. I ordered combo shawarma which had nothing to do with shawarma - it was just sautéed chicken and beef strips. Hummus was good. Knefe was the reason why I picked this restaurant and it was extremely disappointing - the outer layer was something doughy when usually Knefe is made with angel hair/kadaif. Not enough syrup so it was basically a bready warm cheese. No kids menu. Super sad - was so excited we found a Lebanese restaurant on our way to Sequoia National Park l.

I love smaller independent restaurants. I feel the attention to detail much more prevalent. I just visited this place for the first time on a recommendation and was not disappointed. I got the chicken shawarma. The portion was generous and everything I had was really good. After paying my bill they brought us a little baklava desert that was a nice touch. If youre in SCV and like Mediterranean style food you should give this place a try. I will definitely be back.

Eating at Omaya s is not satisfying hunger. Eating at Omaya is the Lebanese child in every single expat missing the true authentic taste of home. It s remembering their mother s food. Every morsel is packed with flavours only a master can reproduce outside of Lebanon. To say the food is tasty is like saying the sun is a bit warm or the ocean is a bit damp. Every mouthful is a party on your palate and all your tastebuds are invited. The ingredients are not simply cooked, they are pieces of a well prepared orchestra and every single atom knows when to come in and how it performs seamlessly. You don t consume food at Omaya s, the food, the tastes, the aromas and the Fantabolous atmosphere engulfs you in a euphoria of memories of sitting at the table with parents back in Lebanon. Omaya s has no clients, it has an ever extending friends and family members who don t come to eat, they come for the feeling of belonging to a nation of people who eat with their eyes before their mouths. I myself am a chef, a Lebanese chef amongst other food, and when I want that certain feeling, I visit my extended family at my second home Omaya s. I am never disappointed, ever. From the instant you are greeted till the time you feel you really must go despite how much fun it is, the Lebanese hospitality and generosity is delivered by truckloads. At prices that are astonishingly reasonable. Eating at Omaya s is not because you are hungry for food, it s because you are homesick. I take off my chef s hat for you and I bow in awe. Love you, love your food, long may it continue.

Shrimp plate had hummus, garlic sauce rice and salad. Shrimp also had sautéed mushrooms Got babaganoush and muhammara to bring home. Even though I was full I tried both and they have great flavor- lunch for tomorrow For dessert rice pudding that was creamy and flavored with rose water. Couldnt get a table so we took the food home and enjoyed a delicious meal. The lamb shank was absolutely delicious, aromatic, full of flavors and a very generous portion. . UPDATE: Been back there 3 or 4 times since I had written the review. Tried different dishes every time. The food is absolutely amazing. Thanks again

Saw the great reviews and heard people saying how good the food was so wanted to try it. My review is only for take out, as I m sure in person it is better. Picked up the food right on time and drove it 6 minutes to my place. The food was cold to warm, the shrimp was unseasoned, and the side of veggies was 1/6 of a tomato and half of a jalapeño. The chicken did taste good, but was one of the colder items. My advice would be to eat in person. For the amount of food we had, it did seem expensive.

I rounded up to 5 stars cause 4.5 isnt possible. I had the Chicken Kabab wrap and Hot Mint Tea. Both was delicious. Someone I went with had the fries, which were nothing special. One negative is that my wrap came with the garlic sauce, when I asked for it to be on the side. It wasnt a deal breaker for me, but If you need anything left off make sure you get them to confirm it. I stopped by here as I was waiting to purchase a new car at the local BMW dealership. The food was tasty but the portions were on the smaller side. Overall I enjoyed the experience. The chef came out and greeted us and she was incredibly friendly. I enjoyed going, but the portion size led me to give 4/5.

Delicious! The food we had had amazing amounts of flavour. The chicken and beef shawarma were tender and juicy. Top tip, did your chicken into the garlic sauce, you wont be disappointed. We tried there spicy garlic sauce and to know ones surprise that was also yummy. Mix some of that in with the already buttery rice, perfection. We did book a table as it was SCV food week, first time using Google assistant to call and book. It worked out.

Tried for the first time and truly enjoyed the food. Salam was pleasant and helpful. Tried several items and everyone enjoyed them. They were very busy and with only one server and one chef the items did not come out together. My boys got their wraps after the rest of us were pretty much done with our meals. However, we will still return for the great food!

I will keep this simple. Discovered this place by accident, they just opened few months ago. The good: Food so fresh & tasty its too good to be true. L7me neyi/ Raw meat so fresh, every thing I tried was 10/10. I drove from Bakersfield 2 days in a row, this place is addictive. The sweets are 10 out of 10. Customer service: They are short staffed, but If you ask for Salam you will be in good hands. He knows how to provide the true Lebanese customer service, as a Lebanese that is what impressed me about this place too,the generousity, you get a feel like you are home, even Omaya came and talked to us. I recommend calling and making a reservation, I will go once a week for sure only on the days Salam is working, he gives the place its Lebanese vibe.

Absolutely amazing food. Just finished eating lunch there today. We had a 1/2 beef and 1/2 chicken shawarma plate. it was the best beef shawarma i have ever had and the chicken was amazing. I also really enjoyed the rice and the hummus, it was tons of food my mom and I shared the plate and my dad got a chicken shawarma wrap and he enjoyed the fries we got. I also thought the garlic sauce was great too.The different baklava flavors were fantastic too and fun to try.
